AUSTRALIA NEEDS STRONG GODLY PROPHETIC VOICES

Today Australia needs true faithful strong Godly prophetic voices. 1 Kings 22 is a powerful narrative that shows the desperate need for the true word of the Lord regardless of consequences.

A Tale of Two Kings, One Godly, One evil, and a Prophet without compromise

King Jehoshaphat (יְהוֹשָׁפָט meaning ‘Jehovah has judged’; son of king Asa and himself king of Judah for 25 years; one of the best, most pious, and prosperous kings of Judah) visits the King of Israel (Ahab אַחְאָב  a wicked king) as Ahab was facing an enemy and needed help. Although Ahab had 400 ‘prophets’ (1 Kings 22:6), he had no one that spoke the true word of the Lord.  Jehoshaphat asks is there a prophet of the Lord!  In other words the 400 prophets that the King of Israel had gathered were useless as they were simply a bunch of ‘yes men’.

Jehoshaphat wanted a true man of God to speak! How often do people want their ears tickled, their immediate needs met, with no thought for what God wants?

“And Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?” 1 Kings 22:7

Then Ahab says there is one man of God, but he does not like what he says. The King of Israel wanted his ears tickled, but did not want to face up to the consequences  his own sin and the sins of his people.  He was offended by the word of the Lord because it found Ahab wanting.

“So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say such things!” 1 Kings 22:8

Micaiah (מִיכָֽיְהוּ meaning ‘who is like God’; a prophet of Samaria who predicted the defeat and death of king Ahab of Israel) was a true prophet, not afraid to speak the true word of the Lord regardless of what others thought or the consequences. Ahab even attempted to gaol Micaiah, which was going to be a terrible punishment.

The King of Israel hated Micaiah because Micaiah spoke the true word of the Lord.  If the King of Israel had repented and turned to the Lord all could have been made right.

After being warned, Ahab ends up dead at the hands of his enemies, with dogs licking up his blood. This happened at the word of the Lord from His prophet and Ahab’s continuing evil.

How does this apply to Australia, especially the Ekklesia (Church)

We believers (you are all ministers of the Gospel) have a great responsibility in administering the prophetic gifts from the Lord. God’s judgement is at hand. Do not say this is only old testament, consider Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11.  God’s grace is also fully available, but judgement is still comes from the Lord at times. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10 . As a nation we do not honour the Lord or hold his word holy.

The Ekklesia in Australia is facing a plethora of critical issues  (Trans and gay agendas, ‘safe  schools’, euthanasia, abortion, prostitution, people trafficking, and many other perversions and sins ) and it is time we the Ekklesia need to be speaking the word of the Lord boldly to a nation desperately in need of repentance and salvation.

Ekklesia in the New Testament was used to refer to any assembly of people. In his address to the Sanhedrin, Stephen calls the people of Israel “the assembly [Ekklesia] in the wilderness” (Acts 7:38). And in Acts 19:39Ekklesia refers to a convening of citizens to discuss legal matters (i.e. governmental authority). In most NT contexts, the word Ekklesia is used to refer to the people who comprise the New Testament church. I.e. God’s people with governmental authority.

This is the word I felt for Australia, especially the Ekklesia, at this time.  I asked the Lord the same question that Jehoshaphat  asked: ‘Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?’. Sadly, today there are some ‘prophetic’ voices that only tickle people’s ears; we need the authentic word of the Lord.

I felt the Lord say that there will not be a single person to speak, but He wanted His Holy, Apostolic, Prophetic, Bride – His Ekklesia – to speak as one. I.e. in both Psalm 133:1 unity and John 17:22 oneness. I recommend reading Ekklesia Rising by Dean Briggs.

Sometime ago I saw a vision of leaders in every pulpit in the nation speaking the word of the Lord with power and truth.  Every congregation were on there knees crying out for His righteousness and truth. Repentance and change begins at the household of God. This is the start of Australia turning around.

The word being preached was without compromise, it was very offensive to sinners and some saints alike, the word of the Lord was also life and salvation through repentance and belief. Many found life in Jesus Christ.

The people of Australia (mostly) are heart sick of the current marxist political trajectory. The rise and rise of One Nation is symptomatic of the people’s cry, but political change is not the real answer.

We cannot see any political change as the end answer to the sins of Australia, only the work of the cross, Jesus as our saviour is the answer.

In the vision, as the clear word of the Lord was declared in unity across the nation many were convicted and fell to their knees crying out to the Lord for help and salvation.

Now is the time for all of us to be the prophet that Jehoshaphat had asked for, we all need to declare the truth of the word.  We the Church are called to manifest the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  We will not win any popularity contests, but we will be His voice in a dry and thirsty land.

His Ekklesia is awesome and powerful, it is truly apostolic and prophetic.  The Lord is calling all of us to rise up and be His voice of truth in a land that has hundreds of false prophets who speak vanities.

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.Matthew 11:12

Arise and Take Action

Join us as we pray and fast for the Church — the Body of Christ — to awaken to and fulfil her calling and mission. We are praying for the Church (Ekklesia) to:

  1. Awaken to her first love for Jesus. (Ephesians 5:14Revelation 2:4)
  2. Awaken to evangelism so that millions will trust in Christ. (John 3:16Proverbs 11:30)
  3. Awaken to her prophetic voice to the nation. (Isaiah 52:1Matthew 14:4)

WHY AUSTRALIA WILL COME UNDER INCREASING JUDGEMENT OF GOD

Recent anti-God expenditures and legislation by State Governments will ensure further judgement on this nation by God.

NSW MLC John Ruddick has delivered a powerful speech to the state parliament about the excessive funding of rainbow activism. Up to $14 million and at least 22 agencies receive tax-payer funding to support their ‘neo-religion.’ Ruddick has called for government funding to cease and allow these groups to continue only if they can raise the funding themselves. He noted that organisations such as ACON (formerly known as the Aids Council of NSW) served their purpose during the AIDs epidemic but have since had to “invent new rainbow causes that are so important that the taxpayer has to fund them.” When lobby groups fight for a cause and win, they don’t just pack up their lobbying tents and go home. Too often they simply find new and more radical causes within the same framework. Lobbyists who rely on government grants do not simply pat themselves on the back after winning their cause – they get addicted to the gravy train.

Ashlyn Vice, SA Director of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL), says Mr Hood’s Termination of Pregnancy Amendment (Terminations and Live Births) Bill was a “no-nonsense, compelling proposition to change the process of terminations post 28-weeks’ gestation – offering a pro-woman, pro-child compromise”. “Tonight’s result means more South Australian babies will be needlessly born dead when they could have been safely born alive,” Vice says. “If passed, this Bill would have ensured babies in their third trimester would be born alive by inducing early labour in circumstances where the mother insists on ending the pregnancy. This was to replace current practice, which is to kill the baby via a lethal potassium chloride injection before inducing labour.” Vice says.

Our elected government leaders have no fear of God which reveals the godless state of our nation and an inept church. A church that no longer upholds the inerrancy of God’s Word and heeds the many warnings and signs given of God’s coming judgement when He pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements.

Read the first four Trumpet judgements and know that the intensity only escalates as God pours out His wrath with the seven Trumpet and seven Bowl judgements. How many churches are warning the world of this soon coming judgement of God?

The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter.
The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.

AUSTRALIAN INSOLVENCIES ROAR TO WORST SEPTEMBER QTR. ON RECORD

11,000 businesses went into insolvency in the 2023/2024 period. Corporate insolvencies are at fresh highs after the worst start to any financial year on record as a deterioration in the economy coupled with a crackdown on unpaid tax by the Australian Taxation Office forces the closure of more businesses.

Recent months have seen a tripling in debt recovery action undertaken by the ATO as it pursues unprofitable small businesses given reprieve during the pandemic years and are now unable to pay tax bills. Industry watchers say there is grave concern for the hospitality sector, which is ground zero for fallout from the cost-of-living crisis.

Figures from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission show there were 3631 insolvency appointments in the September quarter, a 45.5 percent increase from the same period in 2023.

This September quarter had the highest rate of external administration and controller appointments since ASIC records began in the late 1990s, surpassing the previous high in 2012 when 2961 businesses went under following the global financial crisis.

Rex was the biggest casualty after the airline entered voluntary administration in July, owing $500m, and subsequently culled its Boeing 737 fleet. Administrator EY has yet to find a buyer.

EY strategy and transaction partner Morgan Kelly said businesses were squeezed by softening revenue as a result of the cost of living, higher input costs, and increasing interest rates lifting debt repayments.

Accommodation and food services insolvency appointments grew at a faster rate of 109 percent from 339 to 709 in the quarter. This included The Beston Global Food Company, which was placed into voluntary administration last month.

Australia like most Western nations has ejected God out of all aspects of life so it will continue to come under God’s judgement. What is unfolding in the world fits with Biblical end-times prophecies so we should not be surprised but rejoice that Satan’s time of deception is drawing to a close. Nevertheless, we need to take Jesus’ warning seriously about endurance and allow the Holy Spirit to direct our every step.

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.Matthew 24:9-14
