END TIMES PROPHECIES RARELY QUOTED BY CHRISTIANS BUT REGULARLY BY THE JEWS

I am amazed at how many end times prophecies I keep finding. As I have mentioned many times before there were 300 + prophecies of Jesus first coming that were fulfilled to the letter and we know the Pharisees and Sadducees did not acknowledge them nor do the leaders of the Orthodox or Reformed Jews of today. But there are about 2000 prophecies of the Jews Messiah’s coming that they do acknowledge, sadly they do not know it is Jesus and it is His second coming. The Jews do acknowledge these two prophecies by Isaiah and Zechariah and eagerly look forward to their fulfilment.

“Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by. For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it, and will no more cover its slain.” Isaiah 26:19-21

How amazing is this prophecy by Isaiah 2700 years ago. First we learn from these two verses that there will be a resurrection then the next verse is a little like Noah and his family entering Noah’s Ark to be protected from God’s wrath.

What about Zechariah? He was inspired to prophesy more than 500 years before Christ’s first coming:

“I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah [the Jews inhabiting the land of Israel] and Jerusalem….I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it” Zechariah 12:2-3

Some think these verses apply to ancient events, but chapter 14 makes clear they refer to the future, immediately before Jesus Christ’s return:

“Behold, the day of the Lord is coming….For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken….Half of the city shall go into captivity…. Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations… .And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives…. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south” Zechariah 14:1-4

Jesus confirmed these prophecies and showed Jerusalem and its environs would be the focus of political and military upheavals immediately preceding His return:

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near” (Luke 21:20).

Anyone living a century ago would have found these words difficult to comprehend. Jerusalem had been fought over many times, but for four centuries from 1517 the city had been at peace within the Ottoman Empire, with Jews living there as a minority under Turkish rule. This, however, dramatically changed in 1948 when the modern state of Israel was established, setting the stage for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jeremiah prophesied a time when the Jewish people would no longer speak of the Exodus, yet today, they continue to celebrate Passover, as it is central to “Judaism.” This deep dive into “bible study” suggests a future “Israel prophecy” where a greater Exodus is yet to come, making the current “Passover explained” celebration a precursor to a more profound event. This “prophecy” sheds light on the enduring relevance of ancient texts.

“Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ but As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.’ For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.” Jeremiah 16:14-15

PERSECUTION COMES WITH THE TERRITORY

Speaking your beliefs as a Christian now can result in a mixed bag of anger, frustration, hostility, and many people who decide they can “no longer associate” with someone like you.

Some of the beliefs that will trigger these sentiments are as follows:

1. Life begins at conception. Abortion is murder.

2. There are only two genders, and we don’t get to pick between the two.

3. Marriage is designed to be between one man and one woman and sex is confined to husband and wife. Homosexuality is an abomination to God.

4. Children deserve two parents — a mum and a dad — who are there for them.

5. There’s only one true God. There’s only one way to God, and it’s through Jesus Christ.

6. Jesus made it possible for our Heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit to be our counsellor, teacher, helper, and comforter.

7. With the Holy Spirit and the word of God, we have all we need to live a Christian life. The word of God, being inerrant and infallible, is the source of all that is good, true, and beautiful.

Redemption, for the Christian, is the freedom we have in Christ. But it was not free, for it cost Christ His life.

Isaiah revealed to the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the religious leaders of the day 700 years before Jesus Christ, their Messiah was born that he would die so that their sins could be forgiven and this is not the end of the story read what else God revealed to Isaiah.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed... he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people… Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief… For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have ompassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer.” Isaiah 53:5-6, 8, 54:7-8

My concern is that just as the religious leaders of Jesus Day did not heed the prophecies of Jesus’ first coming, the religious leaders of our day are not heeding the many prophecies of Jesus’ second coming.

The Fall: Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden for disobeying God and eating from the tree of Good and Evil.

The Bible is full of these beautiful depictions of the reality of our redemption. We are free because Christ restored what was lost in “The Fall” through His death, burial, and resurrection! And so, with all this in mind, we understand what redemption is and can now rightly live out our faith.

Christians must understand how crucial it is to speak the truth in love. We’re called to extend a loving hand to our enemies. We must bring back healthy dialogue with our neighbours, and Christians should lead the charge! We were never meant to be silent or sit back in the face of adversity. Under a hostile government, we can understand the need to stand firm. 

EVIDENCE FOR MIRACLES

Joel interviews Tim Mahoney, creator and director of the Patterns of Evidence films. The most recent being the second of the films in the Red Sea Miracle film series. Tim has been on a crusade to show that the books of the Bible that Moses wrote are true history. Jesus said, “if you won’t believe Moses and the prophets then you won’t believe me.”

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” Luke 24:27

“He (Jesus) said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’” Luke 16:31

These books are foundational to the Gospel message. Tim understands this, hence his dedication to the Patterns of Evidence series. His first film was The Exodus then The Moses Controversy and now the Red Sea Miracle Series. I believe God has raised up Tim to produce these films for this hour to prove He is the miracle working God that established Israel for His purposes and the Bible is His inerrant Word.

You need to not only watch these films yourself but to promote them as widely as possible both to church members and to use them in promoting the truth of God’s Word.
