HOW GOD IS POSITIONING ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH FOR HIS END TIMES PURPOSES

“Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,” Ephesians 3:5-6

It is interesting to observe that from our Heavenly Father’s perspective, He has been equitable with individual focuses to both parts of the family:

  • 2000 years from the time of Abraham to Yeshua, the time of the Jews/Israel.
  • 2000 years from the time of Jesus to this modern day, the time of the Gentiles.

In a spirit of John 17 unity, God is awakening the church to connect with Israel as we realise the time is drawing near for the last 7 years of the 70 X 7 prophecy in Daniel 9. Gabriel delivered this amazing prophecy to Daniel:

“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.” Daniel 9:24

This post was prompted by reading an article by Grant Berry ‘New Wine Is Being Released’: How God Is Positioning Israel Right Now for His End-Times Plan.

There is no question that we are in a new day for the church in the world, that the new wine is being released. For those of us who are connected to the Father’s heart, we can sense it, we can feel it, and we know the final awakening is drawing near. IS IRAN (ANCIENT PERSIA) THE TWO HORNED RAM OF DANIEL 8?

Gabriel himself told Daniel that the vision concerned the end times. He did not say that part of the vision was historical and part of it was future. He simply said that the vision concerned the time of the end and then repeated it.

“Son of man (Daniel), understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.” (Daniel 8:17).

Behold, I (Gabriel) am going to let you (Daniel) know what will occur at the final period of the indignation, for it pertains to the appointed time of the end.” (Daniel 8:19).

Then in Daniel 8:20 “The ram which you (Daniel) saw, having the two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia.”

There is no doubt that the modern nation of Iran geographical encompasses the three ancient peoples mentioned in Daniel – Medes, Elam and Persians.

Mark Davidson in his book Iran’s Great Invasion suggests the two horns are represented by the two power bases existing in Iran today: the Ayatollah is the supreme leader, the political power but the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is the military power.

Daniel describes the second horn growing up later and stronger which describes the IRGC precisely e.g. former President Ahmadinejad awarded two-thirds of the cabinet positions to former IRGC commanders.

Daniel tells us that the ram will run out (invade): north, west and south and it even tells us the starting point Susa on the border of Iran and Iraq.

WEST – Syria: Already, we know that Iran has military in Syria -The Islamic Republic of Iran has conducted an extensive, expensive, and integrated effort to keep President Bashar al-Assad in power as long as possible while setting conditions to retain its ability to use Syrian territory and assets to pursue its regional interests should Assad fall. The deployment of IRGC Ground Forces to conflict abroad is a notable expansion of Iran’s willingness and ability to project military force beyond its borders.

WEST – Lebanon:  The Shiite militia known as Hezbollah was created by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to be an Iranian proxy, nominally “resisting” Israel, but in fact resisting the normal governance of Lebanon by its people. After more than 30 years, Hezbollah is still in Lebanon, sacrificing lives, resisting democracy, dictating foreign policy and corrupting the true Lebanese Armed Forces. Since the 2006 war with Israel, Hezbollah has rearmed dramatically, with an estimated 150,000 missiles, including short-range Katyusha-type rockets and thousands of medium-range missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv. In November of last year, the Saudi-supported prime minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri, in a broadcast from Riyadh announced his resignation, blaming Iran’s “grip” on his country via Shiite movement Hezbollah.

WEST – Iraq:  Iran has effectively won the struggle to dominate the future of Iraq. It has done so against the formidable Shi’ite Arab populace, and after nearly a month of raw pressure, manipulations, special operations, threats and cajoling. The Iraqi election of May 12, 2018 — the catalyst for the Iranian intervention — was but the harbinger of a greater threat looming. Thus — even as the final election results are still being challenged, calculated, manipulated, and abused — the key outcome is clear: The future government in Baghdad will be dominated by pro-Iran Shi’ites.

WEST – Israel: 

Hamas’ new leader, Yehiyeh Sinwar,  in the Gaza Strip said Monday his group has repaired relations with Iran after a five-year rift and is using its newfound financial and military aid to gear up for new hostilities with Israel.

“Today, the relationship with Iran is excellent, or very excellent,” Sinwar said. He added that the Islamic Republic is “the largest backer financially and militarily” to Hamas’ military wing.

The announcement  came as U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was visiting Israel. At a meeting with the U.N. chief, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu complained about what he called rising anti-Israel activity by Iran and its allies in the region.

In his meeting with Guterres, Netanyahu alleged Iran is building sites in Syria and Lebanon to produce “precision-guided missiles” to be used against Israel.

Israel and Iran are bitter enemies, and Israel has recently expressed concern that Iran and its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah are seeking a permanent military presence in Syria near the Israeli border. Both Hezbollah fighters and Iran have backed Assad’s forces in the Syrian war.

“Iran is busy turning Syria into a base of military entrenchment, and it wants to use Syria and Lebanon as war-fronts against its declared goal to eradicate Israel,” Netanyahu said. “This is something Israel cannot accept. This is something the U.N. should not accept.”

SOUTH – Saudi Arabia: The “Cold War” between Middle East rivals Saudi Arabia and Iran has been heating up.

The Sunni-Shiite divide between Saudi Arabia and Tehran is a crucial factor in conflicts between the two countries.

Religious tensions have heightened since the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq that brought the majority Shiites to power in Baghdad instead of Saddam’s Sunni-dominated regime.

Sunni powerhouse Saudi Arabia and Iran, the predominant Shiite power, have a long-standing rivalry based as much in geo-strategic interests as religious differences. Facing off across the Gulf, the two energy-rich powers have for decades stood on opposing sides of conflicts in the Middle East.

The Iranian revolution of 1979 and the advent of the Islamic Republic — with its fiercely anti-American slant — were perceived as a double threat to the conservative Sunni monarchies of the Arabian Peninsula, allied with the United States.

Saudi Arabia was a key financial backer of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during his 1980-1988 war with Iran. With Iraq weakened following the 1991 Gulf War, Saudi Arabia and Iran became “the two main regional powers,” said Clement Therme, a researcher at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

The latest round of tensions began when Riyadh and Tehran broke off diplomatic relations in January 2016, after Iranians stormed Saudi Arabia’s embassy and consulate in response to the execution of a prominent Shiite cleric.

On the first weekend of November, the animosity reached new heights, Saudi Arabia said its air defences near Riyadh intercepted and destroyed a missile fired from Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is battling Iran-backed Shiite rebels.

The Bible is primarily a book of prophecy with a major emphasis on Jesus first and especially His second coming. It tells us the events that will happen next.

SIGNS TO WATCH FOR, PRIOR TO JESUS RETURN

Jesus does not teach a sign-less, imminent rapture. There are key discernible events/signs that must happen before Jesus returns for his church.

Jesus gave us due warning with signs/events that will occur prior to His return: 

  1. Israel will be reestablished – Jesus told the parable of the fig tree (Israel) when you see it sprouting (reborn). “So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Luke 21;31
  2. “False messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. “Remember, I have told you ahead of time.“ Mark 13:21-22
  3.  “And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6
  4. “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:7
  5. There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth nations will be in distress, anxious over the roaring of the sea and the surging waves. People will be fainting from fear and from the expectation of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. “But when these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
  6. “Now regarding the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to be with him… Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not arrive until the rebellion comes and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and as a result he takes his seat in God’s temple, displaying himself as God. Surely you recall that I used to tell you these things while I was still with you.” 2 Thessalonians 2:1–5
  7. “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand, that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulphur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb… This requires the steadfast endurance of the saints—those who obey God’s commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.” Revelation 14:9–12
  8. So when you see the abomination of desolation–spoken about by Daniel the prophet—standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.

Sadly, much of the church has been deceived into believing a Pretribulation Rapture. The Bible clearly teaches in these Scriptures that the Saints will experience tribulation even great tribulation. However, the Bible also teaches the Saints will be raptured at the sixth seal before God pours out His wrath upon the earth in the trumpet and bowl judgements.

Upsurge in big earthquakes predicted for 2018 as Earth rotation slows

Scientists say number of severe quakes is likely to rise strongly next year because of a periodic slowing of the Earth’s rotation

The link between Earth’s rotation and seismic activity was highlighted last month in a paper by Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado in Boulder and Rebecca Bendick of the University of Montana in Missoula presented at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America.

“The correlation between Earth’s rotation and earthquake activity is strong and suggests there is going to be an increase in numbers of intense earthquakes next year,” Bilham told the Observer last week.

In their study, Bilham and Bendick looked at earthquakes of magnitude 7 and greater that had occurred since 1900. “Major earthquakes have been well recorded for more than a century and that gives us a good record to study,” said Bilham.

They found five periods when there had been significantly higher numbers of large earthquakes compared with other times. “In these periods, there were between 25 to 30 intense earthquakes a year,” said Bilham. “The rest of the time the average figure was around 15 major earthquakes a year.”

Bilham and Bendick found that there had been periods of around five years when Earth’s rotation slowed by such an amount several times over the past century and a half. Crucially, these periods were followed by periods when the numbers of intense earthquakes increased.

“It is straightforward,” said Bilham. “The Earth is offering us a five-year heads-up on future earthquakes.”

This link is particularly important because Earth’s rotation began one of its periodic slowdowns more than four years ago. “The inference is clear,” said Bilham. “Next year we should see a significant increase in numbers of severe earthquakes. We have had it easy this year. So far we have only had about six severe earthquakes. We could easily have 20 a year starting in 2018.”

In addition, it is difficult to predict where these extra earthquakes will occur – although Bilham said they found that most of the intense earthquakes that responded to changes in day length seemed to occur near the equator. About one billion people live in the Earth’s tropical regions.

IN THE LAST DAYS – RUMOURS OF WARS

The Swedes have issued a civil defence pamphlet to each of its 4.8 million households, titled ‘Om krisen eller kriget kommer’ (‘If crisis or war comes’).

In recent years Sweden has decided to double its defence budget, rising from 53 billion kronor (AU$9.8 billion) to around 115 billion kronor (AU$17.5 billion) by 2035.

In January, it reintroduced conscription and in September last year, amidst its largest military exercise in 23 years, Sweden restored the garrison on the Baltic island of Gotland.

Ms Nyh Radebo, a defence ministry spokeswoman, said the return to conscription was prompted by ‘the security change in our neighbourhood’.

‘The Russian illegal annexation of Crimea, the conflict in Ukraine and the increased military activity in our neighbourhood are some of the reasons.’

Towns have been instructed to dust off their civil defence documents and inspect and upgrade the old cold war bunkers.

Denmark and Sweden have agreed to boost defence ties to fight Russian cyber-attacks, and negotiations have been conducted to purchase the Patriot missile system from the United States.

‘…What was unthinkable five years ago is no longer unthinkable’ said Martin Kragh, from the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.

The civil defence pamphlet is unequivocal in its instruction to the Swedes.

‘If we are attacked’, it says, ‘we will never give up. All information to the effect that resistance is to cease is false.

The issuing of such a pamphlet is a measure the Swedes haven’t felt necessary since the darkest days of the Cold War. Throughout the 20th and 21st Century, they’ve stuck firmly by their policy of ‘armed neutrality’, avoiding involvement in any serious military conflict since 1814. Internationally, their defence posture has been benign. They possess no nuclear weapons and they have disavowed chemical and biological warfare.

The most dangerous mission Swedish troops have been involved in has been keeping the peace. And yet, this latest rumour of war, made ever ominous by the conduct of their neighbour, Russia, has forced a rethink about the unimaginable by senior government and defence planners.

 

SOCIALISM: A PERILOUS PATH TO ECONOMIC AND SPIRITUAL FREE-FALL

The following abbreviated insightful article is by Michael Snyder. He is a Republican candidate for Congress in Idaho’s First Congressional District.

“Americans are increasingly embracing socialism, and this is particularly true for young adults under the age of 30.

Of course, our society has already been very heavily socialised. We have been trained to believe that if a problem exists, then it is the job of government to fix it, and over time government on all levels of our system has just gotten bigger and bigger (and government debt in the trillions with it).

But what most Americans don’t realize is that the United States never would have become an economic powerhouse without free-market capitalism, and the further we drift away from our roots, the deeper our economic problems will become. We need leaders who are willing to stand up and proudly declare that free market capitalism works incredibly well when the shackles are taken off, and that is precisely what I intend to do.

Not too long ago, a survey of U.S. adults was conducted by the American Culture and Faith Institute, and the most disturbing thing that was discovered was that 40 percent of all Americans now “prefer socialism to capitalism.”

Support for socialism is particularly high among our young people. A Gallup poll conducted in 2016 found that an astounding 55 percent of Americans under the age of 30 “have a positive view of socialism.” Also, a Harvard University study that was reported on by The Washington Post discovered that 51 percent of U.S. adults under the age of 30 “do not support capitalism.”

These numbers help to explain why politicians such as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have such high levels of support among Millennials. These young people were raised in schools that taught them that we have a “free-market system” in America today, even though that is not really true at all. And as economic conditions deteriorate, millions of these young people are becoming disillusioned.

The following comes from an extraordinary piece that was published by Business Insider: Wages are stagnant or falling. The costs of health care, child care and tuition continue to rise exponentially. Full-time jobs turn into contract positions while benefits are slashed. Middle-class jobs are replaced with low-paying service work. The expectations of American life your parents had when you were born—that a “long boom” will bring about unparalleled prosperity—crumble away.

Baby Boomers tell you there is a way out: A college education has always been the key to a good job. But that doesn’t seem to happen anymore. The college graduates you know are drowning in student debt, working for minimum wage or toiling in unpaid internships. Prestigious jobs are increasingly clustered in cities where rent has tripled or quadrupled in a decade’s time. You cannot afford to move, and you cannot afford to stay. Outside these cities, newly abandoned malls join long abandoned factories. You inhabit a landscape of ruin. There is nothing left for you.

Years upon years of “training” in our failing system of public education has convinced large numbers of our young people that the solution to our economic ills is to move more toward socialism.

Yet history proves that socialism simply does not work.

If we continue our steady march down the road toward socialism, we will ultimately end up like all of the other failed socialist experiments throughout history.

Let us look at the socialist alternative favoured by Sanders and Warren. The miseries, deprivations and backwardness it has inflicted on populations wherever and whenever it has been tried are boundless. They amount to the biggest empirical data set of political and economic failure in the history of humankind. In Venezuela, to take only the latest unfortunate experiment, it has meant the world’s largest oil reserves being wasted and stolen while children starve on the streets. The historical legacy of Soviet socialism, National Socialism and Maoist Communism, to cite the most egregious versions of this poisonous left-wing political ideology, is so well known that it does not need to be rehearsed here.

Even those countries that experienced the more gentle “democratic socialism,” such as modern South Africa and Brazil, socialism has allowed corrupt politicians to pilfer state industries while the poor live and die young in slums. Even in the socialized utopias of Europe, it has meant destructive youth unemployment rates, a dearth of innovation and death panels in hospitals.

Our nation is in deep, deep trouble, and it is getting worse with each passing day.

Now is the time to stand up and fight for the future of our nation, because if we don’t we may wake up one day and discover that the country we all loved so much is gone for good.”

I believe God has given America one last chance with Trump. However, unless there is revival in the church which impacts the youth and transforms communities, further judgement as outlined by Jonathan Cahn in The Harbinger will increase in intensity as “birth pangs”.

 

A WORLD THAT SHUNS TRUTH AND CLARITY

When it comes to morality, sexuality, and identity, feelings and preferences are increasingly replacing facts and truth. Author Abdu Murray sounds the alarm at the confusion being embraced and even celebrated around us.

How can Christians offer truth and clarity to a world that shuns both? Murray challenges Christians to consider how they have played a part in fostering the Culture of Confusion. And he equips us to respond to those enmeshed in a post—truth mindset with integrity, respect, and a gospel clarity that offers hope and truth in our post—truth culture.

Oxford’s announcement of post-truth as its 2016 Word of the Year received mixed reactions, but some instinctively claimed post-truth as a positive development, the means to forge one’s own destiny free of the shackles of tradition, facts and even logic.

Abdu Murray says, “POST TRUTH has two modes. First is the soft mode. In this soft mode of post truth, the truth exists objectively but our subjective feelings and opinions matter more.

The Second mode is the hard mode – a willingness to propagate blatant falsehoods knowing they’re false because doing so will serve a higher social or political agenda.

Both are troubling and both appear to be growing more pervasive but perhaps the soft mode is the more dangerous. Abdu explains, Post Modernism which emerged in the 70’s was a rejection of the notion of objective truth – “What’s true for you may not necessarily be true for me. ” was a typical saying. Or they might say, “There is no such thing as objective truth.” Both statements are self-defeating and unlivable. Yet despite its incoherence, Post Modernism was quite resilient and remained influential in the West for decades. Its lustre has finally faded but where postmodernism failed because it was inherently incoherent, the post-truth mindset may succeed because it is not. It faces the problem of truth head-on.

The Post-Truth mindset acknowledges objective truth but subordinates it to preferences. In a Post-Truth age, if the evidence fits our preferences and opinions, then all is well and good. If it doesn’t, then the evidence is deemed inadmissible, offensive, even dangerous, these being a solvent against sound arguments.’

We are seeing this in laws now against any attempt to convert homosexuals back to heterosexual behaviour. It is a jail able offence.

And I believe that as soon as you forget about everything and fall in love with Christ deeply, everything is going to change. END TIMES TEACHING FOR GOD’S CHILDREN

Author and artist Janet L. Willis has recently had her children’s book published on the coming New Jerusalem, God’s Got a House and It’s Coming to Earth. It is full of beautiful artwork and more importantly an accurate portrayal of biblical truth of the coming kingdom. It is also consistent with the prewrath view on the day of the Lord as you can see in the video below. It is wonderful how God raises up His people to provide the resources needed for this time in history. Get your children excited about God and what He has in store for them. Eternity with Him on a new earth.

God has revealed much about the future! He gives great comfort when you pay attention to the details He has graciously provided. Jesus said when He comes back, He will bring His Father’s house with Him (John 14:1-3). We are told that after the final White Throne judgement, John saw God’s heavenly city, New Jerusalem land on a new earth. It will be the future home of all those who put their faith and trust in God’s Messiah (Romans 10:13). And it will be the capital city of King Jesus on the new earth. Let the rhyme and rhythm carry you through this visual overview of the plan of God. Bible references give background, and stir the mind to think deeper. IRAN THREATENS TO ANNIHILATE ISRAEL

The threats from the Commander of Iran’s Army Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi come amid almost daily warnings of conflict from Tehran and Jerusalem, heightened by an alleged Israeli strike on an Iranian base in Syria earlier in the month.A day

“When the arrogant powers create a sanctuary for the Zionist regime to continue survival, we shouldn’t allow one day to be added to the ominous and illegitimate life of this regime,” Mousavi told a ceremony in Tehran on Saturday, April 21st, according to the Fars news agency. “The Army will move hand in hand with the Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps so that the arrogant system will collapse and the Zionist regime will be annihilated,” General Moussavi said.

He predicted this would take place within 25 years, a number frequently used by the Iranian leadership.

Speaking hours later Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah warned that the Lebanese terror group’s rockets could hit all of Israel.

“Israel: Don’t trust in your airbases; they’re within reach,” Hossein Salami wrote on Twitter, also making similar comments in a fiery speech.

On Friday, the vice commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned Israel  that its airbases are “within reach,” in remarks apparently reacting to Israel’s publication on Tuesday of a map showing five Tehran-controlled bases in Syria.

Israel, said Salami, was living “in the dragon’s mouth.” Both northern and western Israel were “in the range of our missiles,” he threatened, in a speech given in Tehran.

“Wherever you are in the occupied land, you’ll be under fire from us, from east and west. You became arrogant. If there’s a war, the result will be your complete elimination,” he said.

“Your soldiers and civilians will flee, and you won’t survive. And you’ll have nowhere to run, except to fall into the sea.”

EZEKIEL 38 & 39 – Gog of Magog and  DANIEL 11: 40-45. Both Ezekiel and Daniel  give us a description of the last days invasion (Armageddon) of Israel led by the Antichrist (Gog) of Turkey (Magog). The five named nations (Muslim) involved in the Gog invasion are Persia (Iran), Cush (Ethiopia/Northern Sudan) and Put (Libya and other parts of Northern Africa). Gomer and Togarmah (modern-day Turkey) but they state “many” other nations will join them.
