JUST HOW ANTI BIBLE IS THE SCIENCE NEWS MEDIA?

Many science news media outlets seem to think that ‘fake news’ is OK when it denigrates the Bible.

Researchers recently extracted DNA from skeletons, dated at around 3,750 years old and unearthed in Sidon, an ancient city inhabited by Canaanites at the time. When the DNA was compared to modern Lebanese people, they found that modern Lebanese derive about 93% of their ancestry from these Canaanites. There appears to be little reason to doubt the findings. And it’s interesting to see how genetics can provide clues to history when we lack written records. But science reporters seemed to have been utterly enthralled with the idea that these findings ‘contradicted’ the Bible. Here are some examples:

  • “Bible says Canaanites were wiped out by Israelites but scientists just found their descendants living in Lebanon” (The Independent)

  • “New DNA study casts doubt on Bible claim” (Mother Nature Network)
  • “The Bible was WRONG: Civilisation God ordered to be KILLED still live and kicking” (Express)
  • “Genetic evidence suggests the Canaanites weren’t destroyed after all” (Ars Technica)
  • “Canaanites Weren’t Annihilated by Ancient Israelites After All” (Newser)
  • “Study disproves the Bible’s claim that the ancient Canaanites were wiped out” (Click Lancashire)
  • “DNA vs the Bible: Israelites did not wipe out the Canaanites” (Cosmos)
  • “The Bible got it wrong: Ancient Canaanites survived and their DNA lives in modern-day Lebanese” (Pulse Headlines)1,2

Problem: the Bible says exactly the opposite of what these news outlets claim!

It will help to quote Scripture at some length, just to show how ludicrous these headlines really are. Clearly these ‘reports’ didn’t check the source they say this DNA evidence ‘contradicted’. 

“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.” Numbers 33:55

God didn’t command the total ‘extermination, ‘slaughter’, ‘annihilation’, or ‘destruction’ of the Canaanites! He wanted the Israelites to drive them out.

How well did Israel do at driving the Canaanites out? 

“And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced labourers.” Joshua 16:10

All the way through Scripture even in the N.T., Matthew 15:22 and Mark 7:26, the Canaanites are present in the land originally allotted to Israel.

The extent of this media bias reveals they serve the Prince of this world, Satan, and how intense spiritual warfare has become. Further evidence I believe reveals we are in the days before Jesus return, prophesied in the Bible the media so despise.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

LIVE AS JESUS INTENDED YOU TO LIVE

Lion Tribe Judah | Crosses Everywhere

Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah has triumphed.  You and I need to walk in that Truth and tell it to the world.
Satan goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he will devour with fear and despair.  Empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit we can be bold to state the Truth that that enemy of Christ Jesus was defeated by Him.  
Sincere believers who repent and come into His Kingdom then are given His Authority to bring light into the darkness, to bring hope to a world stunned and even frozen by this pandemic.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE -INTENSIFIES IN THE LAST DAYS

The same demonic powers and principalities that operated through Queen Jezebel in the Old Testament and this woman called Jezebel in the New Testament, they’re operating again today with increased intensity. Some of the ways those demonic spirits are operating today is through: abortion, euthanasia, immorality, homosexuality, transgenderism, radical feminism, witchcraft, sorcery and persecution of Christians.

Jezebel of the Old Testament was an idol-worshipper. We see in 1 Kings 21:25 that Ahab did more evil than any of Israel’s kings before him, but he was “stirred up” by his wife, Jezebel. She emasculates men, she silenced the prophets, she was a murderer—she had the prophets killed. We also know that in the ancient world that idolatry was often associated with sacrificing babies to idols.

Radical feminism has helped further the abortion agenda. And this isn’t just a push for the right for women to get abortions if they’ve been raped or the baby is severely ill. Women are now “shouting their abortions” as if killing an innocent baby is something to be proud of. Moreover, as I have said many times, the teaching of evolution has been one of Satan’s greatest ploys to convince the world that it has no need for a creator and therefore they are free to do what is right in their own eyes.

The Western world. has seen an incredible upsurge in sexual immorality in the last few decades. Pornography is easily accessible on the internet, including on smartphones. Then consider the recent legalisation of gay marriage and the left’s radical push to accept transgenderism. Imagine the effect this is having on the next generation. It has no concept of a loving but holy and righteous God, nor that the beginning of wisdom is to fear God.

All of what we are seeing being manifest is prophesied to happen in the last days before Jesus returns. Let’s remember, that Jesus is Lord. Satan is defeated. All of his minions are defeated. We can overcome. Let’s recognise the enemy, let’s get equipped, and I say, for the sake of our communities, in Jesus’ name, let’s see the Jezebel spirit come down.

POWER OF PRAYER & FASTING

Every pastor needs to see this video. Four cities where Satan had control of its citizens, sin and lawlessness abounded. In every case, it took one or two, usually pastors coming into the city who realised that they could do nothing to change the situation and that unless God turned up nothing would change. Desperate prayer and fasting followed. God made His presence known and with faith and persistence transformation took place. We Are in a War With the ‘Rule or Ruin’ Radical Left

The totalitarian liberal left’s radical madness of “We will rule our nation or ruin our nation” is evident all across the nation.” How can you even rationalise with someone of this unreasonable and wicked mindset? It is a war of resistance and rebellion against the Bible and the American Constitution.

Listen to this compelling quote from Abraham Lincoln in his 1860 speech on the abolition of slavery where he outlines the attitude of the slave owners, which is directly related to the totalitarian left’s attitude today.

“Your purpose then plainly stated is that you will destroy the government unless you be allowed to construe and enforce the constitution as you please when all points in dispute between you and us. You will rule or ruin in all events.” —Abraham Lincoln

There is a level of hatred and resistance now in our nation that is beyond natural. It is of the demonic realm.

This all began building momentum after the election of President Donald Trump on that fateful day for all Democrats in November 2016. The defeat of Hillary Clinton loosened the grip on socialism and atheistic communism and the complete remaking of Barack Obama’s America.

This is the reason the day after the inauguration you heard influential celebrities like Madonna saying she has dreams of the White House burning down and being destroyed. It’s the reason other popular figures use such derogatory language and profanities against our president. Remember the image, still so clear in my mind, of the woman holding a model of the bloody head of Donald Trump in her hand?

A recent tweet from a popular public figure read like this:

“Whatever happens, I’m just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life.”

That is pure demonic hatred. It is inhumane. It speaks of the characteristics outlined in an evil, last-days people:

It is not normal. It is a murderous Satanic spirit. Never in my lifetime or perhaps the entire history of our nation have we seen this kind of disrespect and dishonour for the highest office in the land. It is demonic filth and hatred.

This irrational and senseless attitude, which borders on insanity, is the prevailing spirit in our nation. It’s like a virus. The ungodly media is shaping the minds of multitudes and spreading this virus. That’s why you had the desperation to find collusion with the Russians, which, one Washington reporter, after two years of investigation, says turned up no evidence at all. Zero. Zilch. Nada. But just as with the Kavanaugh hearings, it’s never been about evidence. It’s about smearing, undermining, distorting the facts and character defamation of the truly upright.

“unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good” (2 Tim. 3:2-3)

When you have such insensible, corrupt and lawless leaders and rulers in our nation, you are looking at an unending war that is not going to be stopped anytime soon, even if conservatives win the midterms. A battle has been won, but the war continues. This is already a large leaven in our nation. It’s too big a ship to turn in one election; and honestly, I’m not even sure it can be turned anytime soon.

This is an unending war against American patriotism, the rule of law and fair play. But most of all, it is a war of resistance and rebellion against the Bible and our Constitution. There is no method to this radical liberal madness of “we will rule our nation or ruin our nation.” How can you even rationalise with someone of this unreasonable and wicked mindset?

The totalitarian left threatens democracy and government in America. It also more importantly, threatens our Judeo-Christian heritage. It is further evidence we are in the “last days”. Satan understand his time is short and he intends to inflict us much damage as possible on God’s creation.

 

TRUMP – “A TREMENDOUS VICTORY FOR OUR NATION”

Trump is right, his appointment of Brett Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court judge demonstrates he is doing exactly what God intended he should do, when God allowed him to become President of the U.S.A.

Trump declared it an “historic night,” not long after signing the paperwork to make Kavanaugh’s status official.

“I stand before you today on the heels of a tremendous victory for our nation,” he said to roars of supporters at the Kansas Expo-centre in Topeka.

Trump invited reporters travelling with him to Kansas, to watch the final vote in his private office aboard Air Force One, then delivered a thumbs up from his desk as the confirmation was made official.

“Very, very good,” Trump said. “Very happy about it. Great decision. I very much appreciate those 50 great votes and I think he’s going to go down as a totally brilliant Supreme Court Justice for many years.” Trump, throughout the day, insisted Kavanagh would not be tainted by the sexual assault allegations from Christine Blasey Ford and others that nearly tanked his nomination, declaring he was “100 per cent” certain his nominee was innocent. “I have no doubt,” Trump said, telling reporters that he had chosen Kavanaugh, in part, because “there’s nobody with a squeaky-clean past like Brett Kavanaugh because he is an outstanding person and I’m very honoured to have chosen him.” He said Kavanaugh had withstood a “horrible, horrible attack” that “nobody should have to go through.” Trump continued lashing out at Democrats when he rallied supporters in Topeka, telling them the opposition party conducted a “shameless campaign of political and personal destruction” against Kavanaugh.

 

PROOF GOD IS IN CONTROL OF HISTORY

CHURCH NEEDS A TOTAL MAKEOVER

Spiritual warfare is about whose version of reality will prevail on earth – heaven or hell

Who is winning the war: the church has no meaningful penetration of Media—and look what media is doing?  Academia is the stronghold of evolution and Marxist indoctrination of our youth. What about Arts and Late Night television? Even businesses fear boycotts by activists so much that they cower in submission. This is true for America and increasingly in Australia as well.

What is God doing:

J.D. Greear, 45, a successful pastor from Durham, North Carolina, last week was elected president of the 15-million-member Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Greear is the youngest leader of the SBC in 37 years, and he brings with him a fresh approach to ministry that could trigger a wave of growth as well as upset some hyper-conservatives.

Greear says, 90 percent of what we are doing in church today needs a total makeover. We are facing the most daunting renovation project in the history of the church. But the task is not impossible. It will require us to take these painful steps:

  1. We must break free from the fear of change. God is always on the move. He might lead us to camp in one spot for a while, but we can never get too comfortable in one place. His trumpet will eventually blow, and the cloud of His presence will shift. Don’t park when God is calling you forward. Stay open to His fresh directives and expect Him to stretch your faith. He is adventurous!

And be prepared for a surprise: Pentecost moments come suddenly! (See Acts 2:2.) The Holy Spirit is not under obligation to give you a two-year advance warning of His shifts.

  1. We must be willing to defy tradition. People who are married to the past cannot embrace the future. Sacred cows do not belong in the pulpit; they must be sacrificed. “The way we’ve always done it” will not work in God’s new season. The crowd chooses the comfortable pews of nostalgia, but God is with the courageous few who are willing to blaze a new path into unreached territory.
  1. We must ask the Spirit to reveal His new strategies. We cannot rely on church growth gurus, popular books or rock-star preachers to lead us into genuine change. Copying spiritual trends is just a form of carnality—and it is a sad substitute for real innovation. If the Holy Spirit does not orchestrate the work of transforming the church, our changes will be shallow. The last thing we need is a superficial upgrade.

And remember: Just because J.D. Greear and his team are attracting big crowds in North Carolina does not mean your church will automatically grow if you copy him. You need your own download from God, not a suit of armour that was fashioned for someone else.

The Lord wants to unleash a gushing river of new wine into the church today, but we must prepare our wineskins. What is old must be renewed by the Spirit, what is outdated must be remodelled, and what is ineffective must be replaced. God wants to do a new thing. Don’t resist it.

DO NOT FEAR SUFFERING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE

Let Peter reassure you, “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled…” 1 Peter 3:14 

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.” 1 Peter 4:13-14

“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”  1 Peter 5:10.

Most of us don’t know the kind of death we face but there are many in our generation who are losing their lives because they follow Jesus. How are they are received in heaven?

“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:14-17

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”  Revelation 12:11.
