REPORT FROM CHARLES ON THE DEATH OF GADDAFI, SON OF THE LEADER OF THE NYAROMBO HOUSE CHURCH: The sad news of the death of Gaddafi, the son of the former Roman Catholic priest now leading the newly formed Nyarombo house church group, was received by us from Pastor Jacob, on the morning of Monday before making our way back home from our mission trip to Nyamuzi in Tanzania. Gaddafi was aged 16 yrs old and was a believer. He was suffering from Tuberculosis. His father said, he had been suffering from the disease for a long time. Sadly if they had had the money it could have been treated successfully. You will remember that Nyarombo house church was recently founded by the grace of God. The power of the Holy spirit made it possible to open the understanding of our brother (the father to the deceased) and his family to hear the gospel message. The Nyarombo church group was birthed as a result of his conversion. Kenya house Church movement (KHC) with the help of brother Ron Edwards, was able to help with all the preparations for the funeral and on Friday, June 11th/2021, we conducted the burial, and it was very successful. Despite a few challenges, because it followed so closely to our mission trip to Tanzania. KHC movement, and the Nyarombo house church, is very much thankful and do appreciate brother Ron Edwards for his financial support he helped give to the grieving family to help pay a hospital medical bill for the late Gaddafi. Personally, I give my gratitude to all our KHC movement team for their support and commitment to ensure the burial outcome was positive.. Below is the attached pictures for the burial of the late GADDAFI. Thank you ALL for your prayers, commitment and support.
Pastor Charles has just returned from a successful Mission Trip to Tanzania to learn that the young son of the leader of a recently established Home Church in Nyarombo Kenya had died.
The following request from Charles is self explanatory if you would like to help raise the requested small sum of $200 to help then do so at the Donations icon on my Home Page (far right). It would be good to exceed the amount requested.
To all KHC leaders: You are now aware that we have lost the beloved young son of our new KHC leader in Nyarombo.
The burial is set to take place this week, on Friday 11th, 2021.
You will remember that Nyarombo house church was recently founded by the grace of God. The power of the Holy spirit made it possible to open the understanding of our brother and his family to hear the Gospel message., The Nyarombo church group was birthed as a result of his conversion.
In a case like this one, you all know how the KHC movement normally conduct ourselves. Therefore, I urge the leaders of KHC house churches to do all that is necessary to ensure the outcome is positive since this is to be the first burial we are going to conduct in this new territory in the midst of our religious opponents. All KHC leaders and members will start meeting there on Thursday morning, in preparation for the burial on Friday. Please remember all the Covid19 protocols must be observed.
To Ron Edwards & LEN team: It is just one day ago, four KHC leaders came back home from the mission trip to the republic of Tanzania. Now this has happened to our new brother in Nyarombo house church group and we know he does not have sufficient funds to settle a hospital bill let alone funeral costs
On behalf of KHC movement, I kindly request you to help us assist him with Au$ 200. The remaining needed expenses like coffin and transportation cost, KHC leaders have agreed to help support him.
You will remember that this is a newly founded house church group ,and all eyes are focused on us, wanting to see how KHC movement will stand in support of this brother.
As most of my followers know I support the Kenya House Church Movement in Kenya started many years ago now by Pastor Charles Owino Otieno. It has grown to ten house church groups with a new group started just weeks ago with the conversion of a Catholic priest. The circumstances surrounding his conversion provide a great story which I will use for another LEN post. However, shortly after Charles returned home I received the following email from Alfred one of the KHC leaders.
I received a report from Charles, and I later saw him addressing the media on one of our local radio stations, reporting on the earthquake that shook their area and left three people dead, and several others injured. I understand that among the victims of the earthquake was Charles’s mother and one of his brothers. I will be travelling together with my wife going to the home of Charles tomorrow, to see the family.
The following report is from Charles: “The tragedy happened on my property. This picture was taken on my own farm. .
This was not a normal flood, the kind we know and we have seen many times. This was different. A normal flood erodes the soil surface, sweeps away vegetation, animals and destroys houses. But this one was a combination of both an earthquake and heavy rainfall. It covered a wide area of land, It devastated our property leaving behind a very big empty valley about 5kms long and 5 to 6 metres deep, as you can see in this picture. My house church group had planted a maize farm on this land which was about to mature and it was all swept away. And you may also remember that our economic activities here is farming so we are back to square one.
I have already sent $250 to help, but as I am a pensioner now, I am limited in what I am able to contribute. I would appreciate help from some of my LEN followers. You can make a donation by clicking on the Donation icon on the Home Page. If you would like me to acknowledge your donation on this website please let me know. Also, if you would like to become a regular supporter of KHC that would be appreciated. We have a number of projects that need funding. A printer to produce training materials in Swahili is first on the list. Charles would like to print off the ICCC Transformed Working Life series for the leaders. Also, I have previously requested support to purchase a computer for Charles and then for some of the other leaders so they can access training videos from Christian organisations like CMI and others that support Home Church Groups. I will also be able to hold regular Zoom meetings with Charles and the other KHC leaders.
I received the following email from Pastor Charles Otieno Owino. He is the leader of the Kenya House Church Movement which God is growing exponentially because it is all about making disciples who make disciples. There are no paid pastors nor church buildings. My followers would know that I have been connected with this group almost two years now. Moreover, my involvement as a Board Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) Australia has enabled me to connect the KHC group with the President of ICCC Kenya, Rene Kiamba who is introducing them to the ICCC training materials in particular the Transformed Working Life Series available for free on http://www.transformedworkinglife.net.
On a recent Zoom Meeting, which I organised when all of the KHC leaders were together with Charles in Migori, I had the opportunity to hear the testimonies of all the leaders. Not all had English so one of the leaders fluent in Swahili and English acted as interpreter. It was a humbling but wonderful occasion for me as I realised what a privilege it is to be able to support my brothers work in this relatively poor country.
The background to the following email was a request from Charles for a small amount of money to bring several of the KHC leaders to Migori for a meeting with a number of Catholics including a priest who are interested in starting a KHC group in their area. I asked Charles for more background information on the reason for the meeting and the priest.
Dear Ron. 22nd April 2021
The Roman Catholic priest is one of the priests under a chief priest in Nyarombo church, Oruba Paris, Migori county.
I connected with him through my aunt, who for many years had been a Roman Catholic sister at Rakwaro seminary, where she lived most of her life. As a sister in the church, she was unable to marry.
God gave me an opportunity, to share with her the word of God, something which did not take me a year, but nearly 3 years, until she came to the truth of God’s Word and came out of the convent. She is now a believer; a disciple of Jesus Christ and she is married.
I understand she knew this priest for many years back in her days as a Catholic sister. I am sure it is no coincidence that they are now neighbours that she is married. The opportunity came up for her to share with the priest her newfound faith. The Holy Spirit has given her favour with him and she has met with the priest regularly to share God’s Word.
She then knew it was time to tell him about me and organised for me to meet him in her home. I have been meeting with him and sharing the word of God over several months now.
As I have shared with you, my time with him has borne fruit and he has invited KHC leaders to meet him and other people, in his home this week.
Requesting your prayers for a positive outcome from our meeting with him and this Catholic group.
If you feel led, please pray for Charles and the KHC leaders. I will let you know the outcome in another KHC post. Also, if you would like to join with me in supporting the KHC group then go to the DONATIONS link on the Home Page.
Jewish company is helping Kenyan farmers (already 32,000). Adam Abramson, the Founder of the Israeli company Farmster, discovered that hundreds of millions of African farmers were not receiving fair prices for the produce they were harvesting. So, his team developed an app, Farmster granting access to a large market of buyers in Africa, enabling them to sell their products at the right market price.
The International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) has supported the organisation Arise from conception to inception. Each year ICCC hosts an Arise Summit to assist Israeli start up companies.
As a Board member of ICCC Australia part of the support I am giving the Kenya House Church Movement is to help their business people transform their working lives so they build Kingdom businesses empowered by the Holy Spirit. If you would like to support this effort you can do so by clicking on the Donate icon on the Home Page
What is a Kingdom business? The author has impressive experience growing significant businesses before he became a Christian at age 47 and then thirty years experience growing a Kingdom business. You will clearly apprehend the difference. An interesting turbulent portion of Abbott Laboratories history is revealed with an added perspective, a Godly view of the events. My report on the Kenya House Church Movement consists of three emails from pastors there. The final email being from Pastor Charles the founder and leader of the KHC Movement. In it he mentions a project I would like to fund. It is to provide Pastor Charles with a computer and large TV Screen to enable them to connect with me and other Para Church organisations via Zoom. We need approx $1500 if you are able to donate please do so by clicking on our Donate icon on the Home page.
The first is from Pastor Maurice who just lost his wife to Covid 19.
The burial of my wife, the late Hellen, ended well yesterday. I’m very thankful for the support of kshs 20000/, I received from you, through my leader Charles. Your support helped me a lot! I’m thankful to all my co-pastors and the community of KHC, brothers and sisters who stood with me all through this period of difficult time.
I would request you all to put me and my family in your prayers, for peace, health and restoration.
Your well done work, will remain forever in my heart. Thank you and who helped contribution to ensure the program went through and successfully.
The second report is from Pastor Alfred who attended the funeralwith members of his Home Church.
Some of my church group believers, my wife and I, are back home after attending the burial of Pastor Maurice’s wife. After much of a struggle and a sleepless night, we were able to give pastor Maurice’s wife, Helen a successful farewell, a burial which was attended by nearly all our KHC, believers. Before the presence of Pastor Jacob, and all the KHC leadership team, Charles was able to give Kshs 20,000/, a good amount which helped us so much in paying hospital bill and part of the mortuary bill.
We are so thankful for you being supportive of us, and for standing behind pastor Maurice and the KHC movement leadership team. All went well and I believe Charles will be able to give you the full report of the funeral
The third report is from Pastor Charles, the leader of the KHC Movement.
Dear Ron and to all the community of believers, friends and followers of Living Eternal Now,
I would first want to give my thanks to you all, for all your prayer support and the long journey you have taken with the Kenya House Church Movement.
In the last few years, your prayers and financial support has caused the KHC movement to grow both spiritually and physically.
Prayers : Your prayers have enabled us get a breakthrough in our spiritual ministry, thus enabling us to step into new places and territories with the gospel invading and destroying the work of Satan and bringing lost souls to salvation and repentance, by the power of the Holy spirit.
You will remember, that recently our team was able to take the gospel to a new territory, it was at Kogaja near the border of Kenya and Uganda and a new Home Church Group was founded that are eager to grow the movement.
Through the power of your prayers, we have seen the mighty works of God and His hand upon us, in all the places and the new territory we have visited with the Gospel.
As part of our 2021 discipleship and evangelism plan we have two pending invitations waiting for us to fulfil both in the Republic of Tanzania, Nyamuzi and Mwanza.
Financial support:- As you all know, money is just a tool in the hands of the carpenter needed to help the work be done. For this reason we have been very grateful for the help LEN has provided for both ministry and in times of crisis. For example in March, 2020, my daughter was abducted and later rescued from the hands of her abductors in the republic of Tanzania. In October 2020 , Pastor Alfred lost his daughter to Covid 19 whilst his wife survived the disease. In November, 2020, My wife underwent caesarian surgery. In December 2020 Pastor Maurice’s house was burnt down, and nothing was rescued. And now in February 2021, Pastor Maurice’s’ wife Helen died from Covid 19.
Through all these crises/difficulties, and ministerial needs, Brother Ron has been actively giving financial help to all these our brothers and sisters within the KHC Movement despite him being old and a pensioner.
Still his heart is burning with passion, to help buy a computer and a large TV screen for zooming, this is to help KHC movement to get connected with other parachurch organizations and to help learn sound doctrine on end times teachings etc. We kindly appeal to all LEN followers and anyone willing and interested to help join hands with brother Ron, in giving support to the Kenya House Church Movement.
May you prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
Late last year Pastor Alfred’s wife and daughter came down with Covid 19 and sadly his daughter died. Just this week I received a report to say that Pastor Maurice lost his wife Helen to Covid. The small House Church movement in Kenya is in shock with death in the families of two house church leaders from Covid 19.
In the following email Pastor Charles has asked for support to help the Kenya House Church group provide support for Maurice, the funeral and hospital expenses. If you feel inclined to make a donation to help the group then please do so via the donation icon on the Home Page. I am committed to send $250.
As you may know, pastor Maurice’s wife, Helen was a believer in the Ndhiwa House Church Group, where husband Maurice is the group pastor.
Maurice has provided great support and taken responsibility in the KHC movement for the Ndhiwa group despite the challenges he has been undergoing. He has stood firm and strong in proclaiming our faith and doctrine. You may remember, his house burnt down almost three months ago now and nothing was rescued. Now he has lost his wife, Helen. Surely he needs our prayers and support.
The late Helen contracted Covid 19 at a funeral service she had attended at her aunt’s home.
Her body is in the mortuary nearby her aunt’s health facility waiting for burial which must take place within a maximum of four days, as is required by the public health department Covid19 protocols. It means that Helen’s body will be buried on Monday, February 1st.
I was able to call an urgent meeting today with the church group pastors. We resolved to give our beloved sister a final send off within the stated time frame and we agreed that every pastor is to attend and organize for a small contribution of Kshs 1000/. As well, we all agreed to give a personal contribution of Kshs 1500/. All to be done latest Saturday.
We expect a total collection of Kshs 20,000/, from all our 8 KHC groups, and pastors. This is is to help give support to our brother.
Unfortunately, this amount is not enough compared to the budget, and hospital bill. We have a total budget of Kshs 45,000/, this is to cater for :- Transportation – 9,000, Coffin. – 8,000, Tent hire – 3000, Mortuary bill – 5,000, (1000 x 5 days), -Medical bill -15,000, Food & other expenses – 5000.
Request: On behalf of pastor Maurice and the KHC movement leadership team, I do hereby kindly request you to help give our brother a financial assistance , so that together with our small contribution here, he may be able to give his wife a memorable final send off. We are still in need of Kshs 25,000/, approximately Au$300, depending on the exchange rate.
I received this report from Pastor Charles on Saturday 23rd January 2021.
I trust that the start of 2021 has been good for you and I pray that you and Living Eternal Now (LEN) ministry will be blessed during these difficult times.
The people we serve are more than ever looking to us for a message of hope as they try to find a way through the troubles they are currently experiencing. But, through it all God is still on the throne and it is He who reigns supreme!.
I am reminded of Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” Let us be found faithful in all three!
I am greatly encouraged by the reports I am receiving from some of our Kenya House Church (KHC) groups of how the just concluded time of fasting & prayer is helping our group members.
Here are two testimonies I recently received from two house church groups. (Anything in brackets is by me).
1) From Ndhiwa church group: Rose Anyango:
In the last five years, I separated from my husband as a result of issues (she would prefer not to tell). I have been living alone, doing small business in the day, and working in a bar & restaurant at night within Ndwiwa town. At one point, I heard Pastor Maurice teaching during an evangelism crusade and I decided to join his house church group together with my two daughters. All these years, I have been desiring and praying, that one time, God may speak to my husband, and allow me to go back to him, so that we may start living together, but it has not been possible for me. When announcement was made by our pastor (Maurice) that a three day prayer and fasting meeting will be held in our church group and other KHC groups, I became glad and spoke inside of me (likely Holy Spirit inspired), that this will be a good opportunity for me to take my case before God, fasting and praying. Only three days has elapsed since prayers and fasting was concluded. Yesterday (Wednesday) I received a phone call from my husband saying, he has forgiven me my past mistakes, and wanting me to take everything with me and go back home, so we may start living together again and building up our family life. I thank God, that He has enabled for me, and I believe that which is impossible with man, becomes possible with God. Now I will go and be reunited with my husband , so together, we start rebuilding up our family. Thank you God!
From Rongo Church group:Benson Onyango:
The doctrine is clear, God and His Scripture has touched and changed my life. I was an alcoholic and pornography addicted, these problem have continued with me for almost now ten years, attending church every Sunday and listening to pastor teaching and preaching, but no breakthrough, I continued to be in the bondage of sin. But last week, I took three days time, fasting and praying, presenting my problems before God. I now feel a breakthrough over my life, now free from the spirit of drunkenness and pornography. All that I counted useful, now have become useless, for the sake of Christ Jesus. My life is not now the same but all things have now become new in me. A new creature in Jesus Christ! It was after attending fasting and praying and that encourages us to apply it as soon as possible.
These are the kinds of responses/testimonies, that confirm that KHC is succeeding in its aim to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
I encourage any one who would like to share similar testimonies, please email me (email@example.com) or Ron Edwards (firstname.lastname@example.org), so that we can put them as a post on livingeternal.net, and to encourage all our community of believers and followers of LEN, on all that Jesus is doing in the life of His people in Kenya and around the world.
As you may already know God connected me to several pastors in Kenya who are followers of Living Eternal Now. They believe as I do that the church in the “last days” will be like the church described in the Book of Acts. The following is a report provided by Pastor Charles Otieno Owino on their activities for 2020. I and several of my followers have provided funds for several projects to support the growth of this community and I hope more of you will consider joining us in this missional work. I have added a donation icon on my Home Page for that purpose. Moreover, I hope some of you will begin to communicate directly with members of the KHC.
2020 Report on Kenya House Church Movement
Here at KHC, we endeavour to make disciples for Jesus Christ in fulfilment of the great commission that Jesus Christ gave us in Mathew 28:19. The disciples made, are put in house church groups (Ekklesia). No buildings neither nor paid pastors.
FINISHING WELL 2020, EXPECTING WHAT GOD HOLDS FOR US IN 2021: 2020 was a big year for us here at KHC, God has been gracious to us, and every place we have visited, we have been able to receive a positive outcome despite some few challenges that came our way, such as strong opposition from the religious leaders. But we were able to sail through and we give God the glory.
APPRECIATION TO THE FOUNDER OF LEN, RON EDWARDS & TEAM MEMBERS.
We hope the LEN team is also blessed by being part of the KHC movement, all through the year 2020 and since God has placed us together in the work of ministry. We(KHC) are very much thankful to the founder of LEN and his colleagues in the work of ministry, and we appreciate you all for standing behind us in prayers.
We are very much thankful to all those who have been faithful in giving their financial support to help expand the KHC movement to ensure it becomes strongly established here in Kenya.
KHC 2020 OVERVIEW PROGRESS:
We are honored to share with you an overview of our progress in 2020. It has been the most successful year since KHC was founded in 2010, upon the revelation of God’s word, and prayers.
1) House Church Groups: Numbers are important to and through our numeric increase we have been able to start eight house church groups in 4 different sub-counties within the Republic of Kenya.
NAMES OF 8 CHURCH GROUPS & REGIONS FOUND:
– Mubachi in Migori region (Charles’s home church group) – Buembu in Migori region. – Kokendi in Migori region. – Bondo in Migori region. – Ong’er in Nyatike region (Alfred’s home church group) – Ndhiwa in the Homa-Bay region. – Karungu in Nyatike region. – Opapo in Rongo region.
A newly founded group of believers at Kogaja in Busia region near the border of Kenya and Uganda is still undergoing our foundational teachings. Come 2021, an elder and a church group pastor will be appointed from among them, to head the church group, to enable it to be a fully functioning house church group.
In Tanzania, God is giving us a breakthrough; a wide door is opened to the KHC team so come February 2021, two new church groups will be started in Mwanza and Nyamuzi in the Republic of Tanzania. We expect exciting additions in 2021 and it is our hope and prayers that 2021, KHC team will be able to take the gospel to places we could not visit in 2020.
NUMBER OF CHURCH GROUPS MEMBERS:
In 2020, we have witnessed a rapid increase of Church group members than in the previous years. Many lives have been reached for Jesus Christ. An additional 3 church groups were founded.
The total number of our church group members in the 8 church groups has increased from 220 in 2018/2019 up to 300 in 2020.
2)DISCIPLE SHIP & EVANGELISM CAMPAIGNS:
-Evangelism and discipleship, is the heart of KHC movement, here at KHC. The evangelism team led by pastor Jacob, has been able to lead our team, visiting several places ministering, in market places, hospitals, prisons, schools. And visiting marginalized families and destitute children, sharing with them the love of God and leading them to Jesus Christ.
In the past 12 months, KHC team members have been able to visit 24 secondary schools, 30 homes, 10 prisons cells, 15 hospitals, 25 market places, and ministered to 120 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC).
3) TRAINING THE TRAINERS:
In 2020, KHC have been able to teach and give training to 4 members, from all our church groups, after every six months. And after undergoing our training manual, they are being sent out to various places as ambassadors for Jesus Christ, with the sole reason of making disciples, and starting a house church group. Currently, some of our two brothers were in Tanzania and just came back to us 5 days ago and reported about the need to start up the two church groups, mentioned above.
4) WEEKLY BIBLE STUDIES:
Here at KHC,we have a weekly Bible study, whereby church group members meet once a week to pray and search the scriptures.
5) EMPOWERING THE POOR:
In 2019 to date, KHC initiated an empowering program to help support the widows, orphans, and the needy members in the KHC movement. Every church group has the freedom to start its own income-generating projects, such as crop farming, vegetable growing, dairy keeping, shopkeeping, poultry keeping, second-hand clothing business etc, this is to help support our church group members to become financially stable.
2021 KHC PLANS:
1) Zoom meetings:
In 2021, KHC, has a plan to buy a large TV screen and a computer, to help KHC, join other parachurch organizations in holding zoom meetings. This will help KHC, to learn and share end time signs of Jesus second coming, and other teachings pertaining to the last day’s church.
2) Discipleship & Evangelism:
In 2021, KHC movement has a plan to expand its discipleship making programme and evangelism campaigns to other places, and territories, moving outside the 4 sub-counties.
3) Bible study programme.
In 2021, KHC has a plan to open a KHC library, where a number of books from the recommended parachurch organizations can be sourced. This will help our church group members, be able to learn and understand from different authors about the last day’s church, prophetic end times signs of Jesus second coming, living eternal now, kingdom business, etc.
Income generating projects:
KHC in 2021 is planning to open up a medical facility/laboratory where church group members, and other people from the neighborhood communities can come for a medical check-up, and treatment, the minimal and affordable fee, paid will be used for the financial stability and physical growth of the KHC movement.
2021 KHC GOALS:
KHC’s goals is to flood the nation Kenya with the gospel, and moving out and enter new territories with the gospel of Jesus Christ. For 2021, KHC’s prime goal is to reach out to 500 people with the gospel and start-up 5 more house church groups based on Biblical foundation.
This is a God-sized blessing from Ron Edwards, founder of LEN, and all the brethren who have helped to contribute by prayers and finances in 2020. Thank you all, you are a significant part of our success in growing the KHC movement in Kenya. Respectfully, Charles Otieno Owino.
I, Pastor Charles would like to personally, and on behalf of our Kenya house church movement (KHC), to give thanks to you, and to all the community of believers, followers, and friends of Living Eternal Now, all who felt in their hearts to help donate their finances to support our last joint KHC (8 house churches) meeting for 2020 this coming week. A BIG THANK YOU!
I pray and believe that the meeting will be a great blessing to the life of our people, and to the surrounding community, and will bring a positive outcome.
I will keep you updated!
I am keen to purchase a computer and large TV screen for Pastor Charles so we can hold Zoom Meetings and he can use the Power Point Sermons we have for the end times church. As well, he will be able to connect with and use the excellent resources of the many excellent para church groups out there particularly those that are about making disciples to complete the Great Commission.
