DARWIN’S ABOMINABLE MYSTERY

In 1879, some twenty years after the publication of his famous Origin of Species, Charles Darwin wrote a letter to botanist Dr Joseph Hooker. One sentence, in particular, underscored a vexing problem for evolutionary theory:

“The rapid development as far as we can judge of all the higher plants within recent geological times is an abominable mystery.” By ‘higher plants’ Darwin had in mind the plants he viewed as being the most ‘highly evolved’, i.e. the Angiosperms—plants with flowers (with seeds produced inside the female reproductive organ). Evolutionarily ‘out-of-place’

Little wonder evolutionary theorists are ‘allergic’ to Precambrian pollen

Buggs refers to “our knowledge of the fossil record” but this has to be selective knowledge. Evolutionists have to ignore or try to explain away various ‘out-of-place’ angiosperm fossils from beneath their supposed first appearance in Cretaceous rocks. For example, fossil “pollen of the Compositae” (the daisy family), which is found all the way down in the Precambrian, is presumed by evolutionists to encompass the time that life first evolved., This would mean flowering plants preceded the allegedly ‘more primitive’ plants, such as algae, mosses, ferns, and pine trees. Little wonder evolutionary theorists are ‘allergic’ to Precambrian pollen!

Flowers from the beginning

The Bible actually places the origin of all plants—algae, mosses, ferns, pine trees, and flowering plants—on Day 3 of Creation Week; not billions of years ago, but only about 6,000. And from the Bible we can conclude the ‘fossil record’ does not display the order of evolution over long time periods, but rather the order of burial during and since the global Flood of Noah’s day, about 4,500 years ago.

How come our schools and universities that teach evolution as fact do not present the many impossible facts such as flowers and DNA (complex information that controls all the machinery in cells) that evolution cannot explain.

So, for those who despite the evidence and the Bible’s eyewitness account want to cling doggedly to evolutionary ideas, Darwin’s “abominable mystery” remains. For Bible-believing Christians, however, there is no mystery.

COMPLEXITY OF CLIMATE AND ENERGY SCIENCE

Dr. Steven Koonin, a University Professor at NYU, has served as the Department of Energy’s Under Secretary for Science, as Chief Scientist for BP, and as professor and Provost at Caltech. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a Governor of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a senior fellow of Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and a Trustee of the Institute for Defense Analyses. Koonin holds a BS in physics from Caltech and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from MIT. He wrote the recent bestseller “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why It Matters.”

It is important that this man has both dimensions: knowledge of climate science and energy production (technology, production, and business). Very few people have both perspectives, which is why you need to hear what he has to say.

What is not discussed in the media is the fact that the earth is becoming greener due to the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere, Since the 1980s the increase is 40%. This is wonderful. For example, the Sahara Desert has been reduced by 15%. There is no apocalypse in the future, we can manage well if we allow scientists like Dr. Koonin to guide the change to more climate-friendly energy sources. Small modular nuclear reactors will be in the mix.

KIRK CAMERON SAID, IT’S WARFARE

He is partly right, it’s spiritual warfare against principalities and powers in the heavenly places, not librarians.

Actor Kirk Cameron is speaking out after public libraries across the U.S. reportedly declined or ignored his request to host a story hour reading of his new book, “As You Grow.” The “Growing Pains” star told CBN’s Faithwire he and his publisher Brave Books are hoping libraries change their minds, though he’s fully prepared to go to court to defend his rights. “Brave Books Publishing and I wrote a letter to some of these libraries and we’re hoping that they’ll reconsider,” Cameron said. “We’re sending them a free copy of the book. It’s theirs to keep, to share with their patrons.” The actor said he’s hoping these libraries see the positive values embedded in the book and, as a result, will invite him in to read to children. He said “As You Grow” is about “biblical wisdom” and teaching kids how to “grow the fruit of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control.” “You would think that public libraries would be thrilled for a book that would teach these virtues to children,” Cameron said.

“We were denied by over fifty woke libraries.” And if libraries don’t change course, Cameron said he’s fully prepared to take action. “If they double down on their discrimination and exclude certain viewpoints just because they think that they don’t like them, well then I told them that I’m prepared to assert my constitutional rights in court,” Cameron said. The crowd exceeded space limitations, forcing Cameron to do two readings of his new children’s book in the hour allotted for the program. Hundreds of people waiting in line never got inside the library.

PRO-LIFE ADVOCATES ATTEND THE ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE IN WASHINGTON ON JAN. 21, 2022

Nearly seven months since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade and returned the issue of abortion to the individual state legislatures, tens of thousands of anti-abortion activists will descend on Washington, D.C., for the 50th annual March for Life on Jan. 21.

Since Roe‘s overturning, 24 states have banned abortion or are likely to do so, according to a January 2023 report by the Guttmacher Institute, a think tank that supports abortion rights. Legal challenges are pending in several of those states.

On Jan. 11, the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives passed a pair of symbolic anti-abortion bills that are not expected to be acted upon in the Democratic-controlled Senate. One of the bills, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, would require health care providers to care for infants born after an attempted abortion. A 2002 federal law already mandates that health care professionals provide medical care to infants born at any gestational age.

Mancini called the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act “commonsense and compassionate.”

In October, she also described as “sensible and compassionate” a bill that Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, sponsored to ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Other antiabortion leaders supported the legislation even though congressional Republicans distanced themselves from it.

Democrats seized upon Graham’s bill to portray the GOP as extremist on the issue, a strategy that seemed to resonate with voters. The Democrats increased their majority in the U.S. Senate while Republicans underperformed in securing the House with a slim majority.

Meanwhile, voters in Michigan, California and Vermont in November chose to enshrine abortion rights in their state constitutions. In Kentucky and Kansas, voters rejected constitutional amendments that would have said residents in those states had no right to an abortion.

“It seems to me we’re discovering that voters are generally in the middle” on abortion, said Mary Ziegler, a law professor at the University of California Davis School of Law who is a leading historian on the abortion debate in the United States. In the middle? Sadly, what our Creator says on the issue is no longer relevant and therefore not a consideration. It is another sure “end times” sign.

HOW DOES GOD REACH MUSLIMS IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES?

The founder of a ministry devoted to serving the Iranian underground church says that many people in the restrictive nation have encountered Jesus through dreams and visions — something that might seem foreign to those living in Western cultures.

The Rev. Lazarus Yeghnazar, founder of Transform Iran, an organization preaching the Gospel in Iran and planting churches, told CBN’s Faithwire how many Iranians find themselves enraptured by Christ following these apparitions. “They know it was real and they cannot stop talking about it, hence the severe persecution, the severity of the brutality,” Yeghnazar said of the persecution many Iranian Christians face. “[Believers will say], ‘I saw a vision of a man in a white robe, with a cross on his shoulder or on his heart, and he says, ‘I am Jesus.'”

While many Christians in the West might meet Jesus as the result of others sharing the Gospel, these dreams and visions are the touchpoints in Iran that spark life-change and heart transformation. Yeghnazar pointed back to Scripture to show how God has used visions to communicate with humanity in the past and explained why Iranians might be having this spiritual experience today. “In the Middle East, people see visions,” he said. “In the Western understanding, we want everything to be tangible, verifiable, accountable.” But he said the dynamic is quite different in the Middle East, where these experiences deeply resonate with those who have them. “In Iran, people see a vision — they will wake up sweating and shaking,” Yeghnazar said. He cited specific biblical examples of when God spoke to prominent figures through dreams, delivering life-altering and important messages. “You know, paving that way from Abraham to Moses, to Daniel, to Joseph, to Mary, the mother of Christ … all of them see dreams,” Yeghnazar said. “Peter, at the beginning of his ministry, started seeing dreams.” The preacher said people might be surprised to see the juxtaposition when it comes to the prevalence of God speaking through dreams for Westerners versus those in the Middle East. “Any gathering of Iranians or Afghan Christians, if you say, ‘How many have seen dreams that have been touched, if not radically, transformed because of a vision,’ 90% will raise their hands,” he said. “If you ask a church in Wisconsin, or in Maryland, or Boston, ‘How many people have come to Christ through a dream?’ they would say, ‘What is a dream?'” Sadly, we also know that many of these people are not born again and do not have the Holy Spirit indwelling their spirit. When the prophesied “last days” tribulation comes upon us many will fall away. However, many will cry out to God and He will turn up in dreams and visions as He is in Iran. HOW IMPORTANT IS THE PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE?

Jesus thought this teaching was so important that He commanded his followers to learn this parable and what its interpretation meant. It was the only time in scripture that He gave His followers that command.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near — at the door! I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. Matthew 24:32-35

The parable explains what Christians can know about Jesus’s return and what they can’t. In terms of what we can know, Jesus told
us that when something known as the “fig tree” sprouts leaves, we can know that “summer” is near. And when Christians see all the things take place that He spoke of previously in Matthew 24, (deception, war, famine, etc.) then they can know that the end of the age is very near – right at the door. Those are the two things that Christians can know. Christians can’t know the exact day or hour of Jesus’ return. But believers can know if they are part of the generation that will see Him coming. They can know if they are in the last days by the signs he has given us.

The Olivet discourse recorded in Matthew 24 and 25 was an answer to the question of disciples which was, “Tell us, when will this
happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Jesus was asked about signs by which they could see and know it was the last days. He then gave signs. He also purposely gave those signs in chronological order so that the final generation could recognize them. He then instructed believers to be watchful. He also said that no one knows the exact day or hour, but He does tell us we can know the season.

The Apostle Paul also confirmed this: For you, yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night … But you, brethren, are not in darkness so that this Day should overtake you as a thief … therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-6)
Paul instructs us that true believers will not be surprised by the season of Jesus’ return because they’ll be awake and watching.

37 COUNTRIES SIGN PLEDGE TO UPHOLD PRO-LIFE, PRO-FAMILY POLICIES BUT NOT ONE WESTERN COUNTRY

The number of countries expressing support for a document stating that “there is no international right to abortion” continues to expand as nations around the world work to implement policies consistent with its mandate to make the family the bedrock of society. Lawmakers, pro-life activists, and representatives of governments worldwide gathered recently on Capitol Hill to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family, which declares that “there is no international right to abortion.” The United States was one of the countries that first signed the document on Oct. 22, 2020, although it later withdrew support after President Joe Biden took office. The document’s name reflects that it was crafted at the 2020 World Health Assembly, which was slated to take place in Switzerland until the coronavirus pandemic forced the event to be held virtually.

Signatories to the Geneva Consensus Declaration include Bahrain, Belarus, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, DRC, Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eswatini, Gambia, Georgia, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Libya, Nauru, Niger, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Poland, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda, UAE, Zambia.

Not one Western nation is on the list of signatories. Countries that were founded on Judaeo-Christian values. All of these nations are beginning to experience God’s judgment and it will only escalate as they continue to exorcise God from the lives of their nations.

The Institute for Women’s Health (IWH) hosted the ceremony featuring U.S. lawmakers and diplomats from nations that have signed the Geneva Consensus Declaration discussing the efforts made by their countries to improve health outcomes for women and girls while rejecting the idea that abortion constitutes a form of women’s healthcare. The IWH is a non-profit organization that works to “advocate for the health of women throughout every phase of life.” IWH President Valerie Huber spoke in front of flags representing each of the countries that have signed the agreement.

One of the flagpoles behind Huber did not have a flag attached to it and Huber indicated that “We’ve just learned this morning that another country has already taken that particular flagpole.” She announced that Kazakhstan had become the 37th nation to sign onto the Geneva Consensus Declaration.

Earlier this year, the World Health Organization called for the decriminalization of abortion worldwide, describing it as “lifesaving care” and “a crucial part of health care.”

“Lifesaving care” except for the baby that is being sacrificed. If only they realized that by rejecting God and doing what is evil they are facing the dreadful wrath of God that will be poured out with the seven trumpet judgments (Revelation 8) and seven bowl judgments (Revelation 16) described in the Book of Revelation.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, and malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, and ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” Romans 1:18-32

Note well, Jesus and the prophets told us that in the last days before God’s wrath is poured out on an unrepentant world, people will reject the truth that God judged the world with the worldwide flood of Noah’s day and yet dead things buried all over the world even fossil fuels are proof that the flood occurred.

“Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.” 2 Peter 3:3-7

GOD’S PROVIDENCE: HE IS A GOD OF INTENTION

“Providence” is a word we use frequently in talking about God, but we may not have thought deeply about what it means. Theologian Timothy George defines it as “God’s faithful and effective care and guidance of everything which He has made toward the end which He has chosen.”

In quadriplegic’s Joni Eareckson Tada’s book Pain and Providence, she writes about God’s providence in Joseph’s life:

“I draw a lot of inspiration from the story of Joseph. There were plenty of unfortunate mishaps in Joseph’s life, like being tossed by his envious brothers into a pit and left to die. But later on, after more mishaps, Joseph told his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Gen. 50:20-21).

I like that word, intended. He is a God of intention—He has a purpose, a target, a goal, and a plan. Joseph’s problems did not catch God off guard. From the beginning, God calculated for Joseph to experience all these things. Why? For the salvation of others.

God is not a sweep-up boy who follows you with a dustpan and brush, second-guessing how everything will fit into a divine pattern for good. God’s hands stay on the wheel of your life from start to finish so that everything follows His intention for your life. This means your trials have more meaning—much more—than you realize.

Consider this: If Joseph had not been sold to those caravan traders by his wicked brothers, he would not have ended up as the right-hand man to Pharaoh. And if Joseph had not become Pharaoh’s right-hand man, no one would have built giant grain silos to ward off the famine. And if the famine hadn’t happened, Jacob and his family would never have come to Egypt for food and safety. And if Jacob’s family weren’t in Egypt, there would have been no slave laborers. And if no slaves, no Exodus, no Israel and no giving of the law to Moses. And no Promised Land. And, finally, no line of Judah from which the Messiah, Jesus Christ, would come.

What an amazing example of the providence of God! It is enthralling to see how the troubles of one young man named Joseph could kick-start a whole chain of earth-shaking events which would ultimately lead to our salvation.

Joseph’s story could be yours. Only heaven will reveal the incredibly complex intertwining of events in which you have played a pivotal role. Like Joseph, you may not be able to discern it at the time, but God has it all in hand. He has it all in control. And you, dear friend, are needed in His marvelous plan to spread His kingdom in your corner of the world.”

God is in control of history and in His Word, the Bible, He has told us the entire story of this world from the start, a perfect world to its firey end. We know that we are living in the time before Jesus prophesied second coming to earth, first to raise the dead Saints and to rapture the living Saints and pour out His wrath on unrepentant earth, and second to return to earth one year and ten days later for the battle of Armageddon and set up His Millennial Kingdom.

“They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

TRUTH ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE

What really motivates those leading the Climate Change charge. In this video, Jordan Peterson interviews Dr. Richard Lindzen to talk about the climate change catastrophe narrative. I have given a lot of detail on his biography to prove that you should listen to what he has to say.

Climate is controlled by the Greenhouse effect. Is this correct? No, it is not and you will come to understand how futile the climate change catastrophe narrative is and how we have got to this crazy state with 97% of scientists agreeing with global warming. Administrative hyper-invasion of the technical schools is having a major impact. Also, many scientists would agree that increases in CO2 greenhouse effects are occurring, but would not agree there are tipping points that will result in catastrophic disasters.

Richard Lindzen is a dynamical meteorologist. He has contributed to the development of theories for the Hadley Circulation, hydrodynamic instability theory, internal gravity waves, atmospheric tides, and the quasi-biennial oscillation of the stratosphere. His current research is focused on climate sensitivity, the role of cirrus clouds in climate, and the determination of the tropics-to-pole temperature difference. He has attained multiple degrees from Harvard University, and won multiple awards in his field of study such as the Jule Charney award for “highly significant research in the atmospheric sciences”. Between 1983 and 2013, he was the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT where he earned emeritus status in July of 2013.

Concerning climate change, Martyn Isles of Australian Christian Lobby reminds us of the following scripture.

‘The Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”‘ Genesis 8:20-22

“As a first principle, the earth was made to be filled by us. It was made to resource that enterprise. The resources of the earth are given to us to use toward that end. It is not wrong to use the many resources God has placed within and on the earth.

As for the earth’s climate, it is *ultimately* controlled by God. His guarantee is that seasons and temperatures will be held within certain parameters which He ordains over the entire life of the earth – as long as it remains.

“He promises that food will be grown; that seasons will take place; that the weather will be both cold and hot …

“Whatever the temporal variations may be, the long-term guarantee is that God is in control for our good. That’s what the rainbow reminds us of.

“Take God out of the picture, and anxiety about those things which are above our pay grade gets out of control. That includes the weather.

“We get to “tend” and “keep” the garden (so by all means compost and recycle and whatnot – this is not a license to be reckless or to pillage), but we don’t control its ultimate paradigm.

“We are the creatures. He is the Creator. The reversal of that order is one of the timeless sins of the human race.

The scriptural statements on these matters (which actually make sense of the observable realities) are seldom invoked even by Christian leaders – probably for fear of being considered foolish.

“God’s words are good enough for me.” Also, God has told us the end of the story for this planet – Jesus returns to rule and reign for 1000 years and then the end will come.
