9TH OF AV – PROOF GOD IS IN CONTROL OF HISTORY

9th of Av is the most solemn day on the Jewish calendar. It occurs on the 9th day of the 5th month on the Jewish calendar – Av (30 days, equivalent July- August).

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE 9TH OF ARV?

Thousands of years ago God vowed to Abraham that He would “bless those who bless you; and curse those who curse you.” (Gen 12:3) Many individuals, nations, and empires have put God’s Word to the test. As one of the greatest superpowers the world has ever known, has Britain proved the potency and longevity of God’s ancient covenant with Abraham and his descendants?

This documentary film traces the rise and fall of the British Empire as it intertwines with Britain’s complex historical relationship with the Jewish People. What was Britain’s role in the re-birth of Israel in her historic homeland? How did Britain’s rich Christian heritage intersect with geo-political factors surrounding the First and Second World War? Did Britain’s destiny end in a forsaken promise?

Presented by Lance Lambert, the film features interviews with academics and church leaders, alongside eye-witness accounts, historical footage, and live action dramatisation of an epic journey with urgent implications for our modern times. It demonstrates God is in complete control of events on His planet. World history is unfolding exactly as He says it will in His book, the Bible. Another great movie from Hatikvah Films. Check them out for other great prophetic Biblical films particularly relating to the role of Israel in Gods plans.

UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES CONCERNING JEWS, ARABS AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Avner and Jonathan provide wonderful testimonies of growing up as Jews and how they came to learn about Jesus as their Messiah. Two very different accounts which is helpful in understanding Jews and how we can reach out to them.

Avner Boskey of Final Frontiers Ministries was raised in an Orthodox Jewish home. Since coming to faith in Yeshua (Jesus), he has lived in Israel for more than 20 years, where he has become an expert on the Middle East. He joins Rabbi Jonathan Bernis for a discussion about Israel today, the Palestinians and how God’s passion for the Jewish people and Israel affects all Believers. Avner is the author of a great book: Jews, Arabs and the Middle East: A Messianic Perspective.

“And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written” – Romans 11 what do we do with that Scripture?

What is God is calling us to do with regard to prophesied increased persecution coming to Jews in the last days. Please pray for wisdom in this regard.

HAVE CHRISTIANS BEEN MISLED ABOUT SECOND COMING OF JESUS?

Great to see that Dr Michael Brown has realised that Scripture does not support a Pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Without a doubt, the New Testament proclaims that Jesus will return to earth and establish His Kingdom. And without a doubt, the New Testament calls us to live with readiness and expectation. We can all agree on that.

But does the New Testament teach that, for true believers, Jesus will come suddenly, like a thief in the night, without any signs? Or, to the contrary, does it teach that His coming will not be like a thief in the night for godly believers, since we are awake and alert, fully aware of the signs of the times?

“To be clear, I don’t doubt for a moment that we’re living in prophetic times”, said Dr Brown

The gospel is spreading all over the world in unprecedented fashion, just as the Scriptures predicted.

Out of the ashes of the Holocaust, Israel has been re-birthed, and Jerusalem remains at the centre of world attention, again, in accordance with the prophets’ words.

And around the globe, Christians are being brutally persecuted for their faith, mowed down by the hundreds and thousands. This too is in harmony with Scripture, which speak of the last days as times of great blessing and great upheaval, of great light and great darkness, or great victory and great conflict. Jesus promised that Christians would not experience the wrath of God but Scripture shows us that in the end times, God’s wrath is poured out at the Trumpet and Bowl Judgements. The Rapture occurs after the sixth seal. John saw the great multitude that no one could number of believers before the throne clothed in white robes (resurrected bodies) and waving palm branches just prior to the seventh seal being opened and the trumpet judgements commencing.

Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world.

Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times. What they find will leave you full of hope. God’s wrath is not poured out on His people, and He will shield us from it–as he shielded Israel in Egypt during the ten plagues. So instead of taking comfort in what God hasn’t promised, take comfort in the words of Jesus: He has overcome the world, and we live in his victory.

EASTMED GAS PIPELINE: CATALYST FOR END TIMES BIBLICAL PROPHECY?

Can I suggest you add David Rosenthal’s website: http://www.zionshope.org to your list of valuable “end times” resources. This video ties current events with end times Biblical prophecy in a coherent, believable manner. David reveals surprising details of the recently proposed EastMed Natural Gas Pipeline and its possible connection to a future invasion of Israel prophesied more than 2,600 years ago. The development of this proposed undersea pipeline may revolutionise the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East and beyond. With Israel’s strategic location, growing wealth, and new-found influence within the natural gas energy sector, the potential for political conflict and another major war in the Middle East only continues to grow. Most importantly, this pipeline may ultimately prove to be a catalyst for the future fulfilment of end-time Bible prophecy.

FRANCIS CHAN RESPONDS TO CRITICS

Followers of my blog know that I promote Francis Chan’s view of the church. He has come under severe criticism for his involvement in the recent SEND Conference. This is his response.

WHY DO YOU SOMETIMES ACCEPT SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS IN PLACES THAT TOLERATE THEOLOGY THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM YOURS?

I speak at events almost every week of the year. Often times, it’s more than one event a week. I don’t really enjoy it—I hate the travel, but try not to complain about it. Despite the toll it can take on myself and the family, it is always an honour to preach the Word. I believe it is my calling. Some question my choice to speak so often, but my best discernment and the discernment of the elders of our church is that it is still a part of my calling in this season.

I am asked to speak at approximately 500 events a year. I decline approximately 90% of the requests. It’s a difficult thing to do. Often times, I decline because other speakers will be at the event who believe almost exactly what I believe. My reasoning is that it may be a waste of Kingdom resources for all of us to be there, speaking largely to people who already agree with us. It seems more effective to speak where there is less Bible teaching. It has not been my practice to ask who will share the platform with me and to research the other speakers. While some may be dear friends, there are many that I know little about. This current experience has caused me to consider exercising more caution and to develop a team to help me research. That being said, I speak in many places where I am not in alignment theologically. I actually believe that is where I can be most effective, as long as they give me freedom to address anything I believe the Lord wants me to address.

I recognise, now more than ever, that sometimes my participation can give the impression that I align with every other speaker at the event. I’m not sure what to do about that other than to tell you that I don’t. Unless the elders of my church direct me differently, I will continue to be found preaching in venues with those I disagree. I will preach in just about any kind of setting if I’m given freedom to preach from any passage of scripture. The elders and I are trying to come up with more safeguards for future events to hopefully prevent misunderstandings. Pray for us.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE LAST DAYS

This video series by Nelson Walters on How to Prepare for the Last Days is much needed by the church so I encourage you to circulate the series widely to friends and families.

Most Christians believe we’re in the end times , but do nothing to prepare. That is why Nelson put together this video, “How to Prepare for the Last Days. It first answers three fundamental questions:

1. Have the end times begun?

2. I’m saved, what else do I need to do?

3. What are God’s purposes for the end times?

Once these questions are answered, everyone will want to see the rest of the video to learn Jesus’s special commands for the last days and the believers’ role in them.

God uses catastrophes for His purposes. The book Mystery of Catastrophes is a great resource to show what God is doing in these last days through catastrophes such as what we are seeing in the Middle East. God plans to bring more catastrophes across our paths to provide us with opportunities to present the love of God and the Gospel to the lost.

I have a power point sermon – The Mystery of Catastrophes (based on Joel and Nathan’s book) up on http://www.powerpointsermons.net for Home Group/Church use.

The following video is video 3 in the 9 part series. The whole series is about 2 hours in duration. I recommend of course that you schedule to watch all 9, but this video is a good starting point.

END TIMES PROPHECY – IRAN AND ISRAEL

This article by Dr. Majid Rafizadeh fits with end times prophecy concerning Iran and Israel.

Dr. Majid Rafizadeh is a business strategist and advisor, Harvard-educated scholar, political scientist, board member of Harvard International Review, and president of the International American Council on the Middle East. He has authored several books on Islam and US Foreign Policy.

“Iran’s military activities and clear public threats to annihilate Israel continue to grow in frequency and intensity. These moves not only instil fear, as they are doubtless meant to do; they also threaten to disrupt the international community.

With such dire promises of conflict, it would be expected that the international news media and politicians throughout the world would have something to say about this situation.

Instead, Iran’s continued abusive behaviour continues to be cozied up to at worst, or at best, ignored.

Iran Inches Closer Toward its Goal of ‘Wiping Israel Off the Map’

One of the core pillars and revolutionary ideals of the Islamic Republic is destroying the Jewish state. It is also one of the religious prophecies of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and his successor, the current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that Israel will be eventually erased from the face of the earth.

As Iran’s theocratic establishment believes that the Supreme Leader is Allah’s representative on earth, whatever words or desires the Supreme Leader utters are considered wishes, which must be brought to life by Allah’s true believers.

While they progress toward destroying Israel, not only do Iranian leaders believe that they are inching closer to fulfilling a religious prophecy, but they also see that they are gaining strategic and geopolitical victories — in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and in the Gaza Strip.

The Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, recently threatened on Iran’s Channel 2 TV that Israel is “vulnerable and bringing itself closer to death”.

Salami recently made it vehemently clear the strategy of the Iranian government, stating:

“Our strategy is to erase Israel from the global political map. And, it seems that, considering the evil that Israel is doing, it is bringing itself closer to that.”

In addition, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently posted a Twitter tirade against Israel. It stated that the, “the Zionist regime will perish in the not-so-far future.”

This burst of confidence is bolstered by Iran’s military buildup in Syria, among other places. The Syrian civil war has been viewed as a perfect environment for the Iranian leaders to advance and ultimately achieve their objective of destroying Israel.

Iran has built, or is in the process of building, more than 10 military bases in Syria, some of which are near the Israeli border. Tehran has used this strategic position in Syria to fire rockets into Israel.

While many of the world leaders disregard Iran’s evident intentions to destroy Israel, they always seems extremely quick to criticise Israel for actually defending the safety of its citizens.

After Iran’s unprovoked attacks on Israel and its military build-up in Syria were dismissed by the international community, Israel had no choice but to carry out its own strikes against the Iranian military bases and infrastructure that were threatening their country.

Unfortunately, some news outlets and politicians have been attempting to create a narrative to lead people to believe that the Iranian leaders’ threats are just talk. Iran’s leaders, however, continue to demonstrate their intentions not only with verbal threats, but with military actions as well.

Since 1979, Iran has authorised firing rockets and missiles into Israel, and have also used proxies, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, to attack Israel viciously. Iran appears to have Israel solidly in its cross-hairs.

Apparently in a rush to provide cover for Iran, some world leaders have also, for years, been attempting to tell the public that there is a difference between “moderate” Iranian politicians and the hardliners.

Unfortunately, that distinction is make-believe. Iran’s current president, Hassan Rouhani, like the previous president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has called Israel a “cancerous tumour.” Iranian politicians across the political spectrum (hardliners or “moderates”) all agree on one thing: destroy Israel.

When will the international community begin to take the Iranian government’s clear verbal threats and physical aggression seriously? Or would the international community secretly like to see Israel destroyed, under Europe’s Orwellian inversion of the words: ‘the peace process’?”

5G AND ITS CONNECTION TO END TIMES PROPHECY

The scientific studies on the hazards of 5G overwhelmingly demonstrate that it is dangerous to our health, extremely dangerous. With respect to the topic of the headline of this post, the relevant part starts at 14:15 speaking about 5G tracking and identifying you in the most dystopian form.

Will this be the means by which the Antichrist will detect recalcitrant Christians who refuse to take the mark and worship his image?

“The second beast was empowered to give life to the image of the first beast so that it could speak, and could cause all those who did not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He also caused everyone (small and great, rich and poor, free and slave) to obtain a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. Thus no one was allowed to buy or sell things unless he bore the mark of the beast—that is, his name or his number.” (Rev 13:15–17)

Make sure you watch the video to the end.

TRUMP’S PEACE PLAN: WILL IT BRING JUDGEMENT ON THE USA?

Could the Peace Plan for Israel and Palestine, the plan, which President Donald Trump has dubbed the ‘Deal of the Century,’ be the covenant in Daniel 9:27 that introduces the last seven years prior to Jesus return to earth to commence His Millennial reign? When Yeshua was asked about His coming and the end of the age, in Matthew 24: 15, He referred to the above verse in Daniel.

All who have tried to create lasting peace between Israel and her neighbours have failed;  yet, the Word of God says that one man will appear to succeed. This man’s peace plan will begin the final countdown to the return of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

After the Israeli elections on April 9th, President Trump is planning to unveil a Two State “Final Solution” which will not only be dangerous for Israel, but will be the 4th and Final National Apostasy which positions the United States to receive God’s poured out Judgement.

It won’t be Trump’s Peace Plan that ushers in peace for the first half of the seven years prior to Jesus return to rule and reign. Trump has been God’s Cyrus as Jonathan reveals in his presentation below. However, if Trump’s Peace Plan forces Israel to give up land then we know that his actions will bring God’s judgement upon the USA.

In light of the urgency to make peace in the Middle East, it is vital to understand what the Prophet Daniel and Yeshua (Jesus) told us about this peace plan and the last days, so we can recognise the times and warn others also.

Joel gives us the end of the story: “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.  There I will put them on trial for what they did to My inheritance, My people Israel, because they scattered My people among the nations and divided up My land.”  (Joel 3:2)

Jonathan Cahn ties Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy into events that are unfolding in our time. Be amazed at the detail given in this prophecy of coming events, confirming the Bible is God’s Word and trustworthy. All of the unfulfilled Biblical prophecies of the end times will happen exactly as prophesied.

BIBLICAL PROPHECY UNFOLDING IN OUR TIME

Tens of Thousands of Iran’s Missiles in Syria are Pointed at Israel,’ Threatens Iranian Official

In addition to threatening the Jewish state, a top adviser to the Iranian foreign minister declared during a recent TV interview that “Palestine and Jerusalem will surely be liberated soon.”

Former Iranian ambassador to Syria Hossein Sheikholeslam told Iran’s IRINN TV that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad had pledged a leading role for the Islamic Republic in Syria’s reconstruction and the return of refugees following the brutal civil war that has torn asunder Assad’s nation.

According to Sheikholeslam, Iran deployed tens of thousands of missiles in Syria to protect against “American and Israeli aggression,” referring to U.S. President Donald Trump as a “tyrannical king.” Sheikholeslam added that “Palestine and Jerusalem will surely be liberated soon,” claiming that Israel should immediately leave the Golan Heights.

Prior to the reestablishment of Israel in 1948 none of the “end times” prophecies of a restored Israel with Jerusalem as its capital would have been possible particularly this prophecy by Jesus concerning His Second Coming:

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies then know its desolation is near. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things written may be fulfilled.” Luke 21: 20-21

This is a direct reference to Daniels 70 weeks prophecy. Daniel 9: 24-27
