GROWTH OF CHURCH IN AFRICA IS STAGGERING

In 1900, there were 9.6 million Christians in Africa. As of 2025, there are over 754 million. This alone is a staggering figure. But it’s even more significant as we examine it in relation to Christianity in other regions of the globe. With just under 552 million Christians in Europe, just under 417 million in Asia, and 620 million in Latin America, Africa already leads the Christian world in terms of population. And it is set to keep growing.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the only region of the world currently exceeding the population replacement birth rate, which is also encouraging for African Christianity, as believing parents have more children and raise them as Christians. While these numbers do not assess the vitality and strength of the faith of those they are counting – considering that African churches are standing stronger than Western churches on key, contested biblical truths of marriage and family – at least on this issue, the convictional level of Christianity is higher in Africa than in the West. Of course, the above doesn’t account for how the Lord may move in these regions and bring revival, but these numbers represent the current state of Christianity globally.

Europe and the lands it settled have predominated as the centre of global Christianity for hundreds of years, giving birth to biblically-influenced arts, science, and education, the Reformation, America’s own founding, and sending missionaries around the globe – including to Africa within the last two centuries.

But the West has not kept pace. Over the past 100 years, Christianity has faded in the lands that once cultivated it. Even more, a subtle and dangerous shift has developed in the last several decades — the West has begun to actively work against biblical principles in the lands to which it once sent missionaries. Perhaps no subject loomed larger over the Pan-African Conference for Family Values, held May 12-14 in Nairobi, Kenya, than what the West has done to target the African family in recent years.

NOW THE WEST IS ACTIVELY WORKING AGAINST CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA

The Chairperson of the Africa Christian Professionals Forum, Mrs. Ann Mbugua said, “The fight for the family must continue. The family is too precious to be left unattended, to be attacked from all corners.”

As far as the Africans at this conference are concerned, the West has been actively working against their families. Their primary source of pain is that the boatloads of money that have been pumped into the continent to kill their unborn children (by promoting abortion) and attack the integrity of the human person and undermine marriage and family (by promoting LGBT ideology). Not only that, but how this money is coming in is coercive. African government leaders are having their arms twisted by Western diplomats and NGOs and told that if they don’t agree to allow abortion and LGBT ideology, they aren’t going to get the financial aid they often so desperately need. At the conference, one Kenyan leader said that “the week after Biden was elected” in 2020, LGBT groups and advocacy efforts “showed up” in the country.

The good news is that the Pan African Conference for Family Values brought solidarity between the African believers called to defend God’s word in the public spaces, and those in the United States with a similar call. The American believers said it was tremendously encouraging to be with their African brothers and sisters and know that we are in this together, as we lock arms with the joy and presence of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, we know God wants to perfect his church — his body — and it is a global body. The Pan-African Conference on Family Values saw this unification of the Body of Christ that our God desires continue in a fresh new way. The question is: in the west, do we have the courage and conviction to do it?

AUSTRALIA – A NATION IN DECLINE

Greg Sheridan in The Australian recently warned that Australia is a nation in decline — from rising debt to falling fertility and a loss of hope. At the heart of it all? A spiritual vacuum we’ve tried to ignore.

Greg said, “Across every indicator you can imagine — economy, living standards, social cohesion, crime, health, military capability, the creativity and virtuosity of the arts — we’re in serious decline.” Greg did not address the spiritual nature of the decline, which is the cause of the decrease in the rest of the indicators. If you have no knowledge of our Creator God, who made us in His image and loves us enough to send His only son to pay the price for our rebellion against Him, then you will get the outcome we have. It results from sinful men doing what they think is best for themselves; the strong rule over the weak.

As faith diminishes and social upheaval sets in, the state steps in to fill the spiritual void, offering itself as a stabilising force, a surrogate provider, and a substitute for God. But the more power we give it, the more of our finances and freedoms we are forced to surrender.

Greg’s Weekend Australian article has caused no small stir, not just for its bold thesis, but for the arsenal of facts Sheridan marshalled to support his case.

Families that can’t afford a home and struggle to pay for life’s necessities stop having children. Mums and dads forced to work longer hours spend less time with their children — and each other. Young people who believe a stable future is beyond reach stop aspiring. And as the national debt balloons, mental health declines, and anxiety and despair set in, our institutions lose their legitimacy and Australia’s social fabric frays.

In short, economic woes are a fast track to social declension — and Greg Sheridan has rightly lamented both in his sobering analysis of mid-2020s Australia.

The Numbers Behind the Decline

On Australia’s economy and living standards, the situation is dire. Our national debt has now surpassed $1 trillion, not including the billions in hidden, “off-budget” borrowing. Just paying the interest on that debt costs Australians $27 billion every year — and that figure is only rising.

At the same time, productivity — the output of each worker — has fallen by 5% under the Albanese government, while real incomes have plummeted 8% in just three years — the worst performance of any nation in the OECD. Additionally, Australia’s top tax rate kicks in at lower income levels than in the US or UK, meaning that Aussies are taxed more even as they earn less.

Housing is no better. The median house price is now nine times the average income — and in Sydney, it’s a staggering thirteen times. By contrast, in the 1970s and 80s, house prices were just three or four times the average annual salary.

Is it any wonder, then, that Australia’s fertility rate has crashed to 1.44 children per woman? This is a historic low for our nation, and global data suggests it will be extremely difficult to reverse, even if the economy improves.

Australia’s education standards are also dropping:

  • Australian students are 4 years behind top Asian countries in maths
  • In 2023, 15-year-olds performed like 14-year-olds from 20 years ago
  • 1 in 3 students failed basic reading and maths in 2024
  • We spend more than the OECD average per student but get worse results

Our health is also going backwards:

  • Two-thirds of Australians are overweight or obese
  • Life expectancy is now dropping
  • Suicide is the leading cause of death for Aussies aged 15–44
  • Youth mental illness is up 50% in 15 years
  • Australia ranks second after the US for rising mental health issues

If all that weren’t enough, energy, mining, and manufacturing — once the backbone of Australian prosperity — are now in steady retreat.

Electricity prices have climbed significantly, driven by costly Net Zero policies. While a mixed energy grid that makes use of gas and coal would be more affordable, Australia is doubling down on renewables. By contrast, the so-called “big emitters” — China, India and the US — no longer believe in Net Zero, putting Australia out of step and limping behind. Amid these developments, we’ve lost critical industries like urea (used in fertiliser), plastics, and nickel, which are vital to our economic sovereignty.

Australia’s commitment to Net Zero has seen the closure of coal-fired power stations — once the backbone of our competitive advantage — in favour of costly renewables. As energy prices rise, Australian manufacturing has entered “terminal decline” and now makes up the smallest share of GDP of any nation in the OECD. By contrast, China is building 421 GW of new coal power while we’re shutting down our last 21 GW.

Just days after Sheridan’s article went to press, former federal MP Craig Kelly published an X thread featuring 26 graphs that painted a very similar picture.

Job growth is now concentrated in the debt-funded public sector, not in productive enterprise. Australia’s bureaucracy is among the most bloated in the world, and the cost of government continues to grow. With our economic complexity rating falling, fertility rates collapsing, and younger Australians losing faith in the future, Kelly argues, we’re at risk of becoming the first generation to pass on a country poorer, weaker, and less free than the one we inherited.

WILL ISRAEL CAVE TO A TWO-STATE SOLUTION?

The world is poised to FORCE Israel into a two-state solution – and Israel will cave in and fulfil Daniel 9:27. Why will Israel fold and give up? In Nelson’s video, you will get the WHY and HOW of what we’re seeing FULFILLS Bible Prophecy. The UN meetings to discuss a two-state solution are planned for June 25th to 27th. In fact, Diplomats convened at UN Headquarters in New York on Friday, May 23rd, to lay the groundwork for a crucial international conference in June, aimed at advancing global efforts towards achieving a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Co-chairs France and Saudi Arabia emphasised the need for the June conference to go beyond reaffirming principles and achieve concrete results on the ground. “Faced with the facts on the ground, the prospects of a Palestinian State must be maintained. Irreversible steps and concrete measures for the implementation thereof are necessary,” said Anne-Claire Legendre, Middle East and North Africa advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron.

Last week, Trump’s newly appointed senior adviser on Mideast and Arab affairs, Massad Boulos, told Le Monde that “a road map that would lead to a Palestinian state” would be an important part of the talks between the US and Saudi Arabia regarding a potential Israel-Saudi normalisation agreement during the next administration.

Spain hosted European and Arab countries for high-level talks in Madrid on Sunday, May 25th, to pressure Israel to stop its military offensive in Gaza and move forward with a two-state solution.

ARTIFICIAL WOMBS AND SUPER HUMANS

The US company, Colossal, has successfully demonstrated the very complex process of germline editing on animals. It has successfully edited DNA to produce the expected traits that result from specific sequences of DNA. This same technology can also be used for humans, to make us stronger, smarter, have denser muscle tissue, have more focus, be void of any unwanted genetic mutations, make us resilient to forms of disease, etc.

He Jiankui, a Chinese scientist, conducted germline editing on embryos from parents who had HIV. He edited the DNA of the embryos to be resistant to HIV in a scientific experiment to see if the offspring could be protected from the disease. And while it appears to have worked, he crossed a line and served three years in prison for it.

So is it that much of a stretch to imagine – now that we have this incredible technology that we know works – that certain governments, using funding from NGOs, in private labs in countries with lax oversight, might be working with this technology? And that they might be trying to make “better, faster, stronger, smarter” scientists, athletes, and soldiers?

Also worth noting is that Colossal has also developed artificial womb technology for incubating and growing the technology, which will almost certainly be spun out into a new company. Of course, there are immediate implications for animal husbandry… but again, is it that much of a stretch to imagine that the end game isn’t artificial wombs for humans? Colossal has already spun out two companies: Form Bio, as a computational biology company, and Breaking, which is using genetic editing to create synthetic substances that can degrade plastics. These technologies that Colossal has been developing under the hood have nothing to do with de-extinction… But they have incredible implications for the future of genetic editing and what’s to come.

All of the above confirm Biblical end-time prophecies, which state that we are in a time of godlessness and lawlessness, just as it was in the days of Noah, before God’s wrath was poured out for the first time on planet earth.

For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man (Jesus’ second coming). For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.Matthew 24:37-39

The Coming of the Son of Man
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.Matthew 24:29-31

Only those people who have repented of rejecting God and His commandments and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will be among the elect and avoid the wrath of God that will be poured out on earth with the prophesied Trumpet and Bowl Judgements (see Revelation 8 for the Seven Trumpet Judgements and Revelation 16 for the Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath).

What will your fate be? Will you be amongst the elect, the faithful, trusting God in all circumstances, or will you be among the many that face the wrath of God.

WE NEED HOLY SPIRIT POWER

What we can learn from the Chinese underground church.

This testimony reveals the world’s most significant revival inside China’s underground church and their ambitious “Back to Jerusalem” vision to reach unreached people groups between China and Jerusalem. Eugene Bach shares incredible stories of Chinese house church pastors demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit in persecution, prison miracles, and supernatural ministry that no training could prepare them for.

Through decades of working alongside these persecuted believers, the message emphasizes that completing the Great Commission requires the Spirit of God more than resources, people, or training programs.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.John 6:63

PREPARING FOR THE COMING TRIBULATION

This is a critical presentation by Nelson Walters for Christians on preparing for the coming tribulation before Jesus’ second coming. Nelson takes us to the Scripture where Peter first gets Jesus’ commendation for hearing from his Heavenly Father in answering Jesus’ question, “Who do you say I am?”, correctly, but then, shortly after, Jesus rebukes Peter with “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” Mark 8:33

How could Peter go so quickly from hearing from God to hearing and acting on Satan’s word? This Scripture teaches an important lesson that we need to take to heart.

PHARAOH’S CHARIOT WHEELS DISCOVERED

When a team of modern salvage divers recently plunged into the Red Sea, they weren’t chasing treasure. They were chasing a mystery nearly 50 years old – a legend that the chariot wheels that once belonged to a Pharaoh lay buried beneath the waves. What they found left them stunned. Scattered across the seabed were shocking discoveries of remains of chariots and many human bones that would confirm a Biblical story that a lot of people have dismissed as fiction. But here’s the thing: what the divers saw suggests that something shocking happened in the Red Sea, confirming the Biblical Exodus story.

This confirms what Ron Wyatt reported many years before. I met Ron Wyatt when I was Chairman of Ark Search, and Dr Alan Roberts of Australia was working with Ron Wyatt on a search for Noah’s Ark. Sadly, that search ended in failure; however, an article by Ken Griffiths and Darryl K White in the Journal of Creation, Volume 35, Issue 3, 2021, shows a credible site for Noah’s Ark on the Mountain Karaca Dag in Turkey.

While researching a Babel candidate site near Diyarbakir, Turkey, on 3 October 2019, they found a complex of sites on the mountain Karaca Dag that, upon further examination, seem to match the description of the landing site of Noah’s Ark, along with a tomb, possible altar, and much more. The tomb is a 60-m-square, rough stone mastaba, oriented to the winter solstice sunrise, with two extensions that make it into roughly a 160-m-long boat shape. The site is marked by six or more geoglyphs, situated along an arc 5 km distant on the northwest side of the mountain. The possible remains of the Ark appear to have had a modern school built on them, now collapsed.

We would expect to find the landing site of the Ark near the centre of the oldest post-diluvial distribution of humans and domesticated plants. The site presented in this paper lies upon a mountain between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers at the centre of the Pre‑Pottery Neolithic A (PPNA) Culture.

JOE ROGAN IS IMACTING MILLIONS FOR CHRIST

Podcast veteran Joe Rogan, once an atheist, is now attending church. His spiritual trajectory mirrors a broader spiritual revival among Gen Z and young men worldwide. Raised Catholic but long agnostic, Rogan is now rethinking some of life’s biggest questions — and his public platform means millions are along for the ride.

As of this week, The Joe Rogan Experience boasts 14.5 million followers on Spotify, making it by far the most popular podcast on the platform. Of course, since Spotify ended its exclusivity deal with Rogan in a multi-year agreement signed last month, the podcast is also now available on other platforms, including Apple Podcasts. The number only accounts for his Spotify audience, but his reach across platforms is staggering. Joe Rogan’s engagement with Christianity is becoming hard to ignore. Once a self-described atheist, he’s now asking serious questions about Jesus, the soul, and Scripture — often in front of millions.

In a recent discussion with Michael Kruger, Daniel Wallace and Michael Horton on the Know What You Believe podcast, Huff confirmed, “I can tell you for a fact that he is attending a church, and that has been a consistent thing.”

Huff, who serves as Central Canada Director for Apologetics Canada, said he’s maintained a line of communication with Rogan since their three-hour conversation on Christianity and the Bible. “He’s a very inquisitive individual,” Huff noted, adding that Rogan has been actively seeking out trustworthy sources on Christianity and Scripture.

Rogan’s personal journey is taking place in the midst of a broader, global resurgence of interest in Christianity — especially among Generation Z men.

“We’re seeing somewhat of a resurgence in interest in these topics,” Huff told the Know What You Believe audience, citing evidence both statistical and anecdotal. “We had young people walking into a Christian bookstore saying, ‘I want a Bible. All my friends are reading this thing.’”

The trend to which Huff referred is measurable. According to Barna’s 2025 State of the Church report, weekly church attendance in the US has risen from 28% in 2024 to 32% in 2025, driven primarily by Gen Z and Millennials. Remarkably, young men are now more likely to attend church than their female peers — a reversal of historic patterns.

Similar growth has been observed in the UK. A Bible Society study titled The Quiet Revival reports that regular church attendance has grown by 50% in the past six years, adding two million new attendees. The most dramatic rise has come from 18–24-year-olds, whose church participation jumped from 4% to 16% — with young men increasing from 4% to 21%.

Australia is seeing similar stirrings, though among an older crowd. McCrindle Research’s An Undercurrent of Faith found that from the 2016 to 2021 Census, more than 784,000 Australians shifted from “no religion” to identifying as Christian. Contrary to assumptions, the growth is not fuelled by immigration but by Australian-born citizens — most significantly among those over 55.

BUMPER TO BUMPER ON THE FREEWAY TO HELL

The power of these incisive lyrics from Petra’s 1981 hit “Angel of Light” is rare in modern Christian music. The existence and influence of Satan and demons are so evident in today’s culture, and yet much of the world and the church are operating as if they do not exist.

Angel of light, I see you glow in the night
But you only bring darkness to my soul
Angel of light, You’re telling me wrong is right
I won’t let your evil take control

They follow in your footsteps not knowing that you fell
Bumper to bumper on the freeway to hell
You lead them into wrong and you make it look so right
You lead them into darkness and make them think you lead them into light
But I know where you’re going, too bad you’re not alone
If it wasn’t for the real light I might have never known

You got the clergy working overtime to widen the narrow way
You’ve got politicians everywhere listening to what you say
You’ve got false apostles teaching lies perverting the only way
You’ve got principalities and powers waiting to obey
You’ve got philosophies and vain deceits lying to deceive
You’ve got hate, and greed, ungodly lusts in the deadly web you weave
Somehow you’ve got so many thinking you’re not even there
One look is all it takes to get them blinded by your glare
.
