BIBLICAL END-TIMES PROPHECIES

“Because approximately half of the prophecies of the Bible have already been fulfilled in a literal way, it gives a proper intellectual basis for assuming that prophecy yet to be fulfilled will likewise have a literal fulfillment. At the same time, it justifies the conclusion that the Bible is inspired of the Holy Spirit and that prophecy goes far beyond any scheme of man but is instead a revelation by God of that which is to come to pass.

Consider carefully. If every prophecy concerning Jesus’ first coming was fulfilled, couldn’t we logically expect each prophecy concerning his second coming also to be fulfilled? Not one prophecy of Scripture has ever been wrong. Many have already been remarkably fulfilled. Some await fulfillment, but none has ever been shown to be erroneous.

There are 300 plus prophecies of Jesus first coming that were fulfilled but there are 2000 plus prophecies of Jesus’ second coming and the end of this age. This should be a sufficient warning that God wants us to be prepared for what is coming. God gives us incredible detail on the last seven years prior to Jesus’ return to this earth to put things right. What we discover from the prophecies is that as many as 50% of people in our churches particularly the denominational churches are not born again. They have never received the Holy Spirit which is the only sure sign of conversion. Hence, as the persecution of Christians increases we will see the great falling away Jesus prophesied would happen as persecution of Christians intensifies. The apostasy in the Institutional church denominations is sad but is the reason God had to bring tribulation to purify His church. Gay marriage and homosexual pastors is not OK.

The Bible says we can recognize the signs and the times. Why would signs be given, if they were not to be recognized? Wouldn’t you think God would desire to warn His people they were in the waning days of this age? The flood wasn’t sprung on Noah at the last minute. No, he was given a specific mission for that last bit of time before the prediluvian age ended. Noah had to hear the warning. Heed that warning. Realize it applied to him. Noah had to stop the debate and accept this judgment was coming. He had to confirm. He had to end the debate. So, think with me. What if our nearness to the last days could be confirmed, and the energy Christians spend debating it was refocused on the important rescue mission at hand? What if you could end the debate inside yourself?

What if the church could with certainty know time was ticking; therefore, the fun and games needed to stop, and the mission of Christ was to be taken seriously more than ever? What if followers of Christ could see the finish line? If they could, they’d understand it was time to shift to an all-out sprint. The slow steady pace would be history. That dreaming sounds good, but again—can we know? Yes. Scripture provides signs of the end of the age. Many for that matter. When one begins looking for Biblical signs of the last days, they find there is an overwhelming amount.

Some of the Biblical signs have existed in some way in almost every generation. Others are specific signs that will appear only at the time of the end. As someone pinpointing a location on a gridded map, the last days would be found when those general signs are precisely intersected with the specific ones. A convergence of the manifestation of signs is what we’re looking for.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.1 Peter 4:7

MAKING A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

God used the prophet Isaiah to encourage the Children of Israel after they lived in exile for many years. The people no longer believed they had a successful future. Negative thinking patterns kept them trapped. The message delivered by the prophet offered a new way forward for the Children of Israel, and it will do the same for you.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” Isaiah 43:18–19

Forget the Former Things

Success always begins with the decision to forget the former things. We cannot move into the future with God if we are still looking in the rearview mirror. You may have tried to step out in faith and your dreams didn’t work out. Maybe your business failed or the ministry didn’t get off the ground. Perhaps you’ve tried to lose weight but have failed many times.

“Former things” have the power to keep us stuck if we’re not careful. God wants us to understand that despite our past failures, He still has a plan for our future. He has given us the Holy Spirit as our counsellor, teacher, and comforter.

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact, the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him... If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:9,11

The Holy Spirit is the one who produces the fruit of the Spirit in our lives; love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, kindness, and self-control,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control.Galatians 5:22

We must walk by the Spirit

I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other so that you don’t do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18

As well, He is the one that provides the gifts of the Spirit for ministry, all nine of them.

A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial: to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.
But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:4-10

The path to achieving our goals starts with the decision to forget the former things and concentrate on asking God the Father for guidance. Nothing happens without prayer. Jesus made it possible for us to pray to our Heavenly Father. We pray to our Heavenly Father in Jesus’ name and He will ensure the Holy Spirit guides our steps. Note all three persons of the Trinity should be involved in our lives.

Our prayers must be for God’s will to be done in our lives not our will, Then and only then can you do all things through Him who gives you strength.

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.Philippians 4:13 ESV

Perceive What God Is Doing

We must learn how to perceive where God is taking us. You may not see the full manifestation of your purpose right now, but if you are being led by the Holy Spirit He will cause circumstances to spring up, which offer clues to guide you forward. It could be that a door unexpectedly opens. Or perhaps a door closes that you thought would stay open.

It’s not our place to know every detail about the future, but if we are in prayer the Holy Spirit will reveal the next step in the journey. In some cases, God has already given us instructions and is waiting for us to make the next move. You must know that God is actively working in your life. If you stop dwelling on the past you can perceive the Holy Spirit’s next step forward.

Trust That God Will Make a Way

It’s important to trust that God is making a way into the unknown places that we can’t handle on our own. If we have a dream that could happen without any assistance from God, then the dream did not come from God. The prospect of walking into our destiny should feel slightly overwhelming, or perhaps even impossible, without help from above. If we limit our future to what we can handle on our own, we will not step into the deeper things that God is doing.

It’s easy to focus on the unknown variables that make us feel unqualified, but that’s why we are in partnership with God. He will make a way in the wilderness where there is no clear path and provide streams in the wasteland when there are no resources. Don’t give your limitations the power to stop you from moving forward with God’s plans.

Make sure that you have at least one good Holy Spirit empowered mentor preferably more than one. A regular weekly connection at least by phone with two others is valuable. If you are in business, organizations like the International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) are helpful. Their websites are http://www.iccc.net and http://www.transformedworkinglife.net

IMPORTANCE OF THE PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE

Jesus used the symbol of the FIG TREE for Israel three times in His ministry.

First: He told the Parable of the Barren Fig Tree in Luke 13: 6-9. It’s about a tree that had no fruit in the first three years He visited it. This would equate to the first three years of Jesus’ ministry. So again, the fig tree is a symbol of the nation of Israel, based in Jerusalem, which Jesus visited yearly.

Second: In Mark 11: 12-20, Jesus cursed a fig tree for not bearing fruit, and it withered and miraculously died overnight. In the morning, the disciples saw this withered tree. In this parable it was obvious Jesus was referring to Israel. It was the very same day Jesus would tell them the Fig Tree Parable. So, when Jesus said, “Learn the parable from the fig tree,” this miraculous withered tree was prominent in their minds. These aren’t two unrelated accounts – it was the same day.

Third: When Jesus told the Parable of the Fig Tree it was as part of His answer to the disciple’s question:

Tell us, when will these things happen? And what is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?Matthew 24:3

The disciples knew that Jesus is referring to Israel when he commands them to learn from this parable.

Now learn this parable from the fig tree: As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near — at the door! I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. Matthew 24:32-35

And just hours before telling the parable, Jesus had also confronted the Jewish leaders in the temple saying,
See, your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One!Matthew 23:38

That was the moment Jesus withered the nation of Israel! This confrontation was also fresh in the disciples’ minds; and in fact, that heated denunciation of Israel by Jesus was the very reason that the disciples had begun to ask Him about the Last Days and the signs of His coming. Therefore, the Fig Tree Parable is about this withered fig tree that they had seen earlier that morning. It cannot be about anything else.

The creation of the state of Israel marks the beginning of the Final Generation and therefore the identity that we’re in the Last
days, and this makes sense as there are a multitude of end-time passages that require Israel to exist in the Last Days. Numerous
passages in the prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, as well as in the Gospels all refer to the Last Days Israel.
That’s why, in our opinion, Israel becoming a nation in 1948 is the fig tree sprouting leaves, the fig tree coming back to life.

Israel being miraculously re-established as a nation in 1948 was the first major “end times” sign.

Jesus said when the fig tree sprouted leaves, we could know “summer” was near. What did He mean by that? Is that a symbol as well? In the Hebraic calendar, there is a three-week period (17th of Tammuz till the 9th of Av) during summer which is observed as a period of mourning. It was during this period that both Holy Temples were destroyed (in 586 BC and AD 70). It is the bleakest period of the Jewish year. This reference would not have been lost on the disciples who would have recognized it as a symbol for a time of extreme difficulties, and tribulation – the Last Days.

HAVE THE LAST DAYS BEGUN?

Read what Marquis Laughlin has to say, “as a new believer, I was fascinated to discover that God has told us in the Bible everything He is about to do. It contains hundreds of fulfilled predictions. Many of them were fulfilled down to the day! That’s really what sold me on God. He is in control. He is sovereign, all-knowing, and all-powerful! He is…God!”

Marquis Laughlin wrote the Foreword for the new FREE BOOK 10 SIGNS The Last Days Have Already Begun. It is available on the new website created by Nelson Walters and Jake McCandless http://www.lastdaysovercomer.org. If you are not positive we are in the last days before Jesus returns to earth then you MUST read this book.

“The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.” Ezekiel 12:23

Apostle Paul commends the Bereans as being more noble” because they “searched the scriptures daily” to see if Paul’s teachings were true.

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Many of them, therefore, believedActs 17:11

If the Bereans thought it was wise to double-check Paul’s writing with the scriptures, shouldn’t we be regularly checking the scriptures to make sure what we’ve been taught is accurate?

As you read 10 Signs The Last Days Have Already Begun I pray that you will be like the Bereans were, that you’ll be a story detective, searching the scriptures daily to make sure what is being taught here is true. May the Lord grant you even more of the context you need to understand your part in His Story better.

Jesus began his teaching to the disciples on the end times with: “Now learn this parable from the fig tree.” Jesus thought this teaching was so important that He commanded his followers to learn this parable and what its interpretation meant. It was the only time in scripture that He gave His followers that command.

Learning this parable is probably a great place for any Christian to start understanding the Last Days. From it, you can figure out if you are part of the Final Generation; and therefore, if you need to begin to prepare for those times.

If we can know and confirm in our hearts that we are the final generation and we’re in the last days, then how will we respond?

Mental belief isn’t enough, we must respond in action.
Conviction is required. Conviction we can know the signs. Conviction they are being fulfilled. Conviction to believe God will bring these things to pass. Conviction to prepare. Conviction to help others prepare. Conviction to step back from the arguments and move forward in unity. Conviction to make the most of this time for the Lord.

Satan is acting in response to knowing the end is coming. He knows his time is short so he’s trying to inflict as much harm as possible.

Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath because he knows that his time is short!” Revelation 12:12

EXPOSING THOSE PEOPLE BEING USED BY SATAN TO STOP THE GOSPEL

Jesus commands us to cast out demons and yet look at what this video shows us happens when we do as Jesus commanded.

When Jesus appointed his twelve disciples note what He gave them authority to do: “to cast out demons”.

And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach and have authority to cast out demons.Mark 3:14-15

God warns us that we do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in the heavenly realm.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.Ephesians 6:12

This is the first episode of a video series around the persecution of Torben Sondergaard, a pastor from Denmark. He is currently being detained in Florida, without formal charges. PERSECUTION IN IRAN AND ITS CONNECTION WITH THE CHRISTMAS STORY

Persecution is and has always been at the center of the Christmas story because Jesus came to rescue the lost and crush Satan’s head. This cosmic battle still rages on today. As Christians celebrate Christmas in Iran, they find comfort in the similarities between their story and the story of the birth of Christ.

We must first understand the connection between ancient Persia (Iran), the Wise men, and the birth of Jesus, and how persecution unites them all. Did you know that Iran has a historic significance all over the Bible? From Esther saving Israel to King Cyrus paying for the rebuilding of the Jewish temple, Iran has always played and will continue to play a major role in the biblical narrative. Let’s take the wise men for example. Did you know that the wise men were Persian? The Iranians were the first people to recognize and worship Jesus as Messiah. Let’s follow the Christmas story as it plays out so we can see how Iran is a major player in the Christmas narrative.

A star shone in the East, where wise men from modern-day Iran felt compelled to follow the once-in-a-lifetime cosmic event passed down to them by Daniel the prophet of God. It must be remembered that Daniel was the chief prefect over all the wise men (Magi) of Persia (Iran). Daniel’s prophecies about the coming King of the Jews including the 70 Weeks prophecy would have been known by the Magi.

Then the king (King Nebuchadnezzar) gave Daniel high honors and many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.Daniel 2:48

When they reached Jerusalem, Herod demanded to know about this “king of the Jews.” So the Magi sensed what he was up to and made their way to Bethlehem, where they presented their gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus, the toddler (The greek word paidion). That night, they were warned in a dream to return to their country by another route because Herod was about to launch a campaign to massacre the innocents.

This is the incident described in the nativity narrative of the Gospel of Matthew (2:16–18) in which Herod the Great, king of Judea, orders the execution of all male children, who were two years old and under. Jesus and His family knew what persecution tasted like from a very young age. Mary and Joseph were also awoken in the night by an angel and urged to flee in the cover of night to Egypt, where they escaped the wrath of Herod.

Some can say believers from Iran go through similar trials to worship Christ as they face persecution daily from their government leaders. Just as Mary and Joseph went into hiding to escape being killed by Herod, members of the underground church left their homes to protect their families.

Like the wise men, believers have received dreams and visions of the “Man in White”, guiding them to a real and tangible relationship with the Messiah. Many have had “power encounters” with Jesus, just as Mary and Joseph had encounters with the angel. In this way, the Christmas story remains more relevant than ever to Christians who put their lives on the line for their faith. Despite the persecution, the Iranian church loves to celebrate Christmas together. It’s a time to gather and experience the peace Jesus brought, even in dangerous areas of the world. They truly understand the truth of this Scripture.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 I am hard-pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. 24 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.Philippians 1:21

As we celebrate this Christmas holiday season, let us make sure we pray for our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters not only in Iran but all over the world particularly in Muslim countries.

THE METAVERSE – PART OF SATAN’S END TIMES STRATEGY

I remain highly concerned about how The Metaverse will impact our world. If we lose touch with our physical reality, we risk losing who we are under God and in Christ. We are made in God’s image. There is no duality between body and spirit. For Christians, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Secular thought today assumes a body/person split, with the body being defined in the ‘fact’ realm by empirical science/evolution (lower story) and the person defined in the ‘values’ realm/religion as the basis for rights (upper story). This dualism has created a fractured, fragmented view of the human being, in which the body is treated as separate from the authentic self”

If the body is not actually part of the person, it is devalued of God-given divinity and exists as a tool to use for pleasure. This is where issues like transgenderism find their roots. For these individuals, the physical body is not aligned with the person; they are bifurcated. Gender is purely a social construct and not a result of biology.

If we study the progressive movement closely, we will find that many of their social ideologies find their root in efforts to disrupt the person/body connection and destroy our humanity. Nancy Pearcey writes extensively about this in her book Love Thy Body. Here, she describes how, on a philosophical level, the modern person aims to bifurcate the reality between our body and person. If we understand them to not be morally and/or spiritually intertwined, we can find justification for all kinds of immoral acts.

Similar logic can be found in arguments that justify abortion. In these cases, the fetus is not really a person; it’s only cells. The cells will not become a person until some point in time that is convenient for the parties involved (this is called personhood theory). Again, underneath these arguments is an existential bifurcation of the body from the person. If the body and the person are not unified, the body is disposable. The same philosophical, two-story setup is found throughout the sexual revolution. When the body is fundamentally, philosophically, and theologically removed from the spirit/person, the body is a meaningless instrument for pleasure. This is wholly opposed to what scripture teaches about reality.

On the importance of having a holistic, unified biblical view of the body and person, Pearcey writes, “…it is based on a teleological (explanation of phenomena in terms of the purpose they serve rather than of the cause by which they arise) worldview that encourages us to live in accord with the physical design of our bodies. By respecting the body, the biblical ethic overcomes the dichotomy separating body from person. It heals self-alienation and creates integrity and wholeness…it fits who we really are.”

For our young people, will the Metaverse reality become as important (if not more important) than the physical one? Characters have avatars, homes, transportation, currency, and even education all in a virtual world. Will in most places, the physical world (God’s world) be in such disarray and dereliction that it is abandoned for time and life in the virtual world?

Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal published a story with the title: “Kids Don’t Want Cash Anymore.” The article outlined how young people no longer value real-world currency as much as generations before. Instead, they want virtual currencies – in this case, virtual currency for the game Roblox or V-Bucks from the game Fortnite – to buy virtual items to use in their video games.

This may seem strange for older generations, but it’s part of a larger trend. Gaming is just as much a social activity today as it is a game. It’s how so many of us hang out with friends and have fun.

And for the younger crowds, physical possessions that sit on a shelf at home have far less value. Increasingly, people – especially young people – value virtual items as much or more than physical items. To them, a virtual piece of clothing is as desirable as the real thing. What they look like online or in a game, of what they can do with their characters/avatars are often far more important than what they look like in real life.

I believe the Metaverse is part of Satan’s “end times” strategy which also involves demons posing as aliens which I addressed in a recent post: NASA EMPLOYS PASTORS TO PREPARE THE WORLD FOR ALIENS.

If you needed further proof that this is the prophesied end times this is it. Now is the time to draw closer to God and make sure each day of your life is directed by the Holy Spirit.

BEAUTY AS FOOD FOR THE SOUL

“Beauty as food for the soul” comes from C.S. Lewis. The theme of beauty remained a central thread throughout Lewis’s life.

In fact, Jack (C.S. Lewis’s self-chosen childhood nickname) described himself as a beauty hunter. He spent his life seeking to find that place where all the beauty came from and of course he found it, our magnificent creator God. And that pursuit nurtured his work. Beauty, for Lewis, began in the simple beauty of the landscape and transposed itself into the literature Lewis came to love and master.

The more you study Lewis and his writing, the more you find a man of simple yet robust tastes. A man who took the time to imbibe the simplicity of the beauty around him. It was no frivolous pursuit. Beauty, as it turned out, was food for the soul.

Lewis enjoyed the habit of walking the garden before breakfast in order to drink in “the beauty of the morning, thanking God for the weather, the roses, the song of the birds, and anything else he could find to enjoy.”

His brother, Warren Lewis noted:

“Jack’s mind was developing and flowering on lines as unpolitical as can be imagined. His letters of the time are full of landscape and romance: they record his discovery of George MacDonald—a turning point in his life—and his first and characteristic delight in Chaucer, Scott, Malory, the Brontës, William Morris, Coleridge, de Quincey, Spenser, Swinburne, Keats.”

When was the last time you took a walk only to pick out the beauties surrounding you, thanking God for them? If you’re anything like me, it’s been too long.

You don’t have to be a literary giant, a great philosopher, or a mystic to understand and appreciate beauty. You just have to be willing to take a walk and, as Tolstoy says, look around you.

In the name of God, stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.” Leo Tolstoy

THE GREATEST RISKS AHEAD FOR CHRISTIANS

What will be the greatest risk for Christians in the years ahead? What does God tell us will happen in the last days? One thing is clear, Jesus tells us that God initiates a lot of events to alert us, so we will be prepared particularly for the coming persecution. The tribulation will intensify to great tribulation when the Antichrist claims to be God.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.Matthew 24:21-22

Jesus wants us to be bold and courageous, to be overcomers, at this time doing what He has called us to do. We have been entrusted with the Holy Spirit to guide our every step. Whatever happens, we can be sure He will be with us through it all, just as He was with Stephen.

And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” Acts 7:59-60

In fact, all of these “end times” events (birth pangs) start at the same time, it is a multi-crisis and that is exactly what we see playing out right now.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 24:7-13

NAR MOVEMENT – “END TIMES” FALSE APOSTLES, PROPHETS, AND TEACHERS

Is there a new reformation happening in the church? It depends on who you ask. The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a popular and fast-growing movement of Christians who emphasize signs and wonders and teach that God is giving new revelation through new apostles and prophets. Bethel Church in Redding, California is a prime example. But is this biblical Christianity? In “Counterfeit Kingdom – The Dangers of New Revelation and New Age Practices in the Church” apologists and NAR experts Holly Pivec and Douglas Geivett show how the NAR’s key tenets distort the gospel, twist the Scriptures, are influenced by New Age practices, and lead faithful Christians to shipwreck their faith. They also offer practical suggestions for listeners who are already influenced by the NAR, curious about it, or concerned about loved ones who have been swept up in the movement. What used to be on the fringes of the church is now mainstream, and many are being influenced by it unaware. This book is a wake-up call.

How do we discern who are the false prophets and teachers? One way is simply to ask them what evidence they can give us that they are God’s prophet for today? Also, we can observe what they teach and how they teach. What they teach about prayer is a telling sign. Not submitting their prayers to “not my will but Your will be done” is a telling sign. Obviously, if what they teach is not biblical then we should discount their claims. Also, many of the NAR prophets in the USA prophesied Trump would be re-elected President and got it wrong, and yet they are not considered false prophets. Look what God says about false prophets.

If any prophet dares to speak a message in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or to speak in the name of other gods, that prophet must be put to deathDeuteronomy 18:20

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.Matthew 7:21-23

Jesus told us ahead of time that apostasy, a falling away would occur in the church before His return to put things right.

And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.Matthew 24:11-13
