AUSTRALIAN INSOLVENCIES ROAR TO WORST SEPTEMBER QTR. ON RECORD
11,000 businesses went into insolvency in the 2023/2024 period. Corporate insolvencies are at fresh highs after the worst start to any financial year on record as a deterioration in the economy coupled with a crackdown on unpaid tax by the Australian Taxation Office forces the closure of more businesses.
Recent months have seen a tripling in debt recovery action undertaken by the ATO as it pursues unprofitable small businesses given reprieve during the pandemic years and are now unable to pay tax bills. Industry watchers say there is grave concern for the hospitality sector, which is ground zero for fallout from the cost-of-living crisis.
Figures from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission show there were 3631 insolvency appointments in the September quarter, a 45.5 percent increase from the same period in 2023.
This September quarter had the highest rate of external administration and controller appointments since ASIC records began in the late 1990s, surpassing the previous high in 2012 when 2961 businesses went under following the global financial crisis.
Rex was the biggest casualty after the airline entered voluntary administration in July, owing $500m, and subsequently culled its Boeing 737 fleet. Administrator EY has yet to find a buyer.
EY strategy and transaction partner Morgan Kelly said businesses were squeezed by softening revenue as a result of the cost of living, higher input costs, and increasing interest rates lifting debt repayments.
Accommodation and food services insolvency appointments grew at a faster rate of 109 percent from 339 to 709 in the quarter. This included The Beston Global Food Company, which was placed into voluntary administration last month.

VICTORIA ELEVATING NEW ANTI-VILIFICATION LAWS TO A STATE RELIGION OPPOSED TO CHRISTIANITY
The Victorian State government (Australia) wants to expand its anti-vilification legislation to include a laundry list of additional attributes, including disability, gender identity, sexual characteristics, and sexual orientation. If such an expansion is passed, it will become illegal in Victoria to offend people who are disabled, trans, non-binary, or “sexually diverse”. Maximum prison sentences will be up to three to five years.
The legal thresholds for what constitutes vilification will be lowered. Currently, one must “incite hatred” to breach the law. Under the proposed changes, however, speech that is “likely to incite” will become a criminal offence. Under such a standard, almost all speech referring to those with protected attributes – regardless of intent or context – could be deemed criminal. This means journalists, writers, comedians, academics, artists and activists will all be open to prosecution.
This new orthodoxy operates on multiple levels. First, it holds that speech inflicts harm equivalent to physical violence, which means stringent controls must be placed on expression. Second, it establishes a hierarchy of moral authority based on perceived victimhood, where some voices are deemed more virtuous than others. Third, it promotes a series of dogmas about identity, privilege, and systemic oppression that brook no dissent. This means debate is off the table.

Just as heretics once faced inquisitions for challenging church doctrine, today’s dissenters risk social ostracism, professional ruin, and potentially legal consequences for transgressing this new moral code. Victoria’s shift represents a fundamental reimagining of the role of government in a liberal democracy. Rather than serving as a neutral arbiter, protecting the rights of citizens who have equality before the law, the state is now becoming the enforcer of a particular worldview. It’s a vision where the government not only dictates what citizens can say, but what they must believe.
This will just intensify the persecution of Christians which fulfils one of the many Biblical prophesied end-times signs. It will also ensure Australia comes under the escalating judgement of God.

ANTICHRIST: WHERE DOES HE COME FROM?
The Revived Roman Empire is commonly associated with the fourth beast of Daniel chapter 7. This beast is described as “terrifying and frightening and very powerful” (Daniel 7:7). This ten-horned beast is a prophetic picture of the Roman Empire (Daniel 7:19–24), but, as Daniel watches, a little horn rises from the beast, with “eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully” (Daniel 7:20). This final horn is the Antichrist, who will somehow be connected with the Roman Empire.
The former Roman Empire was an area that stretched from West North Africa to parts of the Middle East. Therefore, he could be from North Africa, Turkey, or from the Middle East. A commonly-held view by many Christians is that “the Assyrian” is a designation, by the ancient prophets, of the Antichrist.
As such, they believe that this future man of lawlessness or sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3), necessarily must emerge from somewhere in the region in or around present-day Syria.
Almost all pre-millennial students of prophecy agree that the “King” of (Isaiah 30:33) is the Antichrist, and yet in the two verses that precede, this “King” is identified with “the Assyrian.”
Considering that Muslims are expecting their Messiah, Mahdi., could he be the Assyrian, the Antichrist? What do Muslims expect of their Mahdi?

He will establish Islamic world headquarters in Jerusalem. He will rule for seven years establishing Islam as the only religion. He will come on a white horse with supernatural power. He will be loved by all people on earth. If that sounds familiar that is a precise description of the biblical Antichrist absolutely step by step by step by step. JONATHAN CAHN’S FIRST BOOK ON END TIMES PROPHECY
This video is the best conversation I’ve heard about Jonathan Cahn’s new book The Dragon’s Prophecy: Israel, the Dark Resurrection and the End of Days! The Bible is unfolding in exact alignment with end-times prophecies. Thank God for using Rabbi Cahn to inform the world. Even the recent invasion by Hamas is part of the Biblical end-times prophecies. We all must remember that God is in control. This spiritual war is unfolding exactly as prophesied. The Bible even names the nations that war against Israel.
Hamas invaded and killed over 2000 Israelis including women, babies, and children, and yet it has resulted in antisemitism the world over. This is unfathomable and for me demonstrates it has to be spiritually motivated. Fortunately, Jesus told us that persecution of Christians will also intensify in the last days: tribulation becomes great tribulation before Jesus returns to rapture the Saints. He also said:
“Let not your hearts be troubled: Believe in God, believe also in me… I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14:2-3
Biblical prophecy reveals Jesus will rapture believers to heaven just before God pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world with the Trumpet (Revelation 8) and Bowl (Revelation 16) judgements. You need to warn your unbelieving family and friends that they need to repent and get right with God otherwise they will face God’s wrath. Take them to Revelation 8 and 16.

Jesus told us in advance that intense persecution is coming but we can be confident that Jesus will be with us in the most trying circumstances just as He was with Stephen when he was being stoned to death.
“As Stephen was being stoned to death, he called out, “Lord Jesus, please welcome me!” He knelt down and shouted, “Lord, don’t blame them for what they have done.” Then he died.” Matthew 24:59-60
God gave Stephen a wonderful vision. What did he see?
“But Stephen was filled with the Holy Spirit. He looked toward heaven, where he saw our glorious God and Jesus standing at his right side. Then Stephen said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right side of God!” Matthew 24:55-56
MANY THRIVING METAVERSES
In October 2021, Facebook (FB) announced what was arguably the largest corporate change in its 20-year history. Mark Zuckerberg and his executive team had decided to go all in on “the metaverse.” So much so that the company decided to change its name to Meta (META) and rebrand entirely.
Here’s what the company’s announcement stated…
The metaverse will feel like a hybrid of today’s online social experiences, sometimes expanded into three dimensions or projected into the physical world. It will let you share immersive experiences with other people even when you can’t be together – and do things together you couldn’t do in the physical world.
Meta’s timing to focus on “the” metaverse – one it hadn’t created yet – was costly. Meta’s share price collapsed 73% from the time of the announcement through November 2022. The stock then languished there for several months into the new year. It meant that there was no immediate way to monetize this massive multibillion-dollar investment it was making. And the worst part? It diverted its entire corporate focus to its metaverse initiatives at precisely the same time the world of artificial intelligence was absolutely booming with breakthroughs.
It went all in too early on a technology that was not ready to be monetized… and it paid the price. That November (2022), Meta cut its workforce by 11,000 (13%) to reel in costs. By March 2023, it announced more job cuts – another 10,000 positions – and that it would be shifting its focus away from the metaverse and heavily into large language models and generative AI.
Many Thriving Metaverses
What drove Zuckerberg to make the move to Meta? There were already several prominent metaverses thriving with activity, growing exponentially and wildly profitable… and Zuckerberg wanted to be one of them.
Fortnite, a massive multiplayer online social game, is a perfect example. Fortnite has grown into a metaverse with more than 500 million registered players and about 220 million monthly active players.
The Fortnite metaverse has already generated more than $26 billion in revenue through March 2024 and is one of the most popular games in history.
Fortnite has its own currency, V-bucks, and its own developer ecosystem that allows creators to build new games and metaverses within the Fortnite ecosystem. Fortnite is owned by private tech company Epic Games which was last valued at $31.5 billion in 2022.
Equally as impressive as Fortnite, if not more so, is publicly traded Roblox (RBLX) which now has 380 million monthly active users. While Roblox graphics may not be as flashy as Fortnite’s, it is impressive in the scale of its universe with 79.5 million daily active players. And where Roblox excels over Fortnite is in its remarkably vibrant developer community that builds different games and new worlds within the Roblox metaverse. Roblox has about 2.5 million developers working with its metaverse. Those community developers made more than $410 million in the first half of this year alone. The Roblox metaverse is a fully functioning online world with branding, advertising, e-commerce, gaming, and its own currency of course – Robux.
Last week was an exciting week for the company as it had its annual developers conference which gave us a view on the future of metaverse technology… I doubt anyone will be surprised to learn that the future of the Metaverse is all about artificial intelligence and generative AI.
Roblox gives its users and developers the ability to apply generative AI in designing a character for the game using simple text prompts. But this is just scratching the surface of what Roblox will be enabling. The company is leaning into multimodal AI that will enable not just image generation, but animation, work in 3D, software programming, and eventually video generation.
Roblox’s AI-powered metaverse strategy is already working extremely well. The company is now valued at $27 billion and will generate about $4.2 billion in revenue this year and more than $500 million in free cash flow. Compare that to Meta’s Reality Labs division which generated only $1.9 billion in revenue last year at a massive multibillion-dollar loss.
Meta would have been better off acquiring Roblox and its AI-powered metaverse from the start instead of spending at least $46.5 billion starting from scratch. Either way, the employment of generative AI is going to be a boom for gaming and metaverse development that will empower not only companies to accelerate development… but also developers and creators to take part in filling these metaverses with interactions, transactions, commerce, and social interactions.
Is it any wonder that this generation that was taught evolution is true and there is no God would spend their time creating their own world in the metaverse? As there is no meaning or purpose to life on Earth and this world is a mess anyway, we will create our own world where we are in control. Either that or the rising suicide rates for teens indicate they decide to end their lives.
The Bible, God’s Word is a book of prophecy and thankfully God has revealed in detail what will happen in the world before Jesus returns to restore righteousness. What we see happening in the world, particularly with the younger generation is exactly what is prophesied. Also, the nation God established for His purposes, Israel, is the centre of the world’s attention with antisemitism rampant, once again exactly as the Bible prophecies would occur before Jesus second coming to Earth.
TIMING OF THE END OF THE AGE
Nelson Walters suggested I take a look at this website Counting from Caleb. This is a short (18 minutes) video by Ryan who presents evidence that Daniels 70 weeks prophecy can also be seen as 70 weeks of Jubilees (Shavuot) 70 x 7 x 7 = 3430 from the time of Caleb’s inheritance of the land in 1400 BC. This would mean that the final seven years (Daniel’s 70th week of years) would start on 4th October 28th, 2024, and end on 28th September 2031. This would be the end of the age and the start of Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom.

THE END OF DAYS REVEALED
Jonathan Cahn opens the meaning of Aharit Hayamin: The End of Days Revealed. The Bible speaks of prophetic times known as the ‘Last Days,’ the ‘End Times,’ ‘the End of Days, starting in Deuteronomy.
Even before Israel entered their Promised Land, Moses told the people their entire history and that because of disobedience God will cast them out of the land and scatter them throughout the world. He also reveals that before the end of the age, God would regather them. Miraculously, God orchestrated Israel being re-established as a nation again in 1948.
