BE STRONG, BE COURAGEOUS, REJECT FEAR

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9

These words remind us that strength and courage do not come from within ourselves but from God’s abiding presence and his word. For the Church to walk in its inheritance today, we too must hear this call: Be strong. Be courageous. Reject fear.

Strength is found in leaning on God when our own resources run dry. It is strength of faith that holds fast to His promises, strength of conviction that keeps us anchored to His truth, and strength of unity that binds us together as His people.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Rather, it is the willingness to move forward in love and obedience despite it. The human heart naturally longs to protect itself, yet Christ calls us to a higher way: to lay down self-interest, to serve others, and to love even when it costs something. Courage steps out when the path is unclear, trusting the Spirit’s gentle leading.

Fear, however, lingers at the door of our hearts. It whispers the what ifs: What if I fail? What if I’m misunderstood? What if it costs too much? Fear keeps us tied to yesterday and hesitant about tomorrow. Fear would have prevented Joshua and the Israelites from entering their inheritance. It will work the same negative result in us. We will fail to embrace the opportunities before us and miss out on the good works that God has prepared for us to do.

Article “His Presence and Word Makes Us Strong and Courageous” by Pastor John Hunt, Director of Australian Christian Churches. October 5th, 2025

This word is especially relevant to the time we are in, where we are warned by God, persecution of Christians will increase. In fact, great tribulation is ahead as we approach the time of Jesus return.

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.Matthew 24:9-14

COURAGE AND CONSEQUENCES: A WHISTLEBLOWER’S HARROWING EXPERIENCE WITH BIDEN’S DEPARTMENT OF (IN)JUSTICE

Eithan Haim’s vindication after very nearly facing prison time on spurious charges was only reversed after Trump was elected President.

Thankfully, the sham legal prosecution against Eithan Haim is over for good. After Haim blew the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) for secretly providing gender transition procedures to minors in violation of state law, the Biden administration Department of Justice (DOJ) set out to ruin Haim’s life and career. More than 18 months and $1 million in legal fees later, Haim is finally free and clear.

GOD ENSURED THAT THE TRUTH WON OUT. It only took four days into the Trump administration for the Biden administration’s phony case to get crumpled up and thrown in the wastebasket. On Friday afternoon, the DOJ and Haim’s attorneys (the Burke Law Group) jointly moved “for an order dismissing the Second Superseding Indictment and all open counts with prejudice.”

The sparse motion gave little to analyze, except what it did not say. “The joint motion to dismiss the indictment offers no details,” mused Eugene Volokh. “But presumably the Trump Administration had a different view on the matter than did the Biden Administration.”

That same afternoon, Judge David Hittner responded, “As the direct and only result of a joint motion of the parties, the United States Attorneys Office of the Southern District of Texas, and legal counsel for the Defendant, Eithan David Haim, the Second Superseding Indictment and all open counts in the above-listed criminal case are hereby DISMISSED with prejudice.”

Dismissing charges with prejudice “means that the plaintiff cannot refile the same claim again in that court,” explains the Legal Information Institute. “The reason that dismissal with prejudice prevents subsequent refiling is because this type of dismissal is considered an ‘adjudication on the merits.’”

In other words, at the request of Trump’s DOJ, the judge decided that the charges brought against Haim by Biden’s DOJ were bogus, and that they could never be brought again.

For 18 months, beginning on the day he graduated from surgical training, the threat of criminal prosecution and financial disaster has hung over his head like the sword of Damocles.

ALL-OUT WAR ON CHRISTIANS IN VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

If you think it is the norm that men and women are fully interchangeable, that marriage is open to any combination, and that killing babies is just peachy, then you will fit in just fine with the Victorian Labor Party, the Herald Sun, and all those of the secular left.

Late last year in the Herald Sun there was a horrific hatchet job on the newly elected Liberal politician Moira Deeming. Her crimes, she thinks it is a crime for babies to be murdered in the thousands; marriage is between a man and a woman; and males cannot become females and vice versa. Oh, and worse yet, she is a biblical Christian! So crucify her already. We can NOT allow such horrible people to be anywhere near our political process. Sack her now!!

As a former high school teacher, Ms. Deeming has critiqued the education sector in Victoria since her win at last year’s state election. In one email, Deeming said that she did not win her Liberal preselection on “merit”, rather it was an act of divine intervention. “I did not win (Liberal Party preselection) on merit … I won because God arranged it,” she said.

Now her own Liberal party wants her sacked despite the fact she was the only new liberal candidate to win a seat at the last election. Liberal leader John Pesutto put forward an expulsion motion condemning Ms Deeming for allegedly organizing, promoting, and attending the anti-trans rights rally headlined by controversial British activist Posie Parker. Ms. Deeming addressed the Let Women speak event on March 20, which saw anti-transgender inclusionary activists and LGBTQI+ advocates clash before Nazi sympathizers hijacked the event. Ms. Deeming publicly denied any extremist associations and condemned the demonstrations.

A two-hour Liberal Party meeting at Parliament House on Monday resulted in a nine-month suspension for Ms Deeming. It is a sad day for free speech and a sad day for women – women Moira was seeking to champion. For daring to let women speak, she is now in the political wilderness – at least for three-quarters of a year.

This is just one more example to confirm the Biblical prophecies that in the end times prior to Jesus’ return there will be increased persecution of Christians, in fact as the following prophecy indicates Christians will be hated and eventually killed because they will not take the mark of the Beast (Antichrist).

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.Matthew 24:9-13

Are you and your church ready for what is coming? You cannot say God did not warn you. As I have said many times on this website, there are over 1800 Biblical prophecies of Jesus’ second coming. There were 300-plus prophecies of Jesus first coming to earth and the Pharisees and Sadducees totally missed it. Sadly, there are many more prophecies of His second coming and the church at large is missing it. For the last 12 years the Lord has prompted me and many other Christians to get back to God’s Word. I was fortunate that almost 40 years ago now God connected me with Creation Ministries (CMI); they helped me overcome my stumbling block; belief in evolution that is taught as fact in our schools and universities. CMI showed me that the scientific evidence supported Creation and the Biblical account of history far better than evolution and billions of years. The geologic evidence supports catastrophe not slow gradual change of uniformitarianism. Millions of dead things, buried quickly all over the world as evidenced by fossils and fossil fuels; coal, oil, and natural gas are evidence of the truth of Noah’s flood, The first time God poured out His wrath upon the world. The time is coming soon when He will pour out His wrath again with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements. The world needs to be told this is coming. It is called apocalyptic evangelism.

GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO

Think about how Joshua felt when God told him to lead the Israelites into Canaan, drive out the pagan inhabitants, and secure the land as a homeland for His people.

In the natural, this would seem to be an impossible task but the key of course is revealed in the following Scripture:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

God does not commission us without the promise of His presence and provision. We only have to be “strong and of good courage.”

How would you like to be Noah, being told to build an enormous boat as God was going to destroy every living creature on the earth save those on this boat Noah was to build. We are simply told that “Noah did this; he did all that God had commanded him” Genesis 6:22

How Long Was the Ark?

At approximately 510 feet long, it would take nearly one and a half football fields to equal the Ark’s length. That’s big enough that NASA could lay three space shuttles—nose to tail—on the Ark’s roof!

How Long Was the Ark?

How Tall Was the Ark?

The roof of Noah’s Ark was more than 50 feet from the ground—higher than a modern four-story house. That’s plenty of space for three extra-tall inner decks as the Bible describes.

How Tall Was the Ark?
Truckloads of Cargo Space

The Ark had the same storage capacity as about 450 standard semi-trailers. A standard livestock trailer holds about 250 sheep, so the Ark had the capacity to hold at least 120,000 sheep.

And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them.” Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.” Genesis 6:13-22

Are you confident that God is with you wherever you go? He will be if you are obedient to His commands. Moreover, you will know if you are not being obedient because you will experince His discipline. What form that takes varies widely but repentance is required to get you back on track. This is a word usually not spoken of in apostate churches.

Do you want times of refreshing from the Lord? If you do then repent.

LITTLE DISCIPLINE, LITTLE COURAGE – COURAGE IS CAUGHT MORE THAN TAUGHT

The situation in 2 Chronicles 15:5-7 seems eerily similar to our situation today: “In those times there was no peace … but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands. King Jehoshaphat was King of Judah at the time.

One key principle we learn from King Jehoshaphat is that he prepared his heart to seek God (2 Chronicles 19:3). Build courage by strengthening yourself in the Lord … by spending time reading and obeying His Word, as well as praying, fasting, and worshiping.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving Enter His courts with praiseEnter His presence with worship

We play like we practice. Or said another way, we fight like we prepare. Courage is the outflow of inner disciplines — little discipline, little courage

If we take our focus off of Christ, we can easily become discouraged. Jehoshaphat said, “But our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12). He knew that focused attention is critical in battle.

Our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this vast number that comes to fight against us. We do not know what to do, but we look to You. 2 Chronicles 20:12

Why would you walk willingly into the enemy’s camp? Why would you feed wrong desires and thoughts when they do nothing but war against the soul? If you’re losing the battle and becoming discouraged, look at your media diet. Is it instilling courage? If not, refocus your sights on Christ.

God’s battle plan always involves courage: “Act courageous and the Lord will be with you” (2 Chronicles 19:11). Courage is important because it’s undergirded by trust and faith. In essence, we are saying, “Lord, I trust You so I’m going to step out in faith. I’m not going to fear. What can man do to me?” Courage meets fear with faith.

A Christian Call For Courage
Spiritual warfare requires spiritual weapons

We see an incredible event happen in 2 Chronicles 20:22:

When they began to sing and praise the Lord,” God defeated the enemy. Spiritual warfare requires spiritual weapons.

Exchange social media binges with worship marathons. Turn to prayer, worship, and the Word, rather than Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. We cannot fill our minds with the world and expect to develop courage. We cannot fill our minds with darkness and expect the light of Christ to shine in our lives

The Lord tells us to stand firm — don’t go backward and don’t run ahead in your own strength — but hold the line through obedience, trust, faith, and courage: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today” (Exodus 14:13).

When difficulties come, let your children see you praying and seeking God rather than being upset or frightened. Our children are watching. If we are angry or scared, we’re subtly telling them, “God can’t get us through this; we can’t really trust Him.” Courage is caught more than taught.

When we worship and walk in obedience, God fights for us, but when we stray, we become easy prey. Repentance and obedience reposition you back in the centre of God’s will … back to victory. Cowardliness and disobedience cost us far more than we realize.

Seeking God with our hearts must be a price we are willing to pay. Are you? It all begins here.

What made these O.T. prophets so bold? How was God’s Word burning in their hearts? It was because the Holy Spirit came upon them and filled them with boldness as they surrendered their entire life to God. You have the Holy Spirit but full surrender is the key ingredient that most Christians are missing. Are rivers of living water flowing out of you  — are you spiritually alive? The more you seek Him the more you find Him: “He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:16).

SATAN’S POWER DEFEATED IN TENNESSEE

May be an image of one or more people, people standing and grass
Baker and Stone players lead in prayer on their knees.

Satan’s power was defeated in Tennessee, as the threat of legal action by administrators with Putnam County Schools to forbid prayer after the game was overwhelmed by player lead prayer supported by parents and fans in solidarity on Overall Field.

Last week, administrators told staffers they would be barred from leading students in prayer in the future, a decision that came as a result of a letter from the group Americans United for Separation of Church and State, according to WZTV-TV.

After the school board in Tennessee told teachers and coaches they could no longer lead students in prayer, members of the football team and their parents took matters into their own hands.

School administrators were told by their attorney to make sure all policies and laws concerning prayer at school-sponsored activities are followed. They said, “case law not allowing prayer or proselytizing is clear. Courts have consistently ruled that prayer and proselytizing can not be sponsored by schools or school personnel.

The district, for its part, acknowledged “the importance of prayer in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff members,” saying in a statement to the press that administrators “support the right of students to participate in and lead spontaneous prayers.”

“That right is and will continue to be protected,” the district added. “We also understand that faculty and staff members cannot lead or participate in the spontaneous student-led prayers.”

God bless the Baxter and Stone players for their faith and courage. Pray that we will see more Christians standing up for their faith in public places as a witness to the truth of God’s Word.

Film CINDERELLA presents KINDNESS as a SUPER POWER

Cinderella-message-slider-2

AMAZING the new film Cinderella which hits the theatres Friday has a great message.

From THE HUNGER GAMES’ Katniss Everdeen and DIVERGENT’s Tris Prior, to BRAVE’s Merida and FROZEN’s Anna and Elsa, Hollywood heroines seem to be on the rise. The formerly favored “damsel in distress” archetype has been successfully usurped by current depictions of strong-willed, strong-armed, independent women who can fend for themselves. Then along comes Cinderella…again…  The obvious question is hasn’t our culture grown out of princesses and happily ever after’s already?

If you watch the trailer for the new CINDERELLA movie, you will hear Cinderella’s mother tell her,

I want to tell you a secret that will see you through all the trials that life can offer: Have courage, and be kind.”

Cinderella, as you know, was a young girl whose life was fraught with trials. She lost her mother at an early age. A year later, her father married a cruel woman with two equally nasty daughters of her own who forced Cinderella to be their servant. Each night after her chores, she would retire to a cold dank room and seek warmth from the fireplace, the cinders of which inspired her derisive nickname. When the Prince announced that he was hosting a ball in hopes of finding a wife there, Cinderella was left out, having been told by her stepsisters that maids were not invited. Despite the abuse, Cinderella continued to abide by her mother’s advice, which, in both the modern movie and the 18th-century story, was to be kind.

In this version of Cinderella, there was a decision to include Cinderella’s parents, Producer Allison Shearmur said, adding, “She is the way she is because she was loved as a child.” Branagh also said establishing a “family life [for Cinderella before her stepmother arrives] was important.”

Thus, when Cinderella is asked why she stays with her evil stepmother, even with the bad treatment she receives, Cinderella says she’s “keeping a promise to her mother” to stay and maintain the house they loved and be good and kind at everyone.

It was important for the filmmakers that they didn’t show Cinderella as the victim of her circumstances, but rather to have her see the world positively, for what it could be if only we strived to be good and kind. Branagh hopes that with a heroine who is good and kind, then “goodness can be reinvented.”

“Ken had a very clear point of view of what was important to him,” Shearmur added. “I remember the first time we met with him, he said, “Let’s make a story about kindness as a super power.’ When you think this is a guy who brought us THOR, you knew he understood the analogy he was making. In a time where female heroines, Katniss Everdeen in THE HUNGER GAMES and Tris in DIVERGENT, have a manifestation of their strength [that] is a lot more physical. . . this Cinderella in her self strength is internal.”

There is also a wonderful message of forgiveness in CINDERELLA that was very intentionally done by the filmmakers. Of course, such a message matches a Christian worldview.

Get the message around, encourage mothers to take their daughters to see Cinderella.
