JESUS said My Father’s House is a House of Prayer

Call upon me and I will answer says the LORD.

So vital and so simple and yet do we pray? Call a pray meeting at your church and see how many turn up. The only channel for us to get God to work is prayer and He says all you need I have so why don’t we pray. I have already posted “How to be a Person who Changes the Course of History” (Derek Prince on prayer)” but if you want more encouragement/inspiration to get into prayer listen to the sermon below by Jim Cymbala.

Love Your Enemies – Remake the World

Love your enemies works, Jeremy Courtney and “Preemptive Love” shows us how to reach Muslims and how to show God’s love. He also gives us a new perspective on suffering and facing fear.

A must view as it is a message from God for our time. I love Jeremy’s “violence unmakes the world preemptive love remakes the world.

Note the leader of the Muslim Jihadists said, we cannot allow these people to continue to save our children as they will cause them to love their enemies. He got it right.

A World in Crisis with No Way Out.

In March this year some of the world’s biggest financial thinkers gathered in Melbourne for a two-day investment summit entitled WORLD WAR D – Money, War & Survival in the Digital Age. Below is an abbreviated report on the outcome of the conference by one of the conference organizers. It would be humorous except it is factual and reveals a world in crisis. “NO WAY OUT” was the rather sobering conclusion to Satyajit Das’ 90 minute presentation at the World War D conference. Das was dressed for the occasion, wearing all black. And it was a fitting conclusion given he spent the entire presentation explaining exactly why the exits are closed. In a word, it’s because of debt. There is simply too much of it, and we’re trying to create more of it in the belief that it’s some kind of solution. No wonder Das thinks there’s no way out; we’re trying to exit through the roofWhat about going the other way? Back down the stairs and out the front door? That’s not likely. The way Das tells it, downstairs is completely flooded. Or as he put it:The low rates, mispricing of risk and excessive debt levels that were the causes of the crisis are now considered the ‘solution’. Ultimately, the policies being used to manage the crisis punish frugality and thrift, instead rewarding borrowing, profligacy, excess and waste. A new study from Princeton and Northwestern Universities concluded that the US government represents not the interests of the majority of citizens but those of the rich and powerful. ‘The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on US government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence,” says the peer-reviewed study.  Yes, dear reader, the elite run things.  That’s why we have QE (quantitative easing), for example. The banking cartel is perhaps the most powerful group in America. Its oligarchs want to make a profit. How better to do so than to lend themselves money for practically zero interest…then use that money to lend to Washington at a higher rate?  Everybody wins, right? Washington gets the cheap funding it needs to continue handing out billion-dollar contracts for things we don’t need…and banks earn a fat margin on the newly created money. Hey, and maybe the ‘wealth effect’ will drip a few shekels onto the poor schmucks who still think their votes decide things.   ‘Last week’s budget debate showed how little difference there lies between the parties when it comes to preserving the warfare-welfare state. One side may prefer more warfare while the other prefers more welfare, but neither side actually wants to significantly reduce the size and scope of government. Now we know: There is nothing ‘wrong’ in Washington. There is nothing we can fix. No one is making a mistake. This is just the way government operates: It rewards the people who control it…and punishes everyone else.

Whilst this report refers mainly to the US Economic Crisis, the Conference presenters stated the European situation is no better and in fact worse because the levels of unemployment are much higher particularly below the age of twenty five; countries such as Spain and Italy over fifty percent are unemployed. A level at which anarchy is imminent.

The Bible predicts events such as these in the end times. A time when Christians will have unprecedented opportunities to present the GOOD NEWS and that the King is returning to put things right. At that time every knee will bow and every tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST is Lord regardless of whether they want to or not.

Universities breeding atheists

Since its initial release Ray Comfort’s video “Evolution vs God” has garnered thousands of hateful, demeaning and even violent comments from evolutionists. After watching this video you will understand why people who attend universities come out believing that science has proved God does not exist certainly not the God of the Bible.

Ray Comfort was criticized relentlessly for his use of “kind” and not “species”. However the observations of the living world are highly consistent with the Biblical described concept of original created kinds, and inconsistent with the idea of evolution. From Genesis 1, the ability to produce offspring, i.e. to breed with one another, defines the original created kinds. We can cross-breed a zebra and a horse (to produce a ‘zorse’), a lion and a tiger (a liger or tigon), or a false killer whale and a dolphin (a wholphin) so these are the same kind.

How to be a person who changes the course of history

You will need an hour to watch Derek Prince on getting your prayers answered but it will be well worth it. It could have eternal significance not just for you but many.

When you understand that prayer is not about you getting what you want but a way for you to become an instrument for God’s purposes here on earth you are on your way to becoming a person who can change the course of history.

The story Derek Prince recounts of him praying to God to intervene in Britain’s devastating defeat and seven hundred mile retreat to El Alamein is a good example. He was led to pray that God would bring a Godly leader to save the situation. Bernard Montgomery was given the job and the tide was turned in the second battle of El Alamein. The night before the battle, Montgomery got his commanders together and said, “Let us ask the Lord who is mighty in battle to give us victory”. When Derek heard Montgomery pray, it was like a bolt of electricity hit him and God confirmed that this was an answer to Derek’s prayer. God did give them victory and this battle revived the morale of the Allies, being the first major offensive against the Axis since the start of the European war in 1939 in which the Western allies had achieved a decisive victory.

Creation is FOUNDATIONAL to knowledge of GOD

Prof Bernard Brandstater

So says, medical pioneer Professor Bernard Brandstater. He is in his eighties and still doing part-time operating theatre work at Loma Linda University, California. He has many firsts in his distinguished medical career. He introduced prolonged intubation to assist infant breathing. This landmark technology spread rapidly. It triggered the quick appearance of neonatal intensive care units around the world.

“God made us”, says Professor Brandstater. “That’s His identity: the Creator, the sovereign Lord of the Universe. God as Creator is foundational to our understanding of anything”. According to Professor Brandstater, a Creation that deserves a central place in our worldview cannot include a long process that is abhorrent to us with millions of years of pain, suffering and death. The process of Creation must fit the character and purposes of God who does all things well, who is generous and merciful and delights in beauty. This is the God we can trust, seek to know and love. The Creation is clearly described in God’s Word as a brief time-limited event with a clean ending on Day Six and a celebration the following day. Moreover God tells us why he made the universe in six days, it is a pattern for mankind, six days we will work and rest the seventh day and it’s significant we still have a seven-day week. Dare we add a drawn out process that distorts this picture. Sadly most people do, adding long ages of evolutionary time. As Darwin’s Theory of Evolution does not make sense under the scrutiny of the latest scientific findings so why should we bow to such conjectures? God’s mode of creating tells us about His mind, His heart. In the Bible there is no indication of a long incubation. “He spoke and it was done.” Psalm 33:9. Evil and death certainly exist in the world today but they came later, not as part of God’s original Creation. They were a tragic result of the FALL; mankind’s disobedience. Young men witnessing for God on Britain’s Got Talent

God is doing something significant. Christians who want the world to know God is real and their talent emanates from Him are winning major TV talent quests. Dami Im won the 2013 X Factor Australia. On winning the final, she gave all the glory and honour to God for her success. Sister Cristina Succia, the nun from Sicily won Italy’s The Voice 2014. She attributed her popularity to a thirst for joy, for love, for a message that is beautiful and pure. I am sure she is right. Collabro -They won the Britain’s Got Talent final 2014. Note the audiences reaction to the message on righteousness delivered by these  five young men – a standing ovation. Many in the media don’t get it, they just conclude like Jim Kelly of the Daily Mail “Their success does not show that Britain has got talent at all. It only confirms that both the taste and the thinking of the British public remain at best an utter mystery and at worst banal”.

Letting Go and Letting God

Danny Gokey has a poignant story to tell. His book title “Hope in Front of Me – Find purpose in your darkest moments” gives you an inkling of its substance. Its the first time I have posted a music video. I have a feeling any women viewers will appreciate it. Let me know what you think. Danny Gokey came third on American idol. He almost withdrew from the first audition as his first wife in her early twenties died unexpectedly from complications after heart surgery just weeks before the audition. The quality of this video is not great but even if you don’t like Danny’s song fast forward to the interview so you hear his story. Only God can transform lives like this and you know what, HE is doing it all the time.  There is no doubt that all things work together for good to those who love God and are working according to His purposes. If you want to hear Danny sing more, go to the second link, to the interview on Huntley Street. His second song on this clip is my favourite. http://video.christianpost.com/100-huntley-street-featuring-american-idol-finalist-danny-gokey-episode-4-5749/

Build up Treasure in Heaven says Peter Costello

Peter Costello

Peter Costello and wife Tanya (former Treasurer in John Howard, Federal Government of Australia).

In his twenty years in politics Peter Costello never gave a speech like the one entitled “Money is bewitching and beguiling” that he gave at a Men’s Convention with the conference theme “Men at Work” last Friday night.

His keynote address explored money, fame and power. About money, he warned of its failure to ultimately satisfy. “Rather than make you happy, it makes you envious, we never have quite enough,” he said.

Costello defined the rich as “people with more money than me” and revealed that even billionaires compare themselves with each other. He humorously recounted a dinner meeting with the late billionaire Kerry Packer. The Australian dollar had just fallen dramatically and Packer was lamenting how much money he had lost. Packer reportedly said, “do you know how much this has cost me? Don’t think I am rich , I ‘m not a Bill Gates.”

Costello emphasized how temporary are our achievements and reputations and urged those present to look to the one who will ultimately judge all mankind.

Costello closed with the key theme of the 2004 Federal Election campaign “Who do you trust?” Political figures will not save you, he said. “Political figures won’t save your marriage or give purpose for living. Politicians can’t solve personal problems. Christians need to look to God and faith in Christ. Put not your trust in Princes.”

Costello then quoted from PSALM 146 “Happy is he whose hope is in the Lord his God. He remains faithful forever.”
