KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

MISSION TRIP  TO  LONDIANI, KENYA NOVEMBER 2nd – 9th.

Report by Pastor Charles Owino:

We safely arrived Londiani Tuesday afternoon November 2nd. We were welcomed by Pastor Omwenga and the eight members of the house church. In the evening, after opening prayers, we held our first market place meeting.

PREACHING & TEACHING MEETINGS:
We were  able to conduct indoor and outdoor meetings at different locations ministering to many people. God did mighty works through us in all our meetings, many people believed and surrendered their lives to Christ, and were baptized.
INDOOR MEETINGS:
Many people turned up to our house meetings to hear the gospel message. Many were moved by the Gospel message and nine people opened their hearts to Jesus Christ, believed and repented from their sins and were baptised. One of these was a young man who gave his life to Lord Jesus Christ, he repented and later testified of his past sinful deeds as a thug. He is pictured both being prayed for and giving his testimony to the group.

Two women who admitted to being prostitutes upon hearing our gospel message, stepped forward, knelt down to receive prayer, the two women believed and repented from their sins, and later gave their testimonies.

Testimony given by Dorcas Awino:
“After completion of secondary school, I walked out of my family and moved to Kericho to get a job, after six months of failing to get a job, I was persuaded by my closest girl friend to  join her in prostitution. We would stay in the house all day, but at night, we would stand along the streets, half naked in bikkini shorts. Men took us to large bars, there we would  drink beer and dance discos and later these men would take us to the lodgings for all night sex. I thank God today for touching my life, I decided to surrender my life to Jesus Christ, and start living my life for Him. I now believe I’m his child forever, loved, washed clean by his shed blood. And His joy and strength is now in my life forever.

Healings and Deliverance:

Men and women who were demon possed we’re healed and delivered. As pictured Mrs Odhiambo with elephantiasis was not healed immediately but two weeks after we got a report from her husband who is a village elder and from the daughter that she is healed and pain free. (I will ask Charles to get a picture of her healed leg.)

A NEW HOUSE CHURCH FOUNDED:
As a result of the work done through us by God in this region of Londiani, a new house church of eight members was birthed. This new young house church will be under elder Gedion, but he will  be helped and strengthened by pastor Omwenga of Ogembo House Church, and this will continue until brother Gedion become strong and fully built up and mature in the faith such that he can stand alone with the church.

FORTHCOMING KHC MISSION TRIP,  NOVEMBER 26TH – 30TH:

WHAT IS GOD’S CALL ON YOUR LIFE?

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.” John 15:16-17

The following testimony from Joseph Kazembe from Malawi shows he is a chosen one, who has obeyed God’s command to go and bear fruit. Joseph is part of a new youth ministry, yOUT that has reached over 1,400 young people already in one year! yOUT leads them to not only the best gift of all — Jesus Christ— but also helps them discover His call on each of their lives.

Pastor Jeff Daly explains: “YOUT sprung up under our repentance ministry, national day of repentance (http://www.dayofrepentance1.org). We focus on teaching Matthew 4:17 and then John 15:16 giving each young person the unique calling on their life. All Christian denominations are included:  we give each participant a banner bearing simply “JEHOVAH NISSI”
We believe this new “wine skin” is directly from Him in these end times and He started in the very impoverished nation of Malawi to show that it is from HIM alone!”

Joseph Kazembe has left a significant position and salary in a major denomination to travel, sometimes on foot, to deliver the Gospel message all throughout Malawi. Here is his most recent email.
“Today is July 31st, we are believing God for great testimonies from young people this coming month. God continues to show us the importance of this ministry. Young people need hope, just a few minutes ago l received a message from Mathew, one of our translators, that his brother killed himself this morning by suicide. Apart from that many young people are catching Covid 19 and dying. This third wave is killing many young people. Let’s pray for Mathew too in his time of trouble. I am writing to remind the team to pray for our budget for Mchisi. We have only 6 days to go and we still need to book accomodation in Chikondi ,Hamidah and Henderson. Prayer moves the hearts of people to do something l thank you all for your prayers. Printing of additional repentance route booklets is needed as many pastors needs the booklet in Mchisi.”
Joseph Kazembe

As many of you know I support the Kenya House Church Movement in Kenya and have been seeking donations to fund new Missional trips and for Bibles for the new House Churches that are being established in these new regions. Here is another request for funds this time for repentance route booklets for Malawi. If you would like to help you can use the Donations icon on the Home Page. I would also appreciate an email to ron@bakb.com.au to let me know how you would like to be involved, e.g. I connect with the KHC leaders every 3 months by Zoom. It would be good to have other supporters join the Zoom meetings.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT IN NEED OF BIBLES

I have helped the Kenya House Church Movement for two years now particularly to move outside of the Migori region. As a result, House Churches have been set up in Ogembo in Kisii, Lidha in Nyatike and Nyamuzi in Tanzania.

The most recent was a return trip last month to Lidha in Nyatike County. Lidha is a beachside town on the shores of Lake Victoria. Nyatike is a sub county within the region of Migori.

Charles and his leadership team were invited back to Lidha by Mr Daniel Odhiambo and his team. Daniel had been appointed leader of the new House Church Group that Charles, and the leaders that had accompanied him, had set up on their previous trip to the county.

The pressing need is for bibles for these newly established House Churches in all three regions. If you would like to join me in supporting the growth of House Churches in Kenya you can do so by clicking on the Donations icon on the Home Page.

CHARLES TRIP REPORT

“We were delighted by the reception we received from Daniel and the other members of the House Church.

We had successful indoor and outdoor meetings.
INDOORS- we conducted several indoor meetings delivering the gospel message to those who came to our Tent Meetings.
God through the Holy spirit gave us power and authority to cast out demons from people who were possessed by evil spirits. There was a young lady brought into our meeting who had suffered at the hands of a magician and witch doctor. Her parents told us that she had been possessed by demonic spirits for two years. She had been in year three at school at the time and was unable to continue with her schooling. We prayed for her and by the power of the Holy spirit she was delivered from several demons.

Later, we were able to teach her the word of God, she repented and believed in the name of Jesus Christ. We also found out that she had been introduced to witchcraft by a girl friend.
OUTDOORS  – Everyday, our evangelism team went out taking the gospel message to different homes, beaches and  small islands. They were able to meet people at their places of business, teaching and sharing with them the gospel message and praying with them.
Reaching them at their place of business was the best method of meeting them ,since the people living around the  lake are mostly fishermen, fishing is the main economic activity in this area so much of their time is spent on the lake and at the beach selling the produce from the lake.
Thankfully, we were able to meet many who were receptive to our gospel message.
God was on our side with the power of the Holy spirit present, convicting the hearts of many to believe our message and come to repentance. It resulted in many being saved in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thankfully, the Holy spirit strengthened us all until we finished our five days mission. No one fell ill or felt weary.
The stand out achievement of the trip was the birth of a new House Church at Lidha  It consists of six people and will be mentored by the leader of the other House church, Daniel Odhiambo.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT MISSION TRIP TO KISII

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES

A wide door was open to our team and a warm reception was accorded to us by Mr Omwenga and his team. when we visited them at Ogembo in the Kisii region. God’s grace and favour was upon us granting peace and safety as we ministered to Kisii village administrators and local residents.
MEETINGS:
We held our indoor and out door meetings peacefully. This was answer to prayer as we had opposition on our previous trip. Our evangelism teams were able to go out most days visiting homes to pray and share the word of God with those who couldn’t come to our Central place of meeting. Gladly, all teams were able to report back with positive messages and good testimonies.
MIRACLES, SIGNS & WONDERS:
Led by elder Samson and pastor Jacob, our team entered the  home of Mr Nyakakundi, this family had been involved in a land dispute, which previously had caused intense conflict and even death amongst family members. Our team members were able to share the word of God, pray with them, and with the help of the Holy spirit they were able to forgive each other and we’re reconciled. Despite the fact that the case was already before the high court judge, they resolved to withdraw the case and settle it out of court.

In the house of Mr Odondi, our team ministered to a sick woman who was seriously bitten and injured  by a rogue dog. She was at the point of being taken to a medical facility, but before the ambulance arrived, Alfred and his team turned up, they prayed for her, she vomited and was instantly healed. She was praising God when the ambulance arrived. She later repented, believed and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour.
In one of our tent meetings, a woman under the influence of witchcraft heard our gospel message. She repented, surrendered herself to Jesus as her Saviour and Lord. She knew instantly what she had to do. She went home and brought all her items of witchcraft back to the meeting to be destroyed as a witness to all present.
On another day, our team visited a health facility, and upon entering, they met a woman who had a severe leg wound, was sufferings from strong pain, and couldn’t walk. She was prayed for and later testified the pain was gone. Subsequently, she also gave her life to Jesus Christ .
On one occasion, led by pastor Charles and Seth, we were able to minister to a few men and women under trees. We shared with them the gospel message and prayed with them, and many believed in the name of Jesus Christ.
In many of our meetings, we were able to minister to both the sick and people with disabilities where many were healed. Amazing testimonies were shared and much praise given to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We had a wonderful and blessed trip for which we were all very thankful. We were also humbled as the Holy Spirit was present with healing miracles, signs and wonders. The birth of a new church group in Ogembo village, Kisii was a highlight.
A NEW HOUSE CHURCH BIRTHED:
The new home group comprises eight people. We are praying and trusting God to provide this new church group with copies of Holy Bibles.
APPRECATION:
I want to give my thanks and appreciation to Brother Ron Edwards and the LEN team, together with the  KHC leaders, this is for your prayers and financial  support you have offered and provided to our movement.
Your prayers and support has so much contributed greatly to the growth of KHC movement. And without you, our movement wouldn’t have reached out beyond Migori, and we would not have managed to fulfil our call of making disciples.

I do hope that some of my followers will join me in supporting the Kenya House Church Movement with a small monthly donation. I will keep you informed of where they money is spent and you can join me on Zoom meetings with the KHC leaders. To do so go to the Donations icon on the Home Page. If you want more information email me on ron@bakb.com.au.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCHES MISSION TRIP

FORTHCOMING MISSION TRIP TO KISII  REGION ON 14TH -18TH JULY, 2021

God opened the door for us in this region as a result of a previous trip by pastors, Charles, Maurice and Jacob. Two House churches were established: one in BUEMBU and the other in KARUNGU.

Maps showing Kisii in relation to Migori where Charles is based

A special invitation has been on our desk now for 2 months, wanting us to take our discipleship ministry back there.
After repeated prayers seeking direction and leading from God, we feel led by the Holy spirit to visit this region on July 14th-18th, so that we may fulfil our Macedonian call “come over here and help us”

The need and request was received from five Christian brothers who live in the region, one of which is an ex Muslim.
In our last meeting, we resolved to raise Kshs 67,000/ approx. Au$ 658. Until now, the leaders and KHC believers have raised a total of Kshs 37,000 which is not enough. Hence, the KHC movement and the board of  elders is requesting our friends, LEN and  partners in the work of ministry to help fund our trip with the remaining amount of money of Kshs 30,000/ approx. Au$ 380. Your support for KHC movement will be highly appreciated and will be for God’s glory!
Yours,
Leader & Founder KHC movement.
Charles.

I have been blessed to be able to assist the KHC Movement for sometime now and will continue to do so. I am a pensioner now so am limited in what I can do. I would appreciate any LEN follower out there who feels led to join me in supporting the KHC Movement. You can do so by making a donation on the Donation link on the Home Page.

LIKE PAUL & HARRY, WE NEED TO ASK, WHAT SHALL I DO, LORD?

So I said, “What shall I do, Lord?” And the Lord said to me, “Arise and go….”  Acts 22:10

In his autobiography, Our Incredible Journey, Word of Life co-founder Harry Bollback and his wife, Millie, wrote about their years of missionary service in Brazil, where they lived in very primitive circumstances. “Living under these conditions was truly difficult,” Harry wrote. “But neither of us thought of it as being hard at the time. We had made a decision to serve the Lord, and we were just doing what we thought the Lord would have us do. We were enjoying the good hand of God’s blessings.”

In Acts 22, the apostle Paul recounted his conversion for the Jewish Ruling Counsel. He told them of the light that blinded him on the Damascus Road, and he recounted the two questions he asked God: “Who are You, Lord?” (verse 8) and “What shall I do, Lord?” (verse 10)

When we come to Christ for salvation, we need to ask, “What do You want me to do?” Then, we just need to have a submissive spirit to His guidance, and He’ll use us in ways beyond our expectation.

I’m convinced that when you are serving the Lord, there is never a question of sacrifice. It’s just doing what we are supposed to be doing for His glory. You don’t think of the sacrifice—you think of your mission.
Harry Bollback
