FAKE HISTORY IS FLOURISHING IN THE WEST: JUST CONSIDER THESE THREE CASES

Throughout the English-speaking world, elites are falling over themselves to believe the very worst of their own countries.

Let’s consider Canada. In May 2021 an Indian band in Kamloops, British Columbia claimed ground-penetrating radar had discovered “soil disturbances” that evidenced unmarked graves containing the remains of 215 “missing children” in land associated with an Indian Residential School.

The media quickly sexed up the story into one of “mass graves”, with all its connotation of murderous atrocity. On May 30 the Toronto Globe and Mail published an article under the title “The discovery of a mass gravesite at a former residential school in Kamloops is just the tip of the iceberg”. In it, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, professor of law at the University of British Columbia, wrote: “It is horrific. But it is not shocking. In fact, it is the opposite – a too-common unearthing of the legacy, and enduring reality, of colonialism in Canada.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ordered Canadian flags to be flown at half-mast on all federal buildings to honour the murdered children. Because the Kamloops school had been run by a Roman Catholic religious order, some zealous citizens took to burning and vandalising churches, 85 of them to date. The dreadful tale was eagerly broadcast worldwide by Al Jazeera.

Yet, more than three years later, not a single set of remains of a murdered Indian child in an unmarked grave has been found either in Kamloops or elsewhere in Canada. Indeed, not a single attempt to disinter an alleged grave has been made.

Prime ministers, archbishops, academics, editors and public broadcasters are all in the business of exaggerating the colonial sins of their own countries against noble (not-so-very) savages – from Vancouver to London to Sydney. Why?

Judging by the evidence collected by Chris Champion and Tom Flanagan in their best-selling book, Grave Error: How the Media Misled us (and the Truth about the Residential Schools), it looks increasingly probable that the Kamloops story, and the ones that followed it, are myths.

Meanwhile, in Britain, the Church of England has committed itself to pour an initial £100m ($198.4m) of its assets into an investment fund for “black-led” businesses around the world. This was made “to address … past wrongs” in response to the discovery that the Queen Anne’s Bounty, a forerunner of the church’s endowment, had “links” with African chattel enslavement.

A document entitled Healing, Repair and Justice explains. “The immense wealth accrued by the church … has always been interwoven with the history of African chattel enslavement,” it tells us. “African chattel enslavement was central to the growth of the British economy of the 18th and 19th centuries and the nation’s wealth thereafter … The cruelty of a multinational white establishment … has continuing toxic consequences resulting from the denial of equal access to healthcare, education, employment, justice, and capital.” Every one of these claims, however, is either dubious or false. The Queen Anne’s Bounty was hardly involved in the evil of slave trading at all. Most economic historians reckon the contribution of slave trading and slavery to Britain’s economic development as somewhere between marginal and modest.

Consonant with his church’s policy, then archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby preached a sermon in Christ Church Cathedral, Zanzibar on May 12, in which he criticised Christian missionaries for treating Africans as inferior and confessed that “we (British) must repent and look at what we did in Zanzibar”.

That is odd since what the British did in Zanzibar during the second half of the 19th century was to force the sultan to end the slave trade. Indeed, the cathedral in which the archbishop was preaching was built over the former slave market.

Australia’s equivalent is the extraordinary career of Bruce Pascoe’s Dark Emu. Published in 2014, this argues that Aboriginal people, far from being primitive nomads, developed the first egalitarian society, invented democratic government, eschewed “imperial warfare”, pioneered complex fishing technology, and were sophisticated agriculturalists. Such was the morally superior civilisation that white colonisers trashed in their greed, racist contempt, and relentless violence.

Dark Emu was named Book of the Year and received the Indigenous Writers’ Prize in the 2016 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. It has sold more than 360,000 copies and has been made the subject of an ABC documentary. And yet, while enthusiastically praised for challenging conventional views about Aboriginal culture and popularising the topic, it has been widely criticised for being factually untrue.

Why is it that prime ministers, archbishops, academics, editors, and public broadcasters are all in the business of telling lies about the history of their own countries that denigrate our forebears – from Vancouver to London to Sydney. As soon as you reject the true history of the world the Prince of this world plays havoc with the truth. A Biblical worldview is the only one that makes sense of it all. It even tells us how it will end with Jesus Christ’s return to restore righteousness.

CHILDREN WITHOUT HOPE

Just days before Christian students’ scheduled vacation to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a lonely and radicalized high school student opened fire inside Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, killing two people and wounding six more. Police say 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name “Samantha,” opened fire with a 9mm handgun during study hall before turning the gun on herself.

Founded in 1978, Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS) offers classes to students from kindergarten through the 12th grade “in a Christ-focused context,” according to the school’s website.

She opened fire in a room of students of mixed ages, killing one teenage student and one teacher. Six people were injured: one teacher and five students. Two of the victims were released from SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday. Two victims remain in critical condition.

Rebekah Smith, a fellow student’s mother, told The New York Times that she believed Rupnow had enrolled as a new student in the Christian school at the beginning of the year, hoping it would help her turn her life around.

A purported manifesto may offer insight into the mixture of toxic traits that sent the 15-year-old over the edge. It is obvious from reading it that being at a Christian school had no impact on her worldview. It was totally evolution-led and godless.

After speaking with Rupnow’s boyfriend, a reporter said she verified the authenticity of a six-page manifesto titled “War Against Humanity.” In it, Rupnow expresses her admiration for the Columbine High School shooters, as well as racial collectivist terrorist Patrick Crusius, and Brazilian school shooter Guilherme Taucci.

“Humanity is filth,” she wrote. “My parents are scum.” The document notes her parents divorced, although she claims it did not affect her. “I’ve grown to hate people, and society,” she wrote. “[A]ll of you and the world have done is pick on me and tease me.” Rupnow wrote of “getting teased and pushed around” at school, where “I always got picked on.”

“My so-called family never included me because I was too weird for them. … My father will always make me stand out in the worst possible way,” stated the manifesto. “I hate humanity for forcing me into this little hole.”

The manifesto expresses profound isolation, which observers believe she filled with harmful online content. “[M]y parents admit they didn’t want me. … I’m always the one who sat out or sat in another room because they didn’t want to interact with me at any point in time, then I stayed in my room all day long and all night and after and before school as well,” she wrote.

“I planned on shooting myself awhile ago but I thought maybe it’s [sic] better for evolution” to engage in a mass shooting. Rupnow engages in racially charged rhetoric, indicating another possible motive for her shooting. “The human scum is color, and how people are raised,” she wrote. She also used a racial epithet for black people.

“The Revolution should be well,” she said. “I am part of the real thought and the real revolution.” “We need revolution,” she insisted. “The wolf hunts its prey. … There is nothing more than filth,” the document concluded.

Despite being in a Christian school Rupnow had no concept of the Gospel or a loving God.

GOOD NEWS: PUBERTY BLOCKERS BANNED INDEFINITELY BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT

The British government indefinitely banned puberty blockers as a treatment for minors with gender dysphoria on Wednesday. After embracing gender transition procedures for minors before the U.S., European countries like the U.K. are now reversing course as evidence of the harm they could cause has mounted. “We need to act with caution and care when it comes to this vulnerable group of young people, and follow the expert advice,” declared Health Secretary Wes Streeting.

The U.K. temporarily paused puberty blockers for children in March 2023, following the release of the Cass report, a credible, detailed examination that found insufficient evidence that gender transition procedures were safe for children. The Commission on Human Medicines, an independent organization of the British government, also recently found “an unacceptable safety risk in the continued prescription of puberty blockers to children.”

The government, then controlled by the Conservative Party, further restricted access to puberty blockers with an emergency ban passed in June. The high court upheld that ban as lawful in July. In August, after an electoral victory, the left-leaning Labour Party extended the emergency ban in August. This move invested both of the U.K.’s major political parties in the newly cautious approach toward gender transition procedures for minors.

On Wednesday, the Labour government announced new legislation that would make the ban indefinite, to be reviewed in 2027. The ban would also take effect in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

GENETIC ENGINEERING: THE GOOD AND THE BAD

Genetic engineering is being widely used in the foods we eat, medicine, and healthcare.

What is genetic engineering? It is the deliberate changing of an organism’s DNA, and there are many beneficial uses of genetic engineering to improve human life.

Dr. Carter provides a balanced view of the current and potential beneficial uses of genetic engineering, including growing new limbs.

MEANING OF THE LETTERS TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES IN REVELATION PART 2

I hope you had a chance to view Nelson Walters’s video on the seven churches of Revelation. You will not only understand the purpose and meaning of the letters to the seven churches but you will understand how they complete the story revealed with the opening of the seven seals.

In the first post, I covered the first church Ephesus which faced deception with false prophets and Messiahs. After the deception of the First Year, the world is about to enter a most difficult time.

The Letter to Church at Smyrna, Smyrna means “myrrh or death.” The spice myrrh, which was primarily used for embalming, was the city’s main export. We know from the model we have been constructing for the 70th Week that the Second Year is a year of bloodshed, war, and chaos. Death is the main export of the Second Year.

THE ATTRIBUTES OF JESUS IN THE LETTER TO SMYRNA

Revelation has this to say about Jesus in the Letter to Smyrna: The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says this (Rev. 2:8) The statement “first and the last” is a paraphrase of Rev. 1:8 where Jesus claims to be the “alpha and the omega” (the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet). This phrase is highly encouraging to those about to suffer. Jesus created all things and will judge all things in the end; between the two events, he is in control of all things. Nothing will happen to Christians that he does not work for their ultimate good.

The second phrase (“has come to life”) is also encouraging. Jesus has conquered death. It is not what we should fear. Jesus said, “I say to you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear HimLuke 12:4-5. Those who have died to Jesus and live in Him have nothing to lose or to fear. We are already “dead” to the old self and to this world and its evil system. We are alive in Him. This should be the attitude of the saints facing the Second Year of the 70th Week as reflected in the attributes of Jesus in the letter to Smyrna.

CONDITION OF THE CHURCH IN THE SECOND YEAR

The condition of the Church in the Second Year is difficult, per the Letter to Smyrna: I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (Rev. 2:9)

We observed in the section about Ephesus that worship of the Antichrist’s god may be tied to economic prosperity. In this section, we notice that the Christians are economically poor. Unwillingness to compromise may have led to their poverty. We know from the model we are constructing of the 70th Week of Daniel, that there will be worldwide economic problems in year three.

In the previous section on Ephesus, we also saw a focus on Islam as the spiritual challenge for the Church. In Year Two, from Rev. 2:9 we see that apostate Judaism is added. We know from Daniel 9:27 that the Antichrist eliminates sacrifices and offerings at the midpoint of the 70th week. This obviously indicates that prior to that time, sacrifices and offerings were occurring. We know that “ it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Heb. 10:4). Only Jesus’s eternal blood sacrifice will take away sin. So when the Jews begin the practice of temple sacrifices again, it certainly is at the prompting of Satan to take their eyes off their Messiah.

God wants his Church to know these sacrifices are blasphemy. Jesus then gives the Church an encouragement: Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Although the Great Tribulation does not begin until the Fourth Year, the Church experiences tribulation from the Second Year on. In this passage, we are told that many of the faithful will be placed in prison or prison camps. The length of time the Church will have tribulation is curious: ten days. The Days of Awe are ten days from Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) until Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). These are days of repentance. Jewish tradition teaches that those who repent during the Days of Awe will be written into the Book of Life. The meaning of this time seems such a perfect match with the purpose of the imprisonment (“to be tested”). We have also seen a ten-day period in Daniel 1:12. It is the period of testing (note the similarities) when Daniel and his friends refused the Royal food and trusted God.

A major facet of the Second Year of the 70th Week that is not mentioned in the Letter to Smyrna is warfare. Why is that? The Letter to Smyrna is specifically for the Church, so it may be because Jesus has already instructed the Church in his Olivet Discourse to not be scared when the warfare begins: “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened” (Matt. 24:6). Jesus wants us to know that the wars of the Second Year are not wars that lead to the invasion of Israel and the eventual Abomination of Desolation.

APOSTATE AMERICAN CHURCH

Seth Gruber interviews Steve Dease about the current state of the church in the USA and what prompted him to produce his fictional film Nefarious, which is about the reality of demonic possession. Steve is committed to doing his utmost to get Christians to live out their Christian worldview totally trusting Jesus for the outcome.

Where was the American Church when America was descending into the progressive agenda? Steve Deace caught the cultural decline before most pastors did and stepped into the gap to educate Christians on how to stand in a culture of death. Deace and Gruber discuss the crumble of the Church and how Christians should respond to the modern Trump era.

MINOR PROPHETS ON THE END TIMES

Prophecy Roundtable with Doug Hamp and special guest Shelley Neese. I did not consider the minor prophets relevant apart from Joel and perhaps Micah, to end-times prophecies but that is not the case as you will see from this video. I often watch Doug Hamp, particularly for his insight into the Nephilim, and can recommend his series of books on Corrupting the Image: 1. Angels, Aliens and the Antichrist Revealed, 2. Hybrids, Hade and the Mt Hermon Connection, 3. Singularity, Superhumans, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

END TIMES BIBLE PROPHECIES PLAYING OUT IN OUR DAY

Jonathan Cahn shows us that everything is moving towards the Biblical end times prophecies playing out in our day. It is happening at an escalating rate. We are living in the prophesied time just before Jesus returns to Earth.

Generations of believers have wondered about the Book of Revelation, but are we in our generation actually seeing the signs of the approaching Apocalypse even now? Don’t miss as Jonathan Cahn continues to open up the Book of Revelation.

JONATHAN CAHN SHOWS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN BIBLICAL PROPHECIES AND MODERN DAY EVENTS

Another relevant sermon from Jonathan Cahn. God has uniquely graced Jonathan to draw connections between ancient Biblical prophecies and modern-day occurrences, particularly in global political shifts, religious movements, and the rise of anti-Judeo-Christian sentiment. Through a blend of biblical insights, historical references, and personal stories, he urges us to remain vigilant in our faith as end-time events unfold.

A GOOD NEWS STORY FROM COMMUNIST VIETNAM

More than 24,000 people filled the Cần Thơ Stadium in Vietnam last month to seek Jesus during the Season of Love Festival with Evangelist Franklin Graham. It was a major turnout of people hungry to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. “The Gospel transcends all languages and cultures,” Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), said. “We praise God for the hundreds of people whose hearts were moved, and they responded to the invitation to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior and follow Him as Lord of their lives!” Over 315 churches and pastors came together to plan and pray for the two-day outreach. As a result, 14,000 people participated on the first night and 10,000 stood in the pouring rain on the second night to hear powerful messages on salvation. Altogether, more than 1,200 made decisions for Christ. “Rain is a sign of God’s blessing in the Bible, and today we saw God pour out His blessings on Vietnam,” Graham shared on Facebook. “It was a privilege to see so many people respond to God’s invitation to receive Jesus Christ by faith tonight.”

According to the BGEA, opportunities to share the gospel in the communist nation are increasing. “We’re there to share the love of Christ,” said Festival Director Derek Forbes, adding that the government keeps giving them opportunities to host outreaches. “We really have been given a lot of freedom,” he said. The ministry held its first evangelistic outreach in the nation in 2017 for its Love Hanoi Festival and then completed the Spring Love Festival in Ho Chi Minh City last year.  They set up the outreach in the Mekong River Delta, Cần Thơ, due to its 13 sprawling provinces full of rice fields and rural farmland. “It makes it a bit different environment than last year in Ho Chi Minh,” Forbes continued. “There are churches, but they are smaller and fewer in number.” BGEA explains that despite the difficulties, residents of mainly Buddhist or atheist background joined in to hear worship led by Charity Gayle, The Afters, and Vietnamese artists, and listened to a Gospel message from Graham.

“I asked them if their souls were safe and secure in the hands of Almighty God. There are not many roads to God. There is only one road—and that’s through the cross of Jesus Christ,” Graham recalled telling the crowd. One 60-year-old named Nguyen told the ministry that although she had heard of Jesus, she avoided Him. “Ever since I was a teenager, I avoided making a decision to follow Jesus because Buddhism was familiar,” she said. But she said Graham’s message during the outreach gave her a “newfound hope.” “I heard every word Franklin Graham said. I listened very carefully when he said if I seek God, I will find Him,” she told BGEA. “I want to trust Jesus as my Savior, and I want to follow Jesus as my Lord.” Nguyen is like thousands of others who put their faith in Christ. “We praise God for the way He moved and the lives that have been changed for eternity,” BGEA shared on X. Meanwhile, Graham is asking Christians around the world to pray for the new believers in Vietnam and for all of the churches here that are now coming alongside them in their walk with Christ?”
