PAPUA NEW GUINEA PRIME MINISTER’S SPEECH AT COUNTRY’S NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

“Let me first thank the Body of Christ, (which I believe, consists of all Christian Churches), and the Department of Community Development and Religion for organizing and facilitating this platform on which I stand today to make this statement, in my capacity as the 8th Prime Minister of our Nation. People of Papua New Guinea, today, I stand here before God and His people with an overarching thought which permeates my spirit “That a nation who fears the Lord God of the Universe, shall be blessed”.   In my heart, I know that this day marks, not just a National Occasion in our National Calendar but a grand occasion. I emphasize – a grand occasion because today marks a day on which our Nation invokes the Creator of all things, to intervene in our national affairs.

Our National Day of Prayer and Dependence speaks of us acknowledging the God of Israel as our strength against enemies, source of sustenance, and origin of our very existence. Therefore, the value of this occasion is far greater than every other occasion on our National Calendar. My brothers and sisters, this day is different in that it is not a National Public Holiday, rather it is a solemn day of our people coming together in unison, to bow before God in humility and prayer, seeking His forgiveness, love, and direction in a turbulent time of confusion, fear and panic. As leaders in the public domain, occasions and events are our norms, but I do not take such an event of this value and greatness today, lightly.

Today, the Nation of Papua New Guinea rises in one voice, reaffirming our deepest convictions regarding fundamental issues that matter most to us as a Nation. As you all know, we have declared our intention to “Take Back our Nation and make it the richest Christian Nation on Earth”. The occasion today is grand because I stand here with this vision, seeking God’s wisdom, His strength, and direction so that He may establish His eternal will and purpose for us as a Nation just as He prayed, “thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, or in Papua New Guinea, as it is in heaven.”  Brothers and Sisters, this day must not be confused with our traditional days of worship. This is the National Day of Prayer and Repentance, declared and gazetted by the Government of Papua New Guinea.

Therefore, I, as the Prime Minister of our Nation, stand here today, not as an invited Guest to a Church meeting. Rather, I stand here today as the Chief Executing Officer of the Government of Papua New Guinea, paying homage and tribute to the King of the Universe, the Lord Jesus Christ, invoking His unmerited favour and grace upon my Government for the sake of His Name and for the sake of His own people of this blessed nation. So, I stand to Offer to our King, the Highest Order of Protocol by leading and officiating on this Prayer Occasion with a higher purpose to cause the People of our Land to come with me to stand before our God in Solemn Prayer and declaration of our collective faith without fear, intimidation, and shame.

I stand today before our God, to call on our mothers, our fathers, our sisters and our brothers, our girls and our boys including our substances and our possessions, our visitors and friends from other Nations, to pause for a moment with me, to acknowledge the most high God of the Universe, the God of Israel, who is now our God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Distinguished worshippers, brothers and sisters, I take this occasion as a Servant of the Most High God, appointed and mandated by grace, in His season and timing, to be His mouthpiece and His instrument, to unleash a message that is unquenchably burning and fiercely yearning in the heart of every genuine Citizen of our Land. I must state from the outset, that I have one business that I must complete, for which I had made it vehemently clear on the day I took Office as the Prime Minister.

For this reason, I was born and raised, and for which I am prepared to sacrifice and forego everything that the World could offer, and it is the message of our unshakable, unerasable heritage, crafted by the hand of God, meticulously and miraculously, giving us our national sovereignty, our very identity, and our priceless gift of national unity. The National Day of Prayer is the most important event of our National Calendar, which symbolizes this special blend of National Sovereignty, under which 864 known language groups of our land are gloriously woven into one united people, one Nation. We truly are the United Nation on earth, the United Tribes of Paradisia.  Ladies and Gentlemen, listen to my words attentively and carefully. I came today to discuss without any apology, the very spirit of our Sovereign State, the very being of our Nationhood.

We are not just another collection of people aggregated into a particular geographical location, demarcated by a political boundary. We are put here by design, not by fluke or by evolutionary chance. This is what I have come to announce and discuss with you on this solemn occasion. The message is very simple and clear, yet so deeply profound, that it is impossible to be resisted, stopped, or destroyed. The World would desire so much to know “how such a difficult and diverse people, trapped in rugged terrains and scattered atolls, could be brought together as one people.  How could any leader possibly carve a Nation out of an extremely fragmented tribal people? What really was the undercurrent power that worked day and night to aggregate a greatly diverse people into one Nation? What power indeed colonized our people and created a modern PNG?

Today, I came to discuss these questions and reaffirm the answer. The answer that I came to deliver today is coded wonderfully in these few words that I have thoughtfully selected: It was our colonial masters that gave us independence, (and we thank God for them) but listen to me, it was the word of God that made us, it was the Bible that made Papua New Guinea, it was God who gave us our identity and established our national sovereignty and our modern history. Therefore, today we came together to reaffirm our faith and declare in unison, that our nationhood hangs entirely and safely on our faith in God as our Creator, Jesus Christ as God’s only begotten Son and our Saviour, and the Bible as the infallible Word of God, which are the fundamentals of our common Christian Faith, that made us who we are.

We came today to trumpet this message throughout our Land and “shout again for the whole World to hear” who we are. We are here with this intent and purpose. I am overly delighted today to know that the preamble to our Constitution acknowledges the “guiding hand of God” who led this Nation of a thousand tribes, 864 known different languages and cultures to be stitched into one independent sovereign State.  Lest we forget, this solemn occasion today tells the story of how a greatly fragmented nation on Earth with 1000 tribes, was meticulously woven into one single nation! Our Nation is one of the last “Wonders of the World”, so greatly divided geographically, culturally, and linguistically, yet so miraculously stitched into one people. This is our timeless gift from the Lord through the work of the early missionaries.

Therefore, lest we forget, this occasion today also marks a solemn moment to reflect on the selfless sacrifices that the earlier missionaries and our pioneering converts made, to give us our National Identity and our Unity that is solidly founded on the Word of God. It was the work of the early missionaries and the early converts with the Word of God in their hands, who made the biggest and most profound difference in our modern history. The missionaries and our local pioneering church leaders with the message of salvation, love, and forgiveness, were the frontiers and undercurrent power that worked tirelessly day and night making untold sacrifices. It was the work of the early Christian Churches that laid the foundation for our unification well before we were given Independence in 1975.

Today, we came together to remind ourselves, that this is an unerasable part of our national history that transcends our diversity and inspires our shared history as one people. The early political parties such as Pangu Pati undoubtedly rode on the waves that were created by the power of the Gospel, to unite our Nation. It is therefore fitting also that the Pangu Pati, which led the fragmented Nation into independence, riding on that wave, will yet again, after 40 years, under my leadership, consolidate the true and timeless foundation of our national sovereignty, our identity, and our unity. Today, we came together to reflect on the power that made us. Many of us are products of the early Missionaries. If not all, a vast majority of learned Papua New Guineans today were impacted by the Church and the Church-run schools in one way or another.

All our founding leaders were trained, coached, and mentored by early Missionaries. Many current leaders are sons of either missionaries, or Pastors, or church workers. One of them is standing before you today to speak to you.  We are here today, also to remind ourselves of the work of our founding fathers who, under the guiding hand of God thoughtfully constructed our Constitution, and directed the citizens of this Nation to “guard and pass on to those who come after us our “noble traditions” and the “Christian principles” that are ours”. Drawing from, and giving effect to, the moral foundation laid in the preamble of our Constitution, the founding father of our Nation, Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare, officially dedicated our Nation to God on this day, in 2007, and declared it a “National Day of Prayer.

On this occasion, as the 8th Prime Minister of PNG, I want to pay special tribute to our founding fathers for laying the Foundation correct, for the succeeding generations to build on.  On this note, I must also acknowledge the significant event that took place on the 31st of July 2015. On that day, our leaders on the Floor of Parliament unanimously passed a motion to place the antique 400-year-old King James Bible in the chamber of our National Parliament. My predecessor, Hon. Peter O’Neil declared the Bible the “national treasure” of Papua New Guinea. Honourable Peter O’Neill, willingly accepted the antique Bible before a sea of people at Jackson Airport on 27th April 2015 and further directed the Bible to be placed in Parliament by a motion, introduced by the Governor of Southern Highlands, Honourable William Powi, representing the Prime Minster, for which, I pay tribute, on behalf of the people of Papua New Guinea.

This action is of historical significance, reaffirming our collective and undeniable resolve as a fully pledged Christian Nation on Earth. It is a symbolic act that recognizes PNG as a Bible-believing nation. It is a symbolic act that acknowledges the great work of missionaries in uniting the country into one Nation through the preaching of the Bible. It is a significant symbolic act that will go down in history and long remembered for many generations to come because the Bible stand above all development models and belief systems as the source of our national identity and our national unity. It signifies our resolve that the principles of the Bible must influence policies for long-term development of our Nation as reflected in Strategic Pillar 6 of our Vision 2050.

If there is one task yet to be executed on our National Journey: that is to formalize our resolve by an Act of Parliament to declare PNG a Christian nation and protect the Bible as a symbol of our Christian faith and our National Treasure. It is my commitment today to work with the Church and our people to ensure that we achieve this goal. To this end, today, I announce to the Nation that my Cabinet has approved a law to go before Parliament to officially declare “PNG a Christian nation”. God’s people of Papua New Guinea, I request you today to join me in acknowledging God’s grace and his faithfulness upon our Nation, by ensuring that this law is passed on the floor of Parliament. Drawing from the strength of the Christian Church and the declarations of the former Prime Ministers, I stand today, to commit myself to this one cause, to introduce this Law on the Floor of Parliament to capture and protect the historical heritage of our faith, and to declare that we shall always seek God’s guidance for our development and direction.

I represent our collective view that Papua New Guinea is made up of a thousand nations within a nation. We are culturally and linguistically diverse. The natural divisions are obvious. The risk of disintegration is real. Unless we, as a nation, can quickly identify and embrace a common ideology as the basis of our National Unity for our common good, we are threatened by dangerous external forces and competing ideas that are detrimental to our Christian heritage which is the source of our democratic strength. PNG as a member of the global community, is open to competing ideas that have the potential to destroy our unity, our identity, our Christian values and Constitutional democracy. How can we craft a thousand tribes into a single nation? What will be the basis to unite this nation, the common ideal?

I have a moral duty to protect that which is near and dear to the very fabric of our people’s survival as a Nation. You and I are presented with a moral responsibility to build this nation on the sure principles of the Word of God as the historical roots of our National Unity as it provides the only common ideals. Therefore, let us all as a united and peaceful Papua New Guinea, as one people, take heed to God’s Word and act accordingly as leaders and citizens to keep proclaiming our well-founded motto: “One Nation and One People” founded solidly on the sure Word of God. This is the undeniable truth about us and our proud and lasting legacy to pass on to the next generation.

In Conclusion:  Today, I am privileged to also announce that, after this program, we will proceed to the Boulevard in front of the National Parliament to launch a monument called National Identity and Unity Pillar, which symbolically captures the history of our journey to sovereignty and nationhood, which I have just explained. The fundament truth that I have echoed today, must be inscribed on every monument and tablet, lest we forget. It must be written in every book and institutionalized in every school curriculum. This truth, our heritage, must be preached, taught, and passed on from one generation to another. It must be heralded from the mountain to the sea….it must be trumpeted again and again for the whole to hear, lest we forget the power that made our modern Papua New Guinea.

Therefore, the Unity Pillar, for which I will officiate the launching ceremony shortly after this program, is a physical embodiment of our sacred and precious national history, which must be practically represented and declared, for ourselves and for the whole world to know that we are a Christian Nation. I am compelled by our short but yet profound history, to begin the process of rebuilding and restoring our nation founded on Christ the solid rock. The Foundation Stone of the Unity Pillar has been cut out of a precious gemstone known as Jasper, which is described in the Book of Revelation Chapter 21 and Verse 19, as the first Foundation Stone of the walls of the City of New Jerusalem. Ladies and Gentlemen, on this precious gemstone, symbolizing our National Foundation, shall be written the timeless Words from the first Book of Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 11 which shall read: “for other foundations can no man lay than that is laid, which is Christ Jesus”.

This is the sum total, the consummation of our short historical journey and the direction that we must take into the future. Brothers and sisters, as we leave this place, with this message of our National Identity and Unity, which provides the justification for declaring PNG a Christian nation, may the Lord bless and keep us. May His face shine on us and give us His Peace. May the Lord of the Bible, who united us and gave us our National Identity as a Christian Nation, strengthen our faith against all forces of darkness. May our hearts continue to glow and radiate the spirit of unity through the love of God, His life, His vision, and His direction for PNG, and that the world may know that God has given no other Name under heaven, by whom humanity shall be saved except Christ and him alone. To this end, I vow to commit myself. Amen.

WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF YOUR FAITH?

A.W. Tozer wrote, “The man of pseudo faith will fight for his verbal creed but refuse flatly to allow himself to get into a predicament where his future must depend upon that creed being true. He always provides himself with secondary ways of escape so he will have a way out if the roof caves in. What we need very badly these days is a company of Christians who are prepared to trust God as completely now as they know they must do at the last day (facing death).”

Sadly, Jesus tells us that in the last days before His return when persecution of Christians increases there will be a great falling away/apostasy, and those with pseudo faith will not endure. Already we are seeing institutional churches compromising with the world on issues such as homosexual pastors, gay marriage, and now transgenderism. Every age has its defectors, but the falling away at the end times will be extensive and worldwide. The whole planet will be in rebellion against God and His Christ. Every coup requires a leader, and into this global apostasy will step the Antichrist.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed (Antichrist), the son of perdition” 2 Thessalonians 2:3

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared ” 1 Timothy 4:1-3

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:9-12

We should not be surprised, persecution comes with the territory of being a Christian and living out our faith.

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13

The Parable of the Sower is also relevant here: The seed that fell on the rocky ground in the time of testing fell away. “And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away.” Luke 8:13

THE FUTURE OF ISRAEL IS KNOWABLE

The end of the story for Israel is wonderful. Jesus (Israel’s Messiah) will rule all the nations of the world from a new Jerusalem established on the highest mountain in a world that has been restructured by God by pouring out His wrath upon an unrepentant world with the Trumpet (Revelation 8) and Bowl (Revelation 16) judgements.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath. Thus says the Lord: I have returned to Zion and will dwell amid Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain… Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. Thus says the Lord of hosts: If it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the Lord of hosts? Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, and I will bring them to dwell amid Jerusalem. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.” Zechariah 8:2-8

“Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths. And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them.” Zechariah 14:16-17

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, even the inhabitants of many cities. The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord and to seek the Lord of hosts; I myself am going.’ Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’” Zechariah 8:20-23

My next post will provide the prophesied details of the terrible persecution the Jews will suffer under the Antichrist before Jesus returns to rescue them at the battle of Armageddon. During the great tribulation, God does His utmost to bring the Jews to the truth of their Messiah by sending two witnesses with incredible power. The same two that appeared with Jesus on Mt. Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah. They will prophesy for 1260 days

“And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth… They have the power to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire.” Revelation 11:3,6

What happens next reveals a great deal about the power of Satan and his relationship with God. God allows the satanically empowered Antichrist to kill the two witnesses and have a moment of celebration but then God shows his overwhelming power to turn things around and demonstrate He is in control at all times.

“And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them, and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days some from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a tomb, and those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth. But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them. And at that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.“ Revelation 11:7-13

This is apocalyptic evangelism. Using Scriptures to show the truth of God’s Word and therefore of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the only way to receive salvation.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Sam Altman is looking ahead to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) — and a quiet life

The CEO of OpenAI made a big splash this year in Davos, where AI was referenced in nearly every session. As part of the official WEF agenda, Altman sat on a panel in Congress Hall, the event’s largest meeting venue, with the CEOs of corporate heavyweights Accenture, Pfizer, and Salesforce, along with British finance minister Jeremy Hunt. On the conference sidelines, at a lunch hosted by Salesforce co-founder Marc Benioff, Altman was the surprise guest speaker — and the victim of a minor grilling by Benioff about his personal goals for the next 10 years.

“In our industry, people are always overestimating [what they can accomplish] in a year but underestimating what they’re able to do in one decade and certainly in a couple of decades,” Benioff said. “So tell me, in one decade, where is your mind? What would you like to have under your belt, fully accomplished? Where do you see yourself? Where would you be living? What would you be doing? … What is going on? Give us the full picture now.”

After the laughter died down, the recently married Altman replied, “I think the definition of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) has become so fuzzy, it’s sort of irrelevant. But I think in a decade we will have made something that most people will consider AGI. I hope to be working on that, watching this wonderful world unfold, living on our ranch, raising our kids, having as quiet of a life as I can.”

Somebody needs to tell Altman that the only way he can have a peaceful life is when he acknowledges God as our Creator, fears Him, and accepts His offer of salvation by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.

God has told us what will unfold in the years ahead and it is not peaceful. It will be a time of escalating tribulation for Christians and Jews that the world has never experienced before. God will use the persecution to purify His church. Already we are seeing much of the institutional church, falling away, compromising with the world on issues such as homosexual pastors, gay marriage, and transgenderism.

God gives us a picture of the apostate church. It is the Church of Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22). Jesus comes to rapture His church (Church of Philadelphia – Revelation 3:8-13) before God pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world with the Trumpet (Revelation 8&9) and Bowl judgements (Revelation 16).

Our unrepentant family and friends need to be warned of what they are facing if they do not repent of their rebellion against God and accept His offer of salvation and eternal life achieved by God’s son, Jesus.

“For our sake, he (God the Father) made Him (Jesus Christ – God the Son) to be sin who knew no sin so that in Him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

The judgements escalate as we proceed through the Trumpet and Bowl judgements. Let me show you what people on Earth face at the fifth Trumpet judgement.

“And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit… Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.” Revelation 19:1, 3-6

This is what is called apocalyptic evangelism. Using the many end times Biblical prophecies to show the truth of God’s Word and the consequences of not fearing the God who created them in His image to be in relationship with Him.

WEF officials made it clear that public health measures will play a role in their plans, despite some of its most prominent considerations proving counterproductive. World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus refused to answer Canadian journalist Andrew Lawton’s question about whether he would reject lockdowns as a public health measure for future pandemics. During COVID-19, Ghebreyesus implied lockdowns did not go far enough. “Physically distancing restrictions are only part of the equation,” he said. “Early case finding, testing, isolating, caring for every case and tracing every contact is essential.” The China-backed doctor’s silence is significant, as he is proposing a massive expansion of its authority through a global pandemic treaty, as well as controversial guidelines to expand abortion and transgenderism.

Lockdowns won the praise of WEF panelist Dr. Sangrit Reddy, vice president of Apollo Hospitals, who said in India, “the fact that there was early intervention of vaccination, there was a lockdown” helped tremendously and that such mandates will be “important going forward.” She also hoped artificial intelligence could “find and detect the problem so early that we can prepare for interventions.”

Climate change will also be weaponized as a “health crisis,” said John Kerry’s daughter, Vanessa Kerry, who is co-founder and CEO of Seed Global Health. “The climate crisis is a health crisis, fundamentally. And that actually means it is a crisis, therefore, also, of our stability, our security, our economic growth, and our fundamental survival as a globe,” said Kerry inarticulately on Tuesday. Since “we are losing progress on [the U.N.’s] Sustainable Development Goals,” nations “have to phase our fossil fuels, ‘cause this is a crisis of burning fossil fuels.”

As I have mentioned many times, what has transpired at this and previous WEF meetings mirrors UN activities. Their relentless march towards a one-world government demonstrates the truth of God’s Word and end-times Biblical prophecy which tells us of a coming one-world government.

This is Part 7, the last of the reports on the WEF 2024 Meeting. In the Bible, the number seven often symbolizes completion or perfection. Hence it is appropriate that what happened, despite the bad ideas pervading this and every World Economic Forum, this year’s Davos conference featured notes of dissent. Perhaps eyeing the reality of a Donald Trump presidency, WEF invited some bona fide conservatives to speak, cramming them mostly onto the same panel on Thursday. For some reason God wanted the delegates to hear the following messages.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts boldly confronted World Economic Forum attendees with a harsh reality: “You are part of the problem.” WEF attendees spout misinformation on such issues as illegal immigration, liberal cities’ crime spree, climate change, WHO’s global advocacy of extreme gender ideology, and the threat posed by the People’s Republic of China. “China, the No. 1 adversary not just to the United States, but to free people on planet Earth. Not only do we at Davos not say that, we give the Chinese Communist Party a platform,” Roberts said.

President of Argentina Javier Millei delivered a bold address denouncing government interference in the marketplace. Such policies, whether described as fascism, socialism, social democracy, or command-and-control economics broadly, inevitably destroy wealth while enriching the tiny elite who preside over the state. Sky News Australia compared his scathing anti-socialist critique to Ricky Gervais’s speech at the Golden Globes in 2020. Millei wants to “make Argentina a place that is free from globalists, free from their anti-human agenda,” Larry Taunton, who attended WEF 2024, told “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” last Thursday.

President of Hungary Katalin Novák pushed back against the WEF’s advocacy for prolonging Ukraine’s war with Russia. “We have to avoid a Third World War,” she said, including not getting militarily involved in the war between Russia and Ukraine, “and avoid the escalation of the war.”

Roberts said it best: The next U.S. president should see to it that “every single member of the administration needs to compile a list of everything that has ever been proposed at the World Economic Forum and object to all of them wholesale.”

Even more wonderful was to hear him say that one thing that must be done is conspicuous acts of kindness to the people of Gaza. However, it followed: Hamas must be destroyed and the education of children in Gaza must include: the killing of Jews or anybody is wrong. Also, good to learn what he is doing with Twitter/X. MIKE JOHNSON GOT IT RIGHT – JOE BIDEN WAS GOD’S APPOINTMENT FOR PRESIDENT

The House Speaker, Republican Mike Johnson, was asked by an unidentified member of the media at the weekly press conference for GOP leadership on Jan. 17 whether he thinks President Joe Biden’s victory in the bitterly contested and politically heated campaign was, in fact, “God’s will.”

Johnson, a 51-year-old Evangelical who was elected speaker last fall after receiving the backing of former President Donald Trump, told reporters he believes Biden’s victory “must have been God’s will” because of his personal faith in the Scriptures.

“I said in my speech before I took the gavel that, look, I’m a Bible-believing Christian, right? A Bible-believing Christian believes what the Bible says, right?” Johnson replied. “The Bible says that God is the one who raises up people in authority.”

He explained that not only does he believe God is “sovereign,” but that America’s Founding Fathers held a similar view. Johnson pointed to the Declaration of Independence, a document he said shows the Founding Fathers “acknowledge[d] that our rights don’t come from government, they come from God, and we’re made in His image. “Everybody’s made the same,” added Johnson. “We all are given equal rights and value and that’s something that we defend.”

Based on those beliefs, he said, “then you believe that God is the one that allows people to be raised in authority.” “Biden’s election must have been God’s will then. That’s my belief,” said Johnson.

At times, God ensures we get the government we deserve so that we live with the consequences. Fortunately, God has shown us what will unfold in the future as the world turns its back on God and lives as if he does not exist.

In the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:36-39, Luke 17:26-27) Jesus told us that in the last days before He returns to Earth to enforce righteousness the world will be like it was in the days of Noah, evil and lawlessness will abound. We are even told that Satan and His demons are cast out of heaven and Satan knowing his time is short takes over the body of the Antichrist and declares himself to be God. During the reign of the Antichrist, for Christians, it will be like the time of the early church, it will be a time of great persecution. It will also be a time for the church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to shine, knowing their redemption is close.

“For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:26-28

A persistent discomfort pulsed through the 2024 World Economic Forum: the possibility Donald Trump will defeat Joe Biden this November. To compensate, multiple speakers discussed the joys of circumventing democracy and hemming in Trump, or any elected leader who represents the average man instead of Davos Man.

“How are we assessing the election risk? There is a risk the wrong leaders will get elected,” declared Bloomberg TV’s Haslinda Amin while moderating WEF’s panel on global risks. To assure WEF had no doubts about who the “wrong leaders” might be, Alex Soros claimed Friday that America had an “unwritten” system of checks and balances until “one man, Donald Trump, literally came in and just took that all away.”

“So, what Trump is a monster at is, sort of, completely rattling and bringing down, sort of, the structures of institutions,” added Soros’s fellow panelist Rachel Botsman, who describes herself as “a world-renowned expert on an explosive new era of trust and technology”, and yet she delivered this babble. “Democracy often depends on trustworthy systems being able to hold untrustworthy individuals, right?” asked Botsman rhetorically, ironically in a panel on global democracy.

“Fortunately, the United States has very strong institutions,” including “the courts,” replied S&P Global President Douglas L. Peterson. “We’re gonna have to rely on them, depending on what the outcome of the election is. And we also need to make sure we stay engaged through global institutions like the United Nations, NATO, and other organizations around the world — and I add into that international trade pacts,” to limit U.S. sovereignty under Donald Trump. 

However, a U.S. government official revealed that globalists do not intend to rely solely on government institutions. Climate Envoy John Kerry boasted that no president would be able to stop the Green agenda favored by WEF elites, due to public-private partnerships and government incentives.

“I don’t want this obviously, but if you wound up with a different president who was opposed to climate crisis, I got news for you: “No one politician anywhere in the world can undo what is happening now”, boasted Kerry. “You know as well as I do,” Kerry told his fellow WEF attendees. “The marketplace is doing this. The only issue for all of us is not whether or not we can get or will get to a low carbon and no carbon economy globally. We will.”

In reality, “the marketplace” is taking taxpayer funds and following government dictates to produce electric vehicles consumers do not want. The Biden administration dedicated $12 billion — including $2 billion in grants — to convert U.S. auto plants into EV plants and another $7.5 billion to build charging stations which, sadly, do not charge in the winter. But in November, nearly 4,000 car dealers informed the Biden administration, “The supply of unsold BEVs (battery electric vehicles) is surging, as they are not selling nearly as fast as they are arriving at our dealerships — even with deep price cuts, manufacturer incentives, and generous government incentives.” No doubt technology will eventually produce batteries that charge quickly and can deliver long mileage, safely at low and high temperatures but this is not the case at the moment so government efforts to force change will not happen without a “police state”.

It is so comforting to know that God is in control and that events are totally under His control. Moreover, He told us in advance so that we would know He is in control. The coming tribulation that He allows Christians to experience is to purify His bride.

WEF attendees are not like other people. WEF’s panel on “Protecting Democracy against Bots and Plots” complained that social media titans faced “scrutiny” and sought ways to “force” companies to comply with free speech restrictions.

4. Global Media

Social media platforms that are “still keeping up the work” to censor, ban, or suppress disfavored views “are facing more political scrutiny and pressure to disband those efforts than ever,” groused Alexandra Reeve Givens, the daughter of actor Christopher Reeve and CEO of the Google-aligned Center for Democracy and Technology. “In the United States, for example, right now we have congressional investigations and lawsuits against people who study mis- and disinformation on social media platforms. There is currently an injunction in place stopping the Biden administration from communicating with social media platforms.” The fact that an American judge would prevent a Democratic administration from breaking the law creates a “bizarre environment” that undermines “trust and safety for our online environment,” said Reeve. “We have to have the social media companies keep up the work.”

“Is there a way to force them?” asked moderator Ravi Agrawal, editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy magazine.

This is no passing concern for WEF. It listed misinformation and disinformation as the greatest threat to America, a point driven home on WEF 2024’s opening day by the president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. An unexpected note of concern came Friday from Alex Soros, the scion of George Soros who now leads the Hungarian-born billionaire’s tax-exempt political influence operation. “If we play too much on this disinformation card, we’re taking responsibility away from ourselves to actually create a narrative that inspires people to vote,” said Soros, speaking in a rapid staccato of stops and starts punctuated by verbalized pauses.

Already, unelected bureaucrats have substantially leaned on social media platforms to silence stories they dislike in the name of COVID-19 “disinformation” or fighting “Russian interference” in U.S. elections. “We learned Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other companies developed a formal system for taking in moderation requests from every corner of government, from the FBI, the DHS, the HHS, DOD, the Global Engagement Center at State, even the CIA,” liberal journalist Matt Taibbi revealed. “For every government agency scanning Twitter, there were perhaps 20 quasi-private entities doing the same thing, including Stanford’s Election Integrity Partnership, NewsGuard, the Global Disinformation Index, and many others — many taxpayer-funded.”

Likewise, Michael Shellenberger testified before Congress last December that, as “DHS-empowered researchers were asking social media platforms to take down, throttle, or otherwise censor social media posts, the president of the United States was accusing Big Tech of ‘killing people,’ his then-press secretary said publicly that the administration was ‘flagging violative posts for Facebook,’ members of Congress threatened to strip social media platforms of their legal right to operate because, they said, the platforms weren’t censoring enough.”

When they start talking about misinformation and disinformation, that’s just code; that’s just Orwellian speak for ending free speech. And their primary target is to go after X or Twitter.

WEF, which calls itself “the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation,” seems happy to have government censorship formally carried out by the “private sector.” Such censorship aims to constrict political debate, stifle dissent, and prevent average American citizens from having any meaningful voice in their own government — or even complain about it online.
