WHO CONTROLS THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD

Adam’s God-given role

When God created the world, He stated that mankind would “have dominion” over God’s creation (Genesis 1:2628). The first man was Adam, and so Adam was head of the human race. God’s relationship to Adam was, in effect, that of Supreme Commander (God) to Executive Officer (Adam). And in the expression and demonstration of this relationship, God required Adam to obey one command that God had given him, i.e., not to eat from one specified tree in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:16–17).

Adam’s first task in his executive role was to give names to the animals that God brought to him “to see what he would call them” (Genesis 2:19–20). However, after Satan had persuaded Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, Adam chose to do so also. As this involved disobeying God’s one command to him, Adam thereby surrendered and transferred his homage and allegiance from God to Satan, becoming in effect, Satan’s vassal. Since then, Satan has operated as “ruler of this world” (John 12:31), albeit within the boundaries that God has set for him (cf. Job 1:122:6Luke 22:31).

Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:31

Satan was therefore able to claim to Christ that the kingdoms of the world were now his (i.e., Satan’s), and that he gives them to whomsoever he wills, and Christ did not dispute or deny these claims. In fact, Jesus referred to Satan as “the god of this world” (John 12:3114:3016:11); and the Apostle Paul similarly wrote concerning Satan that “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

So, is this relevant today in our 21st-century world culture? And if so, how?

The kingdom of academia

Most of the universities in Europe and North America were founded by Christian individuals or the Christian Church and proclaimed the Bible. Notable early universities for which this applied were those at Bologna (1088), Paris (1150), Oxford (1167), Cambridge (1209), Padua (1222), Naples (1224), and Edinburgh (1583), plus many others. Theology was regarded as ‘the queen of the sciences’, and instruction was usually in Latin.

Likewise, most of the renowned universities in America, including Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Columbia, Princeton, and Brown, were founded as religious institutions by various church denominations or ministers.

With the passing of time, and the long-since death of the founders of these places of learning, together with the emergence of long-ageism, most universities have abandoned their Christian heritage, and become bulwarks of secularism. As such, they now teach naturalistic theories such as evolution as fact, and the big bang as the creator of the universe.

Why? The answer brings us back to the quote from the Bible in our opening paragraph. Universities, with their teaching, research, and scholarship are components of the kingdom of academia. If Satan controls this kingdom and gives it to whomsoever he pleases, we should not be surprised to see non-believers in university positions of prestige, and in control of what is taught therein.

There are many educators and scientists who have been denied tenure or fired from their academic positions for their belief in the evidence of design in nature. This is because such a belief challenges the godless idea that life is a result of random chance and evolution. A number of such cases have been documented in the 2008 movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed and Jerry Bergman’s book Slaughter of the Dissidents.

God’s defeat of Satan

However, God has not lost ultimate control of His world, nor of the kingdom of academia. When Adam and Eve sinned, God’s word to Satan was: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:15). This verse was God’s promise of the coming and ultimate victory of Jesus. It has been called the proto-evangelium, meaning ‘the first (or earliest) Gospel’. Concerning this verse, Charles Spurgeon wrote: “This is the first gospel sermon that was ever delivered upon the surface of the earth … with Jehovah Himself for the preacher, and the whole human race and the prince of darkness for the audience.”

The Lord Jesus Christ is this promised “offspring” of Eve. He, the Son of God, came “to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). When Jesus died on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rose again, He defeated Satan’s power over all who believe in Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote (concerning believers who are truly “in Christ”) that God has “forgiven us all our trespasses, by cancelling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14). Satan’s accusations and claims of dominion are thus no longer valid against Christian believers, in the light of God’s forgiveness.

Christians, released from the power of Satan in their lives, are called to be light in the darkness (Ephesians 5:8). There are many Christian university professors and students, as well as Christian scientists, who are currently performing this mission (despite the opposition referred to above).

SIGN OF THE ANTICHRIST: AMERICA’S FUTURE IS IN THE BALANCE

Jonathan Cahn reveals Antichrist spirit at Kamala Harris rally. The Lordship of Christ; King Jesus is not welcome at the Democrat rally. In fact Jesus was mocked. The two young men who acknowledged Jesus as Lord and King were quickly escorted from the building. Kamala even told them that their rally was the smaller one, the Trump rally down the road.

JESUS WILL BE KING OF ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS OF THIS WORLD

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.Isaiah 9:6-7

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:31-33

Ought you not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingship over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?2 Chronicles 13:5

David’s dominion is to last forever. David is the king who will rule over Israel after its restoration under the Messiah after His return to earth (Ezekiel 37:21-24). David’s rule, of course, can occur only after God resurrects David with all the other saints at the return of Christ.

This is what The prophet Nathan told David:

When your days are fulfilled to walk with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. I will not take my steadfast love from him, as I took it from him who was before you, but I will confirm him in my house and in my kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever.’” 1 Chronicles 17:11-14

And I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and be disturbed no more.” 1 Chronicles 17:9

The kingdom God established through David was a forerunner of a much more important Kingdom Jesus Christ will establish in the future with David as His 2IC.

God claimed David’s kingdom as “My kingdom”— a type, an example, or a forerunner, of the coming Kingdom of God. Comprehending the relationship between David’s temporal kingdom and the eternal Kingdom of God is crucial to understanding the gospel Christ and His apostles preached.

When Solomon, David’s son, became king, on whose throne did he sit? “Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father . . .” 1 Chronicles 29:23

I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed” Daniel 7:13-14

Not only did God regard Israel as His temporal kingdom, He regarded the throne of Israel as His throne— the throne Jesus Christ will inherit (Luke 1:32).

Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.Luke 1: 30-33

Did Jesus acknowledge He was born to be a king?

“‘You are a king, then!’ said Pilate. Jesus answered, ‘You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason, I was born, and for this, I came into the world . . .'” John 18:37

From the beginning of Christ’s earthly ministry, He focused on the Kingdom of God. He was continuing the message proclaimed by Daniel and the other prophets. Throughout His ministry, He repeatedly used the words king and kingdom to explain the good news He preached. At Jesus second coming He will usher in His Millennial Kingdom. That is what is next for this Earth. It has had six thousand years with Satan as its leader, it will now have one thousand years with Jesus ruling the nations with a rod of iron and the resurrected Saints ruling with Him.

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.Revelation 19:15-16

KING JESUS REIGNS ON THIS EARTH

Is Jesus enthroned in your life? Is allegiance to King Jesus central to your life? If not, then it is unlikely you will rule and reign with Jesus in His Millennial Kingdom.

An important and neglected part of the Gospel Message is Jesus return to this earth to fulfill the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants and the prophecies of the O.T. prophets that has Israel’s Messiah ruling and reigning over all the nations of the earth from a totally renovated/restructured Jerusalem. How many pastors are talking about the need for Christians to prepare now to rule and reign with Jesus on this earth.

“Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.Revelation 5:9-10

Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

Moreover, Jesus and the Saints will need to rule with a rod of iron even though we are told Satan is bound for one thousand years . The curse has not been lifted off this earth. This earth still has one thousand years of existence in its fallen state before it is finally destroyed with fire. Jesus will rule and reign on this earth for one thousand years and then the unthinkable happens Satan is released and he gathers an enormous army from those who are living under the reign of King Jesus and His Saints to come against them. It is not a battle, fire comes down from heaven and destroys them. Even with Jesus and the Saints ruling on this earth in what must seem like paradise in comparison to today people will still rebel against God reigning over them just as Satan and one third of the angels did.

This earth and heaven is then destroyed and what follows is the second resurrection of the dead, the White Throne Judgement and only then a New Heaven and Earth where sin/rebellion is no more along with no more pain, suffering and death.

Ruling with a rod of iron in Jesus Millennial Kingdom

The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.” Revelation 2:27

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron.” Revelation 19:15-18

What will life be like in the Millennial Kingdom? Does God reveal in His Word what it will be like? Yes He does, and I will be revealing much of it on this website as I believe this is what God has called me to do with the final years He has allocated for me on His Earth. I am presently working on a new website http://www.millennialkingdom.net where House Church leaders in particular will be able to access PowerPoint sermons and videos on the Millennial Kingdom.

To encourage you to search God’s Word for information on the Millennial reign of Jesus on this earth, we will take a look at what the Scriptures say about the new Jerusalem. Did you know the entire world will be restructured when the wrath of God is poured out with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements? Did you know that the new Jerusalem will be on the highest mountain in the world?

The cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.Revelation 16:19-20

It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,” Isaiah 2:2

It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it,” Micah 4:1

It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,” Isaiah 2:2

The mountain’s great height emphasizes Jerusalem as the centre of world authority, for all the nations will flow to it.

The millennial Jerusalem is nine times larger than the current city.

Jerusalem – A new city, A new name – The Lord is There, A new Temple

The temple is located outside the city, in the northern section of the sacred land given to the priests and it alone is bigger than the current city of Jerusalem.

The millennial Jerusalem sits on the highest plateau and has two rivers flowing out of its east and west sides. A totally new construct.

The land surrounding Jerusalem will have been transformed into a plain. It will run from Geba in the north to Rimmon in the South. The plain will contrast with the then highly lifted Jerusalem. (Zechariah 14:10)

Geba and Rimmon/Beersheba marking respectively the northern and southern limits of Millennial Israel. (2 Kings 23:8)

I hope the above has encouraged you to do your own research: Isaiah and Ezekiel are replete with information on the Millennial Kingdom. You will note that I have quoted from Isaiah, Ezekiel, Micah, Revelation Zechariah and 2 Kings in the above post. I will be posting more on the Millennial Kingdom in the months ahead as the “end times” prophesied events continue to play out.

DOES YOUR HOPE IN GOD INCLUDE A LAVISH BANQUET?

“The Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on the mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, and refined, aged wine.” Isaiah 25:6

In Judaism, there would be no Jewish faith without food and wine, as it plays a central role in the weekly and annual biblical celebrations. Food and wine are spiritual elements first rooted deep in the soil of Israel. From the time of Abraham, food and wine have played an integral role in covenants and Temple offerings.

The Bible prophesies about food and wine and it is only a foretaste of what’s to come as shown in this verse from Isaiah.

Wine is one of the oldest biblical foods, and Israel has been producing it longer than anyone. After the great flood, Noah first planted vineyards, and wine is one of the elements of Shabbat, Passover and Sukkot. Just as wine is a blessing from the Lord, it is also an expression of gratitude and joy. It’s customary for people in Israel to raise a glass and say, “L’Chaim!!” (meaning, “To Life!!”) before drinking wine. Consider that during Passover, wine is the central element of a Jewish family Seder. The four cups enjoyed at the Seder represent the cup of sanctification to set Passover apart as a holy celebration, the cup of plagues to remember God’s judgements, the cup of blessing for Freedom from slavery and the cup of the coming Messianic kingdom. Exodus 6:6-7

“I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they will plant vineyards and drink their wine, they will make gardens and eat their fruit.” Amos 9:14

Israel, the light to the nations, is the only place on earth where God’s redemptive plan begins and ends through a specific place and a specific people but available to all of mankind. Jesus will return to rule and reign the nations from a restored Jerusalem.

The only thing better than standing united with Israel is standing in Israel—a living, breathing miracle of restoration as promised in the Bible.

Is your future hope as tangible as participating in a lavish banquet with Jesus and to serve Him as He rules and reigns the nations from Jerusalem during the Millennium.

RESTORE THE GLORY OF GOD

What the church needs most right now are God-appointed leaders who are jealous for His glory.

Years after Samuel’s ministry was established, David rose to restore the glory of God back to its rightful place (see 2 Sam. 6).

‘Now, O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever and do as You have said. So let Your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel.’ And let the house of Your servant David be established before You.’ 2 Samuel 7 :25

When God-appoints men to leadership, their first agenda is to make sure the glory of the Lord is restored and dwells where it belongs.

The ark did not belong in the Philistine camp, Abinadab’s house or Obed-Edom’s house (see 2 Sam. 6). It belonged in the temple of the Lord. David gathered all the choice men in Israel with an eagerness and a zeal to restore that which was lost.

I believe the highest priority on God’s heart for 2018 and beyond is the restoration of His glory in His church.

True leaders are always seeking to find grace in God’s sight, and like Moses, they will not lead without the presence of God.

The greatest concern of a godly leader is for the church to be separated from the world and wholly consecrated to God. A true leader’s longing and desire is to see the glory of God and have it restored among His people (Ex. 33:15-18).

It is not popularity, bigger buildings, increased attendance and more money that has priority in the hearts of godly leaders. It is the glory!

Men who live close to the heart of God know that it is only His glory that will change everything.

It’s time for the glory, the manifested presence of God, to return to our churches, our personal lives, our homes, our thinking, our conversation and our conduct. The glory of God will break us from going through the motions, and make everything new, fresh and alive again.

Here are some mindset changes we must make to recover the true glory of God:

  1. Don’t be impressed by the trappings of the production of the church and fooled by its big names and big conferences.

Elaborate buildings, large numbers of people and an increasing flow of cash have fooled much of the modern church. The church did not begin with that focus, and yet somehow, modern church principles have put the emphasis on attendance, buildings and cash.

Another meeting, another offering, another song, another convention, another banquet, another special speaker, another concert, another project, another program … and so ‘church life’ continues, but the changed life remains scarce. If the horse is healthy, the cart will be pulled. If the horse is unhealthy, making the cart more attractive is useless.” —Roy Farias

I’m afraid there is a large gap separating the culture of the modern Western church from the heart of God as revealed through Jesus in the Gospels and through the early church.

How do you convince a believer that what they have is a counterfeit if they’ve never witnessed the real? I’m afraid so much of it is New Age gobbledygook and psycho-babble tainted with false motives and a desire for filthy lucre at the root of our agenda. We have so irreverently cheapened and merchandised God’s sacred gifts and grieved the precious Spirit of God. Let’s stop this mess! This is not Kabod (the heavy glory). This is Ichabod—further evidence that the glory has departed.

Holy is the Lord.

  1. Restore the culture of the kingdom of God.

The sad truth is that in much of the church world, the culture of the kingdom of God has been lost to the culture of hype, greed, religious politics, a Hollywood Jesus and the professional business of the church to such an extent that many churches resemble a political machine or a corporation more than God’s culture.

God’s culture begins with the family, the home, making disciples through life relationships, reaching and caring for others with the gospel and the love of God.

The true disciples of Jesus are losing their taste for the shallow and superficial, and are separating themselves from those entangled in the appearance of spirituality. Many people have become disenchanted with the church because of hurt, misuse and abuse, religious politics and leadership caught up in the things of the flesh. People are looking for depth in the Word and in their relationships, a free-flowing move of the Spirit, personal empowerment and leadership that does not play political games.

Word received by John Fenn, World Wide House Church Network.

“See what I see, many small churches and ministries investing in relationships, walking in love, pouring their lives into each other; this is where the Spirit is moving today. There is a revolution taking place in my body, a revolution of relationships, discipleship and love. This will affect whole communities and economies.

See what I see, many churches all over the world in which people are accountable to one another, working through conflicts, walking in love and growing as my disciples. That is where my Spirit is moving today.

Many are running to and fro asking, ‘Where is the next move; what is the next season of the Spirit?’ And I say to you that it is under their very noses. They stumble at the supernatural work in their midst and refuse to humble themselves and be taught because they seek the sensational and that which appeals to the outward man. They fail to recognize the true move of God because it must be spiritually discerned. —John Fenn

  1. Return to the preaching and practice of the cross.

The cross-less gospel is the greatest lack in Western Christianity today and the reason for many of the church’s failures and the biggest reason why it is becoming increasingly difficult in many places of the world to tell the difference between a real Christian and non-Christian.  Listen to the following quote from a hero of the faith who knew God deeply and experienced His glory:

“The way into the glory is through the flesh being torn away from the world and separated unto God.” — Smith Wigglesworth

I believe God’s promises are true, and I am all for instilling hope in people, but sometimes the best thing the church can hear are the warnings, rebukes and roadblocks of what is actually hindering revival, the glory of God and His promises from coming to pass.

There is a new gospel and new so-called national prophets—really, wolves in sheep’s clothing. The false prophets Jesus warned would lead many astray in the last days. They speak peace to all those who have itching ears for something new and exotic and they cause them to trust in a lie, and subtly supplant within their hearts rebellion against the Lord (Jer. 28:15-16).

JESUS – YOUR GREAT NAME (Lyric video by Todd Dulaney)

After so many posts on end times prophecies, all of which indicate Christians will have their faith tested during the tribulation prophesied by many of the O.T. prophets, particularly Daniel and in Revelation, I thought I should include this video of Todd Dulaney rendering POWER IN YOUR NAME. I was inspired and reminded of the following verse of Scripture which clearly shows that at the soon coming of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all He created. I should acknowledge Emeka Ofili’s website which is where I saw the YOUR GREAT NAME video.

“God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” 2 Philippians 2:9-11
