O.T PROPHECIES OF ISRAEL’S MESSIAH RULING THE NATIONS

God revealed to Israel, through Moses, before they went into the promised land their entire history, and as will be seen from this post that God revealed to all the O.T prophets the end of the story for Israel, that God would regather the Jews back to Israel and their Messiah would fulfil their destiny by ruling all the nations of the world from a magnificent new Jerusalem.

1. Moses

Moses foretells Israel’s future apostasy, scattering, and eventual restoration:

“When you are in distress… and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice… He will not forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.” Deut. 4:25–31

Predicts dispersion and end-time return

Deuteronomy 28:63–68; 30:1–10

  • Chapter 28: Details Israel’s scattering among the nations.
  • Chapter 30: Promises national restoration and blessing when they return to God.

“Then the Lord your God will gather you again from all the peoples… and will bring you into the land your fathers possessed.” Deut. 30:3

Numbers 24:17–19 (Prophecy of Balaam)

“A Star shall come out of Jacob; a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel…” Numbers 24:17
➡️ A direct Messianic prophecy — the coming King from Israel who rules over nations.

2. David, and possibly Ezra (Psalm 2)

Psalm 2:6–12

“I have set My King on Zion, My holy hill… Ask of Me, and I shall give You the nations for Your inheritance.” Psalms 2:6,8
➡️ Messianic reign over the nations — Christ’s kingdom centred in Jerusalem.

Psalm 72:8–11

“He shall have dominion from sea to sea… all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.” Psalms 72:8,11
➡️ Messiah’s worldwide rule during the Millennial Kingdom.

2. Isaiah

“The mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established… all nations shall flow to it… He shall judge between the nations...” Isaiah 2:2,4
➡️ Global peace and Messianic rule from Jerusalem.

“The government will be upon His shoulder… of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David...” Isaiah 9:6-7
➡️ Eternal Davidic-Messianic kingdom.

Isaiah 11:1–10

  • The righteous “Branch” from Jesse rules in justice.
  • Universal peace — even nature is transformed.

“For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Isaiah 11:9

Isaiah 60–62

  • Israel glorified and restored.
  • The nations bring their wealth to Jerusalem.
  • Justice is swift on nations that do not serve.

“Nation shall not lift up sword against nation… For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish… the wealth of the nations shall come to you… your gates shall be open continually.” Isaiah 60:11,12

3. Jeremiah

Jeremiah 23:5–8

“I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; He shall reign as King… Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely.” Jeremiah 23:5,6
➡️ The Messianic King over a restored Israel.

Jeremiah 30:3; 31:1–14; 33:14–26

  • Regathering out of all nations.
  • New covenant blessings.

“For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people… I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it. I will cause their captivity to return, and will build them as at the first.” Jeremiah 30:3

4. Ezekiel

Ezekiel 36–37

  • 36: Israel gathered back to their land and spiritually renewed.
  • 37: The “dry bones” vision — national resurrection.

“I will put My Spirit within you… and I will place you in your own land.“ Ezekiel 37:14

Ezekiel 38–39

  • Armageddon-like invasion and divine deliverance of Israel.

Ezekiel 40–48

  • Detailed prophecy of the Millennial Temple and land divisions.

5. Daniel

Daniel 2:44–45

“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed… it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms.”
➡️ The eternal Messianic Kingdom on earth.

Daniel 7:13–14, 18, 27

“One like the Son of Man came… to Him was given dominion and a kingdom… the saints of the Most High shall possess the kingdom forever.”
➡️ Christ’s reign shared with glorified saints.

6. Hosea

Hosea 3:4–5

“Israel shall abide many days without a king… afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord… in the latter days.”
➡️ Long dispersion and end-time turning to God.

7. Amos

Amos 9:11–15

“In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen… I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up.”
➡️ Davidic rule restored; permanent restoration of Israel.

8. Micah

Micah 4:1–8

“Out of Zion shall go forth the law… the Lord shall reign over them in Mount Zion from henceforth, even forever.”
➡️ Millennial reign from Jerusalem.

9. Zechariah

Zechariah 8:2–8; 12:9–10; 14:4–9, 16–21

  • Israel saved and restored.
  • Messiah personally appears on the Mount of Olives.

“Thus says the Lord: I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain… Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favour of the Lord…And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn… The Lord shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall there be one Lord, and His name one.” Zechariah 8:3,22, 12:9,10, 14:9

COVENANTS GOD MADE WITH ISRAEL INCLUDING THE NEW COVENANT TO COME

God made three covenants with Israel. The Abrahamic Covenant and the Davidic Covenant have been partially fulfilled but the New Covenant is future.

The Abrahamic Covenant: outlines the exact borders Israel is to possess; the nation of Israel has yet to encompass these specific boundaries (Numbers 34:1-12).

The Davidic Covenant  is the promise that God made to David that David’s heir would sit on the throne of Israel. Jesus is that heir, but He has yet to take His physical, political birth right (2 Samuel 7).

The New Covenant: It outlines the promise that Israel as a nation will return to God and worship their Messiah. These covenants will all be fulfilled during Jesus soon coming 1000-year reign.

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke… For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. COMING END TIMES WAR AGAINST ISRAEL

Biblical end times prophecies tell us that the nations around Israel will come against Israel in a war that only God’s intervention saves them.

“The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, turn your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and say: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour out torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone on him, as well as his troops and the many peoples who are with him. I will display My greatness and holiness, and will reveal Myself in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh… Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel. Context: Gog and Magog lead a coalition including Persia (modern Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, and Togarmah (often linked to regions in modern Turkey or Central Asia). These nations come against Israel in a future battle.

Divine Intervention: Ezekiel 38:18–23 and 39:1–6 describe God’s wrath against these nations, with supernatural events (earthquakes, pestilence, fire) destroying the invaders, ensuring Israel’s deliverance.

THE TRUE STORY ON AID TO GAZA

While accusations persist that Israel is deliberately starving Gaza as part of a genocidal strategy, the evidence overwhelmingly shows otherwise. Israel has not only facilitated massive humanitarian aid inflows, but has done so under extreme wartime conditions, despite Hamas‘s ongoing rocket attacks, hostage-taking, and deliberate sabotage of aid distribution.

Since October 7, 2023:

  • Israel has delivered unprecedented aid volumes—nearly 2 million tons via 90,000+ trucks, airdrops, and sea routes—proving no intent to starve.
  • Famine claims are isolated to Hamas-dominated combat zones, not Israeli-controlled areas.
  • The Integrated (Food Security) Phase Classification’s (IPC) declaration hinges on eased, opaque criteria, fuelling misleading narratives.
  • Starvation deaths remain minimal compared to famine thresholds, with violence as the primary killer.
  • Hamas’s aid theft, black-market profiteering, and refusal to end the war are the true drivers of suffering, turning humanitarian crises into weapons against Israel.

This isn’t genocide or deliberate starvation—it’s a tragic consequence of Hamas’s aggression and manipulation. International bodies should demand accountability from Hamas, not enable its tactics through biased reporting. The mainstream media are propagating fake news again.

Please note that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has been praised by its supporters for delivering millions of meals to Gaza’s civilians under challenging conditions, aiming to bypass Hamas aid diversion and provide a secure, direct distribution system. Its efforts focus on addressing acute food insecurity through partnerships, logistical innovation, and U.S. backing, with a reported $30 million commitment from the U.S. government. Hamas have repeatedly attacked GHF distribution as they lose control and political power.

Hamas’s role in exacerbating suffering cannot be ignored. Multiple reports document the group’s systematic diversion of aid for military purposes, including reselling supplies on black markets to fund terrorism—estimated to have netted Hamas nearly $1 billion since the war began.

ISRAEL WILL RULE ALL OF THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD

If only the world knew that the tiny nation of Israel is the nation God established for His purposes and in the not too distant future it will finally fulfill its destiny when Jesus returns to destroy the Antichrist’s army at the battle of Armageddon. Jesus will then set up His Millennial Kingdom from a reconstructed Jerusalem on the highest mountain of the world.

Jerusalem in the Millennium on the highest mountain. During the time God pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world with the Trumpet (Revelation 8:6-) and Bowl judgements (Revelation 16:1-), the topography of the world is changed.

“And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.” Revelation 16:30

Thank goodness God told us in advance how the end times will play out for both Jews and Christians. It is a time of tribulation that escalates to great tribulation before God steps in and raptures the living Saints to heaven, but not before He raises the dead in Christ first.

Where do you stand with God? Proverbs 9:10 tells us that: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”, do you fear Him? You should as He hold your future in His hands. If you reject His wonderful offer of salvation through Jesus Christ then you will face His coming wrath, poured out with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements. I have given you the Scriptures outlining what is coming, Do you really want to face them?

The fifth Trumpet judgement: “Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.” Revelation 9:3-6
