COULD THE VATICAN BELIEVE IN ALIENS?

The Vatican Observatory Research Group (VORG) operates the 1.8m Alice P. Lennon Telescope with its Thomas J. Bannan Astrophysics Facility, known together as the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT), at the Mount Graham International Observatory (MGIO) in southeastern Arizona where sky conditions are among the best in the world and certainly the Continental United States.

A new instrument for the world´s largest optical telescope, the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) on Mount Graham, allows astronomers to observe the faintest and most distant objects in the universe. After more than a decade of design, manufacturing, and testing, the new instrument, dubbed LUCIFER 1, provides a powerful tool to gain spectacular insights into the universe — from the Milky Way to extremely distant galaxies

According to EcumenicalNews.com, authors of a new book assert that Vatican astronomers are using both the VATT and the LBT’s LUCIFER instrument to watch for an alien saviour. Tom Horn and Chris Putnam, authors of Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican’s astonishing plan for the arrival of an alien saviour, visited with the Jesuit astronomers at the VATT, including Guy Consolmagno.

The authors claim that Consolmagno revealed to them documents showing that the Vatican believes “that we are soon to be visited by an alien saviour from another world.”

Guy Consolmagno speaks regularly about science and religion. In a 2010 interview, he told The Guardian, “Any entity – no matter how many tentacles it has – has a soul.” He made headlines because of this interview, in which he said he would offer to baptise an extraterrestrial being if one requested.

Consolmagno has also stated that the Pope and the Vatican are keen on science, and they are kept up-to-date on the latest scientific developments by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.

On April 1, Tom Horn and Chris Putnam appeared on the show of American Messianic Jew Sid Roth, where Putnam revealed what they have uncovered in their research.

“The records in the Vatican go back centuries,” said Putnam, who is a theologian. “I read two chapters of history concerning the Vatican’s interest in extra-terrestrials.”

“They have a whole theology developed around what they call the Principle of Plentitude, meaning anything God could do he would do,” said Putnam. Listen and be astounded by their findings.

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

If it is actually possible to have a “Happy New Year”, WHO can make it happen, and HOW does one go about it?

The Psalmist gives us our answer.

“Come and see what God has done:
HE is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
HE turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in HIM, who rules by HIS might forever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations—let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah” Psalm 66:5-7

What does Selah mean? It is a Hebrew word meaning a musical interlude; to pause and think about what was said or sung.

“By awesome deeds YOU answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation,
the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;
the one who by HIS strength established the mountains,
being girded with might; who stills the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples,

LOOK TO YOUR CREATOR, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, THE ONE WHO MADE YOU IN HIS IMAGE. HE HAS PROVIDED THE WAY BACK  – JESUS PAID THE PRICE REQUIRED BY A HOLY GOD. HE DIED AND ROSE AGAIN THAT YOU AND I MAY BE BORN AGAIN INTO A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. HE ALONE MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR NOW AND FOR ETERNITY.

IF WE DON’T JUDGE OURSELVES WE WILL BE JUDGED BY THE LORD

“For the time has come for judgement to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” 1 Pet. 4:17

The context of this verse is the glory of God. God wants to reveal His glory to us and through us, for His purpose has always been for the church to reflect His glory. He will do what He can to prepare us for His glory and to spare us from being judged. We must understand that His judgement is always in proportion to the manifestation of His glory. Always.

The judgement that fell on Ananias and Sapphira was equal to the pure glory of God that was manifesting in the early church (Acts 5). The judgement was severe because the glory was heavy. The Lord is zealous to restore His glory again among His people.

Goodness and severity is the two-edged sword of the Lord. If we don’t judge ourselves, we will be judged by the Lord.

“For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world” 1 Cor. 11:31-32

The Lord will awaken us and get our attention through His goodness or through His severity. The sleeper can be awakened with a kiss of kindness or a severe shaking. We choose.

“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God—severity toward those who fell, but goodness toward you, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise, you too will be cut off” Romans 11:22

At some point we need to be honest with ourselves and ask the tough questions.

Why are we being defeated? Why doesn’t the world respect us?  Why aren’t we impacting our culture and our spheres of influence? Where is the power of God? Why aren’t we seeing the glory of God that we see in the early church?

WORLD HAS MOVED FROM THEISM TO HUMANISM TO DATAISM

This article from a well known Financial Magazine shows us how quickly the world is moving away from belief in God and therefore a healthy fear of God.

The world has moved from theism to humanism to dataism, so says the best crypto brain from Silicon Valley and Wall Street,  James Altucher.

It all stems from the biggest shift in money since coinage was invented 1,000 years before Jesus was born…

In short, we’re moving as a civilisation from a philosophy of theism, to humanism, to data-ism.

What do I mean by that?

Take medicine as an example…

500 years ago, when you were sick, you’d pray to God to be healthier. In some societies, you might sacrifice an animal.

That’s theism.

Which eventually turned into humanism…

That’s when you would go to your doctor, tell him your symptoms — and he’d give you a diagnosis. He’d maybe tap your knee and check something, or do surgery.

Point is, you depended on humanism, a belief in your doctor and his medical training.

Now we’ve kind of evolved into data-ism with our health.

We use a Fitbit. We get bloodwork. We have robotic surgery. We can change coding in genes now to strip out deadly diseases!

In the medical industry, everything has moved from a belief in God to a belief that data will cure us.

Just look at how much you could have made buying the right pharmaceutical stocks… a pharma company named Biogen has seen its stock go up 10,000%…

I would suggest this article is just another confirmation we are in the Biblical “last days”. As I have mentioned many times, in previous posts, there are far more prophesies of Jesus Second Coming than there were of His first coming.

 

 

GOD IS THE ONLY SOURCE OF RIGHT & WRONG

The allegations of sexual misconduct 38 years ago by Judge Roy Moore, no doubt contributed to him loosing the Alabama Senate seat to the Democrat Doug Jones. However, what Judge Roy Moore practices and expounds now is exemplary. He believes, when we forget our relationship to God, we forget our relationship to the only source of right and wrong, and when you do that you will become an immoral society. People are not recognising this as a very important source of strength and security.”

Moore told World Net Daily the greatest threats are America’s domestic enemies: Marxists and Democratic leadership who are intent on expanding the role of the federal government and steering Americans away from belief in God.

The most important point Moore said he tries to convey to the American people, which the media misconstrues, is “the understanding of the relationship between God and our Constitution.”

In “So Help Me God,” Judge Roy Moore brilliantly argues that those who removed a Ten Commandments monument from his courthouse are the ones breaking the law by ordering him to violate his oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

“The hardest thing to relay to the media is the relevance of God to a prosperous country. If we don’t understand that, then we lose our country because we don’t understand that things like God-given rights are inalienable because they are not given by government – they are given by God. That means that government can’t take them from you. When we forget that, government will take your rights from you,” he said.

“When God gives rights, no government can take them from you. When you deny God, government certainly has an ability to take away your rights, and that’s the problem that we face today. We’ve been convinced that government give us our rights, the Constitution somehow gives it to us. The Constitution doesn’t give us our rights, it takes them from us.”

 

 

PREPARE FOR PERSECUTION AS YOU STAND ON THE AUTHORITY OF GOD’S WORD

Paul provides the model of how to behave in the dark days ahead and how to finish strongly. Jesus told us that in the “last days” the love of many will grow cold. There will be a great falling away in the church (Apostasy), even the elect deceived.

Note many friends will leave you as they did Paul, “Demas in love with this present world has deserted me.” If you are doing God’s will, many will harm you as they did Paul “Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm”. In fact, Paul says, “no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me.” BUT Paul also says, “the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the (GOSPEL) message might be fully proclaimed and all the gentiles might hear it. 

“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
Do your best to come to me soon. For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry. Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus. When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments. Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message. SPECIFICITY – THE MIRACLE OF THE INCARNATION

The God who created the universe became a helpless baby inside the universe He created…the Almighty become the weakest of beings … the hands that stretched out the heavens now too weak to even grasp the hand of His mother…the eyes that see all things now can barely focus…the mouth that spoke the universe into existence now can only offer up the cry of a helpless baby. How amazing is that? It is the miracle of love … the humility of love … and the miracle of specificity.”

SPECIFICITY?

“God is omnipresent, everywhere at once. But in the Incarnation, He becomes specific to time and space, to only one point of space and to only one moment of time. God is universal, the light of the world, the spring of all existence. Yet now He becomes specific to one culture, one people, one tribe, one house, one genealogy, one family, one life. The universal God of all existence becomes a Jewish baby, a Jewish boy, then a Jewish rabbi, walking in sandals on the ground and dust of first-century Judea.

Everything He does is now contained in one specific place and one specific moment of time. He forgives specific sinners, embraces specific outcasts, multiplies specific loaves of bread and touches specific people, heals them of their infirmities and raises them from the dead.”

“How does one apply that?” I asked.”

In order to know the power of God’s love, you have to receive it in its specificity, as specifically from Him and specifically to you. His sacrifice as specifically given for you, His Word specifically to your life, His blood and forgiveness poured out specifically for your specific sins.

And so too, you must live your life in God in specificity. Your love must manifest in specificity…in specific actions to the specific people who are here and now in your life…You must love and bless and live out your faith on earth …in specificity.”

Your mission is to manifest the love of God in specificity. Bless specific people with specific actions of love—specifically today.

CONFLICT BETWEEN ISRAEL AND IRAN INTENSIFIES

In the video below Joel Richardson provides an update on events unfolding in Saudi Arabia and how that affects the prophesied next Next Middle East Wars in Daniel 8. Probably, the next prophesied event on the last days calendar is Iran’s invasion (two horned ram in Daniel 8:20) north, west and south (“I watched the ram as he charged toward the west, and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him and none could rescue from his power. he did as he pleased and became great.” Daniel 8:4). Iran has already moved into Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and Israel is aware and reacting as this report from Arab Media acknowledges.

According to Arab media, Israel has increased the frequency of its military activity in Syria, specifically, to prevent Iran from gaining a permanent foothold in the country.

The Israel Air Force recently struck four Iranian facilities, including a well-publicized attack last month on an installation located in Al-Kiswah, just south of the Syrian capital where Tehran is believed to have been constructing a weapons depot.

Additionally, Israeli jets targeted sites in Hisya, near Homs, Jamariya, west of Damascus and Masyaf. The facilities are reportedly involved in military research, the production of surface-to-air missiles—which could threaten Israel’s air superiority—and function as personnel bases. The report says that Iran has started to build installations within civilian industrial areas, leading security experts to assume that Tehran is attempting to hide the existence of such centres in order to shelter them from attack.

The development is drawing parallels to Iran’s strategy in Lebanon, where its proxy the Hizbullah terrorist group has built offensive capabilities within towns and villages in proximity to the border with Israel. Jerusalem has repeatedly vowed to prevent Iran from establishing any military infrastructure in Syria, especially within the Golan Heights, which could be used to open up another front against Israel in a future conflict with Hizbullah.

Concern is growing that Tehran could be compelled to strongly retaliate should its Syrian assets continue to be targeted. (Medialine)

This is a very serious matter requiring ongoing intercession privately and in your prayer groups. Israel’s northern borders are endangered by numerous enemies. The strongest and potentially most dangerous are the Lebanon-based Hizbullah terrorist group—heavily backed by Iran—and Iran itself that is embedding its military resources in Syria. Iran has threatened numerous times to “wipe out Israel.”

CHANGE THE WORLD – POLITICS OR JESUS

Are Australian Christians committing the same sort of errors as our American brethren? Lacking the power of the Lordship of Christ many frustrated believers feel like they must do something to be useful to God in the midst of a dramatic decline of national righteousness. The power of the political sphere is the obvious avenue to bring change, even if Jesus’ Lordship operates in an exactly opposite way to the coercive power of legislation. I foresee the Australian Church losing one political battle after another, all the while being distracted away from her chief concern, the abiding life of Christ.

What disturbs me about “political Christians” is that their zeal for a cause often comes across as more intense than their passion for the Person of Jesus. Why is this?

We live in a day when everything is being politicised, and in the popular imagination politics stands for power. A recent example of this is when government registry offices were opened to gay people last week the agencies were all flying the rainbow flag of the LGBT movement.  So powerful has been the political success of this lobby that its core values have now become part of the identity of Australia as a nation. As with the earlier feminist-libertarian victory over abortion, we are now subject to “institutionalised lawlessness”

“And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt 24:12).

To think that politics shapes culture, rather than the reverse, is back to front. The de-Christianising of the West happened because densely networked anti-Christians took possession of the culture-making institutions of society, particularly higher education and the arts. Despite every good intention the average believer has no access to the more elite “clubs” from which social change is initiated. Unlike, for example, the wealthy, educated, aristocratic group that William Wilberforce drew together, few believers have influence in institutions that re-invent how people see reality. If there is no remedy for moral decline through the political process should we take more radical action?

There is another way forward for the re-discipling of our nations but it will require unprecedented humility (Matt 28:18-20).

Recently, 14 of Australia’s most senior Church leaders publicly appealed to the PM and Opposition leader to make good on their undertakings to uphold religious freedoms. This political act is as completely unsurprising as it is hypocritical. How often and how loudly have our spiritual leaders been speaking up, inside and outside the Church, for the cause of our persecuted brothers and sisters in other nations?  Why should a national Church which has so blatantly sinned against the Lord by failing to pray and advocate for our afflicted brothers and sisters (1 Sam 12:23) expect God to hear appeals for our rights? Do we secretly believe our long Christian history entitle us to some sort of preferential treatment? Perhaps in God’s good purposes we need to be oppressed in order to be revived (Hab 3:2)? Songs sometimes speak of a “near revival”, but is this actually imaginable? The answer is “Yes”, but not in the mode of power many selfish Christians are seeking.

When Hillsong and Sydney Anglicanism put their resources into the “No” campaign against SSM this signalled that political causes have the power to unite polarised Christian traditions. But contemporary Pentecostals and Evangelicals have lost touch with the source of real power. They have drifted far from their roots in great revival movements that transformed the character of Western Christianity.

It is idiocy to imagine that the Lord would send revival through the organised Church whilst it has its own elites and clubs who exercise political power inside the churches in a way that does not look like Christ crucified. Institutionalised Christianity can never defeat institutionalised evil.

Jesus said to the politically savvy Pilate, “my kingdom is not of this world” and went on to show the true  character of the divine rule, by death, resurrection and visiting people with the Spirit of repentance, joy and a radical change of lifestyle (John 18:36; Acts 2:37-47). The mass of comfortable middle class church leaders and their members do not really want to lose control of their life options. There is a market in peddling worldview programmes as a remedy to the spiritual decline of the West, but Jesus is not a set of mental images you can learn, cultivate and studiously apply. The power of the presence of the risen Christ cannot be contained in any wine skin, within or without Christianity. When we are broken enough to accept this and renounce any hope we have placed in politics perhaps the Lord will visit us with his mercy (Luke 1:78).

When the Australian Christian Lobby recently called on the “standing army” that had formed to oppose gay marriage to prepare for bigger battles ahead they reinforced the feeling amongst many Christians that something must be done to save Australia. Political engagement however is not the kingdom priority our nation needs if there is to be any remedy for lawlessness in the land. We need the powerful presence of the Jesus in his compassionate wisdom in all the culture making spheres where “Christianity” has been so soundly defeated (Eph 3:10). This does include politics, as well as education, the arts and other dimensions of culture. A Church compromised by political and other powers will never experience the limitless power of God that can change the world. We need to return to be seeking the Holy  Spirit power which took hold of our lawlessness and defeated at the cross and went on to raise Jesus in perfect righteousness (Rom 8:11; Heb 9:14). Only by abiding in the life of Christ can there be any transformation of our cultures. This is happened before, and can happen again, but only if we humbly submit to the final reality about divine power; “If Christ is not Lord of all, he is not Lord at all.” May God turn our hearts to Jesus before any other power.
