WHAT HAPPENS TO CHILDREN WHEN YOU TAKE GOD OUT OF THEIR WORLDVIEW

Newly released data from the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) Social-Emotional Wellbeing survey of around 500,000 primary and secondary students between 2018 and 2023 reveals a generation deep in emotional crisis and lacking the tools to manage their emotions. Girls at all ages are struggling to cope more than boys. “Many indicators of wellbeing examined in the survey have worsened and barely any have improved despite all the genuine attention and effort by schools and parents and the millions of dollars spent to fund youth wellbeing programs, ‘’ the survey’s author Michael Bernard, California State University Emeritus Professor, and former Melbourne University Professor, said.

The ACER data is collated from the well-being surveys completed by students undertaken by schools seeking to get a handle on the extent of the challenge. It captures kids from all states and territories and from both government and non-government schools.

Australia’s primary school-age children are angrier, lonelier, more anxious, and less able to control their emotions than they were 5 years ago, new research finds, despite the increased societal concern for childhood wellbeing and focus on resilience. The picture is no less bleak in secondary school, where more than one in two students say they feel “very stressed”, an upward trend since 2003, and 56% say they have a hard time controlling their sense of worry.

Professor Bernard said the new numbers were staggering, even before looking at recent trends. “The numbers are bad for young primary schoolkids and get worse as they get older.” The survey reports one in three (32 percent) of the more than 300,000 primary school-age students say they “feel bad for long periods”, and almost half (44 percent) say they can’t calm down quickly when they feel bad. In secondary school, 53 percent of the 180,000 surveyed say they feel “very stressed”. By year 12 it is 77 percent of girls and 55 percent of boys. Adolescent mental health expert and psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg said his practice had been deluged with “so many extremely anxious, extremely depressed kids.” “In my 30 years in the field I’ve never seen anything like the level of stress and anxiety that today’s children and adolescents are going through,” Dr Carr-Gregg said.

What these psychologists fail to mention is the key factor that is impacting the mental health of teens. It is the teaching of evolution as a fact in schools, even Christian schools. The Big Bang and Evolution remove God from His creation and make the Bible a book of fables and myths. It also removes any purpose or meaning to life. There is no hope or knowledge of the God who loves His creation and has provided a way back into a right relationship with Him and the promise of eternal life.

YFC REACHING GEN Z WITH 3STORY WAY OF LIFE

The American ministry Youth for Christ (YFC) is reporting a 20% increase in the number of young people they saw turning to Christ in 2023. The report also shows exciting trends of evangelism amongst young believers. It reveals that in the US, nearly 8000 teenagers gave their lives to Jesus under the ministry’s outreach last year. The ministry also claims that 25% more children were sharing their faith with their peers compared to 2022. Youth for Christ’s CEO and President, Jake Bland, has called it a “rising metric of young leaders” – saying that Generation Z seems to be much more open to discussions. “They are living out YFC’s ‘3Story way of life’ and it’s this rising metric of young leaders that has our full attention.

The report noted that compared to last year:

  • Seven percent more teens made a first-time decision for Christ.
  • Thirty-eight percent more students engaged with local churches this year.
  • Twenty-one percent more kids began sharing their faith with their friends.

“Because of God’s faithfulness, 2,907 kids became multipliers of the hope of Christ!” Bland enthused. Yet even as YFC looks back on the year of ministry, Bland notes the numbers only matter because they tell a story.

MANY YOUNG PEOPLE SEEK GOD

RING IN 2024 WITH REVIVAL: Well over 100,000 young people gathered to seek God over the New Year and to ring in 2024 with revival.

55,000 at Passion in Atlanta 10,000 at Cross Con in Kentucky 7,000 at Cru National Gathering 5,000 at Salt Conference in Iowa 13,500 at Strength to Stand in Tennessee (multiple) 12,000 at Hearts on Fire in Tennessee (Nov) 7,000 at Xtreme in Missouri.

Of course, there is no way to even begin to calculate the millions of people who gathered at local churches to seek God across the nation and worldwide. Also, countless churches are now calling their congregants to fast and pray at the beginning of the new year.

I was personally there. I’ve never felt the Holy Spirit so strong in a place. 55,000 people came to one place to worship the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD! I will never forget the feeling and connection we all had. This moment I will always remember there is hope in this world.

BIBLICAL PROPHESIED LAST DAYS APOSTASY

Wheaton College (1860) (like so many other supposed Christian institutions) has compromised God’s Word in Genesis for a long time. This college also became soft on the LGBTQ issue and other social issues and now is being impacted (not surprisingly) by the woke culture.

Nearly 10 years ago, Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis wrote this in an article about Wheaton College (a college that has produced a science textbook teaching evolution and millions of years as fact): when a Christian institution compromises God’s Word in Genesis, this will eventually put it on a slippery slide of unbelief with the rest of Scripture and Christian doctrine.

Wheaton College was often called the ‘Harvard of Christian Schools’ due to its academic rigor being relatively comparable to the Ivy League titan. Its graduates of note range from Billy Graham to Dan Coates, former Director of National Intelligence and U.S. senator.

But now, the school in the leafy suburb west of Chicago has begun to mimic Harvard’s wokeness. Banning biblical words, teaching critical race theory, and psychologizing gender identity issues. This may not seem extreme in modern academia. But for a school that houses the works of Rev. Graham, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien, it is adrift from its orthodox, Christian moorings. What happens to these institutions happens to most of the students who attend them as they are indoctrinated in compromise on God’s Word and increasingly in woke philosophy.

WHO CAUSED DEATH, DISEASE, AND SUFFERING IN THIS WORLD?

For those Christians who believe in millions of years, it is only logical that the world as we see it today with all its groaning has gone on like this for millions of years before man. This then puts the blame on God for death, disease, and suffering. But God’s Word blames our sin!

No, one can’t add millions of years into Scripture. To do so is to attack the character of God and undermine the authority of the Word of God.

When God originally created everything, it was “very good.” There was no death, disease, or suffering. But because we (in Adam) sinned against our holy God (we committed high treason against God by our outright disobedience), God judged that disobedience with death and the curse (Genesis 3:14–19; Romans 5:12).

“Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned… The good news is ”For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:12, 17

It must be remembered that there was a supernatural entity, Satan, involved in deceiving Eve and Adam into disobeying God. He is a fallen angel who we are told rebelled against God because he wanted to be God.

Satan is called the “prince of the power of the air” in Ephesians 2:2. He is the “ruler of this world” in John 12:31. These titles and many more signify Satan’s capabilities. To say, for example, that Satan is the “prince of the power of the air” is to signify that in some way he rules over the world and the people in it. This is not to say that he rules the world completely; God is still sovereign. But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him.

We know from Biblical prophecy that all of the O.T. prophets were told that their Messiah would eventually rule Israel (Acts 3:24), the nation God established for His purposes. Almost 2,000 Biblical prophecies are of Jesus’ return to this Earth first to rescue His Saints and pour out His wrath upon an unrepentant world. Jesus then returns to Earth with the glorified Saints to rule and reign the nations with a rod of iron for 1000 years. Satan has ruled this world for 6,000 years but now he is bound in chains for most of the thousand years. He is released at the end of the thousand years and we are told that he is still able to raise an army of rebellious people to come against Jesus and the Saints. Fire from heaven consumes them and it is at this stage God destroys the old heaven and earth. Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom is a transition period.

It is after the second resurrection and the White Throne judgement that John sees a magnificent new Jerusalem descending from a new Heaven onto a new Earth where there will be no more death, disease, pain, or suffering. It will be a restoration (Acts 3:20–21). If death, disease, and suffering have been here since God created life, then it makes no sense that there will be a restoration to a new heaven and earth with no death and suffering.

ATHEIST VIEW OF AI VERSUS CHRISTIAN VIEW OF AI

Naturalistic evolutionists argue that non-material things such as consciousness and emotion must be computable because humans experience these. This argument rests on the faulty assumption that humans are nothing more than meat-based computers. In such thinking our conscious experience of reality is merely the neural networks in our brain performing mathematical calculations through electrochemical reactions. They claim that everything we think, dream about, desire, and plan to do is determined by the laws of physics and chemistry. This is called eliminative materialism, or atheism taken to (consistent) extremes.10 Thus, since eliminative materialists believe that such things are all the result of pure computation in our brains, they see no reason to doubt that a computer could one day do these.

The Bible makes it clear, however, that there is more to us than our material body. We have a non-material spirit, and soul, and our consciousness is more than just electrochemical reactions in our brain.

“The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.” Proverbs 20:27 As the spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, it requires oil to function. It was always meant to be the vessel of the Holy Spirit. When we repent and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour God the Father sends the Holy Spirit to once again indwell our spirit (the lamp of the Lord). We can then function as the Lord intended.

“And as her (Rachel’s) soul was departing (for she was dying)…” Genesis 35:18. Rachel’s soul departed and went to Sheol which before Jesus’ resurrection was the holding place of all souls.

There is also substantial and tantalizing evidence from the work of brain researchers that the mind in some way exists independent of the brain. The pioneering work of Wilder Penfield, built on by fellow neurosurgeon Michael Egnor, is notable in this regard.11 The argument that such things can be computable because humans experience them is thus unsound because it is based on a faulty premise.

As a very powerful tool, AI can and will be used for evil purposes—like the internet has been. It may also lead to substantial social upheaval, as AI supplants many jobs. Many of these will be ‘white-collar’ roles once thought safe from robotic takeover.

However, just like the internet, AI will also be used for great good and to greatly improve our lives. I encourage fellow Christians to approach AI with wisdom, being aware of its risks and limitations, but willing to embrace its potential to be a very powerful tool for God’s kingdom.

TIME TO STAND COURAGEOUSLY FOR GOD AND HIS COMMANDMENTS

THE LEADERS BEING ELECTED INTO HIGH OFFICE IN THE USA

All of America’s financial problems have been solved by the economic mastermind, Jamaal Bowman. We simply have to create the money out of thin air and give it to people according to the wishes of politicians. Jamal Bowman is a congressman representing constituents in New York City.

His latest crusade is to demand that descendants of former slaves receive, “at a minimum”, a whopping $14 trillion worth of reparations. Bear in mind that $14 trillion is more than half the size of the entire US economy, more than three times federal tax revenue. It’s an absurd amount of money… raising an obvious question: where in the world does he think this money will come from considering the national debt is already $34 trillion?

“Where did the money come from,” Bowman asked, “when Covid was destroying us?” His answer? “We spent it into existence.”

Don’t worry, Bowman says, the MINIMUM $14 trillion he’s proposing doesn’t have to be paid all at once. It could be paid over 5 to 10 years.

Can you believe 133,567 voters in the greater New York City area saw fit to elect Jamaal in a landslide victory? History indicates that bad economic times and financial crises tend to give fanatical socialists the opportunity to win elections. They promise the world– free money for everyone, with no consequences and plenty of voters are gullible enough to believe the lies.

Thank goodness Jesus is returning soon to restore righteousness on this Earth with his millennial reign.

“Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also, I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

PROPHESIED ROLE OF MUSLIMS IN THE END TIMES

We have to understand that on October 7th, 2023 something unbelievable happened in Israel. Something that’s really beyond imagination. Hamas fighters — but not only them, because it was Islamic Jihad, random Gazans came into Israel [too] — penetrated into the kibbutzim, to the villages around Gaza, and basically butchered 1,200 Israelis [including] kids in their beds. They raped women, they beheaded babies. They slaughtered parents in front of their kids and took 240 of them into Gaza.

When we hear politicians or protestors calling for a two-state solution, we need to remember that Israel tried that. In fact, many Israelis gave up their own land in 2005 to make it work. What was the outcome: Since 2001, Palestinian militants have launched tens of thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip and now the Hamas invasion with unspeakable terror.  A poll conducted in September 2014 found that 80% of Palestinians support firing rockets against Israel

Within the Muslim Middle East, everything is very simple. … If you’re weak, we will come and kill you. This is how it goes. … Hamas succeeded in doing something that all the Arab armies hadn’t succeeded in doing in 75 years. Hamas invaded Israel in one day. And if the Palestinians get a state at the end of it, it means it was worth it.

If Israel is forced into a two-state solution, what will happen next? “Radical Islam, because of it, will raise its head all over the world. We can already see it. It began in Europe. You can already see they’re telling the Christians in Europe, ‘We want to apply Sharia rules here in your countries, you are our slaves.’ This is how they treat Christians in Europe today. This is what they want to see in America. This is what they want to see in the entire Western civilization and they will never give up.

This is spiritual warfare and Biblical end times prophecy tells us that it will only get more intense.

Satan is about to be cast out of heaven and he knows his time is short. Note what it says about Earth: “But woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 12:12

“Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Revelation 12:7-9

End times Biblical prophecy tells us that the next war will be between the Muslims, Turkey (Sunni) will seek to establish a revived Ottoman Empire and will defeat Iran (Shia) which is currently trying to establish its dominance in the Middle East through its proxies Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and Houthis in Yemen, as well as its proxies in Iraq and Syria. We are then told that Turkey’s efforts are short-lived and it is broken up into four probably by the United Nations forces. It is out of one of these four that the “Little Horn”, the Antichrist arises (Daniel 8:9). He will be of Muslim descent and be seen by them as their long-awaited Mahdi. Just look at the percentage of Muslims in each country that expect the Mahdi to return in their lifetime.
