GOD ESTABLISHED THE ROLES FOR MEN & WOMEN

A great article appeared in The Washington Stand by Joshua Arnold: Lead, Provide, Protect: An Urgent Call for Godly Men. I have taken excerpts from it

Lead, provide, protect. That’s what God created men to do. Our society has other ideas, to its own disadvantage and disgrace. But the best counter to the culture is for men to step up and embrace their God-given identity and role.

Today, “boys are penalized … for being boys,” Owen Strachan, senior fellow for Family Research Council’s Center for Biblical Worldview, declared on “Washington Watch” last week. “Boys hear, ‘Don’t be strong’ and ‘Don’t want to be … a traditional man. … You’re not really good the way you are as a boy. You should be more like a girl.’ … Nothing could be worse for boys than that.”

This propaganda — blasted out by every mainstream institution from schools to Hollywood — applies half a century of radical feminist ideology. Radical feminists of the late 20th century argued for abolishing all differences between men and women. They demanded absolute equality in the academy and the workplace. They demanded utter sexual libertinism, endorsing promiscuity, childlessness, and the dissolution of the marriage bond, in imitation of their mistaken caricature of masculinity. They demanded freedom from their own reproductive biology (through birth control and abortion), again in an attempt to reproduce a false version of masculinity.

Ironically, as radical feminists tried to become like men in every way, they also insisted that men become more like women. “There are all sorts of traits associated with good things in Scripture that in today’s culture — among woke, leftist, pagan thought — are very bad things,” said Strachan. “So, if you take risks today if you’re assertive if you speak up in groups if you might dare to ever correct a woman in public … if you like competitive sports, if you like watching World War II movies, you better get out your blanket and hide in the closet because they’re coming for you.” This attitude nurtures men “against their nature,” he added, “against their wiring, because now they’re being told, ‘Don’t be what you naturally want to be.”

Because of his death on the cross, we who believe in him are redeemed from the futility of our dead works and restored to a right relationship with God. In his sacrificial example, we have a model to imitate (1 Corinthians 11:1), especially those of us who are husbands (Ephesians 5:25). “Our ability to fulfill our God-given responsibilities as men is not because of virtue within us,” said Strachan, but “because of God’s grace in us that summons us to wake up and to be not just a man for ourselves, not just an adult in terms of age, but to be a man who lays down his life for others to whatever extent is necessary.”

Lead, provide, protect. This is what God designed me to do, and it’s more necessary than ever in our fallen, messed-up world. It’s especially important for families, the building blocks of society. “If you build fathers, you build the family and you build the society,” Strachan stated. “If you break fathers, you break the family. If you break the family, you break the society.”

Lead, provide, protect. That’s the role of a godly man. The world has always sought to tear down, trip up, or otherwise neutralize godly leaders, and that’s especially true of our culture, which has embraced an anti-biblical, anti-masculine ideology. “Of course, a Christian is going to say, ‘You’re only going to be truly strong when you recognize your weakness and your need for Jesus Christ,’” Strachan granted. “Nonetheless, in Scripture, in case after case, (David to Solomon or the Lord God to Joshua), there’s a call to courage, and there’s a call to strength, and that is what boys need.”

We need men who, in the face of worldly opposition and devilish temptation, will heed this call:

“Be strong, and show yourself a man, and keep the charge of the Lord your God” 1 Kings 2:2-3

ANTHROPOLOGICAL SOCIETY: “There Is No Single Biological Standard” for Male and Female

This is perhaps not a statement you would expect from two leading anthropological associations: “There is no single biological standard by which all humans can be reliably sorted into a binary male/female sex classification.”

There certainly is a “biological standard” for sex—even if you just have a skeleton! So why would this group of scientists make such an anti-scientific claim?

Well, because “There is no place for transphobia in anthropology.” It’s all political! Yes, concerns of “transphobia” when dealing with anthropological remains caused a panel discussion on the skeletal differences between males and females to be canceled (and the organizers assured everyone that better vetting would be done in the future to make sure sessions like this aren’t booked again!). Here’s why the session was canceled, according to Fox News:

“The session was rejected because it [was] framed in ways that do harm to vulnerable members of our community. It commits one of the cardinal sins of scholarship—it assumes the truth of the proposition that it sets out to prove, namely, that sex and gender are simplistically binary, and that this is a fact with meaningful implications for the discipline,” the AAA told FOX News Digital.

It further said that anthropologists should not strive to identify sex conclusively and that such determinations were merely an “estimation.”

“Around the world and throughout human history, there have always been people whose gender roles do not align neatly with their reproductive anatomy. There is no single biological standard by which all humans can be reliably sorted into a binary male/female sex classification,” the AAA continued.

One of the speakers who was scheduled to attend the conference claims that “the field has been nose-diving into an ‘off the rails’ agenda.” She says, so just as we are getting better and better at identifying what is male and what is a female and the skeletal record, we are getting more and more attacked for knowing how to do this. . . . 

Truth is not necessarily considered an objective goal and the victims’ narrative is more important than facts. Who tells the story is more important than the data, which we obviously know is not true.

This is madness and is just another one of the end times signs the Bible gives us to warn us about the persecution/tribulation that is coming on born-again believers who will not compromise with God’s Word on issues such as gay marriage, homosexuality, transgenderism, family, and any other of God’s commandments.

GOD ORDAINED MALE AND FEMALE

The truth is, if someone is born with XX chromosomes, she can never be “he.” And someone born with XY chromosomes can never truly be “she.”

This does not mean we ignore the very real pain and struggle experienced by those who live with gender dysphoria, feeling as if they are trapped in the wrong body.

The famed author of the “Harry Potter” book series drew the ire of the internet’s social justice warriors when she dared to bring up facts: the immutable nature of sex as male and female, exclusively.

Rowling made a logical case, pointing out the glaringly obvious. “If sex isn’t real,” she wrote in part, “the lived reality of women globally is erased.”

“I refuse to bow down to a movement that I believe is doing demonstrable harm in seeking to erode ‘woman’ as a political and biological class and offering cover to predators like few before it.” — Rowling

And like clockwork, the pile-on commenced. Vicious dissenters quickly pounced on the 54-year-old author, calling her “a transphobic bigot” using her platform “to attack a vulnerable minority.”

Never mind the fact that even some transgender people — members of the very crowd Rowling is presumably offending — agreed with the award-winning novelist. Dr. Debbie Hayton, a transgender-identified female, said many in her community “appreciate” Rowling’s “courage in speaking out against an authoritarian ideology that oppresses women, gay people and trans people.” “We need to return to reality,” added Hayton. “Sex is real and it is immutable.”

According to Scripture, there is no distinction between those who believe in Jesus. The apostle Paul said, “There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). Yet there still remains distinct values to the male and female experiences. Paul’s words eliminated all societal hierarchies: a Gentile didn’t cease to be a Gentile; rather, once a believer, she became an equal heir to Christ as Paul, a Jewish man. The same is true of sex — whether male or female, we who are in Christ are all given unencumbered access to the Gospel. Our divine differences, though, remain.

God, through science, intended there to be two sexes in His image (Genesis 1:27). And because we’re not God, we can’t change that — no matter how hard we try or how many facts we ignore.
