ROBOTS EVERYWHERE IN OUR SOCIETY: INDUSTRY, HOMES, TRANSPORT, EVEN ENTERTAINMENT

According to Chinese media, The Economic Observer, the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, arrived in Beijing on January 19th 2025, for Nvidia’s branch annual meeting, where he dined with Xingxing Wang, CEO of humanoid robot maker Unitree Robotics, and He Wang, founder of Galbot (Robotics). Both are representatives of a younger generation of Chinese tech entrepreneurs born in the 1990s, now in their early 30s.

Chinese media China Star Market also reported that Xingxing Wang shared a photo with Huang on social media, captioned: “New year, new beginning, let’s go!” The report highlighted that Huang held meetings with high-level representatives from several leading Chinese robotics companies during his time in Beijing. Aside from Unitree Robotics and Galbot, attendees included executives from LimX Dynamics, Booster Robotics, and Kecheng Huang, co-founder of Emerging AI.

Another media outlet China Entrepreneur noted that Huang and Unitree’s Wang are not strangers to each other. In March 2024, during the GTC conference, Huang showcased nine humanoid robots, including those from Unitree. At CES 2025, Nvidia also announced its partnerships with Chinese robotics companies such as Unitree Robotics and XPeng Robotics.

We should not be surprised that China has many companies making robots as it is the largest market for robots, followed by Japan, and America third. This seems strange in a country with so much cheap labour compared to the rest of the world.

Peter Diamandis, a serial entrepreneur, futurist, technologist, and New York best-selling author, says that by 2026, we should have humanoid robots in private homes helping with laundry, vacuuming, and dishes, at least in beta testing. By 2040, there could be as many as 10 billion globally in all areas of the economy, and their labour might be as cheap as $10 a day.

In the future, they’ll be everywhere in our economy, Diamandis says: in healthcare, manufacturing, the service industry, public and urban spaces, transport, and even entertainment. This is such a transformational change that analysts don’t yet really understand how to estimate its value: Goldman Sachs says selling humanoid robots will be a $38 billion space by 2035, while Ark Invest says the resulting economic value of their labour could be as high as $24 trillion.

Judging by the debt levels of most governments in the Western world, they are out of control and unable to manage effectively. Imagine the impact of massive job losses due to companies replacing employees with robots. Currently, Amazon’s warehouses are already set to replace human workers with 100,000 robots. This is just one more reason governments will accept giving over governance to the Biblical prophesied one-world government. In September 2024, world leaders adopted the U.N. Pact for the Future, a landmark declaration pledging concrete actions towards a safer, more peaceful, sustainable and inclusive world for tomorrow’s generations. The Pact’s five broad focus areas include: sustainable development, international peace and security, science and technology, youth and future generations, and transforming global governance.

We are fast approaching the last seven years before Jesus returns first to rapture His church and then to pour out His wrath upon an unrepentant world. The speed with which end-times Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled is exciting and proof that the Bible is the inspired word of God.

WHY LIVING ETERNAL NOW?

“Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” Romans 12:2 instructs: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.“, and 1 John 2:15 states, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Jesus said during the Sermon on the Mount, “You cannot serve two mastersMatthew 6:24. Repeatedly, Scripture talks of the perishable and the imperishable, the temporal and the eternal. As Christians, we simply cannot give our attention to both. We either live in this world with eternity in mind or we don’t. As Blakey put it, we must ask ourselves: “Do I want the new Heaven and new Earth later or this world now?”

Asking the question, however, is just the beginning. We should have an answer to it as well. Especially because our answer to that question says a lot about what we love, where our hope is placed, and, perhaps most strikingly, where we may be headed when we’re no longer walking the earth. Our answer is a matter of life or death; obedience or rebellion; truth or deceit. Our answer may well determine whether we truly understand the difference between being in the world and being of the world.

To desire this world implies a desire for the temporary. Fading pleasures and perishable goods often lure people astray. Instant gratification and selfish ambition cause many to feel as though this world offers more than it really does. After all, life is a highway, right? “We only live once,” as they say, so why not make the most of it by doing whatever we want whenever we want?

To choose this world now inevitably means whatever lies beyond the grave is a mere afterthought — if even a thought at all. The author of Ecclesiastes makes this point throughout the whole book: “All is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 8:15a states, “And I commend joy, for man has nothing better under the sun but to eat and drink and be joyful.” Within its proper context, this verse is not advocating for a hedonistic lifestyle — one that places pleasure as the highest good and aims for pleasure. Rather, the point it’s making reflects the primary theme of Ecclesiastes, namely, that nothing really matters apart from God.

All is vanity when we try to live separately from our Creator and rely on our own devices. Our purpose is uprooted and lost in a flood of uncertainty. Hopes and dreams may live on, but to what end? Without objective truth in mind, love, joy, peace, and all biblical fruit carry completely different meanings. In fact, at the heart of some of the most secular ideas is this sense of “I can be my own god,” “no truth is final,” and “this life is ultimately about me.” Almost anyone can walk around believing they’re not voluntarily choosing hell. Who in their right mind would boast about such a choice? However, by choosing this world, one is, in effect, choosing that which we dare not consider.

It’s easy to laugh off the decisions we make in our day-to-day. “Oh, I didn’t know any better.” “I was just having a bad day.” “We all make mistakes, right?” Sure, we are allowed to make mistakes and have bad days. The natural conclusion of living as sinners in a fallen world is that we will make mistakes and have bad days. But for those who are called to righteousness, we cannot allow that to become our excuse for letting poor decisions and misguided priorities be the norm.

As Christians, we should not crave the world we currently reside in but look to God for what He has for us when Jesus Christ returns first to rapture the Saints and then to pour out His wrath upon an unrepentant world. Biblical end-times prophecies reveal that Satan’s rule over planet Earth is coming to an end. What is next on God’s agenda for planet Earth is Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom. Jesus and the glorified Saints will rule and reign on this Earth for 1000 years to complete the Abrahamic, Davidic, and New Covenants. This Earth still has 1,000 years with Jesus and the Saints ruling with a rod of iron. “

She gave birth to a male child (Jesus), one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.” Revelation 12:5-6

The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.Revelation 2:26-27

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. Revelation 19:15a

It is obvious that on the new Heaven and new Earth where only righteousness dwells Jesus and the Saints will not need to rule with a rod of iron. Jesus Millennial Kingdom is a transition period. Jesus must reign over his kingdom until he has defeated all his enemies. Once this is accomplished, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to the Father. When the Kingdom of God is handed over to the Father, it will be free of sin and death, identifying it as the Eternal State (Revelation 21:4, 8).

” Peter described us as “sojourners and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11). The truth is, we don’t actually belong here. When we were born again we were made to be with Christ, worshipping and having fellowship with Him and His people. As Christians, we understand we have a role in this world and should strive to walk in a manner worthy of our calling. We should be salt and light, using our gifts and abilities to serve, bless, and care for others. Christians should be trying to have influence, and we do so by tying everything back to the gospel.

As forgiven sinners, Christians should be defined by our gratitude for what Christ did on the cross for our sake. Believers should be bursting at the seams to share this gloriously Good News with those who are of the world! We do this because we are not of the world. We’re merely in it for a time. We’re just passing through. The church cannot choose this world now because our entire existence is rooted in what comes next – Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom.

PETER GIVES US THIS AMAZING END TIMES SCRIPTURE: CREATION/FLOOD/JESUS SECOND COMING/THE END

You should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing first of all that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.2 Peter 3:3-10

This is a section of scripture where the Apostle Peter is clearly instructing us on Jesus’ Second Coming. First, he shows us how in the last days there will be mockers who doubt that the return of Jesus is imminent. These mockers are non-believers and some are believers. Much of the church acts as if Jesus’ coming is not close at hand. This includes believers who are living as if they have their whole, normal lifetimes in front of them. Most pastors are not preparing their flock for the trials that lie ahead. Peter then helps us understand why the mockers mock: they don’t understand God’s way of telling time! The modern Church has focused on the verse that says that God wishes all to come to repentance. This is a wonderful picture of God’s grace, and we should focus on it. But before that verse is the phrase that explains it all. “One day is like a thousand years.” This is the key to this entire passage, but it has been misunderstood. This is not some general statement like: “God is eternal so long periods of years are like a day to Him.” No, this is a specific instruction. It means when we see the word “day” in the account of creation, it refers to a thousand years prophetically! Notice that before this instruction about the thousand-year equivalent, Peter carefully mentions creation, “by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water.” Why does Peter mention the creation? What does it have to do with the return of Jesus? The Creation account is mentioned so the reader will understand that the day-equals-a-thousand-years formula is to be inserted into it. If Peter did not mean for us to insert the formula into the creation account, why did he mention the creation? This is an awesome key to understanding. It helps show us in the scriptures how God tells time.

Peter validates that the reason scoffers don’t understand when Jesus will return is that they don’t understand that the creation narrative gives us the approximate timing of the Lord’s return. They don’t understand that the principle of a day = a thousand years is to apply prophetically to the creation account.

This Earth has had 6000 years under Satan’s rule, next is Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom. Jesus will rule the nations from the nation God established for His purposes: Israel, with a new Jerusalem as the capital city of the world.

In the Millennium, 13 tribes will inherit a parcel of land.  The portion given to the tribe of Levi is called a holy section.  It will be a parcel 50 miles by 50 miles and will be situated between the land inheritance given to Judah and Benjamin.  Both the city of Jerusalem and the Temple will be in this section of land, called the “sacred district” As described in Ezekiel 45, the land around the Temple is divided into three large parcels of land – The Sanctuary, open space around it and homes for the Levite priests.

King David shall own the land on both sides of the holy district and the property of the city.

PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS ESCALATES AS JESUS RETURN DRAWS NEAR

Hamas terror attacks on Israel have inflamed Islamic extremist sentiment against Christ followers, said an official with a Swiss-based aid agency.

“Since Oct. 7, 2023, the whole Middle East is on intense fire and might explode any time,” said the official, whose identity is withheld for security purposes. “It seems that all political, social, and human rights achievements in the direction of a possible reconciliation between major foes — Saudi-Iran, or the Israel-Arab world — are now very far away. This of course has direct implications for our persecuted brothers and sisters as they are the most vulnerable and often blamed as being enemies of [the] state.”

The historical suffering of Christians who have converted from Islam in the region has reached a new level, he said. “All accomplished liberal thinking and religious tolerance in the Middle East are now departing, leaving the battleground for fanatism and Islamic radicalization to take over,” the official said.

His agency recently provided aid to a leader of a group of converts from Islam in the Palestinian West Bank. The leader is from a prominent Muslim family, and his sister’s husband, a member of the extremist Salafi branch of Islam, recently discovered he had become a follower of Christ and reported him as an “unbeliever” to his relatives. The leader’s prominent Muslim father threw him and his family out of their house. “He then had to flee and hide with his wife and son in a secret place for his security as the whole situation around Oct. 7th got heated up, and people became more radical,” the official said. “With the funds we received, we helped him to rent a hide-out apartment, and provided some living expenses for his family.”

Tensions have long hit Egypt’s borders. Israel’s military campaign against Hamas has divided opinion among church members in Egypt who are also pining under the devaluation of their currency and rising prices. Atop these difficulties, persecution remains the main challenge for Muslim-background believers like Sara (name changed) — an educated person who loves reading and research. When she; began seeking answers about Islam from her husband and some Islamic experts, they couldn’t give her satisfying answers.

“It is considered blasphemy to ask certain questions, and so her husband and other people around her reacted alertly,” the aid agency official said. “However, Sara felt a strong urge to find the truth and continued asking questions.” She began reading Christian books until she concluded that she wanted to follow Christ, he said. “Her husband discovered a change in her and argued with her until he found out that she became a Christian,” he said. “Sara was pregnant at that time. Her husband beat her so badly that she had to be hospitalized and lost her baby.” When she was able to return home, her husband reported her to police. Sara was imprisoned on false charges.

“After some years she was released but was still punished with having to go to the police station every week, where she had to clean the toilets and sit there for hours,” the worker said. “Our local partner heard of her situation and helped her legally. He also helped Sara to find a safe place to stay and a new place to work.”

Persecuted Christians are receiving both aid and spiritual care to strengthen their faith in the face of suffering. In Africa, the Islamic extremist terrorism in Nigeria that has displaced both Muslims and Christians for more than a decade drove one woman’s family to a camp for the internally displaced, where she came to faith in Christ under the teaching of the Swiss agency’s aid partner. The suffering she endured in four years of living in and out of the camp had left her cynical and prone to lying and cheating, the official said. “There was no visible change in her behavior — it required a lot of patience, love and wisdom from our partner and her team, and it was a lot of work for her, but over time she grew out of her bad habits,” the worker said. “Through the teachings, the Bible study, the coaching and prayer, she experienced the love of God and discovered what it means to follow Jesus.” She opened her heart so the Lord could transform and heal her, Sara said. “God has given me the biggest gift of my life,” she told aid workers. “He removed me from darkness to light, from nobody to becoming somebody.”

In Laos, village authorities opposed to ten families leaving their ancestral religion for Christ recently drove them out of the community into the wilderness. They were left about 8 miles away, without homes, farmland, food, and schooling for their children. “We worked closely with the local church to help them to find land for these 10 families to build a simple house to live in, and our team helped them to build the well for them to have water to drink, and a tile roof for their house,” the aid official said. “We continue to work with the local church to have worship every Sunday in their house church, and we provide continuous support for their livelihood development.”

The increase in the level of antisemitism around the world since Hamas attacked Israel makes no earthly sense and proves Scripture’s revelation that it is spiritual warfare and that we are living in the last days before Jesus returns to restore righteousness and usher in His Millennial Kingdom.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Ephesians 6:12

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:9-14

WHAT TRUMP’S WIN MEANS FOR CHRISTIANS

Ray Comfort of Living Waters (http://www.livingwaters.com) makes it clear to Christians that Trump’s win is not going to save anyone only preaching the Gospel, as Jesus commanded us to do, will save people from God’s judgement.

Trump is not going to turn back the clock and restore Judaeo-Christian values. Jesus and in fact even the O.T prophets particularly Daniel make it clear that Jews and Christians are going to experience intense persecution, tribulation, and great tribulation in the time up to Jesus second coming to Earth to defeat the Antichrist army in the battle of Armageddon and usher in His Millennial Kingdom.

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.Matthew 24:9-13

AUSTRALIAN & USA NAVY’S MISSION READINESS

HMA Ship’s Canberra and Adelaide in formation with amphibious landing crafts during Exercise Sea Explorer 2019. Each has 18 helicopters with 6 operating simultaneously from the flight deck.

We know Australia’s defence forces are minimal, particularly the navy. The Melbourne was our last aircraft carrier decommissioned in 1982. HMAS Canberra and Adelaide had the potential to be aircraft carriers but the cost was considered too high so Australia is without this capability. What about our allies? Aside from embarrassing levels of incompetence and corruption, the US Navy’s mission readiness is a major problem. For starters, the Navy is shrinking. The 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) established a policy for the Navy to have “not fewer than 355 battle force ships.” Yet the Navy’s own website says it has roughly “280 ships ready to be deployed.” That’s 20% below the minimum target, which is especially concerning given that the existing vessels are getting old and obsolete.

China’s latest aircraft carrier

The oldest US ship that’s still on active duty— the USS Blue Ridge— was originally commissioned 54 years ago in November 1970. The average destroyer is 20 years old. The average aircraft carrier (the type of vessel that will be absolutely critical in a conflict with China) is 31 years old.

Yet top brass in the Navy intends to continue expanding the lifespan of these ships— while China aggressively grows its fleet with brand new ships, bigger guns, and cutting-edge technology. To make matters worse, US munitions stockpiles are also old and dwindling. And that’s not even getting into the personnel issues in the Navy— including the full-blown recruiting crisis. In short, not enough people, ammunition, ships, and rampant corruption and incompetence… all while a looming adversary continues to grow its fleet and combat capabilities.

Forget about strategic maneuvers while guns are blazing in the heat of battle; lately, the Navy can’t even steer its ships properly on calm waters in broad daylight.

This is about the most humiliating thing that could happen to a naval commander. And yet, a few years ago during a single four-month period, the Navy suffered three completely avoidable collisions, two deadly.

The USS Fitzgerald collided with a container ship off the coast of Japan due to navigational errors and procedural failures, resulting in the deaths of seven US sailors. Two months later, the USS John S. McCain collided with an oil tanker near Singapore due to inadequate training and crew confusion, leading to the deaths of ten US sailors.

There is also clear rot in the highest levels of Navy leadership. For example, in May, federal authorities arrested retired Admiral Robert Burke, former Vice Chief of Naval Operations— the second highest ranking Navy officer— and charged him with bribery offenses. He’s accused of steering lucrative contracts towards a company in exchange for a $500,000 per year job, which he was given when he retired. Ironically, the company offers leadership training. So the corrupt Admiral hired the corrupt company to train the next generation of the Navy’s leadership.

Whoever runs the Navy’s website is also apparently incompetent, because (as of today’s date which is months after his arrest and indictment) Burke’s profile is still live and boasts about his distinguished career.

Aside from embarrassing levels of incompetence and corruption, the Navy’s mission readiness is also a problem. The US Navy has a lot to fix. So what’s their big priority now? Gender inclusivity, of course.

Last week the Navy excitedly announced the launch of its first co-ed submarine— the USS New Jersey, i.e. “Jersey Girl”. That’s literally the nickname. And the Navy called it “a testament to the strength that diversity brings to our Navy,” and, “a symbol of progress, breaking barriers.” The video concludes by saying, “The future of Naval warfare starts here, and it’s more inclusive, stronger, and more capable than ever.”

It’s extraordinary how short-sighted these people are. The future of Naval warfare isn’t “more inclusive”. It’s deadly. It’s bloody. It’s serious business. And it requires serious leaders who understand real-world threats; who can competently develop and execute strategic plans to meet those threats; and who can maximize the value of every dollar they’re given. These people blow through money like, well, drunken sailors. And they demonstrate over and over again that they have no clue about the real challenges that America faces.

This absurd concept of ‘inclusive warfare’ is just the latest example of how Joe Biden’s DEI obsession has set deep and dangerous roots that will continue to harm America for years to come. We can only imagine how much worse this will become if Kamala wins…

Fortunately, Jesus prophesied return to planet Earth is soon so we do not need a Plan B for Australia’s defence force.

JESUS RETURN TO EARTH AS GIVEN IN THE OLIVET DISCOURSE

Baruch is the senior lecturer at the Zera Avraham Institute based in Israel. He holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was on the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.

Baruch teaches on Jesus’ return based on the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24. He correctly warns Christians that during the end times, they will face tribulation. Jesus tells us that just as Daniel prophesied (Daniel 11:31) Christians will see the abomination of desolation (Antichrist) in the temple. They will experience persecution metered out by the Antichrist but they will be kept from the wrath of God that is poured out with the Trumpet (Revelation 8 & 9) and Bowl (Revelation 16) judgements.

UNDERSTANDING THE DAY OF THE LORD

The phrase “Day of the Lord” usually identifies events that take place at the end of history (Isaiah 7:18-25) and is often closely associated with the phrase “that day.” One key to understanding these phrases is to note that they always identify a period during which God personally intervenes in history, directly or indirectly, to accomplish some specific aspect of His plan particularly Jesus second coming and a time when God will pour out His wrath upon the unrepentant as He did with Noah’s flood.

But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Luke 21:34-35

For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:38-39

But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.Matthew 24:43-44

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!” 2 Peter 3:10-12

For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. (“Behold, I am coming like a thief!Revelation 16:14-15

The Old Testament passages dealing with the day of the Lord often convey a sense of imminence, nearness, and expectation: “Wail, for the day of the Lord is near!” (Isaiah 13:6); “For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near” (Ezekiel 30:3); “Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand” (Joel 2:1); “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision” (Joel 3:14); “Be silent before the Lord God! For the day of the Lord is near” (Zephaniah 1:7). This is because the Old Testament passages referring to the day of the Lord often speak of both a near and a far fulfillment, as does much of Old Testament prophecy. Some Old Testament passages that refer to the day of the Lord describe historical judgments that have already been fulfilled in some sense (Isaiah 13:6-22Ezekiel 30:2-19Joel 1:153:14Amos 5:18-20Zephaniah 1:14-18), while others refer to divine judgments that will take place toward the end of the age (Joel 2:30-32Zechariah 14:1Malachi 4:15).

The New Testament passages call it a day of “wrath,” a day of “visitation,” and the “great day of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:14) and refers to a still future fulfillment when God’s wrath is poured out on unbelieving Israel (Isaiah 22Jeremiah 30:1-17Joel 1-2Amos 5Zephaniah 1) and on the unbelieving world (Ezekiel 38–39Zechariah 14). The Scriptures indicate that “the Day of the Lord” will come quickly, like a thief in the night (Zephaniah 1:14-151 Thessalonians 5:2), and therefore Christians must be watchful and ready for the coming of Christ at any moment.

Besides being a time of judgment, it will also be a time of salvation as God will deliver the remnant of Israel, fulfilling His promise that “all of Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26), forgiving their sins and restoring His chosen people to the land He promised to Abraham (Isaiah 10:27; Jeremiah 30:19-31, 40; Micah 4Zechariah 13). The final outcome of the day of the Lord will be that “the arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day” (Isaiah 2:17). The ultimate or final fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the day of the Lord will come at the end of history when God, with wondrous power, will punish evil and fulfill all His promises.
