It is awesome to consider what we now know about the complexity of our bodies. Our bodies consist of many trillions of cells. Yes trillions. It is hard to comprehend that number. Most of those cells carry inside them a tightly packed bundle of genetic information. The information of the genome is stored on the DNA molecule. One cubic millimetre contains about 470 petabytes (3.76 x 1018 bits) of data. This is equivalent to 470,000 laptop computer 1-terabyte hard disc drives. The unofficial standard thickness of such drives is 9.5 mm, equating to a pile over 4.4 km high. Micro SD cards of 2 terabytes are now available but you would still need about 250,000 of them to match 1 mm of DNA. It is therefore extremely unlikely that man will get close to the information density of DNA. To say mankind evolved by random chance from pond scum is absurd and yet our universities and schools teach it as fact.

USA PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROMOTE A GODLESS AGENDA

A new documentary, “Brainwashed: The Indoctrination of America’s Youth,” warns that public schools promote a “godless” agenda. It calls on parents and churches to “wake up” and help today’s youth develop a biblical worldview. The godless, evolutionary worldview has been taught in schools and universities increasingly since the late 1960s (the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in Epperson v. Arkansas (1968) that Arkansas‘s law prohibiting the teaching of evolution was in violation of the First Amendment)

In an interview with The Christian Post, Coral Ridge Ministries CEO Robert J. Pacienza said the documentary’s target audience includes parents, grandparents, and “anyone concerned about the next generation.”

Pacienza told CP the documentary took about a year to make. He said he was inspired to make the film after seeing various reports about the messages America’s youth receive not only through social media and the entertainment industry but also at public schools and college campuses.

According to a report the advocacy group Parents Defending Education released last year, more than 1,000 school districts, representing 18,335 schools with more than 10.7 million students, have policies that permit or advise faculty to withhold information from parents about their child’s gender confusion. 

Another study released last year found that around 3,600 individuals between the ages of 12 and 18 underwent body-disfiguring gender transition surgeries across the United States between 2016 and 2020. 

In addition to raising concerns about what schools are teaching kids about gender, the documentary discusses school curricula centered on social-emotional learning, which some experts featured in the film argued is used to push “left-wing politics” in the classroom. 

The documentary notes that while schools promote politics and social justice topics, many students fail at fundamental subjects like reading, writing, and math.

“I just thought we needed something that is waking people up to what is happening,” Pacienza told CP. 

Pacienza said that one of the documentary’s goals is to provide parents with “real action steps” in response to what he described as “propaganda” from the progressive left. These steps might include limiting kids’ exposure to digital devices and having more conversations with them around the dinner table.

“So it’s not just a documentary that exposes the problem, but it also gives Christian parents and Christian grandparents and any Christian in America that cares about the next generation real tools and resources to help them fight against this godless agenda that’s targeting the youth in America,” Pacienza said.

Sadly, the documentary does not address the issue of evolution and billions of years which contradicts the Bible’s history of 6000 years. The worldwide flood of Noah’s day produced the fossils: billions of dead things all over the world, including fossil fuels. It did not need billions of years.

Intelligent Design Has a Breakthrough in Biology Journal

In its September 21 issue, the Journal of Theoretical Biology published a major peer-reviewed article on fine-tuning in biology that favorably discusses intelligent design.

The article explicitly cites work by Discovery Institute (DI) Fellows such as Stephen Meyer, Günter Bechly, Ann Gauger, Douglas Axe, and Robert J. Marks. The article is co-authored by Steinar Thorvaldsen and Ola Hössjer. Hössjer is a professor of mathematical statistics at Stockholm University who is favorable to intelligent design.

Fine-tuning has received much attention in physics, and it states that the fundamental constants of physics are finely tuned to precise values for a rich chemistry and life permittance. It has not yet been applied in a broad manner to molecular biology. However, in this paper, the distinguished authors argue that biological systems present fine-tuning at different levels, e.g. functional proteins, complex biochemical machines in living cells, and cellular networks. This paper describes molecular fine-tuning, how it can be used in biology, and how it challenges conventional Darwinian thinking. It also, discuss the statistical methods underpinning fine-tuning and present a framework for such an analysis.

This is a big deal for the mainstreaming of Intelligent Design. 

The Journal of Theoretical Biology is a top peer-reviewed science journal. According to CiteScore, it is the 25th most cited journal in the area of general agriculture and biological sciences, and it is in the top 12 percent of all journals in that field. 

The Journal of Theoretical Biology is a biweekly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering theoretical biology, as well as mathematical, computational and statistical aspects of biology.

The article by Thorvaldsen and Hössjer appeared online in June. But DI didn’t want to speak about it publicly until after its “official” publication date, because they knew that once Darwinists found out, they would try to have the article cancelled. 

Sure enough, after Darwinists discovered the article, they succeeded in obtaining a “disclaimer” from the journal’s editors, who proclaimed their bias against ID. But the disclaimer actually made publication of the article all the more significant. It meant that the article survived peer-review and was accepted for publication despite the open hostility of the journal’s top editors!

Familiar with Cancel Culture

Intelligent design isn’t loved by the establishment media, or elite professors, or social media giants. In fact, ID proponents face censorship and discrimination on all fronts in getting their message out. Intelligent design supporters are well acquainted with the “cancel culture,” because creationists have faced it for a long time.

SIGNS OF THE END TIMES

According to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, just 30% of respondents identifying as Millennials or Generation Z (ages 18-38) say religion or belief in God is very important, which means 70% don’t believe in God. This compares with 67% of those over 55 who say belief in God is important. 

The above poll results demonstrate, conclusively, the devastating effect the teaching of evolution as fact in our schools and universities has on belief in God and His Word.

Despite the fact the latest scientific evidence, particularly the DNA Encode project, has proved conclusively, living things are highly complex, with an extraordinary multi layer level of information on the DNA. Moreover, the DNA controls highly complex machines in the multitude of cells that make up a human body so that only intelligent design can be their source. The information on the DNA, and the design of the machines in the cells, had to be correct when the organism came into existence (irreducible complexity). Evolution by random chance is nonsense and yet it is still being taught in our schools and universities. Why? Because they cannot countenance a supernatural God, certainly not the God of the Bible. Moreover, they are oblivious to the fact that supernatural beings are influencing their actions. This is spiritual warfare as described by Paul in God’s Word.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesian 6:11-13

Another devastating result is most respondents under 38 do not see having children as very important while some 54% of respondents over 55 say it is. 

Don’t believe in God, and judgement, and life after death, then why be concerned about anything but self. God’s Word prophecies that prior to Jesus second coming that this is what it will be like for Christians.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24: 9-14

ESTEEMED YALE PROFESSOR REJECTS DARWINISM

Yale academic and professor, David Gelernter has openly rejected the theory of evolution, insisting that it contains many contradictions and flaws. He argues Intelligent Design is a serious theory.

Professor Gelernter bravely stepped forward to take a shot at the popular theory and urged his fellow academics not to sweep over critical thought on the subject out of an anti-religious bias.

“Darwin’s theory predicts that new life forms evolve gradually from old ones in a constantly branching, spreading tree of life,” the professor explained in a paper titled, “Giving Up Darwin,” as cited by the Daily Wire.

“Those brave new Cambrian creatures must therefore have had Precambrian predecessors, similar but not quite as fancy and sophisticated. They could not have all blown out suddenly, like a bunch of geysers.”

One of the central issues Gelernter raises against the pre-eminent theory is that it is nearly impossible to create a stable and functioning protein. “Immense is so big, and tiny is so small, that neo-Darwinian evolution is — so far — a dead loss. Try to mutate your way from 150 links of gibberish to a working, useful protein and you are guaranteed to fail,” he noted. “Try it with ten mutations, a thousand, a million — you fail. The odds bury you. It can’t be done.”

In contrast to the strong scepticism he holds towards Darwinian theory, Professor Gelernter argued that intelligent design is now the “first, and obviously most intuitive [theory] that comes to mind.”

Intelligent Design deduces that God must be the primary force behind the creation of the universe because, well, something simply cannot come out of nothing. While the theory is widely accepted by many in the Christian scientific community, Gelernter insisted that, on the whole, academics who reject Darwinism and subscribe to a God-centred argument find themselves being viciously attacked.

In a discussion hosted by the Hoover Institute, the professor expanded on these concerns. “I have to distinguish between the way I’ve been treated personally, which has been a very courteous and collegial way by my colleagues at Yale, they’re nice guys and I like them, they’re my friends,” he explained at the round table, hosted in June of this year.“On the other hand, when I look at their intellectual behaviour, what they publish, and, much more important, what they tell their students, Darwinism has indeed passed beyond a scientific argument. As far as they are concerned, you take your life in your hands to challenge it intellectually. They will destroy you if you challenge it.”

Doubling down on his concerns, Gelernter warned that a majority of those in the wider academic community show “nothing approaching free speech on this topic.”“It’s a bitter rejection, not just — a sort of bitter, fundamental, angry, outraged, violent rejection, which comes nowhere near scientific of intellectual discussion,” he added. “I’ve seen that happen again and again. ‘I’m a Darwinist, don’t you say a word against it, or, I don’t wanna hear it, period.’”Far from engaging in a civil academic discussion, the professor noted that if you criticise Darwinism, academics often react as if you have been “attacking their religion.” “It is a big issue for them,” he said.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

TRUTH IS PRECIOUS BEYOND ALL MEASURE – THAT WHICH AGREES WITH FINAL REALITY.

Ultimately, only our Creator can know the TRUTH of His creation, the WHY, HOW, WHEN and WHERE. Fortunately, our Creator has revealed the TRUTH to us in His Word, The Bible. The proof of its authenticity is PROPHECY. Much of the Bible is prophecy. It reveals future events, e.g. there were more than 300 prophecies of Jesus first coming, many 700 years before the events took place. Moreover, there are far more prophecies about Jesus second coming and many are unfolding in our time.

When Jesus was brought before the Roman Governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate, prior to His crucifixion, Pilate asked Jesus “What is truth?” This question was prompted by a previous question to Jesus: “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I am come into the world, that I should bear witness to the TRUTH. Everyone who is of the TRUTH hears My voice.“ John 18:37   

Jesus said to Thomas, I am the way, the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees or knows Him; but you know Him for He dwells with you and be in you..” John 14:16

Jesus prayed to our heavenly Father, “Sanctify them by your TRUTH. Your word is TRUTH.” John 17:17

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you FREE.” John 8:31-32

Sadly, Paul tells us what the world has done: “exchanged the TRUTH of God for the LIE, and served and worshiped the creature rather than the Creator.” Romans 1:25

Originally, the purpose of education had the right foundation – main end of a person is to know God, so Theology was the basis for all other study. Biblical truth was the foundation on which all else: ideas , philosophy etc was built. True education was built on a Biblical foundation and Christian principles. That has all changed due to materialism/evolution, liberalism, secularism, humanism. Cultural elites have grown hostile to Biblical Christianity, accepting evolution as fact. Deception is far more common than truth today. This is why things reported in the media are now more likely to be false or at least distorted. You can also now count on the same from most of the pulpits in the American church. The message of the typical American church today would be unrecognisable to the apostles of the first century. The same is true in most of the western world.

The disconnect from truth has come the same way in the media that it has in the church. Of course, this is not true in every church or the entire media. It’s easy to see in the media how there is now a tendency to report what they want to be true rather than what is true. Is that not how we have changed the gospel, the church, and even our concept of God into what we want them to be rather than how they are?

As mentioned, there are many end times prophecies. Peter talks of the mockery in the Last Days.  “Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the “last days”, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming (Jesus Second Coming)?” For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. For this they wilfully forget ; that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed  perished being flooded by water (Noah’s Flood). But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same word, reserved for fire until the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:3-7

Note: they wilfully forget God judged the entire earth with Noah’s Flood just 4,000 years ago, only eight people survived. Otherwise, the prophesied coming judgement with fire may also be true.

1,043 SCIENTISTS PUBLICLY SIGN ‘A SCIENTIFIC DISSENT FROM DARWINISM’

“There are 1,043 scientists on the ‘A Scientific Dissent from Darwinism’ list. It passed the 1,000 mark this month,” said Sarah Chaffee, a program officer for the Discovery Institute, which maintains the list.

“A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism” is a simple, 32-word statement that reads: “We are sceptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”

Launched in 2001, the list continues to collect support from scientists from universities across America and globally. Signers have earned their Ph.D.s at institutions that include Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth and the University of Pennsylvania. Others on the list earned their doctorates at Clemson, UT Austin, Ohio State, UCLA, Duke, Stanford, Emory, UNC Chapel Hill and many others universities. Still other signers are currently employed as professors across the nation.

Those who sign it “must either hold a Ph.D. in a scientific field such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or one of the other natural sciences; or they must hold an M.D. and serve as a professor of medicine,” according to the institute.

The group points out that signing the statement does not mean these scholars endorse “alternative theories such as self-organisation, structuralism, or intelligent design,” but rather simply indicates “scepticism about modern Darwinian theories central claim that natural selection acting on random mutations is the driving force behind the complexity of life.”

According to Discovery Institute Senior Fellow David Klinghoffer, the signers “have all risked their careers or reputations in signing.”

“Such is the power of group-think,” he wrote. “The scientific mainstream will punish you if they can, and the media is wedded to its narrative that ‘the scientists’ are all in agreement and only ‘poets,’ ‘lawyers,’ and other ‘daft rubes’ doubt Darwinian theory. In fact, I’m currently seeking to place an awesome manuscript by a scientist at an Ivy League university with the guts to give his reasons for rejecting Darwinism. The problem is that, as yet, nobody has the guts to publish it.”

In interviews with The College Fix, some of the list’s signers explained why they were willing to go public with their scepticism.

“[Darwin’s theory] claimed to explain all major features of life and I think that’s very unlikely. Nonetheless, I think Darwinism has gotten to be kind of an orthodoxy, that is it’s accepted in the scientific community unthinkingly and it’s taught to kids unthinkingly,” said Michael Behe, a professor of biological sciences at Lehigh University.

“Getting a list of scientists who point out that they don’t believe the orthodoxy can kind of open up some minds hopefully,” he said.

“It is clearly a growing trend with biology to think that Darwin missed a whole lot of biology and cannot explain a good deal of evolution,” Behe added.

Regarding how his colleagues view the list, Behe said, “Most of my peers are unaware of it, but those who are aware of it don’t like it one bit. They think that anybody who would sign such a list has to have a dishonourable motive for doing so.”

Taking a stand comes with a risk. Scott Minnich, an associate professor of microbiology at the University of Idaho, said he has many times been accused of being “anti-science.”

“I signed this list when it first came out because of this intellectual deep scepticism I have that the random unintelligent forces of nature can produce systems that outstrip our own intellectual capacity,” he told The Fix.

Minnich went on to quote the writer C.S. Lewis: “Men became scientific because they expected Law in Nature, and they expected Law in Nature because they believed in a Law Giver.”

David Dewitt, chair of the Department of Biology and Chemistry at Liberty University, told The College Fix in an email interview he signed the list because “I don’t believe that Darwinism accounts for all living things. Natural selection doesn’t produce new information and can’t.”

Dewitt said he’s not alone.

“I think more scientists are realising the limitations to Darwinism, specifically in regard to the origin of life and the complexity of the cell. So much of how cells actually work reveal how impossible it is that life arose from mutation and natural selection. As we have learned more and more about molecular and cellular biology, more scientists doubt Darwinism although they may not admit it for fear of repercussions,” Dewitt told The Fix in an email interview.

Shun Cheung, an associate professor of computer science at Emory University, referred The College Fix to his website to outline his concerns.

“When Darwin formulated his ‘evolution theory,’ [he] did not have good microscopes and the cell was a blob to him without any structure. Darwin thought that a cell was simple and without structure. We now know that a cell is like a complex factory consisting of many different components-each with a distinct function. Each part/component is necessary in the entire operation of the cell,” Cheung writes.
