Fear not, you beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness are green; the tree bears its fruit; the fig tree and vine give their full yield. “Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before. “The threshing floors shall be full of grain; the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you.
“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame.“ Joel 2: 18-27

Israel’s Joy and Restoration

“Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies.
The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. I will gather those of you who mourn for the festival, so that you will no longer suffer reproach. Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. And I will save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise and renown in all the earth. At that time I will bring you in, at the time when I gather you together; for I will make you renowned and praised among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes,” says the Lord.” Zephaniah 3:14-20

“Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

PROPHESIED END-TIMES SIGNS INCREASING

It is shocking and unfathomable that the brutal attack by Hamas on Israel, October 7, 2023 — an assault not only on a nation, but on its right to exist in that small patch on the globe, the only home the United Nations has allowed the Jewish people, has resulted in antisemitism worldwide. This is spiritual warfare which fits with what Jesus said would happen to Jews and Christians just prior to His return with the glorified Saints to restore righteousness.

AUSTRALIA: This article reports on a recent rally; As Melbourne reels from attacks on synagogues and Israeli-owned businesses, a rare coalition of faith communities gathered peacefully over the weekend to reclaim the moral ground in a nation struggling against rising terror and intimidation.

On Sunday, in Melbourne, fifteen organisations from three different communities — Hindus, Iranians and Israelis — gathered with one unified purpose: to stand against terrorism.

The rally came amid rising violence, public apathy, and a growing ideological threat not just to Israel, but to the very foundations of Australian democracy and religious freedom. Despite the hopeful turnout, many there questioned why only a few hundred people showed up, especially after the recent terror attacks in Melbourne. Where was the outrage? Where were the crowds? Only a handful of Christians came to stand in solidarity — three from the Family First Party and a few others.

As Gideon Rozner, Policy Director at the Institute of Public Affairs stated bluntly: “No Australian should have their place of worship firebombed.” But the painful truth remains — there have been no real consequences for these acts of violence and for the chants of death and terror that have plagued Melbourne’s streets.

Since the Never Again Is Now rally in May 2024, turnout has dwindled. Each Sunday morning, only 10 to 30 people — a few brave Jews, Christians and atheists — stand quietly in the CBD. They face down noisy, drum-beating, aggressive pro-Palestinian protestors shouting: “Kill the Jews,” “F… the Jews,” “Death to the IDF.”

Instead of arresting those who threaten violence, police have moved on the peaceful crowd and even threatened them with arrest simply for being in the city.

One Sunday, a Christian woman had her Lion of Judah flag ripped from her hand. Her husband gave chase to recover it — and was pepper-sprayed by police. On another morning, an elderly woman with a flag on an umbrella was grabbed by police, their arms tightly around her neck.

Melbourne, once one of the most successful multicultural cities in the world, is now almost unrecognisable. For 21 months, it has teetered on the edge of something dangerous.

Folks we are living in the end times. God established the nation of Israel for His purposes, and despite its disobedience, God will fulfill the many promises He made that Israel will one day be the leader of the nations with its Messiah, Jesus ruling reigning over the nations from a new Jerusalem for one thousand years.

RULING AND REIGNING WITH JESUS AND THE SAINTS ON THIS EARTH

PEOPLE AND ANIMALS IN JESUS’S COMING MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

In the beginning, when God created the Earth and humans in His image, until the Fall of mankind, there was no death and humans and animals lived in harmony. Remember, God had Adam name all the animals, and they were subject to him.

This will certainly be the same when God creates the new heaven and new earth, but will it be the case when Jesus rules and reigns on this earth during His Millennial Kingdom? Sadly, I do not think so as the curse is not lifted, and people and animals still die. However, biblical prophecy reveals that Israel, as God’s nation, will be blessed above all others. In the following Scripture, it states that these animals’ shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, so this may apply in Israel.

“The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the Lord.“ Isaiah 65:25

“You shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory, you shall boast. Instead of your shame, there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonour, they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore, in their land, they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.” Isaiah 61:6-7

This video shows how a man developed a friendly long-term relationship with a shark after he had removed a hook from its mouth. It gives us a snapshot of what it was like before the Fall and what it will be like on the new earth.

JESUS KINGDOM WILL COME, AND HIS WILL WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

“Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” This statement is up front in the only prayer our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray to our Heavenly Father. How many times has this prayer been prayed, and yet it has not come to pass? But you can rest assured it will, and Biblical end-times prophecy reveals it is not too far off.

Before 1948, Israel did not exist as a nation, so all the Biblical end-times prophecies about Israel and of Jesus returning to Earth on the Mount of Olives to rescue the nation of Israel made no sense. Hence, the miraculous rebirth of Israel was the first major Biblical end-times prophecy that was fulfilled.

The Bible reveals God will regather the Jews from all the Nations, and on Jesus’ return, with Him ruling and reigning, Israel will realise her destiny as head of the Nations. 

“Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone and will gather them from all around, and bring them to their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned and will cleanse them, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 37:21-23

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry on this earth, He recited Isaiah 61:1-2 in the synagogue:

“He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” Isaiah 61:1-2

But note what He did then. “And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. “And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:20-21

Jesus did not read the rest of Isaiah’s prophecy because it refers to His second coming. Look at the incredible amount of detail it provides about what will happen at Jesus second coming to earth and during His Millennial reign.

“And the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory, you shall boast. Instead of your shame, there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonour, they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore, in their land, they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. For I the Lord love justice, hate, robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.” Isaiah 61:2-11

To fulfil Isaiah’s and Ezekiel’s prophecies 37:21-23, as well as the many other O.T. and N.T. prophecies on Jesus’ second coming, the Millennium Kingdom is a necessary transition before the new heaven and new earth. God tells us He will make Israel one nation and make a new covenant with them. He will ensure they never backslide again. The saved and the unsaved alike will behold Jesus’ rightful place as the divine sovereign of the universe.

GROK 3 AND JESUS MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

Grok 3 responded: Yes, that’s correct! According to the biblical teachings, after Jesus’ second coming, he will establish his millennial kingdom on Earth for a thousand years. During this time, Jesus will reign as the rightful King of Kings and Lord of Lords, bringing peace, justice, and prosperity to the world. The millennial kingdom will also serve as a time for the restoration of all things, as God will finally put an end to sin, sickness, and death, and creation will be fully restored to its original glory.

Grok 3 got the last sentence wrong. The Millennial Kingdom is a transition period; it is not the time for the restoration of all things. In fact, whilst Satan is bound in the Abyss for most of the thousand years. God releases him at the end and he is still able to raise an army like the sand of the sea to come against Jesus and the glorified Saints.

“And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them.” Revelation 20:7-9

The restoration of all things takes place after this earth is destroyed by fire. Then, the second resurrection of the dead occurs, followed by Jesus’ White Throne judgment. Only after it, does John see the magnificent new Jerusalem descending from the new heaven onto a new Earth where only the righteous dwell.

JESUS COMING MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

THE TIMING OF THE SEVEN SEALS OF REVELATION

The 9th of Av (the fifth month on the Jewish calendar—-July/August on the Gregorian calendar) is one of the darkest days of enormous historic importance to the Jews.

The events in history that occurred on the 9th of Av prove that God is in control of history: 1. The ten spies sent by Moses encouraged the Israelites not to enter the promised land. 2. The walls of Jerusalem were breached during the Babylonian invasion of Jerusalem. 3. The destruction of the First Temple in 586 BC. 4. The destruction of the Second Temple in AD 70. 5. The expulsion of Jews from England in 1290. 6. The expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1490. 7. The 9th of November is remembered as Kristallnacht, when Nazi thugs attacked Jewish shops, homes and synagogues across Germany and Austria. Historians point to it as the beginning of the use of violence against the Jews by the Nazis and marks the start of the Holocaust.

In the future, events during the 70th Week of Daniel may also have significant events fulfilled on Jewish historic dates. The 70th week of Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27) is the last seven years before Jesus returns first to raise the dead in Christ and then rapture the Saints that are alive before pouring out His wrath upon the unrepentant with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements. Jesus then returns to Earth with some of the resurrected Saints to save Israel and destroy the Antichrist and False Prophet and his army at the battle of Armageddon. Jesus will then usher in His Millennial Kingdom (www.millennialkingdom.net).

A case can be made that the 7 Sealed Scroll will be opened on the Feasts of the Lord. All the Spring Feasts predicted Jesus’s First coming, so it is reasonable to assume that the Fall Feasts will predict His second coming. The Resurrection and Rapture will occur on Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) (which occurs at the Seventh Seal), which is one of the seven Feasts of the Lord, or appointed times, in the Fall. The end of the 70th Week of Daniel) will happen on Yom Kippur, which will occur at the end of the seventh year. Let’s investigate the possibility that all the other seals will be opened on Feast days as well during each of the seven years of the 70th Week. If the 70th Week of Daniel begins exactly seven years before its completion (on Yom Kippur of the Seventh Year), that means that the 70th Week will also begin on a Yom Kippur—-the Yom Kippur at the very start

If the seven seals truly are opened chronologically on each of the seven Feasts of the Lord, and if the First Seal is opened on Yom Kippur of the First Year, then all the seals could be opened in successive chronologic order in each of the seven years and end with the Seventh Seal opened on Yom Teruah of the Sixth Year, which we already know is its proper date of fulfillment. It is really quite amazing how the events happening in each of the seven years align with the events and symbols of the seven Feasts of the Lord. This further indicates that God has ordained significant happenings to occur at the appointed times of the Feast days and shows his omnipotent hand.

EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH OF AMERICA PROMOTES GODDESS WORSHIP

A Lutheran church in San Francisco that was founded nearly 150 years ago now worships a “goddess” and has a “resident witch” on staff. Formerly known as Ebenezer Lutheran Church, “herchurch” is a congregation within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and is part of the progressive denomination’s Sierra Pacific Synod, which consists of approximately 180 “worshipping communities” across Northern California and Northern Nevada, according to its website.

The staff, which is led by “pastor and priestess of ritual” Stacy Boorn, includes over a half dozen “priestesses” and a “priestexx” Thom Longino, who is listed as “adjunct pastor” and “spiritual director.” A CP review of Longino’s LinkedIn profile also revealed that he is an employee of Catholic Charities San Francisco. 

A video of Longino discussing his work with homeless LGB-identified youth at San Francisco Night Ministry is featured on the YouTube page of Megan Rohrer, who made headlines in 2021 as the first openly trans-identified bishop to serve in a major denomination. Rohrer was later suspended after allegedly using “racist” language.

One of “herchurch” priestesses, Christine Konkol, identifies as a “resident witch” and is seen in a photo on the church website wearing a traditional witch’s hat. 

Described as an “open and affirming community” where all are “loved in the love of Christ-Sophia and the Great Mother of us All,” the church’s website calls “all expressions of gender identity…a blessing.” As part of its about section, its website calls “herchurch” an “emerging, liberating feminist congregation” which is “hoping to be a part of the prophetic voice of the divine feminine that will deconstruct Christianity and other patriarchal religions.”

What more evidence do Christians need to realise we are in the Biblical prophesied time of a great falling away in the church (apostasy) (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The time before Jesus returns to rapture His church and pour out His wrath upon an unrepentant world. Jesus then returns to Earth to defeat the Antichrist army at the battle of Armageddon and usher in His Millennial Kingdom.

The purpose of the thousand-year reign is to allow God to fulfil the promises He made with Jesus, Israel, the Saints, and the Creation to vindicate His Holy name.

“Then the end will come when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. For He must reign until He has put all of His enemies under His feet..” 1 Corinthians 15:24-25.

The Millennium is the 1,000-year period in which Jesus will rule this world in partnership with resurrected saints (Rev. 20:4-6). Understanding the Millennium gives us insight into what the Lord is preparing His people for.

“I saw thrones, and they [saints from Rev. 19:14] sat on them, and judgment [decision making] was committed to them…and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 6…but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

JESUS WILL BE KING OF ALL NATIONS IN THE MILLENNIUM

“The Head over every ruler and authority.” Colossians 2:10

Not many denominations hold to Jesus ruling and reigning on this Earth for 1000 years before God destroys this Earth with fire, and yet many great historians and churchmen can be cited in affirming the early dominance of Premillennialism. Among them is the celebrated church historian Philip Schaff. He penned this oft-quoted passage:

“The most striking point in the eschatology of the ante-Nicene age is the prominent chiliasm or millenarianism, that is the belief of a visible reign of Christ in glory on earth with the risen saints for a thousand years, before the general resurrection and judgment. It was indeed not the doctrine of the church embodied in any creed or form of devotion, but a widely current opinion of distinguished teachers, such as Barnabas, Papias, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Tertullian, Methodius, and Lactantius” History of the Christian Church Vol 11, p. 614 Philip Schaff.

Justin Martyr was an overtly premillennial ante-Nicene church father. Justin gave his most famous statement on the Millennium: “For if you have fallen in with some who are called Christians, but who do not admit this [truth] and venture to blaspheme the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; who say there is no resurrection of the dead, and that their souls, when they die, are taken to heaven; do not imagine that they are Christians . . . But I and others, who are right-minded Christians on all points, are assured that there will be a resurrection of the dead, and a thousand years in Jerusalem, which will then be built, adorned, and enlarged, [as] the prophets Ezekiel and Isaiah and others declare.” Dialogue with Trypho LXXX, p.239

Two of the greatest ante-Nicene fathers were Irenaeus and Tertullian (AD 160-230). Irenaeus grew up in Asia Minor and was discipled by Polycarp, who knew the Apostle John.

Irenaeus had a very extensive view of Bible prophecy in his last five chapters of Against Heresies, which were suppressed throughout the Middle Ages by anti-premillennialists and rediscovered in 1571. The restoration of a more literal interpretation and reading of the early church fathers by many post-reformationists led to a revival of premillennialism in the early 1600s. Irenaeus’ writings played a key role because of their clear premillennial statements. “John, therefore, did distinctly foresee the first ‘resurrection of the just,’ and the inheritance in the kingdom of the earth,” he says, “and what the prophets have prophesied concerning it harmonize [with his vision].” Again, Irenaeus declares, “But when this Antichrist shall have devastated all things in this world, he will reign for three years and six months, and sit in the temple at Jerusalem; and then the Lord will come from heaven in the clouds, in the glory of the Father, sending this man and those who follow him into the lake of fire; but bringing in for the righteous the times of the kingdom.”

Tertullian, who gave us the Latin word “Trinity” was also a strong premillennialist. He makes his premillennialism clear when he says the following: “But we do confess that a kingdom is promised to us upon the earth, although before heaven, only in another state of existence; inasmuch as it will be after the resurrection for a thousand years in the divinely-built city of Jerusalem, ‘letdown from heaven,’ which the apostle also calls ‘our mother from above;’ and, while declaring that our citizenship is in heaven, he predicts of it that it is really a city in heaven.’’ This both Ezekiel had knowledge of, and the Apostle John beheld.”

Another outstanding premillennialist of the early church was Lactantius (AD 250-330) of North Africa. He wrote an important defence of Christianity that was the first systematic expression of Christianity called The Divine Institutes, which included a section on prophecy. Lactantius said: “But when the thousand years shall be completed, the world shall he renewed by God, and the heavens shall be folded together, and the earth shall be changed, and God shall transform men into the similitude of angels, and they shall be white as snow; and they shall always be employed in the sight of the Almighty, and shall make offerings to their Lord, and serve Him for ever.”

The death of Lactantius in AD 325 marked the end of Premillennialism as a commonly held belief in the church until after the Reformation of the 16th century. No doubt there were some saints that read the Scriptures and believed what they said about the Messianic Age, though their teachings on the matter are few.

Origen and Allegory: It is difficult to overestimate the level of influence Origen and his allegorical hermeneutic had in shaping much of the Christian world’s approach to Scripture. One of his students, Dionysius, strongly opposed the promotion of Premillennialism through exegesis by the Egyptian church bishop Nepos. On what followed, German Lutheran Theologian, Adolf von Harnack (1851-1930) recounted: “Dionysius became convinced that the victory of mystical theology over “Jewish” chiliasm would never be secure so long as the Apocalypse of John passed for apostolic writing and kept its place among the homologoumena (those considered authoritative) of the canon . . . During the 4th century, it was removed from the Greek canon, and thus the troublesome foundation on which chiliasm might have continued to build was got rid of . . . late in the Middle Ages, (God ensured) the Book of Revelation did recover its authority; however, the church was by that time so hopelessly entangled by a magical cultus as to be incapable of fresh developments.” Harnack’s explanation reveals that Dionysius was also motivated by a distaste for Judaism.

Theologian Renald Showers elaborated on the influence of antisemitism of the time. “Gentiles who professed to be Christians increasingly called Jews “Christ-killers” and developed a strong bias against anything Jewish. Because the premillennial belief in the earthly, political Kingdom rule of Messiah in the future was the same hope which had motivated the Jews for centuries, that belief was increasingly “stigmatized as ‘Jewish’ and consequently ‘heretical’” by eastern Gentile Christians.”

Some of the same people who claimed to worship a Jew as God in the flesh and hold up the Scriptures that were written by Jews (cf. Rom 3:1–2), were at the same time eager to separate themselves from what was Jewish. What absurdity! Unfortunately, this attitude is still commonplace in much of the Christian world to various degrees today.
