LEAVING ISLAM FOR CHRIST’S FREEDOM CONVICTED ME THAT SILENCE IS SIN

This is a great article by Hedieh Mirahmadi, Exclusive Columnist of The Christian Post. In the process of leaving Islam for Christ’s freedom, she was convicted that not actively sharing your faith is sin.

In a world that vilifies biblical truth, the temptation to stay silent grows stronger every day. Ecclesiastes 3:7 reminds us there’s “a time to be silent and a time to speak,” yet too often Christians choose silence when the world needs our voice the most.

As a former Muslim who spent years navigating spiritual deception before encountering Christ, I understand the cost of keeping quiet. Silence can feel safe, but it’s a betrayal of the Gospel. We are called to proclaim truth boldly, even when it costs us everything, as it did for Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, whose recent martyrdom ignited a fire for revival.

Silence often stems from unbelief. When we doubt God’s power, we clamp our mouths shut, much like Zechariah, struck mute for questioning God’s promise of a son. Before I knew Jesus, I thought silence was strategic — avoiding conflict to blend in. Faith demands more. As 2 Corinthians 4:13 declares, “I believed, therefore I spoke.” We who believe must speak, openly proclaiming truth as Paul urged in 2 Corinthians 4:2, renouncing “the things hidden because of shame.” In a culture quick to brand biblical convictions as “hate speech,” unbelief whispers to stay quiet. Faith shouts.

Speaking truth comes at a price. John 3:20 warns that the world hates the light because it exposes evil. Scripture and history bear this out: Abel, the first martyr; John the Baptist, beheaded for calling out sin; Stephen, stoned for his unyielding testimony in Acts 7. Modern heroes like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and Bobby Kennedy paid with their lives for their convictions.

Some call it hate speech, but truth often sounds like hate to those in darkness. Jesus Himself was crucified for speaking the truth. Silent before Pilate, bearing our sins, He spoke when asked if He was King: “For this purpose I have come into the world: to testify to the truth” (John 18:37). Pilate’s scoff — “What is truth?” — mirrors today’s relativism, where truth is sacrificed for tolerance.

My journey from Islam to Christianity taught me that silence enables oppression. In Islamic regimes, dissent is crushed, much like the synagogue leaders who accused Stephen of blasphemy when they couldn’t counter his wisdom. They covered their ears and killed him, just as today’s cancel culture silences truth-tellers. Stephen’s angelic face as he forgave his killers echoes the love that transformed me from legalism to grace. Ephesians 5:11 compels us: “Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them.” Charlie’s martyrdom wasn’t murder; it was a spark for revival. After his death and Erika’s powerful speech, Turning Point USA grew from 2,000 to 32,000 chapters. The enemy snuffed out a candle, but God ignited an inferno.

Yet how many of us shrink back? Like Moses, reluctant to lead, or Isaiah, feeling unworthy, we make excuses. Fear of rejection? Loss of approval? Luke 6:26 warns, “Woe to you when all the people speak well of you.” We are sent — dispatched by Jesus, who said, “Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:21). Silence isn’t an option. Psalm 39:2 describes the pain of holding back: “I was mute and silent … And my pain was stirred up.” Paul, battered in Corinth, heard Christ say, “Go on speaking and do not be silent” (Acts 18:9). Charlie was a megaphone for truth; we must be too.

CHARLIE’S MARTYRDOM IS TRULY A TURNING POINT FOR THE USA

Eric Metaxas reflects on his time at the Charlie Kirk memorial in Phoenix, sharing powerful moments of faith and unity. He highlights the surprising breadth of Christian remarks from the current administration and explores why many believe this moment could mark the beginning of revival in America.

You will be blessed if you watch this video. Eric is a remarkable communicator and yet he had difficulty finding the right words to express what he saw at Charlie Kirk’s memorial. It was such a powerful witness of the Christian faith by the top leaders of the government of the USA.

The name of Charlie Kirks ministry is Turning Point and Charlie’s martyrdom may very well be a turning point for the USA.

CHARLIE KIRK EFFECT IN AUSTRALIA

Matt Canavan, Nationals Senator for Queensland talks good sense about what Australia needs to do to make a comeback. We have all that we need in terms of resources but we have voted in a socialist government that is committed to Net Zero emissions in an absurd time frame.

I was surprised to hear him talk about Charlie Kirk and the impact for good his assassination is having worldwide, and even here in Australia.

I am now convinced that God is working in the hearts of the young, I have done many posts on young people turning to God particularly on university campuses in the USA, but also UK and Australia: 1. TRUMP’S TRIBUTE TO CHARLIE KIRK

The number of people that attended Charlie’s Kirk tribute was amazing and there is no doubt that God is going to use Charlie’s martyrdom to bring many into His Kingdom.

This tribute of Charlie Kirk by Trump shows how close they were in life and the extent Charlie contributed to Trump’s election win.

This is an impressive off the cuff speech by Trump and has lifted my opinion of him significantly. Let me now what you think of it.

He described Charlie Kirk as a “great American hero” as tens of thousands gathered to remember the slain conservative activist at a Sunday memorial in Arizona that was both religious service and conservative political rally.

CHARLIE KIRK ON CRITICAL RACE THEORY

Critical Race Theory

Charlie Kirk’s organisation, which he co-founded, Turning Point USA, was well known for being deeply opposed to Critical Race Theory (CRT). This is one of the biggest false teachings facing Christians today, which Kirk and his crew have addressed head-on.

In short, Kirk believed that one’s race shouldn’t count for anything, but instead, what really matters is one’s character and actions. For an excellent five-minute summary of what this means, see the following video:

EXPERTS LINK SEXUAL REVOLUTION WITH GENDER CHAOS

Canadian journalist Jonathon Van Maren, host of “The Jonathon Van Maren Show,” contended that the roots of transgender ideology can be traced directly to the sexual revolution, as does “Generation Indoctrination,” host Brandon Showalter. “If you spend any time in the land of gender confusion, there’s a common question you’ll hear asked among bewildered people: how on Earth did we get here?” Showalter says in the episode, “From ‘Free Love’ to Gender Chaos: Tracing the Road from the Sexual Revolution to Today.”

“The sexual revolution was a revolution. It was the tearing down of all boundaries surrounding what is sex, what is procreation, what is family,” Van Maren said. “It was to a degree inevitable that eventually they would begin to redefine the very concept of self.” Van Maren called the movement “the bloodiest revolution in all of human history,” pointing to the legalization of abortion across the West in the years that followed. Unlike abortion’s “silent and unseen victims,” he said, the victims of trans ideology are living and speaking out. “The barbarism perpetrated against the bodies of these primarily young people can be witnessed by all,” he adds.

Jennifer Roback Morse, president of the Ruth Institute and author of The Sexual State, stressed that contradictions within the revolution are inevitable. “We’re at war with male and female. We’re at war with the human body,” Morse said. “As long as we’re at war with that, we’re going to be creating one bit of craziness after another.”

Nathanael Blake, a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and author of Victims of the Revolution: How Sexual Liberation Hurts Us All, said the revolution promised freedom but ultimately undermined the meaning of male and female.

“The Sexual Revolution promised that if we pursued pleasure and disregarded commitments and obligations, we would be freer, more authentic and happy,” Blake said. “But instead, if you say there’s no meaning to sex other than what you feel about it, that necessarily means male and female don’t matter.” He noted that same-sex marriage was quickly followed by a cultural pivot to transgender activism, a logical outgrowth of the claim that biological sex is irrelevant.

Looking to the future, Blake warned that if the revolution continues unchecked, even darker outcomes could follow. “We could certainly see a push towards paedophilia,” he said, noting that such movements had intellectual support in the 1970s. “I hope we’ve reached a point where this evil of transgenderism will recede … but we need to be faithful, and then we need to trust and hope that God will deliver us from evil.”

It is good to know from Biblical end times prophecies that Jesus return is near and He will deliver us from evil and restore righteousness. Sadly, the following verse is true of many that practice and promote this unrighteousness.

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

IMPACT CHARLIE KIRK HAD ON JORDAN PETERSON

I really enjoyed this video and am sure that God used it to impact Dr Jordan Peterson. Peterson engages in conversation with the recently assassinated Charlie Kirk—author, speaker, and founder and CEO of Turning Point USA. As the interview progresses you can see how the two men connect and enjoy one another’s company. They delve into Kirk’s emergence as a leading voice in the Conservative movement, his choice to bypass traditional higher education, and the early indicators of ideological bias in academia. The discussion also addresses how the university system has not only tilted toward the hyper-feminine but has transformed into a large-scale scam. Additionally, they examine academia’s departure from timeless questions of good and evil, faith, and foundational philosophy, to a focus on Marxist economics and cultural capture.

It will be interesting to see how Charlie Kirk’s assassination affects Jordan Peterson’s ministry. I believe it will be for the good of the Kingdom of God.

Charlie Kirk is the Founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to rallying, organizing, and empowering students to advocate for principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government. With a presence on more than 3,500 high school and college campuses in all 50 states, and supported by over 350 full-time staff members, Turning Point USA stands as the nation’s largest and fastest-growing conservative youth activist organization. In addition to Turning Point USA’s on-campus presence, it also operates a massive online outreach initiative that garners billions of video views annually and reaches millions of Americans every day with conservative, pro-America content. In addition to his role at Turning Point USA, Charlie also served as the CEO and founder of Turning Point Action, a related entity operating under a 501(c)(4) status. Turning Point Action’s mission is to embolden the conservative base through grassroots activism and to provide voters with the necessary resources to elect true conservative leaders. Turning Point Action has earned recognition as one of the leading grassroots forces in the country today. This episode was filmed on March, 19th, 2025.

JESUS TOLD US THAT IN THE WORLD CHRISTIANS WILL HAVE TROUBLE

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” John 16:33

This world is fallen, and pain is inevitable, but God understands suffering and for those that repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour He sends the Holy Spirit to be our comforter as well as our counsellor and teacher.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” Psalm 23:4

We are not forsaken. God, who carried the cross, knows our torment. Jesus wept for Lazarus, bore the lash of betrayal, and drank the full cup of God’s wrath against sin. He is not a distant deity; He is near, catching every tear, feeling every wound. His scarred hands hold us. When the world’s brokenness threatens to drown us, we cling to the One who declares, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Our agony is not unseen; our pain is not without purpose.

Scripture is laden with proof that God understands our suffering with Jesus Himself being the greatest example, for “Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit” (1 Peter 3:18). In John 15:18, Jesus also warned us, “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.

But 1 Peter 5:10 asks us to hold on, for “after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” And we can find comfort in the promise of Psalm 147:3, “He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.

God uses tragedy for good.

In the chaos of Charlie’s assassination, as panic gripped and hope flickered, Joseph Backholm of Family Research Council asked God to use this for good. And you know what? He is.

They report people are falling to their knees in prayer. Souls who’ve never darkened a church’s door feel a pull to worship. “I’ve seen hearts break open — people apologizing for venomous words hurled at Charlie, ashamed of their hatred”. Some are abandoning ideologies soaked in malice, seeing them for the poison they are. Others are rising, vowing to carry the torch of truth, to marry and raise families rooted in faith, to use their voices to ignite courage in others. Christians, too, are shaking off their slumber, emboldened to stand unyielding in the face of evil.

It is difficult to fully fathom why such heartbreak is allowed, why evil is permitted to wound so deeply. But know this: God is good. No weapon formed against His purposes will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). As Charles Spurgeon so powerfully said, “I have learned to kiss the wave that slams me into the Rock of Ages.” I despise the pain we endure, but I praise a God rich in grace and mercy, who gives our suffering meaning — who gives us hope in life and death. He takes what evil intends for destruction and weaves it into redemption. As Genesis 50:20 declares, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”

Where, o death, is your victory? Where, o grave, is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55

I firmly believe that Charlie was a brother in Christ, which means a brother was taken from us. But do you know what else that means? Charlie is home now having been welcomed with the words all believers long to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

As Christians, we view suffering through the lens of eternity. This world, with all its beauty and brokenness, is not our final destination. Every trial we face, every tear we shed, carries eternal weight because we are running a race toward the finish line. Death does not have the final word. The pain we endure is no match for the blood of Christ. We have hope, now and forever, in His name, because He is the lamb who was slain for us. As Charlie posted days before his death, “Jesus defeated death so you can live.”

The sting of death for the Christian? Gone! Christ has taken that sting for us, and death is now a welcome friend.” Someday soon, we will see, before our very eyes, Jesus returning in the clouds.

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him… Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

But as this Scripture reveals, the Antichrist (man of lawlessness0 comes first. Many of the Biblical end times prophecies given to us by Jesus, Paul, John and the O.T. prophets particularly Daniel, Isaiah and Ezekiel are playing out in our day. In Daniel’s seventy weeks prophecy we are given a lot of detail on the the last seven years prior to Jesus return and based on what the UN is doing to implement a two state solution for Israel and Palestine (Peace Treaty) we may be at the beginning of the seven years. As Jesus told us:

Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28
