TURKEY INTENT ON REESTBLISHING ITS OTTOMAN EMPIRE

Turkey just delivered a major blow to Russia, putting Putin in a tight spot over Crimea and shifting the balance in the Black Sea region. Erdogan’s recent call for Crimea’s return to Ukraine is a strategic move, one Putin didn’t see coming. This isn’t just about land—control of Crimea is crucial for dominance in the Black Sea. With a long history of rivalry and Erdogan’s assertive neo-Ottoman vision, Turkey is challenging Russia like never before. Will Erdogan’s power play pay off?

A significant Biblical end-times prophecy is that Turkey (the Goat of Daniel 8) will be successful in re-establishing a revived Ottoman Empire but only for a short period and then it will be broken into four nations. My guess is that it will be the United Nations that will not countenance a revived Ottoman Empire that they do not control so it breaks it up into four nations.

“Then the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.
Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land.” Daniel 8:8-9

Before the above, we are yet to see in Biblical prophecy Turkey (Sunni) putting down Iran (Shia, the Ram of Daniel 8). Iran is already doing what Biblical prophecy says it will do push westward, northward, and southward with its proxies Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, and groups Iraq, Syria, and Bahrain. So next in Biblical prophecy is Turkey exerting its dominance in the Muslim world by putting down Iran.

“I saw the ram (Iran) charging westward and northward and southward. No beast could stand before him, and there was no one who could rescue from his power.” Daniel 8:4

“And the goat (Turkey) had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. He came to the ram (Iran) with the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the canal, and he ran at him in his powerful wrath… And the ram had no power to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled on him.“ Daniel 8: 5-7

It is out of one of these four nations that the little Horn (Antichrist) arises. “Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land.” Daniel 8:9

We can use these prophecies to evangelize (apocalyptic evangelism). God has revealed these future events so that we know He is in control but also to use this information to bring others to a knowledge of Him and the truth.

IRAN THREATENS TO TURN THE WORLD INTO A GRAVEYARD

Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), predicted that Israel would soon fall and Iran will use the impending “world war” as a “graveyard” for the policies of the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and their allies.

According to a report by MEMRI, Salami, in a speech that was broadcast on Ofogh TV (Iran) on Nov. 27, said, “Rest assured that we will witness the collapse of the Zionist regime, but we will never witness any serious damage to our revolution.”

He added, “Our enemies—America, England, Israel, and the regime of the Saud clan—have left their dens and are overtly meddling in the domestic affairs of this country. We are determined to confront them.”

“The Quran instructs us…, ‘do not take the Jews and the Christians as your allies,’” said Revolutionary Guards head Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami.

Biblical end-times prophecy tells us that Iran (Ram) would charge westward and northward and southward and we are already seeing Iran do that with its proxies in Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, the Palestinian Territories, Syria, and Yemen.

“I was in Susa the citadel, which is in the province of Elam (Iran). And I saw in the vision, and I was at the Ulai canal. I raised my eyes and saw, and behold, a ram standing on the bank of the canal. It had two horns (Ayatollah and IRGC), and both horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last. I saw the ram charging westward and northward and southward. No beast could stand before him, and there was no one who could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.” Daniel 8:2-4

However, we also know from Biblical prophecy that Iran’s efforts to become the dominant Muslim nation in the Middle East are short-lived as Turkey (Goat) defeats Iran and attempts to re-establish its former Ottoman Empire. It must be remembered that Turkey is Sunni and Iran is Shia. Intolerance between the two often leads to violence. Also, Sunnis represent almost 90% of all Muslims.

“And the goat (Turkey) had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. He came to the ram (Iran) with the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the canal, and he ran at him in his powerful wrath. I saw him come close to the ram, and he was enraged against him and struck the ram and broke his two horns. And the ram had no power to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled on him. And there was no one who could rescue the ram from his power. Then the goat became exceedingly great (revived Ottoman Empire),” Daniel 8:5-8

Biblical prophecy then reveals that Turkey’s revived Ottoman empire is broken up into four possibly by the U.N., who would not want to see a revived Ottoman Empire established. We then see that out of one of these nations the Antichrist (Little Horn) arises.

“but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven. Out of one of them came a little horn (Antichrist), which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them. It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host … As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation, but not with his power. And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise. His power shall be great—but not by his own power, and he shall cause fearful destruction and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints.” Daniel 8:8-11,22-24

Iran has “six armies outside its borders that work for it,” a senior Iranian general said in an interview to the Iranian Mehr Agency earlier this week, leading the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement to issue a statement correcting his comments, Arab media reported.

Iranian Maj.-Gen. Gholam Ali Rashid, a prominent commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), said that Qasem Soleimani, who led the IRGC up until his assasination by U.S. forces in January last year, had established six organized militias operating outside of Iran’s borders.

According to Rashid, these include Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthi movement in Yemen, Hashd al-Sha’bi in Iraq, Iranian militias in Syria, as well, Iran has inserted itself “into the Syrian army’s nervous system – its chain of command – and into the everyday lives of the local population,” Israeli commentator Ehud Yaari said. Finally, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and Hamas in Gaza.

“Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation, for it refers to the appointed time of the end. As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia (now Iran)…” Daniel 8:20

We need to watch for the next part of Daniel 8’s prophecy to be fulfilled. Sunni Turkey (Goat) will not tolerate Shia Iran claiming leadership of the Muslim middle east. Turkey (previously controlled the powerful Ottoman Empire) considers itself the leader of the Muslim world. Daniel’s prophecy predicts Turkey defeating Iran in what is described as a savage encounter but then we are told Turkey’s bid to re-establish a neo Ottoman Empire is short lived. We are not told who comes against Turkey, possibly a coalition of western nations that do not want to see a revived Ottoman Empire. Russia for one would not want to see a revived Ottoman Empire challenge its dominance in the region. We are told that it is broken up into four nations/kingdoms and it is out of these that the Little Horn (Antichrist) emerges.

I saw him approaching the ram, and infuriated with him, he struck the ram, shattering his two horns, and the ram was not strong enough to stand against him... Then the male goat became very great, but when he became powerful, the large horn was shattered. Four conspicuous horns came up in its place, pointing toward the four winds of heaven.” Daniel 8:6-8

The Antichrist (little horn) arrives on the scene and is allowed to dominate the world for an allotted time, three and half years.

“From one of them a little horn emerged and grew extensively toward the south and the east and toward the beautiful land. It grew as high as the heavenly host, made some of the stars and some of the host fall to the earth, and trampled them. It made itself great, even up to the Prince of the host; it removed His daily sacrifice and overthrew the place of His sanctuary. Because of rebellion, a host, together with the daily sacrifice, will be given over. The horn will throw truth to the ground and will be successful in whatever it does.” Daniel 8:9-12

Ezekiel 38 also links the Antichrist (Gog) to modern Turkey (and/or its immediately surrounding vicinity). Ezekiel singles out all Islamic nations in the Middle East and North Africa as comprising the vanguard of Gog’s invasion force during the Great Tribulation.

IRAN – THE RAM OF DANIEL 8

The prophecy in Daniel 8 is unfolding in our day as Iran’s proxies are “charging westward and northward and southward.

Between 1995 and 2020, four administrations – Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump –sanctioned 10 Iranian proxy groups in five countries. They also sanctioned 86 leaders* from 13 groups supported by Tehran.

Between 2017 and 2020, the Trump administration designated six of these terrorist groups all tied to Iran. One of President Trump’s top foreign policy goals was to limit Tehran’s regional influence and support for militant groups across the Middle East. “From Lebanon to Iraq to Yemen, Iran funds, arms, and trains terrorists, militias, and other extremist groups that spread destruction and chaos across the region,” he said in May 2017. “For decades, Iran has fueled the fires of sectarian conflict and terror.”

Bible prophecy reveals that what comes next is Turkey, Sunni (Goat of Daniel 8) intent on reviving its past Ottoman Empire crushes Iran, Shia and for a period dominates the middle east.

“Then the goat (Turkey) became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.” Daniel 8:8

As also revealed in this verse, Daniel next sees the revived Ottoman Empire is broken up into four by whom we can only speculate, perhaps the leader dies or the United Nations or even Russia are possible candidates.

“Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land… It grew great, even to the host of heaven.” Daniel 8:10-11

The above verse reveals that it is out of one of these four nations that the Antichrist will arise.

Daniel is given an interpretation of this vison of the goat and ram in Daniel 8:18-27 and is told to seal it up as it refers to last days events.

“Now while he was talking with me, I sank into a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me and made me stand upright. He said, “Behold, I am going to let you know what will occur at the final period of the indignation, for it pertains to the appointed time of the end.” Daniel 8:18-19

“The ram which you saw with the two horns represents the kings of Media and Persia. The shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Yavan, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king.” Daniel 8:20-21

BIBLE PROPHECY UNFOLDING IN OUR DAY

Biblical Elam/Persia was where modern-day Iran is currently located. This is important in end times prophecy. In the video below, Nelson explains Daniel 8 and the end times significance of Iran. THE GOAT OF DANIEL 8 WILL EVENTUALLY ATTACK THE RAM

If you have not read my previous post ” The Ram of Daniel 8 is pushing West, North and South” posted on the 7th of September then can I suggest you do so before watching this ominous video featuring President Erdogan of Turkey.

As I explained in the previous post, we are already seeing what is prophesied in Daniel 8 about the ram (Iran) pushing West, North, and South. It is already underway and probably will continue, however, the prophecy below from Daniel 8 indicates that Iran’s aspirations to become the dominant Muslim force in the Middle East is short-lived. It should be remembered that Iran is Shia, approximately 10% of Muslims whereas Turkey is Sunni the dominant group of approximately 90%.

“As I was considering, behold, a male goat (Turkey) came from the west across the face of the whole earth, without touching the ground. And the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. He came to the ram (Iran) with the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the canal, and he ran at him in his powerful wrath. I saw him come close to the ram, and he was enraged against him and struck the ram and broke his two horns. And the ram had no power to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled on him. And there was no one who could rescue the ram from his power. THE RAM OF DANIEL 8 IS PUSHING WEST, NORTH AND SOUTH

One day after the United Nations Security Council voted in favor of lifting the arms embargo on Iran, the ruling mullahs unveiled a ballistic missile that reportedly can reach the United States.

Iran: ‘American soil is now within the range of Iranian bombs’

The headline of a report by Iran’s state-controlled Afkar News read in Farsi, “American Soil Is Now Within the Range of Iranian Bombs.” The report boasted about the damage that the Iranian regime could inflict on the U.S. By sending a military satellite into space, Iran now has shown that it can target all American territory; the Iranian parliament had previously warned [the U.S.] that an electromagnetic nuclear attack on the United States would likely kill 90 percent of Americans. The same type of ballistic missile technology used to launch the satellite could carry nuclear, chemical or even biological weapons to wipe Israel off the map, hit US bases and allies in the region and US facilities, and target NATO even in the far west of Europe.

For Iran’s ruling mullahs, compromises and appeasement means weakness. The more the international community gives the mullahs, the more the regime apparently feels empowered to pursue its malign behavior.

Iran is, according to the U.S. Department of State, “the world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism.”

End Times Biblical prophecy in Daniel 8 tells us that one of the major wars in the last days before the Antichrist appears on the world stage will be Iran (Ram of Daniel 8) will push west, north and south and this we see happening right now.

“I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no beasts could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.” Daniel 8:4

 IRAQ: When the post-Saddam Iraq held the country’s first free elections in 2005, Shia parties, most of which had had long-standing relations with Iran, rose to power. Ever since, Iran’s influence in Iraq has only grown — first as a counter-force to the American occupation and then as a security provider to the Iraqi government.

LEBANON & SYRIA: Iran funded Hezbollah controls Lebanon and the deployment of Hezbollah foot-soldiers in Syria is ominous.

ISRAEL: Increasing attacks by the Iranian-funded Hamas into southern Israel.

YEMEN: Iran controlled Houthi are even launching rockets at civilian targets,

With billions of dollars of revenue pouring into the pockets of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), they are becoming more empowered and emboldened to pursue their revolutionary ideals of anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism and to become the leader of the Muslim nations in the Middle East.

Iran’s dominance in the Middle East will be short lived. Daniel 8 tells us what comes next. I will reveal that in a future post or better still you can go to Daniel 8 and check it out for yourself.

SUNNI-SHIA WAR NEXT PROPHETIC EVENT

The Great Sunni-Shia War (Daniel 8 Ram) will probably be the next prophetic event to take place. As such it will be an amazing opportunity to show an unbelieving world the truth of God’s Word and to present the good news of the Gospel of Christ. The article, with the title “Mideast’s worst case: A ‘big war’ pitting Shia Muslims against Sunni,” shows that secular commentators are realizing what could potentially happen in the Middle East – a great Sunni-Shia War.

Hiwa Osman, an Iraqi Kurdish commentator, was even more blunt: “The whole region is braced for the big war, the war that has not yet happened, the Shiite-Sunni war.”

Up to now, two things drew Iran’s IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) to conquer and occupy the UAE. They were (1) its great oil production and reserves, comprising part of the one-fourth of world oil production that could be taken out by the IRGC, and (2) it is a relatively weak Muslim nation that would not stand in the way of the IRGC bringing its 1979 Shia Revolution to that nation. 

We now have a third reason for the IRGC to invade and occupy the UAE. And the reason was uttered recently by the man controlling one of the two powers (horns) of the Ram, that is, the supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Tuesday September 1st, as he spoke to the heads of education in Iran, he said,

“The UAE betrayed the world of Islam, Arab nations, regional countries and Palestine itself. Of course, this betrayal will not last long, but the stain of this infamy will remain on them forever.” [emphasis added]

First, the UAE is accused of betraying Islam and all the Arab nations. Since the UAE (a Muslim nation!) is fraternizing with what the IRGC names as the Little Satan (the USA being the Great Satan), the UAE must be invaded so the Revolution can cleanse whatever is going on in the UAE. It was already a rather “backslidden” Sunni nation, but now it is becoming a squeakier wheel.

Second is the use of the phrase, “of course.” Of course, it is obvious that the UAE must be dealt with. Of course we, the Iranian regime comprising the two horns of the ram—will run out and take care of the UAE when we take care of the entire Muslim Middle East! Of course the Second Signpost is coming.

Third, apparently the UAE’s transgressions will not last long. What does this mean? The world would take this as just another “idle” threat from the supreme leader. Of course, to the student of the Signposts, it may very well mean the Second Signpost is not very far away.

DANIEL 8: RAM (IRAN) PUSHING WESTWARD AND SOUTHWARD

Report from World Israel News WIN confirms Iran “pushing westward and southward exactly as prophesied in Daniel 8.

According to the London-based Arabic daily Asharq Al-Awsat, Israel struck two Iranian military sites this month in Iraq. The report, citing Western diplomatic sources, said Israeli stealth F-35 jets hit an Iranian rocket depot northeast of Baghdad on July 19, and on July 28, a base in Iraq that lies just 80 kilometres from the Iranian border in an airstrike. That base reportedly contained a shipment of Iranian ballistic missiles, as well as Iranian “advisers,” the report stated.

Iran’s apparent shift to Iraq comes after an intensive Iranian push in recent years to turn Syria into a missile, drone, and terrorist launchpad against Israel. That attempt ran into a brick wall, in the form of hundreds of Israeli airstrikes that largely prevented the rise of an Iranian war machine in Syria. Iran already established a forward division in Lebanon in the form of Hezbollah, and Israel has no intention of allowing Iran to replicate that success in Syria.

Iran appears to have responded to Israel’s intelligence superiority by re-positioning itself in Iraq. If the latest reports are true, Israel is signalling that it is prepared to use the same effective combination of intelligence and precision firepower to thwart Iranian threats as they form in Iraq, just like it did in Syria.

In addition, it seems that the shadow war between Tehran and Jerusalem in Syria is far from over. Last week, Israeli jets reportedly struck a target in southern Syria’s Tel al-Hara, apparently to stop Iranian-backed forces from seizing control of a strategically important hill that can be used to gather intelligence on Israel.

Reports also surfaced last week of a Hezbollah operative – a Syrian-Druze resident of the village of Khadr, near the Israeli border – being killed after his car exploded as it drove in south Syria.

Iran continues efforts to surround Israel with missiles and hostile forces

Israel’s “War Between Wars,” the low-profile campaign designed to stop Iran from setting up attack and weapons bases in Syria and beyond, seems to remain highly active. It is a direct response to Iran’s own intensive attempts to build up threats against Israel, including the attempt to flood Syria with missile factories, rocket launchers, drone bases, and terror cells.

Iran has failed to achieve many of its central goals in Syria, so the Iranian Quds Force, led by the notorious Qassem Soleimani, looks determined to set up some of the missile bases on Iraqi soil instead.

A new border crossing being built by Iran that links Syria to Iraq is set to open in the coming two months. The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Centre identified why this crossing is critical to Iran’s ambitions, noting that it is “vital for the land bridge Iran seeks to construct between its territory and the Mediterranean Sea. The route allows Iran to send forces, supplies, and weapons through Iraq to Syria and from there to Lebanon. It can be assumed that Iran is of the opinion that the land bridge will enable it to reduce its dependence on risky aerial and naval routes. The new crossing, when it opens, will enable larger numbers of vehicles to enter Syria and make it easier to preserve secrecy.”

DANIEL 8 PROPHESIES IRAN’S INVASION OF MIDDLE EAST

A simple interpretation of Daniel 8 suggests Iran is going to invade most of the Middle East (the vision concerns the time of the end”. Iran’s current presence in Syria, Lebanon (Hezbollah) and Gaza (Hamas) and continued threats to annihilate Israel already give credence to this prophesy. Former Intelligence Chief: Gravest Threat Facing Israel is ‘First Northern War

“The gravest threat we face is not the third Lebanon war, but the first northern war – simultaneous conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, which Hamas in the south is likely to join,” warned IDF Maj.-Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, former head of the IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate.

Speaking while presenting President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday with the 2019 Strategic Assessment from the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) which he currently heads, Yadlin noted that “Israel of 2019 is a strong country, the IDF is extremely powerful and deters our enemies.” The INSS research highlights the major political and diplomatic issues facing Israel in the near future. On the list of leading threats by severity, the INSS’s 2019 assessment includes war with all the enemy forces and on all fronts in the north – Iran on the Golan Heights, Hezbollah (Iran proxy) in Lebanon, and the Syrian regime – as well as a military conflict in the south with Hamas (Iran funded)  in Gaza and a deterioration of the situation in Judea and Samaria.
