ANOTHER GREAT TESTIMONY TO THE ONE TRUE GOD

All Blacks and Springboks Kneel in Prayer as injured Ardie Savea recounts encounter with God. They prayed to our Heavenly Father who sent His only son Jesus to Earth to provide the means of our restoration back into a right relationship with Him.

Isaiah prophesied Jesus first coming as a suffering servant but the religious leaders of the day only wanted the Messiah who would come as a conquering king to defeat their enemies. As there are 2000 prophecies of Jesus second coming as a conquering king and His coming Millennial reign it is no wonder their focus was on those prophecies. Let us look at Isaiah’s prophecy of Jesus first coming to Earth as the suffering servant.

“Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:4-12

Is it any wonder that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

All Blacks and Springboks players united in prayer after their Baltimore clash, while Christian captain Siya Kolisi and Ardie Savea continue to testify openly about Jesus. Four Tests, one series, everything on the line. When the final whistle went in Baltimore, the All Blacks and Springboks came together in a huddle, arm in arm, a mark of respect after one of the great rivalries in world rugby delivered another classic. New Zealand’s All Blacks and the South African Springboks have marked the close of their new Rugby test series with prayer. Side by side, both teams stood and knelt together with heads bowed after SA beat NZ 43-28 in the United States city of Baltimore.

While mainstream coverage was spread thin, South Africa’s public broadcaster acknowledged the prayer, as did Christian sports outreach platform Jesus My Goal (JMC).

JACINTA PRICE’S HUSBAND ON FAITH, FAMILY, FREEDOM AND FIGHTING CANCEL CULTURE

Colin Lillie speaks out on faith, family, freedom and fighting cancel culture. Colin Lillie is an award-wining songwriter and musician and the husband of Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price.

Colin Lillie is a man committed to faith, family and freedom. In that order. Speaking with The Daily Declaration, he said it wasn’t always that way. The talented musician (who is married to rising conservative star Jacinta Price) was born in Scotland. He’s also been in recovery for the past 18 years. Describing himself as a “Scozy” (Scottish Australian), Lillie testified to falling out with God, falling in with a bad crowd, and using alcohol to self-medicate trauma from an abusive past.

He credits God with righting the ship.

Raised in the church, he warmly recalled the experience as giving him time to breathe.

After his family had moved away from that Christian community, Lillie described a time of spiritual searching. Yet “nothing,” he shared, “seemed to ever fit.”

Discussing recovery and rediscovering the “connection with his higher power”, Lillie said, “I may have left God. He never left me.”

Almost two decades sober, he then recounted that reconnecting with Christ didn’t happen overnight. It took time.

While his Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step sponsor was a great man of faith, Lillie says he resisted the Christian concept of surrender as weakness.

It was only when he realised that God was the sole agent responsible for his salvation that Lillie put his broken life completely into God’s hands. With the sinner’s prayer in hand, Lillie turned his eyes towards the cross and asked God to turn his life around. This came complete with a desperate moment involving a river and the somewhat comical image of Lillie being kicked awake by an old Indigenous woman. Recalling his journey, Lillie said he “committed to doing whatever it took to change.”

His big three commitments today are: 1. Sobriety 2. Jacinta 3. Citizenship. In other words: faith, family and freedom.

Also big on the family list are his sons. “I’m proud of all my boys, Lillie shared, “and what incredible young men they’re becoming.” One of whom, he said, “became a strong Christian after doing the Alpha Course.” To this, Lillie asserted, “We need to remind boys and young men that they are very important in building a better tomorrow.”

The Gift of Music and Giving Glory to God

Letting God back into his life also unlocked Lillie’s vocation. With the gift of being sober came the gift of music. This gift, he explained, gave him a way “to speak truth in a way he never felt able to.” Talking further about his music career, Lillie told The Daily Declaration that music and testimony are “the best ways to communicate with people.”

As such, he now searches out opportunities to speak at rehabs. What grounds him is the Word, and a firm conviction that “You never stop learning.” One of those bigger lessons, he added, was learning that “You cannot stop God from being in your life once you’ve opened your heart to him.” Adamant, Lillie made it clear that he takes no credit for how far he’s come since then. Nor does he take credit for the family he has today. All that credit he hands back to God.

“When we follow Christ,” Lillie stated, “we are asked to examine our own hearts.” The goal is to be a good man, he added. That can only happen “by cultivating a relationship with God.”

GREAT TESTIMONY FROM 5 TIME GOLD MEDAL SWIMMER STEPHANIE RICE

Courtenay Hickey interviews her sister, Stephanie Rice (different fathers) 5 time gold medal swimmer. She was her first guest on her new Good To Know Podcast to share her testimony.

“God is doing such powerful things through you, and I cannot wait to see what He does in the future. We are praying and believing that this will set people free and they will come into a right relationship with God – He loves us so much.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16-17

Feeling rundown and at the end of the proverbial rope, Rice went to church. “I went to church with my sister who was a Christian and decided to open my heart to Jesus.”

“If I’m honest,” Rice reflected, “I had no idea if this was the ‘answer’ or if [it] would help, I just knew for sure that what I was doing wasn’t working and I was willing to try anything to feel hopeful again.” Sharing further, Rice said, “I’ve finally found that inner peace, stability, hope, encouragement, purpose and contentment that I was always looking for, just in all the wrong places.”

“I pray that more people would be open to Jesus.”

This is, she added, “because I just know He would heal your heart in ways you don’t even know are possible, and it would free you to dream and hope again, believing that anything is possible; because with Him, it really is.”

Now married to a Pastor and living in Dubai, Rice was earning a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Queensland when she declared a commitment to Christ.

Describing the MBA as a step of faith, Rice said in a LinkedIn post marking her graduation, “I learnt so much about myself on this two-year journey, and each course helped me discover and clarify where my natural, God-given skills, abilities and leadership lie.” “The most profound part of the journey,” she concluded, “has been how deeply healing it was.”

“Don’t let doubt be the loudest voice in your head,” Rice asserted. “Step out in faith and watch how kind the Lord is, meeting us exactly where we are and giving us everything we need.”

MESSI SAYS ‘GOD HAS TRULY SPOILED ME’ AFTER ARGENTINA’S WORLD CUP VICTORY

The 38-year-old scored a hat-trick as the defending champions began their tournament campaign, with Messi netting in the 17th minute, again just after the hour mark, and completing his treble with around 15 minutes remaining.

It was another landmark night for the Argentina captain, who continues to rewrite records at the highest level, including becoming the first player of his age to score a World Cup hat-trick.

Lionel Messi thanked God after leading Argentina to a 3-0 win over Algeria in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.

Speaking to DSPORTS Argentina after the match, he said: “I can’t ask for anything more than everything I’ve already received. As I’ve said many times, God has truly spoiled me. Everything that comes now is about enjoying it. I’m not focused on being first, second, third…,” the Argentina captain said.

Messi added that being considered among the greatest players in football history was “an incredible compliment”, saying he felt grateful for everything he has achieved in the game.

The Argentine star has previously spoken about his religious faith and the role he believes it has played in his career. In a 2024 interview, he said he believed his ability was “a gift” from God, adding: “It’s very clear to me that I was born like this because God chose me.”

He added at the time that he had tried to make the most of his talent, saying: “It is a gift God gave me. I try to take advantage of it, I do everything possible to squeeze the most out of it.”

Christian athlete Nicola Olyslagers has continued her strong season by winning the 2025 Wanda Diamond League Final—once again pointing to God as the source of her inspiration.

Last week, Cody Mitchell published an article on how Aussie athlete Nicola Olyslagers’s Christian faith motivates her to press through adversity. Her story is a powerful witness to the resilience and courage her Christian faith inspires. I encourage you to read that piece if you have not yet.

This weekend at the 2025 Wanda Diamond League Final, Nicola soared to new heights—beating her own Australian and Oceania records, clearing the highest mark of any athlete this year (2.04 metres), and outperforming the current world-record holder, Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh. 

What a great testimony this is of God’s power and faithfulness when we trust and obey. The least we can do is to share it with others.

A TRUE STORY OF RADICAL FORGIVENESS

Craig Deall’s family farm was seized by the government of Zimbabwe 20 years ago without any compensation. Rather than fight or flee, Craig’s faith compelled him to forgive – a decision that has reaped a great harvest in more ways than one.  Deall was raising his family on the same farm he grew up on when in 2003, the unthinkable happened.  “It was obviously extremely traumatic,” he told CBN News. The government forced Deall, his wife, and children to leave their home and farm that had been in his family since 1948 as part of the government’s land reform program. An effort to more equitably distribute land between black subsistence farmers and white Zimbabweans of European ancestry.  He had three choices. “We could fight, we could flee, or we could forgive“. “Some of my friends fought for their land and ended up getting killed for it,” Deall said. “Most of my friends left the country, and no answer is wrong. But we as a family decided to pursue the third option which was to forgive. (Only Christians can understand why anyone would make this decision. It is opposite to what Satan would have you do). We felt that if we chose bitterness instead of forgiveness, there’s no country far enough away where it doesn’t smell.”

Deall kept going back to one scripture in the Bible’s New Testament. In that scripture, Jesus says, ‘If a man steals your coat, give him your tunic as well.’ (Matthew 5:40) For us, it meant, if a man steals your farm, teach him how to farm. And that’s what we did. And with that, the pressure lifted, there was a great release over us, and we knew that God had opened up an avenue for us to serve the least of these and to bring them the Gospel,” he recalled. Deall moved his family to Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe, while about a dozen other families took over his house and land. He then joined a group called Foundations for Farming. There, he began to teach the new owners, as well as other small-scale farmers, a unique way of farming that God revealed to the group’s founder, Brian Oldreive. “He went with a child-like faith into virgin bush, into virgin forest and he sat there and he asked God, ‘Teach me how to farm’, and the two things that he saw is that there is no inversion tillage in nature. And the next thing he saw is that there is this beautiful mulch cover that covers the forest floor, and that’s actually God’s mechanism for feeding and protecting the soil,” Deall explained.

“So, he went back to his farm, and he literally tried it. Just without any tillage and no burning, which is contrary to the conventional way of farming, and he immediately got outstanding results like 10-time increment in yield,” he continued. “And so, he knew that it worked, and he started to grow it bigger and bigger but he knew that God had given him this revelation, not for himself but to extrapolate across the continent of Africa to the rural farmers, the hurting, the poor ones around the continent.” The success of the Zero-Tillage technique caught the attention of the Zimbabwe government which endorsed the method. And in 2020, the country experienced its first food surplus in two decades. “In fact, the food production has jumped four times, between three and four times, are the official estimates of the food increment in the year 2020,” Deall said.

The country’s main crop, corn, tripled with the method and now Foundations for Farming teaches the technique all over the world with the main goal of sharing the Gospel. “But 80% of what we teach is the heart. It’s using agriculture as an entry point for the gospel,” Deall said. Even with all their success, the Zimbabwean government never offered Deall any compensation for his home, land, or time teaching, but he says the way God has provided, he wouldn’t change a thing. “We have a saying in Foundations of Farming: ‘I used to own a farm in Africa, now Africa is my farm,’” he said. CONVERSION OF PROMINENT ATHEIST

He was even working for Richard Dawkins when Dawkins was publicly shaming Ray Comfort for videos that appeared as if Ray was saying that bananas prove the existence of God—which eventually culminated in Ray being known as The Banana Man. Yet by the grace of God, over a decade later, Josh ended up coming to Christ! Here’s his story. You will be encouraged in your faith by watching this video.

DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

One of the reasons I believe God is in control of all events that occur in His world is the number of divine appointments He arranges for me when I go on missionary trips. Now, when I go on trips I expect that God has gone before me to make sure the right people are sitting next to me. My trip to Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda in April/May of this year is a good example. I had ten airplane trips and two long bus trips and on every occasion, the person I sat next to was a ministry opportunity. It was mind-blowing. I gave away five of my books and am corresponding still with two of the connections made. As well, in Kenya, I stayed two nights at the Ark Guest House (owned by the Anglican Church) in Nairobi. At breakfast, I was joined by an Anglican minister who was in Nairobi for a conference with about 70 other Anglican ministers. He was taken by the fact that I had come all the way from Australia to put on a training session for leaders of the Kenya House Church Movement in Migori County. He sought me out at dinner the same evening and asked me if I was prepared to pray for him. What was missing from his and I expect many other Anglican church ministries was a belief in the work of the Holy Spirit in believers’ lives. We ended up going back to his room where I prayed for him and his ministry. He is one of the contacts with whom I still communicate.

Matt Augee who works in a ministry to veterans in the USA supplied this remarkable story about a divine appointment. 

“I had a God encounter a week ago at a veteran’s memorial monument when I was meeting a family to plan the celebration of life for the veteran they had recently lost. I felt God prompted me to go early and I arrived 25 minutes early, just in time to be there when a young woman walked in with her head down and face hidden and sat down at one of the memorials etched bricks in the ground and kept touching it and quietly sobbing and speaking without any sound. I watched her for a little bit and I instinctively felt that I needed to talk to her and that she was suicidal.

My service dog went over to her and sat down next to her and leaned on her. That opened up the opportunity for me to talk to her. She had lost all hope and she came to say goodbye to her grandfather who had raised her and died five years earlier. She came to say goodbye to him and then to take her own life right there. If I had not arrived early I would have come across a dead woman right there at the memorial. I asked her some questions and if she was open to talking about spiritual things and she was. I was able to pray for her and to get her help from our staff which gave her hope. She has subsequently, texted us to let us know that she’s doing better but she’s going to need a lot of care and follow-up. I’m just grateful that I was in the right place at the right time and ready to talk with her and give her hope in Jesus.”

The big question for all of us is are we available for Gods use and expectant on all occasions?
