CONVERSING DAILY WITH GOD

Walking in Daily Conversation With God

Many believers think of hearing God as something that happens only in special moments — during a powerful worship service, a quiet retreat, or a crisis that drives them to prayer. But Scripture paints a very different picture. From the Garden of Eden to the early church, God’s desire has always been to walk with His people in ongoing relationship. Not just occasionally. Not just when life is falling apart. But daily.

Jesus did not die and rise again simply to give us a ticket to heaven. He restored what was lost — intimate fellowship with God. Walking in daily conversation with God is not reserved for spiritual elites. It is the birthright of every believer. The Shepherd speaks, and His sheep follow. The Father loves, and His children respond. The Spirit leads, and we walk in step with Him.

Daily conversation with God is not complicated. It is not mystical. It is not about hearing an audible voice. It is about cultivating a heart that is aware of God’s presence, attentive to His whispers, and responsive to His leading throughout the day.

God Designed Us for Ongoing Fellowship

From the beginning, God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. That picture is not poetic symbolism — it is God’s original intention for humanity. Sin broke that fellowship, but Christ restored it. Now, through the Holy Spirit, God dwells within us. We are never alone. We are never unheard. We are never out of His presence.

Daily conversation with God is simply living in the reality of that truth. It is acknowledging Him in the ordinary moments — the commute, the kitchen, the workplace, the quiet evening at home. God is not confined to church services or devotional times. He is present in every breath we take.

Conversation Begins With Awareness

The first step in walking in daily conversation with God is awareness. Most believers are not struggling to hear God because He is silent; they are struggling because they are distracted. Life is loud. Responsibilities are heavy. Our minds are full. But God often speaks in a still, small voice — not because He is weak, but because He invites us to slow down and draw near.

Awareness means pausing throughout the day to acknowledge God’s presence. It can be as simple as whispering, “Lord, I know You’re here,” or “Father, guide me in this moment.” These small acknowledgments open the door for conversation. They shift our focus from ourselves to Him.

Daily Conversation Flows From a Listening Heart

Conversation with God is not just talking — it is listening. Many believers fill their prayer time with words but leave no space for God to respond. But relationship requires listening. The Holy Spirit speaks gently, often through impressions, Scripture brought to mind, or a sudden sense of clarity or peace.

A listening heart is not passive; it is attentive. It is a heart that says, “Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening.” It is a heart that expects God to guide, correct, encourage, and lead throughout the day.

Listening may happen in quiet moments, but it also happens in motion — while driving, working, or walking. God is not limited by our schedule. He speaks whenever our hearts are open.

Daily Conversation Is Rooted in Scripture

God’s voice is most clearly heard through His Word. Daily conversation with God is strengthened when we begin the day with Scripture, allowing the Spirit to plant truth in our hearts. Throughout the day, He brings those truths back to mind at just the right moment.

A verse read in the morning becomes guidance in the afternoon. A promise meditated on at lunch becomes comfort in the evening. A command studied in devotion becomes conviction in a moment of temptation.

The Spirit uses Scripture as the vocabulary of God’s voice. The more we fill our hearts with the Word, the more clearly we recognize His whispers.

Daily Conversation Involves Simple, Honest Prayer

Prayer does not need to be formal or eloquent. God is not impressed by fancy words. He desires honesty, simplicity, and openness. Daily conversation with God can be as natural as talking with a close friend.

“Lord, help me with this decision.” “Father, give me patience right now.” “Jesus, thank You for this moment.” “Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts.”

These short, sincere prayers keep our hearts connected to God throughout the day. They remind us that He is involved in every detail of our lives.

Daily Conversation Requires Sensitivity to the Spirit’s Nudges

The Holy Spirit often speaks through gentle nudges — a prompting to encourage someone, a reminder to pray, a conviction to avoid a certain path, or a sudden sense of peace about a decision. These nudges are invitations to partner with God in what He is doing.

Responding quickly to these nudges strengthens our sensitivity to God’s voice. Delaying or ignoring them makes His voice harder to recognize. Obedience sharpens discernment.

Daily Conversation Leads to Transformation

Walking in daily conversation with God is not just about hearing Him — it is about becoming like Him. The more we walk with Him, the more His heart shapes ours. His peace becomes our peace. His compassion becomes our compassion. His wisdom becomes our wisdom.

Daily conversation with God transforms ordinary moments into holy ones. It turns routine tasks into opportunities for worship. It turns challenges into invitations for trust. It turns life into a continual journey with the One who loves us most.

God Is Speaking — Walk With Him Today

God is not silent. He is not distant. He is not waiting for you to reach a certain level of spiritual maturity before He speaks. He is already speaking. He is already leading. He is already inviting you into daily fellowship.

Walking in daily conversation with God is not about perfection — it is about presence. It is about turning your heart toward Him again and again throughout the day. It is about living with open ears, open eyes, and an open heart.

The Shepherd is walking with you. Listen for His voice. Respond to His nudges. Speak to Him simply and often. And enjoy the daily companionship of the God who delights to walk with His children.

Jesus is returning soon. How good it will be if you have already developed a close relationship with Him. Will you be ready to rule and reign with Him in Jesus Millennial Kingdom? If you want to know more about what is next on God’s agenda for planet Earth go to http://www.millennialkingdom.net

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT’S ROLE IN OUR SALVATION AND IN OUR LIFE

“The Holy Spirit is how God quickens us to new life and births us from above.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.John 3:5-7

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11

The third person of the Trinity. All three have a role in your Salvation.

The Holy Spirit has a special role as He seals us for eternity. The Apostle Paul says,

In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.John 14:16-17

These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.John 14:25-26

But When He, the Spirit of truth, comes He will guide you into all truth” John 16:13

But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness about me.John 15:26

I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” John 16:7

It is the Holy Spirit’s role to convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgement. We cannot convert anyone unless the Holy Spirit has first convicted the person of their sin.

And when he comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” John 16:7-11

The Holy Spirit produces the fruit of the Spirit in your life.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

He provides the gifts of the Spirit for ministry

For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another, the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another, the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another, various kinds of tongues, to another, the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills1 Corinthians 12:7-11

SUMMARY

He lives within you forever (John 14:16).

He directs your paths (Prov. 3:4-5, Romans 8:14, Acts 8:29, Acts 8:39)

He guides you into all truth (John 14:17, 16:13a).

He teaches you all things (John 14:26a).

He reveals to you things to come (John 16:13).

He reveals to you the deep things of God (1 Cor. 2:10).

He produces the fruit of the Spirit in your life. (Galatians 5:22-23)

He equips and empowers you for ministry. (1 Corinth. 12:7-11)

He freely gives you all things (1 Cor. 2:12).

He offers you the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16).

You cannot live a Christian life without the Holy Spirit. It is impossible. Make sure you do not grieve the Holy Spirit nor quench His work in your life but follow Paul’s advice that he gave to Timothy, “fan into flame the gift of God“.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.Ephesians 4:30

Do not quench the Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19

For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.2 Timothy 1:6

THE HOLY SPIRIT SUSTAINS US THROUGH TRIALS AND TRIBULATION

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom He predestined He also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30

Coptic Christian martyrs for Christ

While this life is fraught with many trials and tribulations, the sufferings we experience are to be counted as incomparable with the glories to come. We groan, we wail, we suffer—yet with much hope as we persevere to the end, waiting for the redemption of all creation, and even our bodies. Yet in this, the tension that all mankind faces come to the forefront, and the reason for this is simple: we must wait. This anticipation for glory builds more and more anticipation the longer we must endure this life. This anticipation for glory sustains us and brings forth one major reason why we persevere: we hope in the age to come rather than in this broken and fallen age.

Paul says, that in the same way, this hope for glorification sustains us, the Spirit sustains us, for He knows precisely how to intercede on our behalf before the Father.

Where words and utterances fail us in our prayers, the Spirit transforms them into prayers that match the will of God. The very purpose of the Spirit’s intercession is not so we can feel good about His work in doing so, though we should have much joy in this fact. Rather, the Spirit’s work in transforming our failed prayers likewise culminates in us reaching the finish line, where we are ushered into the presence of our Triune Lord for all eternity. In other words, the Spirit’s work of intercession on our behalf is part and parcel of our endurance; we endure not only for the hope of the age to come but specifically because part of the Spirit’s work is to bring about endurance in us.

Here then is where we find our particular reference that God works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. And what is that purpose? Paul says, the “good” that God is working all things together for, is explicit.

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30

Human suffering has a purpose that culminates in glory. To make that ever clearer: the purpose of our trials and sufferings is to bring us to final redemption, where we see God face to face, free from the pain, devastation, and destruction caused by the curse of sin, our adversary Satan, and death itself.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38-39

God sees to it, from eternity past to eternity future, that those who love God, that is, those who are in Christ, will one day be glorified, first to assist Jesus in His Millennial reign on this earth and then, after the White Throne judgement, to be ushered into a world free from the Fall and its effects. All of our groaning, all of our longing, all of our deferred hope for what is to come, shall be satisfied in the fullness and richness of God’s saving love through Christ.
