Back in 2003, the world’s most famous investor, Warren Buffet, famously called derivatives “a mega-catastrophic risk”, “financial weapons of mass destruction” and a “time bomb”.
Our Australian banks exposure to derivatives is also of concern at 5 times their asset value, particularly NAB and Westpac but nothing like the USA big banks at 50 times.

Those that know God and His Word, know the times we are living in, so should not be surprised at these coming events. It is a a time for the church to reach out to their communities, as did the early church (Acts), when persecution came. A time for fasting and prayer, to seek God on what you need to do, to prepare for this USA banks triggered economic collapse. It will impact Australia and the rest of the world.
ISIS is attempting to model “Orthodox Islam,” and Islam says they are a “religion of peace. But we need to understand that they don’t consider peace like a westerner would. They only mean that peace will come after they have conquered the world and all people submit to Allah and Sharia Law. The Koran prescribes violence until then. This is an incredibly important nuance to understand and explain to others. Muslims only tell the world half the story.
Irish Muslim leader, Raied al-Wazzan, who has brought charges against an Irish Pastor who dared preach against Islam had this to say about the city of Mosul in Iraq after ISIS conquered it:
“Mosul is the most peaceful city in the world . . . the Islamic State came to protect a section of society that had been marginalised.” Mind you this is after Jihadists had murdered or expelled all of the city’s 2,000-year-old, 60,000-strong Christian community.
This Muslim leader further stated that Sunni Muslims (who agree with ISIS) could now walk the streets of Mosul without fear. This is the “peace” Muslims claim: totalitarian control and the conversion or murder of Christians and everyone else who doesn’t pledge submission to the Caliph. That is the peace they are looking for. Islam is the most violent ideology on the planet towards those who don’t submit to it.
This aspect of Islam is challenging to Christians who don’t want to believe that the Muslims they befriend and work with accept this violent ideology. The correct answer is that all don’t. There is a reform movement in Islam that attempts to distance itself from “Orthodox Islam,” because human conscience naturally rejects violence against innocents. However, it is important to understand that these reformers are rejecting their own scriptures and the “model” life of their prophet.
Jonathan Cahn makes the case in this video. Just as God used the kings of Babylon and Assyria to chasten His nation Israel. He is using Assyria again today. He is in control. He is bringing about the events prophesied in His book (HOLY BIBLE) which tells His story from the beginning to the fiery end of this cosmos. The good news is the new heaven and new earth which John foresees in Revelation 21 – A New Heaven and Earth are Created.
Many Christians, including me, like to think that God will keep us from the last days Tribulation period (7 years, particularly the last 3 ½ years), when He pours out His wrath upon the earth.
“Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth.” Revelation 3:10
This is one of the strongest declarations that the church will not go through the Tribulation period. Nevertheless there are differing views which are worth considering so I suggest you take a look at the video by Nelson Walters.
He puts the view that “unlessan individual is 100% sure of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, it is the moral imperative to prepare to face at least the first 3 ½ years of the Tribulation and therefore the Antichrist.”
He says, “It is not just your own personal life at stake but the lives and souls of everyone you teach and come into contact with. What could be more important?”
Sadly there is very little teaching in churches on what the Bible teaches on “end times” and yet the Bible clearly tells us that there is a great falling away during the “end times”.
Bottom line; we can trust God to be with us regardless of our circumstances, so draw closer to Him by spending more time in His Word and prayer.

Unlike a conference with pre-determined speakers and pre-set teachings, in a Gathering believers answer a call from the Lord to come together to worship and wait on Him. These Gatherings (Gathering in His Presence) happen and people come from all over because they feel led to attend. Perhaps the biggest component is the presence of God. It’s like Moses who said, “Lord, if You don’t go with us, then I don’t want to go” (Exod. 33:15, paraphrased). So, we gather because we feel led to. We worship and bless the Lord and then watch and obey as He leads.
For me, this walking together with others in the Gatherings began after the March 2011 Tsunami in Japan. One of the first things the Lord told me was to attend the Gathering/Homecoming in Hong Kong that July. Teddy and I attended, and I got the understanding that somehow He would use the Gathering to bring breakthrough in Japan.
This year, the Lord called us to have three large Gatherings. The first was at Kobe, Japan, in May. The theme the Lord gave us was that He was opening the gates (Ps. 24), and that these were gates of harvest—not just in Japan, but in every nation.
The second was in Hong Kong in July, and the theme was alignment. The scripture the Lord gave was Exodus 12:41. When God brought Israel out of Egypt, He brought them out as the “armies of the Lord.” They were aligned and organized. The Lord has been preparing the nations, and now they are aligned. Because of this, there is great authority for the advance of the kingdom of God.
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isa. 43:18–19).
This time in Munich, the key verse was Isaiah 43:18–19, and the theme was how He is doing a new thing. He is releasing His water of blessing for the kingdom of God to spread throughout the earth. Not just rains from heaven—and thus rivers flowing—but also water springing up from the deep. It’s like tectonic plates under the earth are shifting and the underground and ancient water is coming up. Furthermore, the wells of salvation (Isa. 12:3) from earlier generations are also being reopened. It was no mistake that God had us meet in Germany, the land from which the first Reformation came. It was also prophesied that the wells of the Moravians (the group that began to take the gospel from Europe to almost every nation) are now being opened again. Those wells are being reopened, as are older wells—even those going all the way back to the early church are opening up.
There were many specific things that happened, some of which are as follows:
Israeli believers forgave Germany and blessed them. These two “father nations” are now arising to bless other countries.
As a prophetic act, Jewish believers blessed the Arab believers, knowing that Israel must first bless them (Ishmael came first [Gen. 16–17]) in order for themselves to be blessed.
This blessing will result in a great breaking off of the orphan spirit that hinders so many believers worldwide. On Tuesday afternoon, the Lord showed us that it was time for the spirit of fatherlessness to be removed and that He was doing it. (Note: Feeling of fatherlessness and the orphan spirit often come about because of antisemitism. Thus, part of the solution has been the healing for Israel to now be able to forgive and to bless others.)
There is a new fire of God being released in His people and giving birth to a youth movement in every nation.
The main point is that God has brought us to a new place and time, and that He is doing a new thing. He doesn’t want us to focus on old things, but know that He is releasing vast wells of salvation. He wants us to know and see it.
Several representatives of Watchmen for the Nations who organize the Gatherings, visited Australia in July, 2015 (Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne). A tentative time, place and name for a Gathering has been prayerfully submitted to Watchmen for the Nations. Please pray, God will show Watchmen for the Nations, His will in this matter.

When people have a personal encounter with our Lord, true repentance and revival take place. These people know they have eternal life and are able to boldly proclaim their faith even in the face of persecution and death.
As prophesied “last days” events are unfolding quickly. It is like we are in ‘fast forward’. The War Room movie is a reminder for us all, both personally and the church, to seek the Lord passionately in prayer, to know the times and our role to bring His Kingdom rule in our community.
GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson says its possible the world is headed toward the end times prophesied in the Bible, but added that as president he would take action to “ameliorate” it.
Appearing Sunday on “Full Measure,” Carson, a Seventh-day Adventist, was asked by host Sharyl Attkisson about his views on the biblical prophesies of the end times compared with current world events.
“Do you think we’re at the End of Days?” she asked.
“You could guess that we are getting closer to that,” Carson responded.
But he contrasted his own end-time views with those of some Islamic extremists in the Middle East who believe they must take actions to set up a caliphate in order to usher in the prophesies of the Quran.
“You do have people who have a belief system that sees this apocalyptic phenomenon occurring, and that they’re a part of it, and who would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if they gain … them,” he said.
Attkisson asked if a “change of course” could avert “something that’s prophesied.”
“I think we have a chance to certainly do everything that we can to ameliorate the situation.” Carson said. “I would always be shooting for peace. You know, I wouldn’t just take a fatalistic view of things.”
Carson came under fire for saying on “Meet the Press” September 20 that he doesn’t think a Muslim should be president. He has since said he meant that any Muslim president would have to put the Constitution over Muslim teachings, as would any Christian president and that Sharia is incompatible with that position.
In discussing the president, Carson noted that “Obama serves the interest of the progressive movement,” stating his belief that those are not policies the American people want. Carson declared that President Obama has been successful at foisting progressivism on the country.
He reiterated his position that elements of Islam such as Sharia Law are incompatible with the American Constitution because it “subjugates women in a pretty substantial way” and punishes by death acts of “adultery and homosexuality.”
Attkisson asked Carson about the fact that more Muslim refugees in Syria have been granted Visas compared to Christians in Syria. Catholic News Agency reported that over 900 Muslims from Syria have been granted asylum compared to about 20 Christians, she said.
“I don’t think our policies make a whole lot of sense,” declared Carson. “Why would you bring them into a country that they are dedicated to destroy?”
The United States could use some of its expertise and financial resources to help solve the problem and settle them within their own region, he added.
On the issue of separation of church and state, Carson said “there should be a line drawn” while also noting “there shouldn’t be a Constitutional reason why a person can’t live a public life of faith.”
When asked about firearms, Carson said he has been awarded several awards for his marksmen skills, is a member of the NRA, and owner of “mostly shotguns.”
When asked by Attkisson about the strengths and weaknesses of the major Democrat candidates for the presidency, he called former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton somebody who has “tenacity,” but added her weakness was “dishonesty, lack of integrity.”
He said Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders weakness was “socialist” policies and his strength was “being a populist.” Vice President Joe Biden, who has not declared his candidacy, is somebody who is known for being amicable, Carson added, but he has wholeheartedly embraced “Obama’s policies.”

As Christians we understand that almost everything is being shaken and at risk – the economic, environmental and social fabric of society is deteriorating. God has called us to be part of the solution for this time! We need to be like the men of Issachar who understood the times and seek God’s YES for our personal and working life.
