ISRAEL’S HISTORY FORETOLD FROM THE BEGINNING

God does not simply react to Israel’s history; He predicted it before they ever entered the land.

Key passages from Moses:

  1. Israel would enter the land
    Deuteronomy 30:5
  2. Israel would be unfaithful
    Deuteronomy 31:16–17
  3. Israel would be exiled and scattered to all nations
    Deuteronomy 28:64
    Leviticus 26:33
  4. Even from worldwide dispersion, God would regather them
    Deuteronomy 30:1–4
    Nehemiah 1:8–9

This is the very foundation of biblical prophecy: Israel’s entire national history was foretold before it happened.

THE PROPHETS CONFIRM MOSES’ PREDICTIONS

The Major Prophets build on Moses’ covenant warnings and promises.

Jeremiah:
Israel scattered for disobedience but later regathered
Jeremiah 16:14–15
Jeremiah 23:3–8
Jeremiah 30:10–11

Ezekiel:
Regathering from all nations into their land
Ezekiel 36:22–24
Ezekiel 37:21–28

Isaiah:
Worldwide return of a remnant
Isaiah 11:11–12
Isaiah 43:5–7

Zechariah:
Two‑thirds of Israel cut off; one‑third purified
Zechariah 13:8–9

Every prophetic book reinforces the same pattern Moses laid down.

THE FINAL TRIBULATION AND THE ANTICHRIST

Jesus, Daniel, and Revelation describe a last-days global crisis centered on Israel.

Daniel’s prophecy:
A final ruler (the “Little Horn”) persecutes the saints and Israel
Daniel 7:21–25
Daniel 9:26–27
Daniel 12:1

Jesus’ teaching:
When the Antichrist declares he is God in the temple in Jerusalem (midpoint of the last seven years), great tribulation breaks out for the Jews but also believers.
Matthew 24:15–22
Luke 21:20–24

Revelation:
The Beast (Antichrist) and False Prophet lead a global rebellion. Believers raptured at trumpet blast and opening of the seventh seal. At sixth seal, the prophesied celestial signs precede the Day of the Lord and it says, “the great day of their wrath has come” (Rev. 6:17) so at the seventh seal the trumpet and bowl judgements commence. Also after seventh seal, John sees the multitude of raptured believers standing before the throne of God (Rev. 7:9). Each of the seven churches represent the church in the last seven years, just as the seals represent what is unfolding in the last seven years and note it is the sixth church (Philadelphia) that is raptured at the trumpet blast opening of the seventh seal “Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world” (Rev.3:10). The Laodicean church will face the wrath of God, “For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked” (Rev. 3:17)
Revelation 13
Revelation 16:13–16
Revelation 19:19

Israel is refined in this period, exactly as Moses and the prophets predicted.
