CHURCHES NEED TO RECONNECT WITH THEIR COMMUNITIES

Thousands of people flocked to the National Mall in Washington, DC on May 17 for a massive faith event organized by President Donald Trump’s administration. Dubbed “Rededicate 250: National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving,” the event was tied to the nation’s 250th birthday.

Commencing in 2004, many churches across Australia began celebrating the National Day of Thanksgiving, on the last Saturday in May. FamilyVoice over the years has encouraged the “attitude of gratitude” especially commending the National Day of Thanksgiving.

The first commemoration (2004) was launched by Governor-General Michael Jeffery, with the aim of restoring Christian values in society. At the launch, Prime Minister John Howard said the day “encourages Australians to recognise the values and people that sustain the nation.” Each commemoration follows soon after the 9th May anniversary of the opening of Australia’s first federal Parliament in 1901.

As one of the most peaceful, prosperous nations and one of the longest continuously democratic countries, we have much reason for thanksgiving! Certainly national confession and repentance is greatly needed – but thanksgiving also.

Churches need to connect more closely with the community – particularly all manner of civic authorities whom sadly we have largely abandoned and remind them of our rich Christian heritage. And as churches lead the culture in the expression of gratitude, we perhaps help to “prepare the ground” for crucially-needed confession and repentance.

It’s important to echo words that describe Australia’s rich Christian heritage as we connect to churches and schools.

Australians such as Alfred Deakin, he was a key architect of Australian federation and a three-time Prime Minister who shaped the nation’s early policies and institutions. Deakin composed the following prayer in 1898 as momentum built towards Federation:

Father of Nations, receive our psalm of thanksgiving. Enable us to pursue the cause of unity in spite of the obstacles which at present appear to beset our path …. God preserve this people and grant its leaders unselfish fidelity and courage to face all trials for the sake of brotherhood. Thy blessing has rested upon us here yesterday and we pray that it may be the means of creating and fostering throughout all Australia a Christlike citizenship”.

What has happened to church parades, commissioning services, connections to Cubs, Scouts, Guides, St John’s Ambulance, and the military etc?

When I was a child in the mid 1900’s most children were sent to Sunday School even if their parents did not go to church. They understood that this is where their children would learn about right and wrong and about God and justice. Churches need to tell people what was lost when this practice ceased. Meaning and purpose in life was lost. Fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom was lost. No wonder children suicide rates have increased.

What has happened to the simple action of offering “requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving for kings and all those in authority” as a priority Paul urged: “First of all, then” (1 Timothy 2:1)?

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.1 Timothy 2:1-4

We are fast approaching the time of Jesus return to Earth to restore righteousness and not only rescue the nation God established for His purposes but to fulfil the promises He made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for Israel to be the lead nation of the world with their Messiah as king of the world – Jesus Millennial Kingdom. Go to http://www.millennialkingdom.net for more on what is next on God’s agenda for planet earth. Hence, with an urgency inspired by His soon coming, we need to get on with the job of bringing the Good News to our family, friends and neighbours.

MINDLESS: HOW THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IS INDOCTRINATING CHILDREN AND DESTROYING OUR CIVILISATION

This book Mindless: How the Education System is Indoctrinating Children and Destroying Our Civilisation by d’Abrera, Bella (Wyborn Press, 2026) has 270 pages devoted to showing how the rot has set into Western education (looking primarily at Australia, America and England), d’Abrera asks, ‘What is to be done?’ She looks at how America is leading the way here, with Australia and the UK lagging well behind.

She notes how Washington, under Trump, “turned off the money tap”. For example, it “began freezing billions of dollars in federal research grants in response to what it described as ‘institutional antisemitism’ and entrenched ideological bias on campus.” (p. 273)

She offers various examples of this, and then writes: Whatever one thinks of Trump, the freeze has exposed a reality. Supposedly, sovereign institutions have long been propped up by federal support, and Washington can hold them to account if it chooses…

Ultimately, it appears that ‘what is to be done?’ cannot be left to the universities themselves. The solution, therefore, lies outside the system. And in this respect, America is leading the way. There, individuals with dedication, energy, and awareness of how precarious things have become, are establishing new universities. Their aim is simple: to restore the university to its true purpose and ensure that they are not beholden to the state. (pp. 274-275)

Hillsdale College in Michigan is one such example of this, as is the University of Austin in Texas. Things are tougher in this regard in England, but Australia has had some success in creating new educational institutions, including Campion College in Sydney, Alphacrucis University College in Melbourne, and St John Henry Newman College in Queensland.

And the corruption in schools, and not just in higher education, can also be challenged. Thus, the rise and rise of things like homeschooling, private schooling, Christian education, charter schools, and so on. School choice, as in the voucher system, is an important way forward.

She says this about the situation in America: Down in Texas and Arizona, school choice legislation has expanded dramatically, making it possible for parents to send their children to charter or private schools with state-backed vouchers. Vouchers are essentially public grant money which gives families the genuine freedom to decide where their children are educated, and to take them out of the ideologically captured public system.

Vouchers don’t just give parents freedom to choose, they open up an immense range of choices. Parents can send their children to one of seventy-five Chesterton schools, whose curriculum is everything that today’s state system is not. Children are immersed in Homer, Dante and Shakespeare. Where government schools strip away the arts, Chesterton insists every child must paint, sing, and perform. There is no climate change anxiety, no gender confusion, and no racial tensions. (pp. 280-281)

She goes on to discuss the importance of parents in schooling: To reclaim education, they must first reclaim their role as parents. It is mothers and fathers who bring children into the world, who give them their moral and spiritual formation, not the state. They must start to recognise the ideological dangers that the system is posing to their offspring and become far less trusting. It is time for parents to stop outsourcing authority and for the family, that building block of society, to reclaim the child. This means rejecting the Rousseau-inspired deception that only experts can raise children, which has permeated Western culture, and which has to some extent, given parents licence to abnegate responsibility. (p. 283)

d’Abrera closes her book this way: Where we go from here will decide whether the Western mind survives. If children continued to be subjected to mass conditioning while being denied the chance to flourish in truth, beauty, reason, and reality, then Western Civilisation itself will not endure. The closing of the Western mind is not merely an educational crisis, but a civilisational one. We are teetering on the edge, but it is not too late. Our survival won’t depend on the rising generation now rebelling against the system, whose minds remain open enough to chart a course out of the ideological doldrums into which we have drifted. (p. 285)

Another great book is by Stefanik, Elise, Poisoned Ivies: The Inside Account of the Academic and Moral Rot at America’s Elite Universities (Threshold Editions, 2026)

It is wonderful to see efforts to turn our world back to God however God’s Word declares that we are already in the end times prior to Jesus return to restore righteousness. Sadly, we know that God allows Satan to do His utmost with the Antichrist and the False Prophet having 3 1/2 years to rule this world. However, during this time God pours out His wrath upon the Earth with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements. We are called to persevere and not deny His Word during this time but to fulfill all that He has called us to do.

HISTORY IS HIS: JESUS WHO IS, WHO WAS, AND WHO IS TO COME

Change, chaos, suffering, and tribulation are real. Scripture never denies that. But Revelation pulls back the curtain to show what governs it all: a sovereign God who stands above history, from Alpha to Omega. Martyn explains why history isn’t random, why suffering isn’t wasted, and why the future is not out of control.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:3-8

Another great sermon from Martyn Isles on Revelation. Martyn understands we are living in the Biblical end times.

Fear not, God is on His throne, in total control, and all tribulation that Christians face will serve a glorious purpose for us and for Him.

GOD IS ABOUT TO HUMBLE AND JUDGE THE WORLD

Bodo Hoenen is a relative new Christian coming from a high level scientific and engineering background. Listen to how he wrestles with the question as to “why there are no clear answers” to many Biblical questions. Moreover, I believe he is right to conclude that God is about to humble and judge the world.

God is using this new Christian to show how much the traditional, institutional churches have departed from the truth of God’s Word, thereby helping many Christians in these churches.

The second video is a great presentation of the gospel message which I will send on to people I know who are open and even searching for truth about the big questions of life. I suggest you do the same.

Bodo shares a deeply personal message, recounting a vivid vision of eternity and a consequential choice. The video explores this vision through introspective reflection and scientific analysis. Prepare for a thought provoking journey into existential question, as well as hear a great presentation of the Gospel message.

THE KING IS COMING BACK AGAIN

Grammy Award-winning country star John Rich is unapologetically wading into the deep waters of faith, morality, and cultural decay, fueled by a concern for what he sees as a crisis of conviction within the American Church.

“We are just overrun by all this wickedness everywhere you turn,” the 50-year-old one-half of the duo Big & Rich told The Christian Post.

Listen to his new song Revelation. The King is coming back again just as John Rich sings. The evil spoken of in Revelation is manifesting in our time and people like John Rich see it.

DO YOU WANT TO HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS?

The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron.” Revelation 2:26-27

God has responsibilities in store for you in the Millennial Age to Come that you cannot imagine. You could literally end up being a general in the Lord’s army. You could literally end up subduing entire nations.

But make no mistake God is training His army now if you allow the Holy Spirit to direct your steps.. When He asks us to overcome various obstacles today, He is not only preparing us for our next “season” of life. At a more fundamental level He is also preparing us to wage war with Him and reign with Him in His Millennial Kingdom.

How we respond to adversity, hardships, disappointment, persecution, temptation, and unanswered prayers will determine our rank, position, and responsibilities in the kingdom of God. Don’t be surprised by adversity. This life is your job interview for the future.

Let us strive to be faithful and worthy of the honor the Lord will bestow upon us in His coming Millennial Kingdom. Let us seek His grace and keep His deeds until the end. Please pray for me, and I will pray for you.

Let us all start Living Eternal Now – Ready for Jesus’ Return. My book is available on Amazon as an ebook or trade paperback, or you can email me at ron.careshare@gmail.com and I will send you an autographed copy for US$20 including postage to anywhere in the world.

When he comes on that day to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at among all who have believed because our testimony to you was believed. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.2 Thessalonians 1:10-12

WHY YOU SHOULD BELIEVE AND TRUST JESUS CHRIST

This is the prayer Jesus prayed to His Heavenly Father knowing He would be tortured and crucified the following day.

I would urge you to carefully read what it says and means considering the following: 1. In the context of Jesus’ life on Earth as recorded by His disciples, 2. His disciples all gave up their lives rather than deny the truth of Jesus Christ and His Word. 3. Jesus changed the world dramatically, B.C. and A.D., as many nations accepted the Judaeo Christian worldview, 4. The fact that there are over 300 prophecies by Old Testament prophets of Jesus’ first coming to Earth that were fulfilled to the letter. 5. There are more than 1,000 prophecies of Jesus’ second coming to Earth and I would suggest that they will be fulfilled exactly as the prophecies of Jesus’ first coming were fulfilled. Many have already been fulfilled, particularly one major one – the re-establishment of the nation of Israel in 1948. Biblical prophecies tell us that Jesus will return with the glorified Saints to rescue the nation of Israel at the prophesied battle of Armageddon. Prior to 1948 Israel as a nation did not exist. In the second century AD, the Romans crushed the revolt of Shimon Bar Kokhba (132 AD) during which Jerusalem and Judea were regained and the land of Judea was renamed Palaestina in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the land.

JESUS HIGH PRIESTLY PRAYER

Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
“I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake, I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
John 17:1-26

You have to be blinded by the evil one if you cannot see the truth of these wonderful words. The truth about the one who spoke them and the truth of our Heavenly Father to whom Jesus spoke this prayer. What a wonderful God we have. How awesome it is that He loves us to the extent that He does.

COMING MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

Most Christians are giving no thought to Jesus second coming to earth and yet there are far more prophecies about His second coming than there were of His first coming. We need to remember that despite the many prophecies of Jesus’ first Coming, the religious leaders of the day, the Pharisees and Sadducees, totally rejected Him. What about the religious leaders of our Day?

Fortunately, there are many great ministries that God is raising up in these last days to alert Christians to the many signs Jesus has given of His second coming. The primary “end times” ministry, I would recommend is Nelson Walters’s YouTube videos. Make sure you sign up for those. Those that follow this website know that I repost many of Nelson’s videos here.

Jesus’ “end times” warnings are given in all three Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke (Olivet Discourse). Paul confirms key “end times” prophecies in 1 Thessalonians – The Coming of the Lord (1 Thess.4:13-18) and The Day of the Lord (1 Thess.5:1-11). In Revelation, John opens up many of the OT prophecies, particularly the book of Daniel (“Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the endDaniel 12:9). Daniel and John in Revelation give us great detail on the last seven years (70th week of Daniel) prior to Jesus’ return. For Christians, it is imperative that we recognise the Antichrist (Great Deceiver) and the False Prophet when they arrive on the scene. These two individuals are going to look really good as the apparent deliverers from the mounting chaos in the world. Fortunately in Revelation, John takes us through to the end of the story when the Antichrist is defeated and Jesus ushers in His Millennial rule on this earth. All the OT prophets were given the victorious end of Israel’s story with their Messiah ruling the nations from a magnificent new Jerusalem. Great detail is given in the Bible on the last one thousand years of this Cosmos’s existence before God destroys it with fire.

I believe one of my tasks is to get Christians thinking and praying about how they might prepare now for their role when they return with Jesus in their resurrected bodies to rule and reign with Him. Remember, Jesus’ Millennial reign is a transition period. The curse is not lifted from this Cosmos so people are still being born and dying. We are told repeatedly that Jesus and the Saints rule with a “rod of iron”. Satan is bound in the Abyss for most of this time but is released at a time near the end of the thousand years and is still able to gather an enormous army (“their number is like the sand of the seaRev.20:8), to come against Jesus and the Saints. Even with Jesus and the resurrected Saints here on earth people will still rebel wanting to be the god of their own little world.

I am in the process of building the website http://www.millennialkingdom.net which I hope you will use to start to become familiar with what God has revealed to us about Jesus’ soon-coming Millennial Kingdom. He has revealed it for a purpose. When you do it will make you more Kingdom-focused and in prayer about how you can fulfill your mission here and now.

In the Millennium, I am sure we will be using the latest technologies; ENERGY: I am confident Nuclear Fusion will be perfected as a power source. TRANSPORT: It appears that Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Battery Powered vehicles will both have a place. ROBOTICS: Use of robots will expand. Amazon’s robotic warehouses have demonstrated the benefits. Robots work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no tea and lunch breaks, no holidays or sick leave and they do not make mistakes. The biggest unbudgeted saving for Amazon was no mistakes. The savings were huge from Customer Service not having to handle customer complaints about wrong deliveries: phone calls, the cost of returns, and sending replacement products.

Just saw this video of aerial robots picking fruit.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Driverless cars and trucks will be the norm. Moreover, it is unlikely we will own vehicles. We will just order the correct-sized vehicle for whatever purpose. It will arrive on time and deliver you or your group to where you want to go and then move on to its next task. The savings will be enormous, fewer vehicles as all working most of the time, no garages at home or work.

AGRICULTURE: Fresh vegetables grown in cities close to where they are consumed will be the norm. It is already happening in places like Singapore. Gardens in the sky – echo urban architecture.

In the Millennium I think God will use me in the business segment as it was a talent He has given me and I enjoyed it. What about you? You can pray into it by asking God to prepare you now for your coming role in His Kingdom.

PSALMS 2 IS A PROPHECY FOR OUR TIME

Note what is in store for the leaders of nations and those that follow them that set themselves against God and His commandments. “He will speak to them in his wrath and terrify them in his fury.”

Why do the nations rage, and the people’s plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed (Saints), saying, Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens laughs: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then He will speak to them in his wrath and terrify them in his fury. As for me, I will set my King on Zion, my holy hill. I will declare the decree: The Lord said to Me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now, therefore, O’ kings be wise: be warned O’ rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He is angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him. Psalms 2: 1-12

This cannot be about King David as he never ruled the ends of the earth, nor did he or any of his sons ever enjoy unrivaled control over all the nations. David endured a constant state of warfare until the end of his life. It only makes sense to conclude that it is the Messiah himself, Jesus who is receiving his inheritance from God the Father in these verses, which he will possess when he establishes the Messianic Kingdom in the future.

They (Saints) came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

YOU NEED TO KNOW JESUS

For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow — of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth — and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.Philippians 2:9-11
