THE FRENCH CATHOLIC CHURCH TO BAPTISE OVER 10K ON EASTER, A 45% INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR

France’s Roman Catholic Church is scheduled to baptize more than 10,000 adults on Easter Sunday, the highest number of new members reported in over 20 years.

The Catholic Church in France recently reported that 10,384 adults will be baptized on Easter night, along with approximately 7,400 individuals aged 11 to 17.

This marks a 45% increase in adult catechumens compared to last year, and is the largest reported number since 2002, when the Catholic Church created the annual survey.

The restored Notre Dame Cathedral lit up at night. The restoration of the cathedral involved more than $888 million (€846 million) being donated by approximately 340,000 supporters from around 150 countries.

The report also noted an apparent rise in “the growing, and now majority, proportion of young people among all catechumens.”

“Among newly baptized adults, the 18-25-year-old group, made up of students and ‘young professionals,’ now represents 42% of catechumens, and has therefore surpassed the 26-40-year-old group,” stated the report, as rendered by Google translate.

“The number of adolescent catechumens has increased sharply again this year. We are seeing a 33% increase in the dioceses for which we have figures for the two consecutive years of 2024 and 2025.”

Last month, the French Catholic weekly Famille Chrétienne reported an apparent surge in attendance for Ash Wednesday services at the start of Lent, which is the liturgical calendar season before Easter.

“We shattered attendance records,” said Father Benoist de Sinety, parish priest of St. Eubert Church in Lille, in comments given to Famille Chrétienne.

“Across the three Masses we offered, we had larger congregations than ever before. Nearly a thousand faithful gathered at Saint-Maurice Church in the evening — many of them young people attending for the first time.”

France has had a long, complicated history with Catholicism. For centuries, it was a bulwark of the Church, providing large numbers of soldiers for the Crusades and constructing many notable churches.

However, beginning with the violent secularism of the French Revolution in 1789, the nation has also made the occasional effort to limit Catholic influence on politics and society.

Last December, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris reopened after more than five years of closure due to a severe fire in April 2019 that destroyed much of the interior. Many public officials and world leaders attended the opening, with French President Emmanuel Macron championing efforts to have the national symbol rebuilt in five years.

“You have transformed ashes into art,” Macron told those present for a tour of the completed cathedral last November. “The blaze at Notre Dame was a national wound, and you have been its remedy through will, through work, through commitment.”

END OF YEAR PROPHETIC ROUND-UP 2024

The world cannot see it but the choice is clear. It is repent or perish, revival or ruin, Christ or chaos.

AGAIN POPE FRANCIS PROCLAIMS A FALSE GOSPEL

Pope Francis has never shied away from provocative statements or launching in new directions. But this time he seems to have gone all the way. Pope Francis recently proclaimed “a different gospel” (Galatians 1:6).

During a three-day visit to Singapore, Pope Francis declared that “all religions are a path to God.” He boldly proclaimed, “There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Some are Sheik, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths (to God).”

Someone in the Secretariat of State thought that remark needed a little massage, though, so the official Vatican translation added a verb and something that is either a participle or a gerundive, depending on how you diagram the sentence: “All religions are seen as paths trying to reach God.”

After a day or so of online invective and—presumably—more than a little back-and-forth within the Comms apparatus, a new translation appeared: “All religions are paths to God.”

If Francis and the official Vatican are correct, then Jesus was wrong when He stated,

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me” John 14:6

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16

Jesus did not die on the cross to provide “one more way” of getting to God. He died for our sins because it was the only way we could be reconciled to our Father in Heaven.

“God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them” 2 Corinthians 5:19

It is only through Christ that anyone can be reconciled to the Father. There simply is no other way, period.

“If righteousness could be gained through the Law, Christ died for nothing” Galatians 2:21

In other words, if a person could get to God without Christ, the Father would never have sent His only Son to suffer the agony of crucifixion for our salvation.

Pope Francis proclaimed a counterfeit gospel in Singapore. It is “another gospel.” (Galatians 1:8) The pope’s teaching smacks of Universalism rather than Christianity. This false teaching completely contradicts the wisdom of the Gospel and the truth of Scripture and reveals that the Catholic church is an apostate church with most of the other denominational churches. Jesus said this would be a major end-times sign indicating His return is near.

Pope Francis sounded more like a politician than a prophet in Singapore. If you attempt to reduce Christianity to the level of every other religion, you strip it of its core tenets. There is only One God, and He is triune. And there is only one Gospel, and “it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).

The world wants Christians to embrace the false gospel that Pope Francis unashamedly presented as truth. The big question is could Pope Francis be the Biblical prophesied end times False Prophet?

PROPHESIED END TIMES CHURCH

This week, nearly two million people attended a mass celebrated by Pope Francis in Portugal on the occasion of World Youth Day. A couple of days before that, 200,000 people attended a religious celebration at Fatima, the site of an appearance in 1917 to three children of the Virgin Mary. It’s also been a site of miraculous cures ever since. That’s some pulling power.

The striking thing about these giant congregations is that they were overwhelmingly young people. Francis can thank the greatest of the modern popes, John Paul II, who founded WYD in the mid-1980s.

WYD is a key experience for millions of young people and typically leads to spikes in religious vocations and spiritual life generally. However, even this astounding good moment is mired in the strangest contemporary confusion.

Portuguese bishop Americo Aguiar, who has just been elevated to the rank of cardinal by the Pope, assured the world: “We don’t want to convert the young people to Christ or the Catholic Church or anything like that.”

Say what? If a bishop doesn’t want to convert people to Christ, surely he’s in the wrong line of work. Why not become a game show host or a diversity officer at a university? Good callings but, unlike bishoping, they don’t require you to preach Christ.

Bishop Aguiar said the main purpose of WYD was to celebrate diversity so all young people could walk happily together. This is almost literally insane. Of course, diversity’s a good thing. But it’s not the only thing or the main thing. It would be like a cancer hospital declaring it was no longer interested in actually treating cancer but would instead focus on celebrating the wide range of people who came along.

Jesus told us that in the last days before He returns to restore righteousness that much of the church will compromise with the world, that there would be apostasy, a great falling away, and even worse.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:9-13

IS THIS THE CHURCH GOD INTENDED?

The catholic church like most institutional churches is not the church God intended, as described in the Book of Acts. It is very different, there were no buildings and no paid clergy. In fact, all members of the church were to be disciples that made disciples.

Look at what is unfolding in the catholic church. It involves the recently deceased Australian Cardinal Pell who incidentally I respected for what he tried to achieve when he was Archbishop of Sydney.

Cardinal George Pell has ripped into Pope Francis from the grave, with an explosive secret memo scathing of his “catastrophic” papacy, detailing that the Vatican is losing as much as 35 million euros a year and that the Pope has used his power to interfere in judicial proceedings.

Cardinal Pell not only penned a column directly challenging Francis’ credibility about the process surrounding the adoption of the Catholic Church’s synod for The Spectator magazine, but he is also now revealed to be the author of a hard-hitting series of blogs to Vatican insiders and a bombshell secret letter that was distributed last March to cardinals.

The previously anonymous cardinals’ letter ridicules Francis’ tenure as being “a disaster”, “a catastrophe” in which “decisions (were) made for political correctness” and claiming the political influence of Pope Francis and the Vatican was“negligible”.

It also alleges a widespread practice of wire-tapping inside the Vatican and claims that the extent of losses on an infamous corrupt investment, the Sloane Avenue building in London, is as much as 217 million euros.

He said this was in addition to the $230 million lost by the Vatican in the Banco Ambrosiano scandal in the 1980s, and because of inefficiency and corruption, he said the Vatican has lost at least another 100 million euros in the last 25-30 years.

As well, he warned the Vatican finances were “serious” with financial deficits almost always every year of at least 20m euros which has escalated in the last three years to 30-35 million euros a year. In addition, the Vatican faces a large pension fund deficit that is projected to be around 800 million euros in 2030.

On the eve of the funeral, it emerged that Cardinal Pell, 81 was a secret contributor to the Vatican blog Settimo Cielo as well as the author of the cardinals’ letter. The Vatican journalist Sandro Magister had regular dialogue with Cardinal Pell, whom he said used the pseudonym “Demos” for the blog and had asked for him to distribute the cardinal’s letter, which he wanted to become public.

The Australian Newspaper has seen the contributions made by Demos, which say the centrality of Christ in teaching is weakened and Christ is removed from the centre. He also details the extent of the Vatican’s financial woes, which are much worse than many believed.

“Commentators from every school, though for different reasons, with the possible exception of one, agree that this pontificate is a disaster in many or more respects, a catastrophe,’’ he wrote.

“Previously the motto was: “Roma locuta. Cause finite est” [Rome has spoken, the cause is over]. Today it is: “Roma loquitur. Confusio augetur” [Rome speaks, confusion grows]’’.

He added that the Christocentric legacy of St. John Paul II in faith and morals is the object of systematic attacks.

In a blow to Francis’ papacy, “Demos” wrote that the political influence of Pope Francis and the Vatican is negligible. “Intellectually, papal writings show a decline from the levels of St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict. Decisions and policies are often “politically correct”, but there have been serious failures to uphold human rights in Venezuela, Hong Kong, mainland China and now the Russian invasion.

The Bible tells us that in the last days, there will be a great falling away as the church compromises with the world. We have seen it with many of the denominational churches approving gay marriage, homosexual pastors, and Jesus is no longer central to Christianity. They no longer believe and teach the following Scripture.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Now it is being revealed that the catholic church is going down the same path as these other institutional churches.

“This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come” 2 Timothy 3:1

“Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,” 2 Thessalonians 2:3

This Pauline perspective and prophecy of apostasy in the last days is not merely Paul’s, for it had been foretold by the Holy Spirit. 

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith…” 2 Timothy. 4:1-3

THE MAJORITY OF CATHOLICS AND MAINLINE PROTESTANTS WILL ENDURE GOD’S WRATH

More than three years after Pope Francis sparked a firestorm of religious debate by telling a young boy that his deceased atheist father might still end up in Heaven, a new study from the Pew Research Center shows a majority of Catholic and mainline Christians also believe people who don’t believe in God will go to Heaven.

Did not Jesus say, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36

What are the Christian leaders in these denominations teaching their congregations? What did Jesus accomplish on The Cross on our behalf? Does it account for nothing? And yet we know that without Jesus’ sacrifice our Heavenly Father could not have sent the Holy Spirit to indwell believers to sanctify us and enable us to live the Christian life.

Data for the Pew Research Centre study, conducted Sept. 20-26, was collected from a nationally representative sample of 6,485 U.S. adults.

Pew researchers decided for the first time to tackle deep philosophical questions like the meaning of life, the purpose of suffering, and why bad things happen to people. The national study was released amid a backdrop of major life-changing events for many, most notably the coronavirus pandemic which has claimed millions of lives globally.

In discussing American views on the afterlife, the study showed that majorities of U.S. adults believe in both Heaven and Hell, but significantly more believe in Heaven. Some 73% of respondents reported belief in Heaven, while 62% of respondents reported belief in Hell.

When it comes to Christians as a group, the study showed that the overwhelming majority of all Christian groups supported belief in Heaven. Protestants from historically black and evangelical churches were more likely than mainline Protestant Christians or Catholics to express belief in Hell.

And while 39% of all American adults, in general, believe people who don’t believe in God can still go to Heaven, 68% of Catholics and 56% of mainline Protestant Christians were found to hold this belief compared to 21% of evangelicals and 31% of Christians from historically black churches.

POPE HAS NO UNDERSTANDING OF ISRAEL’S GLORIOUS FUTURE

The Pope is like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ day. Despite the 300 prophecies of Jesus first coming they could not make the connection that Jesus was their long-awaited Messiah. Likewise, despite there being 1800 O.T. and at least 200 N.T. prophecies of Jesus’ second coming to rescue Israel and establish His Millennial reign from a new Jerusalem, the Pope sides with Abbas pushing for a two-state solution. Moreover, he obviously has no concern for the Palestinian Christians.

“And the Lord has declared today that you are a people for His treasured possession, as He has promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments, and that He will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that He has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the Lord your God, as He promised.” Deuteronomy 26:18-19

Since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority in 1994, the Palestinian Christian community under PA jurisdiction has dwindled. Palestinian Christians complain of Muslim land theft, harassment of Christian women, Christian businesses being forced to pay protection money and discriminatory taxes, and frequent robberies and vandalization of churches. Christians also face kidnapping and forced conversions. They also accuse the PA justice system of providing no legal recourse.

Pope Sides With Abbas Over Israel, Pushes for Palestinian State

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas visited the Vatican on Thursday where he had a private audience with Pope Francis.

A Vatican press release described the talks as “cordial” and called for renewed peace talks towards a two-state solution.

“With regard to the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, it was stressed that it is absolutely necessary to reactivate direct dialogue in order to achieve a two-state solution, also with the help of more vigorous effort on the part of the international community,” the statement said.

“Lastly, it was reiterated that Jerusalem must be recognised by all as a place of encounter and not of conflict and that its status must preserve its identity and universal value as a Holy City for all three Abrahamic religions, also through a special internationally guaranteed status,” it added.

The Vatican recognized “The State of Palestine” in 2013. Later that year, Abbas made waves during a Christmas message when he insisted that Jesus was a Palestinian. While Israel criticized Abbas’ remarks, church officials were strangely silent.

DOES JESUS BRING UNITY OR DIVISION?

ALARMING EVIDENCE OF THE APOSTATE LAST DAYS CHURCH

What is unfolding is almost beyond belief but it further supports the thesis that Pope Francis is the prophesied False Prophet of Revelation.

Pope Francis is finalising a deal that could legitimise the most genocidal ideology in modern history. It elevates the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as a religious authority over millions of Chinese. It violates core Christian principles that sustain the free world. It renders millions of Chinese vulnerable to state persecution.

In March, the Vatican will recognise the Communist Party as a spiritual authority with the power to appoint bishops. The idea is controversial, as The Australian has been reporting over the past few weeks. The accord will reverse decades of Vatican resistance to communism. It will give the Chinese state power over church leadership.

For many years, the CCP has been frustrated by Christians including Catholics who refuse to worship the gods of the red state: Marx, Lenin and Mao. Underground churches have developed in Christians’ homes where they defend the vital separation of church and state by resisting the communist bible and its politically correct, false Christ. Many believe these Christians, loyal to Christ’s teaching, are being led like lambs to the slaughter by the Vatican’s deal with the communist state.

Pew Research estimates that by 2030, China’s Christian population of 70 million would grow to between 250 million and 300 million. If the forecasts prove accurate, China will soon overtake the US as the most populous Christian country.

The CCP response to the Christian renaissance is to crack down on the Christians over which it has no control, the House Church Movement, even to demolishing buildings and removing crosses from buildings. The party is rattled. It is desperate to revive belief in the dead faith of communism by cracking down on spiritual rivals.

President Xi Jinping has instructed CCP cadres to be “unyielding Marxist atheists”. The Global Times reported Wang Zuoan, director of the state administration for religious affairs, warning CCP cadres to be “firm Marxist atheists, obey party rules and stick to the party’s faith”.

If Pope Francis recognises the tyrannical regime as legitimate, it will surrender Catholic spiritual authority to communism. It will be a realisation of Hegel’s totalitarian dictum: “the state is God on earth”. By contrast, Christ’s teaching provides for the limited state, which is a bulwark against totalitarianism. On the separation of church and state, Christ said: “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s: and to God, the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21).

The most publicised opposition to the coming Vatican-communist accord was issued by Chinese cardinal Joseph Zen. He warned the pact was a blessing for a communist-ruled church. Its true effect will be to validate a corrupt system of state-governed religion and empower the persecution of Christians in underground churches who reject it. He believes the Vatican is selling out the Catholic Church in China.

Pope Francis, long rumoured to be a darling of the socialist cause, is closely associated with men schooled in liberation theology. In general terms, liberation theology combines revolutionary socialism with selected Christian teachings on poverty. South American priests led the ideological charge by joining Marxist revolutionary movements and appropriating Christ for the cause.

Concerns about growing Marxist influence on Vatican thought mounted earlier this month after Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, head of the Pontifical Academy of Social Science, said China was the best example of a Catholic society. Sorondo said the communist state had a “positive national conscience” and praised it for “best implementing the social doctrine of the church”.

“Division is the work of the ‘Father of Lies,’ ‘the Father of Discord,’ who does everything possible to keep us divided,” Pope Francis said in a video message to a gathering sponsored by the John 17 Movement, according to Catholic Herald.

“I feel like saying something that may sound controversial, or even heretical, perhaps,” he added. “But there is someone who ‘knows’ that, despite our differences, we are one. It is he who is persecuting us. It is he who is persecuting Christians today, he who is anointing us with (the blood of) martyrdom.”

Francis added that the devil “knows that Christians are disciples of Christ, that they are one, that they are brothers! He doesn’t care if they are Evangelicals or Orthodox, Lutherans, Catholics or Apostolic … he doesn’t care! They are Christians.”

The Roman Catholic Church leader insisted that “division is a wound in the body of the church of Christ. And we do not want this wound to remain open,” he said, urging for Christians to seek unity together and pray for one another.

The video was shared with the John 17 Movement in Phoenix, inspired by the passage in the Bible in which Jesus prays for the unity of his disciples.

The movement says on its official website that its vision is for Christians to respond to the final prayer of Jesus.

“On the eve of His death, He pleaded: “Father, may all who believe in me be one so the world will know you sent me.” This final plea stands as the most authoritative strategic direction for followers of Jesus,” the movement says.
