JESUS KINGDOM WILL COME, AND HIS WILL WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” This statement is up front in the only prayer our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray to our Heavenly Father. How many times has this prayer been prayed, and yet it has not come to pass? But you can rest assured it will, and Biblical end-times prophecy reveals it is not too far off.

Before 1948, Israel did not exist as a nation, so all the Biblical end-times prophecies about Israel and of Jesus returning to Earth on the Mount of Olives to rescue the nation of Israel made no sense. Hence, the miraculous rebirth of Israel was the first major Biblical end-times prophecy that was fulfilled.

The Bible reveals God will regather the Jews from all the Nations, and on Jesus’ return, with Him ruling and reigning, Israel will realise her destiny as head of the Nations.

Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone and will gather them from all around, and bring them to their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned and will cleanse them, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 37:21-23

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry on this earth, He recited Isaiah 61:1-2 in the synagogue:

He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” Isaiah 61:1-2

But note what He did then. “And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. “And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:20-21

Jesus did not read the rest of Isaiah’s prophecy because it refers to His second coming. Look at the incredible amount of detail it provides about what will happen at Jesus second coming to earth and during His Millennial reign.

And the day of vengeance of our Godto comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorifiedThey shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory, you shall boastInstead of your shame, there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonour, they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore, in their land, they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. For I the Lord love justice, hate, robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with themTheir offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.” Isaiah 61:2-11

To fulfil Isaiah’s and Ezekiel’s prophecies 37:21-23, as well as the many other O.T. and N.T. prophecies on Jesus’ second coming, the Millennium Kingdom is a necessary transition before the new heaven and new earth. God tells us He will make Israel one nation and make a new covenant with them. He will ensure they never backslide again. The saved and the unsaved alike will behold Jesus’ rightful place as the divine sovereign of the universe.

HOW GOD ACTS ON EARTH

The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.Exodus 3:7-8

This Scripture tells us that God has decided to deliver the Jews out of the hand of the Egyptians and give them their own land which is now occupied by other nations. The next verse tells us who the Lord is speaking to and where. It is Moses and he is tending sheep which is what he has been doing for the last 40 years. Then we learn that God tells a reluctant Moses that He is going to use Moses to achieve His purposes.

What can we learn from these scriptures as to how God brings about His purposes on this earth and how He might want to use us to bring about His will on earth. Bear in mind most of us are praying to God “for His will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven” This is the prayer Jesus taught us to pray: “Our Father who is in heaven hallowed be your name, Your Kingdom come Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven…

Do we realise that this phrase in the Lord’s prayer is about us submitting and allowing God to use us to do His will!

God chose Moses right from His birth to bring about the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt and to bring them to the Promised Land. All of Moses life experiences prepared him for that task particularly his time, effectively as the Pharaoh’s sisters child, in the Pharaoh’s palace. Also, Joseph’s life story of preparation for God’s purposes through difficult circumstances is similar to that of Moses.

The Scriptures are full of examples of God using people to do His will on earth.

  • Philip is told to go and speak to the Ethiopian (Acts 8).
  • Ananias is called to go and lay hands on Saul/Paul (Acts 9).
  • Peter is sent to go and speak to Cornelius (Acts 10).

Most often God does the work of fulfilling His purposes on earth through His people.

Can I suggest you consider what life experiences you have had and therefore what God may be preparing for you to do to bring about His will on this earth. It may not be as grand a task as that of Moses and Joseph’s but God does have a plan for you to help bring about His Will on this earth. Keep praying the Lord’s Prayer with this in mind.

JUST ONE OF THE EXODUS MIRACLES

LIVING ETERNAL NOW

My purpose for Living Eternal Now is to encourage people to start living with this focus.

When the disciples asked Jesus: “How should we pray?”. Jesus gave us The Lords Prayer.

All Christians know it, and pray it, but when we pray “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” how many of us really seek to play a part each day in making that happen – Jesus Kingdom on earth and His will being done on earth as it is in heaven. How difficult it is to say, as Jesus did to the Father, “not My will but Yours be done”

Even for me at age 82 I find it difficult to stay away from worldly distractions, particularly time wasters such as TV. What about you?

Avoda or Avodah is the Hebrew word for work, worship, and service so work is God ordained, it is just how we conduct that work which is of interest to God.

For those that have read About Me, on this site, you will know that God equipped me for business and even now I am on the Australian Board of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce and author of the book Build a Kingdom Business – Empowered by the Holy Spirit (available as an ebook on Amazon and a paperback edition is available from me for a donation to cover postage, email ron@bakb.com.au)

My current project, as some of you are aware, is providing sermons and videos for the end times church on http://www.powerpointsermons.net. There are a lot of power point sermons already up there but I believe God has shown me that I need to actually present the sermons and put them up on YouTube.

I prayed about which one to do first and I believe it is ISRAEL – HISTORY & PURPOSE. Initially, I thought BIBLICAL INERRANCY but no, God wants me to start with Israel and I can only think that as Israel is central to all that God does, and in fact the Antichrist does, in the “last days” that this is the reason.

When it is finished I will put it up on livingeternal.net and would appreciate your input on it. If you think it is beneficial, I would appreciate your help in promoting it, and http://www.powerpointsermons.net.

FORGIVE YOUR ENEMIES – Is it possible?

Corrie Ten Boon spent years in the notorious Ravensbruck Concentration Camp near Berlin in World War Two. After the war when confronted by one of the Ravensbruck guards who had been instrumental in killing her sister Betsy, do you think Corrie could forgive him? Corrie could not but the Holy Spirit within her could. HE convicted Corrie of Jesus & The Cross, The Lord’s Prayer and her need to forgive others so that God could forgive her. Listen to what happened after she forgave that converted prison guard.
