WILL YOU ESCAPE THE COMING WRATH OF GOD?

Biblical prophesied end times Scriptures that relate to escaping God’s coming wrath.

Luke warns us to watch for that day.

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36

Paul likewise warns that destruction comes suddenly, and many will not escape.

“While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4

Joel tells us that there will be awesome celestial signs before the great, awesome day of the Lord comes.

“And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.” Joel 2:30-32

In terms of the timing of the great and awesome day of the Lord, John tells us that it is at the opening of the sixth seal that the great day of God’s wrath has come.

“When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth…. Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” Revelation 6:12,15-17

Matthew tells us that it is after the tribulation of those days that we will see the celestial signs that Joel and John say signal the coming of the awesome day of the Lord, when He sends out His angels to gather His elect from the four corners of the earth.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:31

After the trumpet blast of the seventh seal, John sees the Saints gathered before God’s throne in heaven.

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” Revelation 7:9

SIGNS OF REVIVAL IN AMERICA

Following on from my post on mass baptisms at Huntington Beach, California, something powerful is beginning to stir across America’s cultural landscape. It’s not being coordinated by media executives or political strategists, a coordinated campaign, or a viral trend. It’s a movement of the Spirit, a moment of revival.

Take “American Idol” as just one example of this massive cultural shift. The long-running music competition hosted a “Songs of Faith” episode on Easter Sunday, in which contestants performed Gospel songs and worship anthems in front of a national audience.

Special performances included Brandon Lake, Jelly Roll, CeCe Winans, and even judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan performing gospel songs. One performance after another pointed viewers to God. The show didn’t shy away from the message.

“God is good, faith and family night on #American Idol,” read the post on Instagram. The comments poured in — thousands of people expressed gratitude and praise.

Contestant Thunderstorm Artis also revealed that the special event was not the first time worship has broken out on “American Idol.” Earlier in the season, contestants joined together in worship music backstage in what has become a viral video. “It just felt like the Spirit of the Lord was in the room,” Artis said. “And I think that for me, it was when I was kind of shaky and I wasn’t sure if this was where I was supposed to be. But it was like, this is right where God wants me to be.” I believe this is more than a shift in entertainment. It’s a reflection of spiritual hunger breaking through on mainstream platforms. God is moving.

Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia and a man once immersed in the world of digital knowledge and secular innovation, recently announced his personal encounter with truth. After reading the Bible, he declared publicly, “Everyone should read the Bible daily.”

And he’s not alone. R&B and hip-hop artist Danileigh, known for chart-topping songs in the entertainment world, recently shared that she has been baptized and attends a Bible study weekly. Her public testimony reflects a deeper trend: hearts are softening, and lives are changing.

Another high-profile voice, attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan — Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s former running mate — shared her faith story. After years of practising Judaism, she made a bold and public declaration: she’s been saved and baptised. “There’s only one book,” she said, “and that’s the New Testament, that helps you understand how to go up against evil, like, to really arm yourself.”  Contrasting her life of only being exposed to the Torah in Judaism, her newfound love for the gospels and the epistles came out in her interview on the subject. 

These individual conversions may seem disconnected, but they’re part of a much larger picture – a boldness has entered our public discourse. Believers in Jesus are speaking up, using their talents, and sharing the gospel in the media.

These aren’t just feel-good stories. These stories together are mustard seeds — planted in hearts, broadcast to millions, and growing in influence. It’s happening in places you would least expect — media, music, politics, and technology. The seeds are being planted.

As Jesus said in Matthew 13:31-32, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed … though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree.” The beginnings are small. The impact is not. It is a spiritual stirring that can’t be ignored. It’s not confined to Sunday morning services or Christian conferences.

It may well be the early embers of another Great Awakening — a grassroots revival not driven by celebrity pastors or megachurch marketing, but by everyday people choosing to follow Christ and share His love in ordinary places. History shows us that true revival rarely begins in grand arenas. It starts in secret prayer closets, quiet convictions, and the unseen decisions of people who dare to live differently. Those moments seem to be happening nationwide, uniting believers in a fresh pursuit of God’s presence.

OVER 7,750 BAPTISED AT HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA

More than 7,750 people were baptized in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Huntington Beach, California, on Saturday, an event organizers say marked the largest single-day baptism in American history.

Hosted by Oceans Church and led by Pastor Mark Francey,  “Baptise California” drew approximately 30,000 attendees from more than 300 churches across the state. Participants of all ages publicly professed their faith through baptisms in the ocean or portable baptisteries positioned along the beach.

“You were part of the largest water baptism in American history,” Francey told the crowd. “Who thinks that God could do it in the other states of America?”

The mass baptism, now in its second year, exceeded last year’s turnout of 6,000 and is seen by organizers as a spiritual catalyst for an even larger national event planned for next month. Called “Baptize America,” the initiative aims to unite thousands of churches across the United States in what is described as “the largest synchronized baptism in history.”

The next event will be held on June 8 and falls on Pentecost Sunday, a date that commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles in the Christian tradition. Organizers believe the timing is symbolic and strategic, pointing to revival and national spiritual renewal.

The Baptise America campaign seeks to unite churches from diverse backgrounds around a common theological practice: the public declaration of faith through water baptism. Its website states, “This is not about any single church. It’s about united churches across the nation, pursuing the Great Commission’s fulfilment.”

IT’S DNA DAY – DNA IS A COMPLEX LANGUAGE AND INFORMATION SYSTEM

March 6th was National DNA Day in the US because on this day in 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick (both atheists) discovered the helical structure of DNA, opening up countless new avenues of research into the complex instruction manual in each of your cells (DNA is a language system and it’s incredibly complex!). And what’s really exciting is that creation scientists are leading the way in new DNA research!

Watson and Crick thought their discovery would prove life wasn’t created—but research has shown the opposite, as DNA is a complex language and information system.

Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson, one of AIG’s research scientists, has published ground breaking research on the human genome—research that’s only possible because he starts with the biblical timescale of only thousands of years. It’s absolutely fascinating what he’s been able to unravel about human history from the “stamps” in the male-inherited DNA. GOD JUST WANTS US TO BE AVAILABLE

When Moses stood before the burning bush, his simple response – “Here I am” (Exodus 3:4)- wasn’t about location. It was about readiness, availability and willingness. Like Samuel, Isaiah, and so many who’ve answered God’s call, it wasn’t about having all the answers but simply saying yes.

When God called Moses, He knew Moses didn’t feel equipped. “I am slow of speech”, Moses protested. But God replied, “Who gave human beings their mouths?” (Exodus 4:11)

God wasn’t looking for perfection. He was looking for obedience. We all have something “in our hands” that God can use. What is the gift God has given you? Is it the ability to speak, write, encourage, give finances, or leadership skills in your community, workplace, or online skills?

The point isn’t what you have. The point is that you make it available to the Lord.

TURKEY IN BIBLICAL END TIMES PROPHECY

The Ottoman Empire, also known as the Turkish Empire, began more than 700 years ago, eventually controlling Southeast Europe as well as parts of West Asia, North Africa and the Middle East up to the early 20th century. After World War I, the Allied powers partitioned the Ottoman Empire, including what the British then called Palestine.

Dr. Hay Eytan Cohen Yanarocak, Middle East Expert at the Moshe Dayan Centre for Middle Eastern and African Studies, says that December’s fall of Syrian President Bashar Assad opened the door for Erdogan, the president of Turkey to implement his goal of reviving an empire beginning with Syria. “We all witnessed that since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, the Turkish president did all he could to support the Syrian opposition. And he sees the current Syrian administration as his core ally. By providing some civilian services like paving the roads, railways, providing radar, and repairing airports and other facilities, Turkey is creating here a very important dependency from the Syrian side,” Yanarocak explained. He adds that Turkey is the only country declaring an intention to build up the new Syrian army, which the US has demanded that it destroy its chemical weapons and renounce terrorism.

On paper, Israel and Turkey have shared diplomatic relations since 1949, although Erdogan’s recent moves put that at risk. “The Turkish president, at the end of the Muslim Eid el-Fitr celebrations, he wished for the destruction of Israel. And for Israel, especially after October the 7th, you know, we cannot tolerate some future threats,” he said. Since the Assad regime fell, Israel has bombed weapons stockpiles and strategic military locations while establishing a buffer zone along its border with Syria.  Israel is concerned both with those who control Syria and with Turkey’s involvement. “They are already building governmental facilities to show sovereignty in the Syrian land as well. You see Turkey building post offices, Turkish post offices, banks, Turkish banks that are using Turkish currency, and schools,” Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel told CBN News. Haskel says Israel has two priorities regarding Syria: the safety of Israel and the protection of minorities, including the Christians, Druze, and Kurds. Then there’s Turkey.

“Turkey is a great concern in what is happening in Syria now, not just that we need to hear their declarations and their speeches of their leadership. And that’s really concerning – in particular, statements concerning this force in regard to Jerusalem. There are declarations which are a red line in regard to Israel, but it shows their intention,” Haskel said. Haskel adds that intention goes beyond Israel. “I think that after what had happened in Syria, they feel like they’re on a high horse. But that should be a great concern to all the neighbouring countries around,” she added.  President Trump recently offered to smooth out any difficulties between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Erdogan. “Any problem that you have with Turkey, I think I can solve, I mean as long as you are reasonable. You have to be reasonable. We have to be reasonable,” Trump said in a statement. Yanarocak says it’s also the first time the US could have access to Syria, which used to be under Russia’s thumb and is now being influenced by Turkey, a NATO member.

Biblical prophecy reveals in Daniel 8 that Turkey (the Goat and Sunni) puts down Iran (the Ram and Shia) in its attempt to re-establish a revived Ottoman Empire. However, we are also told that it is broken up into four, probably by the United Nations, which would not countenance the re-establishment of an Ottoman Empire that once threatened the world.

“And the goat (Turkey) had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. He came to the ram (Iran) with the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the canal, and he ran at him in his powerful wrath... And there was no one who could rescue the ram from his power. Then the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.” Daniel 8:5-8

We are also told the little horn (Antichrist) comes out of one of these Muslim nations. God has given us this information, so we should use it in our efforts to evangelise unbelievers.

“Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. It grew great, even to the host of heaven.” Daniel 8:9-10

TURKEY’S NEO-OTTOMAN REVIVAL AND BIBLICAL END TIMES PROPHECIES

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has revived Turkey’s Islamic identity. Public expressions of Islam are once again widespread, and the state increasingly invokes Ottoman imagery and imperial nostalgia. Erdoğan has even referenced aspirations toward leadership in the Muslim world, echoing the role the Ottomans once held. The transformation of Hagia Sophia from a museum into a mosque in 2020 was a watershed moment, seen by many as symbolic of Turkey’s return to its Islamic imperial roots.

The 20th century bore witness to two world wars initiated by Germany and its allies, which unleashed unparalleled destruction upon the Judeo-Christian world.

Behind these political upheavals lies a deeper, spiritual dimension, seen through prophetic Scripture and ancient symbols like the Seat of Pergamum, which some theologians associate with satanic opposition to God’s kingdom on earth.

One of the most chilling spiritual symbols associated with Germany’s role in these conflicts is the Pergamum Altar, often referred to by theologians as “the Seat of Satan.”

In Revelation 2:12-13, Jesus says to the church in Pergamum: “I know where you live — where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name…”

Pergamum, an ancient city in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey), was a centre of pagan worship and imperial cult. The Great Altar of Pergamum, built in the 2nd century BC, was dedicated to Zeus and stood as a monument to idolatry and emperor worship.

In the late 19th century, German archaeologists dismantled this altar and transported it to Berlin, where it was reconstructed in the Pergamon Museum. Some Christian scholars and intercessors believe that this relocation was more than coincidental — that Germany had, quite literally, brought the “throne of Satan” into its heart.

The timing is striking: within a few decades, Germany became the epicentre of unprecedented evil, culminating in the Holocaust and a world war that left tens of millions dead.

Adolf Hitler even delivered some of his most infamous speeches on a stage modelled after the Pergamum altar during Nazi rallies in Nuremberg. The resemblance is undeniable — and disturbing.

Could this altar be more than symbolic? Could it represent a spiritual stronghold — one that moved from Pergamum to Berlin, and which now seeks another seat?

Turkish politicians, including the mayor of the city of Izmir near the excavation site, have called for the altar’s return. In 2022, Saraya Gomis, Berlin’s state secretary for diversity and anti-discrimination at the time, weighed in to support returning the altar, as well as the Nefertiti bust.

Erdoğan’s revival of Ottoman identity involves more than cultural pride. He seeks to reclaim influence across former Ottoman territories — Syria, the Balkans, North Africa, and even Jerusalem. He speaks of the Muslim ummah (community) and positions himself as a protector of Islam globally.

This aligns ominously with Ezekiel 38–39, where Turkey (often identified with “Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah”) is part of a northern confederacy that comes against Israel. This war, led by “Gog of Magog,” is interpreted by many Christians as a major prophetic event that precedes Christ’s return.

The spirit behind such ambitions — whether Nazi fascism or Islamic imperialism — may be the same: the spirit of antichrist that seeks to replace God’s authority, oppress His people, and erect a counterfeit kingdom on the earth.

CHINA: AMERICA’S AGGRESSIVE, ESCALATING ADVERSARY

“If war is what the U.S. wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war, or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight till the end,” declared the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), in a statement reposted Tuesday by the Chinese Embassy.

President Donald Trump has engaged the CCP in a punishing spiral of escalating tariffs, which have now exceeded 100% in both directions. But the conflict is not limited to trade, as tensions grow between the U.S. and China on numerous diplomatic and military fault lines.

Taiwan produces over 60% of the world’s semiconductors and over 90% of the most advanced ones used for AI. While it makes the chips, most are designed and owned by U.S. companies. The U.S. government’s ban on the sale of these chips to China increases China’s likelihood of attacking Taiwan.

What part does China play in the Biblical end times before Jesus’ return to earth to rescue Israel and destroy the Antichrist armies that demonic spirits gather from all over the world?

“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.” Revelation 16:12-14

This scripture tells us that armies come from the east and the rest of the world. This would definitely include the Muslim nations in the east, but it could also include China, but we are not told. China and most of the Western countries of the world are not mentioned specifically in the scripture of Biblical end-times.

Jerusalem is often referred to as the city chosen by God for His dwelling. In 1 Kings 11:36, God declares, “I will give one tribe to his son, so that My servant David may always have a lamp before Me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put My Name.” This divine selection underscores Jerusalem’s unique status as a spiritual centre for Israel and a symbol of God’s presence among His people, and it is central to Biblical end-times prophecies.

“Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. On that day, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it.” Zechariah 12:2-3

WHY JESUS NEEDS TO RETURN NOW

For the first time in human history, man can tamper with his DNA under the guise of advancing evolution. Man sees himself as the captain of his destiny, able to cure diseases, overcome human limitations, and even overcome death. Rather than live with the image of God which he has and receive the cure for his fallen state, man would prefer to pretend God does not exist and attempt his own cure. Even the difference between the sexes is no longer considered God-given.

Evolutionists believe they are rapidly advancing evolution by manipulating DNA. Once man corrupts his image with animals (chimera) and demons, which happened in Noah’s day, God will step in once again and pour out His wrath upon an unrepentant world. God’s Word reveals that this is exactly what will happen when God pours out His wrath with the Trumpet (Revelation 8) and Bowl (Revelation 16) judgments.

Satan’s plan may well include persuading or even forcing mankind to change its genetic make-up, forsaking the image of the one who created us. This may be what it means to take the “mark of the Beast”. Could technology allow Satan to produce a hybrid from his own seed as Genesis 3:15 predicts? Numerous reports that alien abductees had their seed harvested to create a hybrid alien/human race supports this hypothesis.

The transhumanism (posthumanism) movement is all about going beyond being human and evolving into superhumans. Thank goodness God has told us what He allows Satan to do in advance, so we can be prepared and get in step with what He has called us to do.
