BOOK OF ACTS CHURCH IN OUR DAY

During a sermon delivered at Moody Bible Institute’s Founders Week Conference, Chan, former teaching pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California, revealed what God is now calling him and his family to do. A trip to minister in a village in Myanmar where there were no believers , no not one, and seeing God turn up to heal not one person but everyone Francis laid his hands on, has changed Francis and his families lives. This is a story you need to hear, so I have attached his sermon, hopefully it will change your life too.

“At one point, we were in this village that had no believers, like zero. Not a single one,” he recalled. “And this lady had built a relationship with the head monk and the village leader and somehow was able to work out that we could go into the village.”

“My translator told me he had been in that area before and was chased out with knives and stones thrown at him, so he was terrified,” Chan continued. “But the entire village showed up, and I had the honour of sharing the Gospel through a translator, to be the first one to lay out the Gospel and explain that they had a Creator and explain that He had a son and explain what He did on the cross and the resurrection.”

“There’s no way I can communicate to you how much peace I felt,” Chan stressed. “I am sharing the Good News with a village of people who have never heard of this before. I can’t tell you how right it felt.”

Later in his message, Chan revealed that while in the village he asked God to help him heal those suffering.

“I’m going, ‘God, please, please hear,’” he recalled. “People started coming forward for healing.”

“Every person I touched was healed,” Chan declared as the audience applauded.

“You guys, OK, this is craziness to me,” he added. “I have never experienced this in 52 years. I’m talking like a little boy and a little girl who were deaf. We laid hands, she starts crying and smiling. These are not Christians who have even heard about Jesus, and she’s freaking out. We lay hands on her little brother, we lay hands on him, and he starts hearing for the first time.”

Chan admitted that the entire process was out of his “comfort zone,” adding, “This is stuff I’d read about, but I’m going, ‘Man, it happened. It happened.’ Stuff left and right.”

“I thought I had faith, but my faith was at another level, and I think there are some things that contributed — some of it was just faith in His word, that when Jesus says, ‘I am in you and you are in Me,’ to take that literally,” he declared.

Francis admitted that when he walked in the village, he had a “little bit of fear,” adding, “I said, ‘No, no, this is no different than if You walked in the village, and I know what you’d do, Jesus. You’d proclaim the Good News and you’d heal.'”

“I started having this mindset again of going, ‘No, no, this is what the Word of God says. You said I would do the same things that You did, and even greater things. Jesus, I know what You would have done in this village.’ I believe there was something about that faith, I believe there was something about the unity that we had as a group there,” he explained.

Chan said that although he disagreed theologically with some of the individuals on his team, he believes God was “honored by this fight for unity, and I believe God was honoured by this pursuit of the unreached, and obeying the Great Commission and we saw power.”

“And I don’t know that that means it will happen every time,” he clarified. “My theology says I don’t think it will happen everywhere … but best I understand Scripture, He wants me to believe in my unity with Him, this power that I have because He and I are one. He wants to believe that you and I can become perfectly one.”

Chan revealed that in three weeks, his family plans to move to Hong Kong and go to “some places that are pretty sketchy, dangerous.” The reality of persecution, he said, has caused him to “evaluate” his beliefs.

“Do I still believe that my life has no value outside of accomplishing what God wants me to do?” he asked.

The pastor said that while he loves to preach the Word of God to believers, it’s “nothing like” preaching to people who have never heard the name of Jesus.

“So I’m excited. In a couple of weeks, we’ll be moving, Lord willing,” he said.

During the service, Chan also compared Americans to “spiritual foodies,” adding: “All of you are. … We’re just picking it apart. And I just go, ‘I don’t know if I can do that anymore when there are people who have no spiritual food, who have never heard the name of Jesus.’”

“I say this because there’s a crowd of young people here, and you’re thinking about what to do with your life,” Chan continued. “Just think through the calling of Scripture, because I want that peace that I felt there. I want that for your life, and I know what you’re going to face your entire life here. You’re going to hear a lot of lies and a lot of those are going to come from within the church.”

“If I had listened to those voices, I would’ve missed out on so much of life because so many people, even in the church today, they’ll reason with you from their logic rather than from the Scriptures,” he warned.

Chan said it is “crazy” to him that it’s “perfectly normal” to be a Christian in America and be “obsessed with staying alive,” citing John 12:25: “Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”

“Is that what you really see in the Scriptures?” Chan asked. “The only thing I’m trying to do with my every breath is complete the ministry He gave me. If I’m going to breathe another day, it’s to finish the task that He’s given me, which is to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God. I just want to get out and explain the grace, what God has given me, through Jesus Christ.”

THE COMING END TIMES AWAKENING

I am sure Ron Cantor is correct in his latest book that in the “end times” the church will operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit much as they did in the early church as described in the Book of Acts.

In the Book of Acts we see:
• The dead raised (Acts 20)
• The lame walk (Acts 3)
• Powerful, convicting preaching of the Gospel (Acts 2)
• Speaking in tongues (Acts 2, 10, 19)
• Holy Spirit Outpouring (Acts 2, 4, 10)
• Judgements against sin (Acts 5, 8, 12)
• Casting out demons (Acts 16)
• Miraculous escapes from jail (Acts 12, 16)
• Martyrdom (Acts 7, 12)
• Congregations planted southern Europe, Asia, Middle East (Acts 13-19)
• A sizeable remnant of Jewish believers who lived as Jews (Acts 21:20)
• Philip was transported from one place to the other (Acts 8)

Because of reports like those in my recent post, Church in the Last Days – Iran’s Fast Growing Church posted October 26th, 2019, we are already seeing a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit promised by Jesus in the last days before His return.

Even in the midst of great darkness and tribulation this revival will overshadow the book of Acts. It has started in many places like China, Africa, Middle East , even India. While we are waiting for a move of God in many parts of the world, a great outpouring is already taking place in these countries where they are already experiencing intense persecution.

Sadly, Scripture tells us that in the last days we will also see a great falling away from the faith. In the west, we are already seeing entire church denominations compromising with the world, accepting gay marriage and homosexual pastors/leaders. In a recent post, I reported on Pope Francis declaring that Christians are not to try and convert Muslims or people of other faiths as “we are all children of the same God”.

Pope Francis and Sheik Ahmad el-Tayeb, grand imam of al-Azhar, a leading authority for many Sunni Muslims signed a document on “human fraternity” and improving Christian-Muslim relations in February, 2019. The document insists on the basic human right to freedom of religion, appealing to both Christians and Muslims not only to tolerate the religious faith of the other, but to recognise the other’s faith as something “willed by God in his wisdom.”

This Pope is consigning millions to the Lake of Fire. There is NO way back into a right relationship with God other than by repentance, acknowledging the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the Cross and accepting His Lordship over us and all creation.

A BIBLE IS LEAKING OIL BY THE GALLONS/LITRES! IS IT PROOF OF END TIMES MIRACLES?

Fall 2016 | The Lord Speaks

In the fall of 2016 the Lord began to give us markers. First we believed He told us He would give us more instruction after the presidential election. When the election was over, He instructed us to live, eat, and breathe Romans 12:1-2, which says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

November 2016 – January 2017

From November 2016 to January 2017 our time together became more focused. The Lord again spoke to us in January and said He would show us after the inauguration what He had been preparing.

January 23, 2017 | Holy Spirit Moves

The inauguration was on January 20th. We gathered together on Monday evening the 23rd. Normally our times together would end between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. That night was different. Intercession and worship were very intense. Jerry was on his knees praying. Johnny and Leslie laid hands on him and began to pray. Jerry fell over on the floor and stayed there for about 45 minutes. Johnny and Leslie went over to the couch and did the same with Joyce, Jerry’s wife. After praying, Joyce said the Lord had done something so deeply in her that she would never be the same. We continued worshipping until around midnight. Jerry and Joyce were so affected by what happened on Monday night that they stayed home the rest of the week reading their bibles, praying, and worshipping God.

January 27, 2017

Friday morning, January 27th, Jerry’s granddaughter and great granddaughter came to visit. When they left Jerry picked up his bible to read. He had been reading in Psalms all week. His bible fell open to Psalm 39 and and he noticed a wet spot on the page that had soaked through to Psalm 63. He asked Joyce if the great granddaughter had spilled something on his bible. Joyce told him the baby had not had anything to drink. Later that afternoon Jerry and Joyce took the bible over to Johnny and Leslie’s home. They all agreed it was oil.

February 2017 | The Oil Begins To Flow

Over the next couple of weeks the oil moved through the bible from Psalm 39 through the book of Revelation and even into the back of the bible on the maps and the concordance. The oil stopped then appeared at the front of the bible in Genesis 1. It continued to move through the Old Testament to where it started in Psalm 39. It then began to saturate the whole bible. Jerry placed the bible in a gallon size Ziploc bag. When the oil began to fill the bag, we then placed the bag in a plastic container. Once in the container, the oil began to flow even more, filling that container.

April 2017 – Present

The bible is now in its fourth container. As the container fills up, Jerry takes the oil and puts it in containers until we get together and fill vials. We believe the Lord has instructed us to not advertise, to not market the oil, to not “knock” on doors, and to not try to convince people what it is.

His word to us was to give the oil away so He can replenish it. (story of Elijah and the widow with the jar of oil, 1 Kings 17:14) He instructed us to share the story, share His word, give the oil away, and the miracles will happen “outside the building.” And they have. His word was, “The church is leaving the building!” The oil has gone all over the world. We have given away over 150,000 vials. We receive testimonies everyday of the miracles God is performing in the marketplace, in the hospitals, in the workplace, in the streets, in almost every country of the world.

GOD AT WORK IN NORTH KOREA

Kim Jong-un met with Moon Jae-in for a Peace Summit on April 27 and announced that the 67-year-old Korean conflict is over. “I came here to put an end to the history of confrontation,” Kim Jung-un told Moon in a meeting on the border town of Panmunjom.

What was behind the Korean surprise? Most media outlets were unaware that Christians in South Korea had been fasting and praying for the peace summit. Pastors held an all-night vigil in the city of Paju, south of the North Korean border. And a group of Christian politicians held a fasting and prayer event in the National Assembly buildings in Seoul, according to Yonhap News.

“He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”  Psalm 42:9-10

God has worked this miracle. It is not the work of any politician. He has heard the prayers of his people on both sides of this conflict—and the prayers of the faithful around the world who felt North Korea’s pain. Continue to pray God will engineer a lasting peace in this part of the world, and open the doors wide for the gospel to flourish in a thirsty land.

“There will be no more war on the Korean peninsula, and a new age of peace has begun,” the two leaders said in a joint statement. Kim Jong-un, who has built the fourth largest army in the world—with 1.19 million soldiers—says he will now focus on rebuilding his country’s shattered economy.

North Korea’s persecuted Christians have also been praying for this moment—for years. They have been horribly persecuted. They have been forced to meet secretly. They have been routinely rounded up and sent to labour camps—or just shot on sight—because they did not worship Kim Jong-un as their god. For such a turn around by Kim Jong-un, required a miracle. Our God is a miracle working God, this story should be inspiration to us all to get on our knees and pray.

THIS FALSE BELIEF IS THE ROOT OF THE CHURCH’S PROBLEMS

Francis Chan believes the modern church has an outreach problem. We pray and intercede with fervour for miracles and the supernatural—and yet few of us take that same passion into outreach ministry. Worse yet, he says, we rely on our own power to save people, believing we can do anything to persuade someone more or less to Christ. He diagnoses the problem—and offers a persuasive answer—in this sermon. Pastor’s you need to see this message. It will be 20 minutes invested in eternal life.

SPIRITUAL CHARIOTS FOR LAST-DAYS TRANSPORTATION

Amazing prophecy from Bill Yount. Bill has been a member of Bridge of Life in Hagerstown, Maryland, for the past 36 years, where he is now an elder and a home missionary. He is currently an adviser at large for Aglow International. Bill faithfully served in prison ministry at Mount Hope for 23 years and now travels full-time, both in the U.S. and internationally, ministering in churches and Aglow circles.

Bill is saying, that just as Phillip was transported to minister to the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:39-40. the Lord in these ‘last days’ will transport many by spiritual “Chariots of Fire” into enemy territory where people are being held captive by the enemy and natural disasters.

“When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away. And the eunuch saw him no more, and he went his way rejoicing.  But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached the gospel in all the cities until he came to Caesarea” Acts 8:39-40.

With the increase of international disasters beginning to take place around the world, there will be urgent missions where individuals will need to get to countries swiftly. These missions will not be dependent upon the future unstable conditions of the airline transportation systems. God is always one step ahead when it comes to spreading the gospel and going into all the world.

In the Spirit, I heard an order of “chariot wheels” being called into the throne room for the last-day method of transportation for emergency mission work around the world. Time will be a critical factor in getting God’s people from one place to the next to minister in times of disaster. God will use angels to intervene in many cases, but to actually lift up the full standard against the flood of the enemy along with national catastrophes, He will be sending His people “first class,” speedily.

I have heard testimonies where some believers have been praying for a nation, and all of a sudden, in the Spirit, they were caught away and found themselves in that nation ministering to people. Some through dreams or visions, and some as though their own body was there! I truly believe we are living in an hour that we need to take the limits off of God and say, “Here am I, Lord; send me anywhere, any way You want to!”

Spiritual ‘Chariots of Fire’

It’s interesting that the army tanks in Israel are called “chariots of fire.” While in Israel, I saw a demonstration of these tanks on the move. These tanks are able to shoot forth fire out of the end of their cannons into their enemies. Also, they can shoot forth smoke to hide themselves from the enemy, when needed. These tanks are believed to be the most powerful artillery in the world.

The Lord will transport many by spiritual “chariots of fire” into enemy territory where people are being held captive by the enemy and natural disasters. These chariots will be equipped with the fire of God and the smoke of His glory cloud. They will be used to rescue many from death as their ministers, as flames of fire and preach to thousands with the fire of God on their lips as they are hidden from the enemy and disaster by the smoke of His glory!

‘Angelic Air and Ground Traffic Controllers’

As the earth seems to be going more and more out of control and increases its groaning through earthquakes and bizarre weather patterns, angels will be given charge over God’s people in their going out and coming in, as they are being escorted on secret missions. When everything appears to be out of control, God will still be sitting upon the circle of the earth in total control of spreading the gospel. Angels will help control air and ground traffic transportation for the missions of God’s people.

As many travel and minister in these spiritual “chariots of fire,” the borders of their mantles will, at times, touch down upon whole nations and regions to redeem and bring forth life out of chaos!

“Swing low, sweet chariot…” Are you ready for an upgrade in your travelling?
