THE SOURCE OF TRUTH

A powerful reminder that God’s Word remains our ultimate authority in a shifting world. Another insightful presentation from Martyn Isles on TRUTH. The real truth is that all authority and power in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus. The prince of this world (Satan) will be cast out when Jesus returns.

The basis of all truth is based on the following reality.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earthGenesis 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:1-4

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.John 1:14

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.John 1:9-13

CHRIST’S LOVE IN A WORLD OF COUNTERFEITS

And above all, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.Colossians 3:14

To stand against the forces that seek to extinguish Christ’s love in a world awash with counterfeits, we must first recognize their flawed definitions. There’s a selfish “love” that’s more accurately called pride, fueling the world’s obsession with “bodily autonomy.” People chant, “My body, my choice,” or “love is love,” elevating themselves as their own gods. Meanwhile, those who uphold the sanctity of life or the biblical design for marriage (much less the biblical and biological definition of male and female) are branded as bigoted haters.

We live in a culture that claims to value truth but worships subjectivity — the very antithesis of truth. If everything is subjective, truth ceases to exist, for truth is unchanging and absolute. Yet Scripture proclaims a different reality: Psalm 119:160 declares, “The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.” Connecting the dots: God is love, and His word declares that He “is the same yesterday, today, and forever(Hebrews 13:8). True love is consistent — unwavering in nature and aligned with God’s word.

Consider John 14:15, where Jesus declares, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” Here, love moves beyond being defined by God’s character to being demonstrated through obedience to His commands. So, what does it look like to show this love? It looks like pursuing righteousness, sharing the gospel, and standing unyieldingly for biblical truth in every sphere of life. To put on love is to live boldly for Christ, reflecting His heart in a world desperate for the real thing.

To put on love is to be willing to take slander for the sake of Christ, “having good conscience” because “those who revile your good behaviour in Christ may be put to shame” (1 Peter 3:16). To put on love means to accept that we will be hated for His namesake, but he who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 10:22-24). To put on love is to know that persecution is inevitable for “all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:12). But “blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).

Do you see the pattern? For every bit of slander, hatred, persecution, or threat we receive for being clothed in Christ, we are rewarded by, in, and for His goodness. This world, dear reader, is not our home. We’re in the world, but we’re not of it (John 17:16). No, this is the land of the prince of darkness (John 12:31; Ephesians 2:2). Though Christ reigns supreme, “Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). We have no guarantee of comfort here, nor should we desire it.

Putting on Christ boldly means we long for the day when we are with Him face-to-face. And when that day comes, do you know what it means? No more pain, suffering, slander, persecution — you name it. Do you know what else it means? We will be surrounded not by counterfeit loves that entice us toward destruction, but perfect, complete, holy, heavenly love — not just with Christ, but with all of His people. There’s perfect love found in our Saviour, and in eternity, we’ll finally see it in full — without blemish. It’s a love so pure and complete that it’s hard to fathom this side of heaven.

Yet, while we are still dwelling on this side of heaven, let us clothe ourselves in Christ. Let us put on love — His love — boldly, faithfully, and unapologetically, trusting that every step we take in obedience brings us closer to the day when we will see Him in all His glory, surrounded by the perfect harmony of His eternal love. Let us put on His love, knowing, right now, we’re the closest to hell we’ll ever be, and the farthest from heaven we’ll ever be. Put on His love, even in a world that mocks you for it, because it is the only true love there is.

In one final thought, I want to encourage you not to grow weary in doing good — in loving your neighbour. This world has always been drenched in darkness, but it appears especially bleak right now. Death, hostility, hate, and more are right on our doorsteps, threatening to break in. But we dwell in God’s house, we have the Holy Spirit within us, and God has promised never to abandon those whom He loves.

Stand firm. Pray fervently. Trust God. Love boldly.

EVERY MAN AND WOMAN WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT TO GOD

Every man is made by God, every man will give an account to God, and that truth will outlast any human power to defy him. God is righteous and holy and He will judge evil and wickedness. How many people in the world are living in accordance with this truth? Sadly, not many, so let us that know the truth, do our best to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead to alert those to this truth, to whomever He takes us. Just follow His lead. Don’t try and do anything in your own strength that is wasted time. God sent the Holy Spirit to indwell every believers spirit so we can once again be the lamp of the Lord as stated in Proverbs: “The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.Proverbs 20:27. A lamp cannot function without oil which is the Holy Spirit.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others” 2 Corinthians 5:10-11

BIBLICAL TRUTH BRANDED HATE SPEECH

When biblical truth is branded hate speech

We’ve reached a point in culture where entire sections of Scripture are now considered “hate speech.” If you affirm God’s design for marriage, gender, or life in the womb, you risk being censored, mocked, or even punished.

Isaiah warned us: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil” (Isaiah 5:20). That’s exactly what’s happening. The world has inverted God’s standards — light is called darkness, and darkness is celebrated as light.

And let’s be clear: speaking the Bible is not hate. The Bible itself says, “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth” (1 Corinthians 13:6). True love tells the truth, even when it’s unpopular.

Love without truth isn’t love at all — it’s indifference. And indifference leads people straight into destruction.

Culture’s shifting morality vs. God’s unchanging word

Here’s the problem with cultural morality: it shifts constantly. What’s praised today is condemned tomorrow. It’s built on feelings, not on facts.

Murder is excused in some cases but denounced in others, sexual ethics redefined with each generation, and “compassion” used as an excuse to break laws. But morality without Scripture is just a moving target.

God’s Word doesn’t shift with feelings or politics. Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” That’s why Charlie Kirk’s stand mattered — he anchored everything in the Bible, not in popular opinion.

Out of context: The attack strategy

How often Charlie’s critics ripped his words out of context. Take his comment on the Civil Rights Act. Critics spun it as racist, when his point was about federal government overreach — not opposing equal rights. Or his remarks on the Second Amendment, where he said liberty comes with a cost. Opponents twisted that into indifference about human life, even though he also called those deaths tragic.

Even Scripture itself has been twisted this way for centuries. Satan quoted Psalm 91 out of context when tempting Jesus (Matthew 4:6). Why should we expect the world to treat modern truth-tellers any differently? That’s the real playbook: rip words from their setting, slap a label of “hate,” and dismiss the speaker entirely. It is demonically inspired. We are in a spiritual war, and it is getting more intense, as Satan knows his time is short.

Why truth is love, not hate

Jesus didn’t say, “Stay quiet so you don’t offend.” He said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).

The world says truth is hate. But in reality, the absence of truth is the cruellest hate of all.

Paul reminds us that love rejoices in truth (1 Corinthians 13:6), and that we must “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15). To stay silent while people remain in sin is not love — it’s indifference.

Even this week, a Reuters report on a law professor suspended over posts about Kirk shows how fiercely culture now polices speech around controversial public figures. That should wake us up. If even Scripture is branded as hate, then we must be prepared to face the same hostility.

Standing firm in a world turned upside down

The culture may label us “haters,” but the truth is this: standing on God’s Word is the most loving thing we can do.

Charlie Kirk lived this out boldly. And Franklin Graham’s defence of him reminds us that true Christianity is not about silencing sin or watering down truth. It’s about proclaiming Christ with courage and compassion.

Like Charlie, we are called to hold fast to biblical truth — no matter the cost.

TRUE TRUTH BRINGS JOY UNSPEAKABLE

  1. Truth exists and is knowable.
  2. Truth upheld brings blessings.
  3. Truth disregarded brings consequences

I am more convinced than ever that embracing a biblically informed worldview of “true truth” brings “joy unspeakable” (1 Pet.1:8) and “abundant life” (John 10:10) as Jesus promised to obedient followers.

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.1 Peter 1:8-9

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

Erroneous thinking and anti-biblical worldviews have consequences. For many, it leads to addictions, health problems, and even premature death or suicide. For everyone serious about aligning with the radical and amazing plan God ordained for your life, let me strongly encourage you to fulfil your destiny by embracing a biblical worldview.

More than 30% of the Bible is Biblical prophecy, and much of it is now fulfilled, which proves that the rest of the prophecies—there are about 2000 of them—are about Jesus’ second coming to Earth, to defeat the Antichrist and his army at the battle of Armageddon, and to initiate His Millennial reign with the glorified Saints.

Have you read my recent post – Will you escape the wrath of God? If not, I urge you to do so.

COURAGE AND CONSEQUENCES: A WHISTLEBLOWER’S HARROWING EXPERIENCE WITH BIDEN’S DEPARTMENT OF (IN)JUSTICE

Eithan Haim’s vindication after very nearly facing prison time on spurious charges was only reversed after Trump was elected President.

Thankfully, the sham legal prosecution against Eithan Haim is over for good. After Haim blew the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) for secretly providing gender transition procedures to minors in violation of state law, the Biden administration Department of Justice (DOJ) set out to ruin Haim’s life and career. More than 18 months and $1 million in legal fees later, Haim is finally free and clear.

GOD ENSURED THAT THE TRUTH WON OUT. It only took four days into the Trump administration for the Biden administration’s phony case to get crumpled up and thrown in the wastebasket. On Friday afternoon, the DOJ and Haim’s attorneys (the Burke Law Group) jointly moved “for an order dismissing the Second Superseding Indictment and all open counts with prejudice.”

The sparse motion gave little to analyze, except what it did not say. “The joint motion to dismiss the indictment offers no details,” mused Eugene Volokh. “But presumably the Trump Administration had a different view on the matter than did the Biden Administration.”

That same afternoon, Judge David Hittner responded, “As the direct and only result of a joint motion of the parties, the United States Attorneys Office of the Southern District of Texas, and legal counsel for the Defendant, Eithan David Haim, the Second Superseding Indictment and all open counts in the above-listed criminal case are hereby DISMISSED with prejudice.”

Dismissing charges with prejudice “means that the plaintiff cannot refile the same claim again in that court,” explains the Legal Information Institute. “The reason that dismissal with prejudice prevents subsequent refiling is because this type of dismissal is considered an ‘adjudication on the merits.’”

In other words, at the request of Trump’s DOJ, the judge decided that the charges brought against Haim by Biden’s DOJ were bogus, and that they could never be brought again.

For 18 months, beginning on the day he graduated from surgical training, the threat of criminal prosecution and financial disaster has hung over his head like the sword of Damocles.

BIBLE SALES IN AMERICA ARE UP 22%

Sarah Holliday, reporter at The Washington Stand looks at possible reasons why in a country that has been increasingly turning away from God and His values.

The Wall Street Journal wrote that “Bible sales are up 22% in the U.S. through the end of October, compared with the same period last year.” According to the outlet, there are several potential factors for why this is the case. Jeff Crosby, president of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, believes “people are experiencing anxiety … related to artificial intelligence [and] election cycles.” All of which “feeds a desire for assurance that we’re going to be okay.” Maybe Crosby is right. People want to know they’re going to be okay, and so they’re turning to the Bible.

Others have speculated that the rise in Bible sales can be attributed to influencers on social media. Cely Vazquez, whom WSJ described as an artist and influencer, has used her platform to share that she “recently bought her first Bible.” Likewise, the outlet highlighted Amber Cimiotti, another social media figure who thinks podcasters and TikTokers play a major role in the growing number of people buying Bibles.

WSJ also noted how several publishing houses found the customers largely responsible for the surge in Bible sales were members of Gen Z, college students, and younger people alike. And it’s not just religious publishers seeing the Bibles fly off the shelves, but mainstream retailers too — including Amazon. Observers are puzzling over what’s causing it in light of recent surveys that have found that at least 28% of American adults claim to be religiously unaffiliated. That doesn’t exactly scream an increased demand for religious material.

Ultimately, it’s more than likely that all of these factors laid out by WSJ played a part in the increase of people buying Bibles. Rev. Blaine Crawford of Irvington Presbyterian Church told WSJ that he has seen a recent increase in Scripture study groups. He remarked that God’s word is a “grand epic story of the great questions of life. What do we do with grief or anger, what are we here for, where is the world going? The Bible provides a counterpart in a conversation about what we’re doing at this time.”

As people made in the image of God, we were never meant to be away from Him. The reigning theme in the book of Ecclesiastes is not that life has no meaning, but that apart from Christ, the source from which our purpose derives, there is no meaning. As The Post Millennial wrote, “Experts and industry insiders attribute the growth in Bible sales to societal anxieties and a search for hope.” But I don’t think the experts are the only ones who could have figured this out. Rather, Christians should understand this to be the case better than almost anyone. After all, Christians are to be the people who understand their sin and need of a Savior. We ought to be at the frontlines of an anxious culture offering them the hope of the gospel.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins put it this way: “Obtaining a Bible is the first step; the second step is to read it and then understand it. As Philip helped the Ethiopian leader understand the Word, pray that those who are turning to the truth for hope will have others who can help them understand the Good News contained within the pages of the Bible.” Guest host Jody Hice also commented on the news that the Bible is in higher demand on Monday’s episode of “Washington Watch.” Simply put, he stated, it’s “tremendous news!”

Pastor Jay Johnson, FRC’s National Prayer Director, agreed. As he emphasized, “I certainly rejoice at that news, and [I’m] just grateful that … there’s a demand” for the word of God. “There [are]people all over looking for hope, and people are guiding them to God’s word.” But according to Johnson, “it’s not just to know the Bible [and] not just to read the Bible, but to know God. And I think that’s the beauty of God’s word.” He also referenced FRC’s Bible reading plan, Stand on the Word, noting that it’s “a great resource for people to engage in reading God’s word.”

Both agreed that it’s important to read and study the Bible, but beyond Scripture, Johnson urged that “it’s also very vital to find a church that is teaching and preaching the word of God.” It’s important “to get engaged with a local church where they can study with others.” Especially because, as Hice and Johnson agreed, it can be difficult to stay focused when reading the Bible. It can be hard to get started, particularly for people who are new to picking up God’s word like the 22% or so this year. “I just want to encourage people,” Johnson said, “to start out by praying and asking for divine guidance.”

On behalf of everyone here at FRC, we believe in the life-giving, soul-saving power of God’s word. It’s the reason we start every morning as an organization in prayer and Bible study. And so, whether you’re new to reading the Bible or have been reading it nearly your whole life, now is the time to open it up and study it, know it, and ask the Holy Spirit to write it on your heart. And as we read of the 22% increase of people who are cracking open the pages of Scripture, let us pray that God opens their eyes, ears, and hearts to the glorious truth of the gospel.

It’s no wonder this fallen world is full of broken people looking for hope, answers, and truth. And this hope, these answers, and the truth we all crave is found in the Bible. The riches are there, free of charge. All you have to do is read and, by God’s grace, believe.

ON FRENCH TV AIRWAVES ABORTION CANNOT BE PRESENTED AS A CAUSE OF DEATH

Modern France traces its ideology back to the violent, anti-Christian French Revolution, when the Jacobins chose as their slogan “liberté, égalité, fraternité” (liberty, equality, and fraternity) but not vérité (truth). The French government revealed its hostility to vérité recently when it fined a Christian program for saying that abortion causes death.

On February 25, 2024 broadcaster Aymeric Pourbaix of the CNews channel’s Roman Catholic program “En quête d’esprit” (“In search of the Spirit”) posted a slide with a stark and unwelcome truth: Abortion is “the leading cause of death in the world.” The infographic came as the nation of France stood poised to make abortion a constitutional right. The government promptly punished the conservative news outlet for speaking truth to power.

CNews announced on November 14th, 2024 that the government agency in charge of regulating broadcasting, ARCOM (Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique) meted out a fine of €100,000, or $104,000 U.S. for airing that segment. ARCOM also tried to shackle CNews or any other TV show from presenting the human toll of abortion, stating that, on TV airwaves, “abortion cannot be presented as a cause of death.” ARCOM further complained that this “manifest inaccuracy” was “not contradicted by the other people present on the set.”

“Around 73 million induced abortions take place worldwide each year,” according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Yet in an article posted in August titled “The top 10 causes of death,” WHO claims the “world’s biggest killer is ischemic heart disease … rising by 2.7 million to 9.1 million deaths in 2021.” The number two cause of death, the WHO claimed, was COVID-19.

The French government has kept rolling out fines for speaking truths not approved by the government. The modern-day Jacobins have no greater aversion to using force to crush truth than their murderous, secular ancestors.

France will reap God’s judgement for this anti-God act. France like so many of the nations will be judged goat nations.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world... Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.Matthew 25:32-34, 45

THE BIBLE – IS IT TRUE OR IS IT TRUTH?

“Is the Bible True? Or Is It Truth?” by Scott Pinsker The article pokes fun at those who read the Bible “literally,” specifically calling out the global flood account as “pretty farfetched.” But the reasons he gives for why “the story of Noah is a tough nut to crack” are the same skeptical objections Answers in Genesis (AIG) and Creation Ministries International (CMI) have addressed for years!

A picture of the life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark built at Williamstown, Kentuck by Answers in Genesis (AIG). It was opened in 2016.

Here are the objections author Scott Pinsker raises, followed by a short answer with links to AIG articles on these topics.

  • Objection: How could Noah bring “every animal on earth” onto the ark, including “1.05 million insect species, 11,000 birds, 11,000 reptiles, and 6,000 mammals”?
Answer: He didn’t need to! Follow the link to the full story, but the short answer is he only needed land-dwelling, air-breathing animal KINDS (not species)—less than 7,000 animals total!
  • Objection: The fossil record proves there couldn’t have been a worldwide flood.
Answer: Actually, it shows the opposite!
  • Objection: Regionalized flora and fauna prove there couldn’t have been a worldwide flood.
Answer: To answer this objection you need to understand the biblical concept of kinds.
  • Objection: Noah would’ve had to bring freshwater fish into an onboard aquarium or they would’ve died out.
Answer: This fails to understand the differences between the preflood world and our world and, again, the concept of kinds. Besides, the account in Scripture states only land animal kinds were on the ark.
  • Objection: Noah would’ve been required to take 2,000 species of termites on the ark, and surely the wooden vessel wouldn’t survive that.
Answer: But Noah perhaps didn’t need to bring insects on the ark, and even if he did, he wouldn’t need all those species!
  • Objection: Noah could never have cared for so many animals.
Answer: Well, he didn’t bring tens of thousands of animals onboard the ark! He easily could have cared for the few thousand he needed to bring.
  • Objection: Why didn’t Noah bring innocent babies onto the ark instead of having them perish in the flood?
Answer: God offered a means of salvation, and everyone except Noah and his family rejected it and therefore kept their children from receiving it as well. Besides, only God determines what is right and wrong. How can a human being determine morality without a basis in an absolute authority?

It’s rather frustrating to see skeptics—Christian or otherwise—mock the Bible for so-called “petty flaws” that thoughtful Christians have addressed for years! Just a few minutes of research on AIG or CMI sites would’ve shown that there are plausible answers to these questions. And yet he just repeats the same tired objections he’s heard from equally uninformed skeptics.

Why does he raise all these objections? Well, it’s to supposedly bolster his main point:

There are infinite ways to interpret the Bible. The Bible is about God, after all, and everyone’s image of God is different: My mental image of God differs from yours. And if we can’t even agree on the starting point, it’s going to be next to impossible to agree on all the twists and turns in the Scriptures.

The historicity of the Bible is a tricky topic—one that’s rife with recriminations, allegations, and declarations of faith. . . . Couldn’t an all-powerful, all-knowing God just as easily create a Holy Book that’s historical AND moral? Then why must it be one or the other? Why not both? Only God Himself knows for sure.

If only God himself knows, wouldn’t it behoove us to look at what God has said about his own Word in his Word and take it as written? One verse in particular immediately comes to mind:

For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me“. John 5:46

Jesus tells his skeptical audience that they would believe his words if they believed the history written in the Old Testament because it all points to him. God recorded history, not just to teach us some “special wisdom . . . that can transform your soul,” but to point us to the Lord of history, Jesus Christ.

He also gave us his Word—history—for our instruction, so, we can know right from wrong and how to think biblically. Consider that, after refreshing his audience on some Old Testament history, Paul writes:

Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did“. 1 Corinthians 10:6

Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come“. 1 Corinthians 10:11

God’s Word is both, historical and filled with spiritual truths—not because I say so, but because God himself says so! (And he would know—he authored it after all! See 2 Timothy 3:16). And besides, Genesis is written as a historical narrative and is treated as such in the New Testament.

In the end, the author asks the question: “Do you believe the Bible is true—that every word and every claim should be taken 100% literally? Or do you believe the Bible is truth—that there’s a special wisdom within the Scriptures that can transform your soul, but truth comes in many forms, and you’ll have to work at uncovering the meaning for yourself?” (emphasis original)

I’ll simply let the Scriptures answer that question: “Your word is truth“. John 17:17, “The sum of your word is truth“. Psalm 119:160, “Let God be true though every one were a liar”. Romans 3:4

God’s Word is truth because it is true—if it isn’t true, then God is a liar and therefore the Bible is not truth. You can’t have one without the other! And to clear up yet another misconception, we don’t take the Bible “100% literally.” We read the Bible naturally, according to genre, as it was meant to be read!
