PROPHECY BY DAVID WILKERSON IN 1986

“I see a plague coming on the world and the bars and church and government will shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayerless believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world.”

David Wilkerson describes perfectly what we now call the COVID-19 pandemic.  How could he have known, and how could this spark a Third Great Awakening? Is it possible God is up to something?

Wilkerson says to each of us, “You need to hear directly from God, what is God saying to you. God will speak to you and encourage you despite the chaotic world circumstances surrounding you.”

The end times church will understand that each member has a calling from God to make disciples to share their testimony with non believers, to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.

CHINA IN THE END TIMES

Chinese President Xi Jinping called Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday to voice support for the creation of a Palestine state.

China says it will host Palestinian Peace Talks

Xi’s call likely signals that China is siding with the Palestinians against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s desire to extend Israeli sovereignty over areas of Judea and Samaria as laid out in the Trump administration’s Mideast plan.

The timing of the call raises questions as Chinese companies recently lost multi million-dollar bids for infrastructure projects in Israel, partly due to the U.S. warning Israel against giving China too much influence. Seeing Israel choose the U.S. in the struggle between the superpowers, China may be seeking to gain leverage with Israel’s enemies.

Last week, China signed a $400 billion accord with Iran in both the civilian and military sectors.

Openly defying U.S. sanctions on Tehran, China committed to build dozens of infrastructure projects throughout Iran, including ports and train lines, and integrate the Islamic Republic into its 5G telecommunications network.

The two countries will also tighten their military ties, boosting intelligence cooperation, sharing weapons development and increasing joint naval exercises. In exchange, Iran will sell China oil at below-cost prices for the next 25 years.

‘Wall Street firms have been examining the implications of the reversal of a decades-long effort to form a more symbiotic relationship between the world’s two largest economies. One consistent view is the world will be far more polarized, with economies and companies gravitating toward either a Chinese or an American orbit.’ The events in the Middle East outlined above indicate this view is playing out right now. it looks as though we’re headed for a split world. One that will revolve around two independent spheres of power and influence. Each with its own winners and losers. The world order really is shifting. Both the US and China are setting the stage for a huge showdown. One that will force much of the world to pick a side.

The Bible reveals that the final battle in the last year before Jesus returns to liberate Israel and begin His Millennial reign on earth involves the kings from the east. The alignment we are seeing taking place now with China and the Muslim nations against Israel is a necessary step in the fulfillment of this prophecy.

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.” Revelation 16:12-14The Day of the Lord

WANT TO BE USED BY GOD? FOLLOW MICHAEL TODD’S LEAD

More good sense from Michael Todd on church. Michael says many house churches stream Transformation Church’s services and use them to supplement small-group discussions. He’s very encouraged by this development, saying it reminds him of both the early church and Netflix all at once.

“It takes me back to Acts 2:42, where people gathered in homes, shared what they had, read the apostles’ teachings and talked about it,” Todd says. “Well, that’s what they’re doing on social media. They’re sharing about it. Friends are finding out about it. … We’re not facilitating it or doing anything. The reason Netflix blows up is because they provide content, but you decide how you want to watch it and how you want to use it. And as we’ve done that, we’ve seen salvation skyrocket. We’ve seen people get baptized. We’ve seen people go from being drug addicts or in different lifestyles or shacking up to being convicted or getting married.”

Transformation Church

Transformation Church has been particularly effective at reaching a diverse cross-section of young Millennials and Generation Z, a group often described by demographers as uninterested in religion. Todd disputes that point; he says what they are really uninterested in are frauds.

“They’re leaving the church because the church, in many respects, is a big business and a facade,” Todd says. “That’s why they’re leaving. This is the most authentic, self-aware generation that we’ve had in a long time, and they can smell a fake from a mile away. I think that’s why I’m appealing to this generation: Because they see it’s real. It’s authentic. If churches and leaders would value authenticity more, their Millennial and Gen Z attendance would go up tremendously.”

Put simply, if young adults are going to do something, they want to be 100% all-in, without any reservations. They don’t want to play church politics, pretend to be someone else or compartmentalize Christianity to Sunday meetings. They want to be free to be fully who God created them to be and hold nothing back in pursuit of Jesus. Because of that, Todd believes they can represent a threat to some “old guard” Christian leaders, but that they can also change the world for God.

“Nobody can tell me Millennials are not interested in God,” Todd says. “They’re not interested in a big business with no power. They can’t do that. …These young people? If they’re committed to something, they’re getting a tattoo of it, they’re changing their license plates to “SOLD OUT,” they’re telling all their friends. And so, it’s a bigger decision because they can’t do anything halfway.”

Todd says the beautiful thing about Transformation Church is that it’s as diverse as the kingdom of God. Whether young or old, digital or in-person, black or white, the movement is united around loving and obeying Jesus. And Todd says it’s his honor to serve as their pastor.

LIVING ETERNAL NOW

One of the greatest aspects of the Christian faith is what we believe happens after death. And by no means is it blind faith or wishful thinking. It starts with Jesus himself. In John’s eyewitness account of Jesus’ life and ministry, he records a conversation between Jesus and someone who had just lost a brother to sickness and death.

Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.  But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” John 11:21-27

Jesus made a promise to Martha that not only was there a resurrection, but that Jesus himself was the resurrection and the life, and that faith in him would result in eternal life. It’s why this same apostle John, would go on to write the greatest summary statement in all the Bible:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Make no mistake, Jesus clearly taught that there was a resurrection, and the way to eternal life, to a life after this life, was through faith in him. Now, the skeptical might ask: sure that’s great to believe in, but what if it’s all a hoax? Where’s the proof?

That’s a legitimate question.

How Christians live their lives should be proof enough. Why?

Because Jesus made it possible for our Heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit to indwell the Spirits of all believers. He produces the fruit in our lives of love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, kindness and self control. His job is to sanctify us, to make us like our Lord Jesus. We therefore build our lives around this belief in Jesus as Saviour and Lord. It affects how we live and interact with others. It affects how we use our time, our finances. We give our life to serving Him and others. The Holy Spirit even provides the gifts of the Spirit (all nine: 1 Corinthians 12:4 and Hebrews 2:4) to enable us to minister to others effectively.

In the book of 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul makes a great point:

If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.” 1 Corinthians 15:19

If this life is all that there is, then you would not live a life of sacrifice as Christians do.

Also look at the historical evidence: we know from the four eyewitness accounts from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, that Jesus claimed to be the son of God, and as he promised Martha, that he was the resurrection and the life. And then he died a criminal’s death on a Roman cross. Three days later, these disciples began to claim that Jesus was raised from the dead, that they had seen him. And if true, this would change everything, because on numerous occasions Jesus prophesied his own death and resurrection, and if someone can prophesy their own death and resurrection and then pull it off, surely it is evidence enough to convince the most hardened skeptic. Fifteen to twenty years later, the Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the church in Corinth, recorded in the book of 1 Corinthians. In chapter 15, we have this incredible teaching on what Christ has accomplished for us with His death and resurrection.

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

Paul is recording the central claim of Christianity: Jesus proved his divinity by dying on the cross and rising again, thereby validating everything he said about the resurrection. It’s why we have hope that we who believe in Jesus will see our brothers and sisters in Christ again, that this is not the end for us. The key here is the list of witnesses: after his resurrection, Jesus appeared to Cephas (Peter), the twelve, then 500 at one time, many of whom were still alive fifteen to twenty years later. It’s like Paul is saying: fact-check me on this one. I know it’s an outrageous claim, but go and talk to the witnesses yourself.

1 Corinthians is written twenty years after the event of the resurrection, with witnesses still alive, who saw Jesus alive after his death and burial and resurrection. And because Jesus rose from the dead, everything changes!

Here’s what Paul wrote about how Jesus’ resurrection secures our own resurrection:

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 54-57

Death is the great equalizer, death awaits us all, but Jesus has taken away it’s sting. Death is not all that there is, because Jesus conquered death, and through Jesus we will conquer death. That’s not saying that we’ll live forever in this life, but we’ll live forever in the next. For those of us who believe in Jesus, will see him again, at the resurrection at the last day, and we’ll be with him forever. And because of that, we can rejoice.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2

Let start living with an eternal focus NOW.

LAST DAYS GOG/MAGOG WAR

Are we seeing the stage being set for the “last days” war of Gog (Leader/Prince/King) of the land of Magog (uttermost parts, north of Israel, Russia) outlined in Ezekiel 38 & 39? Gog forms an alliance with Persia (Iran) Ezekiel 38:5 and ” it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring you against my land (Israel)” Ezekiel 38:16.  The other countries in the alliance to come against Israel are Sudan, Libya, Turkey and some of the -stan (Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc) countries (all Muslim).

Iran marks anniversary of Islamic Revolution with missiles, burning of flags

Iran celebrated the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in 2019 by stressing its hatred towards the US and Israel.

Millions took to the streets across Iran to mark the 39th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in a show of violent force.

Listen to Joel Rosenberg present how he got involved in prophecy writing and specifically on Ezekiel 38 & 39. I am convinced that this call by God to write on Ezekiel 38 & 39 at this time in history is authentic and further proof we are in the “end times”. You will need 1 hour 15 minutes but I hope you will be challenged to look at these prophetic Scriptures more closely.

Do I espouse everything that Joel Rosenberg teaches? No, I don’t, especially a Pretribulation Rapture. I believe a Prewrath Rapture (at the end of the sixth seal) best fits Scripture. Moreover, I believe the Gog/Magog war is the final war at the end of the 70th week of Daniel. It takes place when Jesus comes back with the saints for the battle of Armageddon. Jesus then begins His Millennial reign from a restored Jerusalem. Joel believes the Gog/Magog war will take place before the seven years of tribulation (70th week of Daniel). Also, I expect the Antichrist to be Mahdi, the Messiah figure expected by all Muslims. However, one possibility promoted by Chris White is a false Jewish Messiah.  It won’t go away, so I am still asking the Holy Spirit to give clarification. All in His good timing. Joel still believes he will be European, even a Roman. Let me know what you think the Holy Spirit is revealing to you as you study these prophetic Scriptures.

GOD CAN USE EVEN YOU – READ MICHAEL TODD’S STORY

God is using Michael Todd big time, but Michael has no allusions that he is the one doing it and he rightly gives the glory to God.

Todd says he has no illusions that his church’s success can be attributed to savvy marketing, great technological design or his own inspired preaching. In fact, he says his entire testimony served as a test of obedience: Was he willing to obey God even when it didn’t make sense or match his own life plans?

His involvement at his parents’ small house church began after his mother called him on the phone and informed him, “God told me you’re supposed to do something with the youth of this church.” Todd tried to politely refuse—even suggesting that maybe she had misheard God, who meant to use one of her other sons. After all, Todd had never preached or taught from the Bible. But his mom would not be swayed. The next week, Todd became the youth pastor of his parents’ church. There were only seven youth present: three of his brothers, three god brothers and god sister, and one other person. (The church itself had only 15 members.) Todd called the ministry “SO FLY,” an acronym for “Sold Out Free Life Youth.”

“I had never prepared a message or done anything like that,” Todd says. “But God told me four things before I walked in there. He said, ‘Be real. Tell on yourself. Don’t judge them. And love them first.’ And that was my instructional guide into ministry.”

Six months later, Todd says SO FLY had 150 young adults attending weekly. SO FLY had no flashy sound system or game systems. The youth group was 150 young people “literally in a room in a circle,” Todd says.

Today, he recognizes it was a spiritual phenomenon, it was real church, but at the time, he says he didn’t take it that seriously. He didn’t even study or prepare message notes; he just showed up every week planning to share what was going on in his life, talk about the Bible and try to relate to the kids. He says he focused on the four tenets God taught him before his first night of SO FLY. That meant confessing his own sins to the group at times—including pornography addiction and emotional manipulation—and sharing how Jesus personally transformed him every day. He believes that raw, uncomfortable honesty is the real reason young people responded to him.

“I think people are drawn to authenticity,” Todd says. “We have a saying around here: ‘It’s not about perfection; it’s about progression.’ So that gives people license to mess up and be like, ‘It’s my bad. I messed up, but I’m going to get better.’ And I think hearing that from somebody who holds the office of a pastor—when most pastors [project perfection]—is just refreshing to people. … How many pastors or small group leaders actually confess what they’ve done—not in an ethereal story or in an ‘I know a guy’ story? That’s how the Bible tells us we overcome. Yes, it’s by the blood of the Lamb—that’s what God did and what Jesus did on the cross—but then by the words of our testimony. And I think that’s what’s missing today.”

You will need to listen to the Podcast to learn how one of Todd’s sermons got posted on YouTube and went viral. It was certainly not Michael’s’ doing.

Michael now has a huge following on the Internet and it is interesting to read what he has to say about its use by God.

“The first thing you have to know is the internet has changed everything,” Todd says. “And [in some ways], the last thing it has touched is the church—because we want to keep our traditions. I really do believe the Great Commission is to go into all the world and make disciples, but I don’t think we could have done that in a healthy way until now, with the internet. There’s no way I could be a good father and a good husband and all this other stuff, and also go into the world and make disciples. Even if you’re [focusing] only on your house and your neighborhood, that’s still a huge undertaking. But I believe God’s given us the internet … for great good.”

Todd has chosen to obey—and God blessed his ministry beyond his wildest expectations. He spoke to Charisma about his testimony, why the next generation has latched onto his approach to preaching the gospel and how pastoral responsibilities are shifting in the internet age.

Todd never wanted to be a pastor. In fact, as a teenager, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to be a Christian. Though he grew up in a Christian home, he says he never had an authentic relationship with God until his late teenage years. Before then, he says he was primarily raised and discipled by BET and MTV. The church didn’t have answers for the problems he and his peers were going through.

“I messed up so much because I didn’t have an example,” Todd says. “The only rule we were given was, ‘Don’t have sex before you get married.’ Well, what happens when you’ve done that? What happens when the locker room introduced you to pornography? … The church has been so silent about that. In recent years, they’ve started talking about it, but even then, the church is so PG when our middle school locker rooms are R-rated and X-rated. … So what ends up happening is we’re trying to spend the rest of our lives undoing what was presented first.”

That feeling of being failed by the church as a teenager is part of why Todd says he’s so passionate about helping teenagers and young adults today. He says he wishes he’d had a relatable, young mentor like himself when he was struggling with his faith.

EARTHQUAKES INCREASING EXACTLY AS PROPHESIED PRIOR TO JESUS RETURN

Multiples volcanoes erupting around the world along with hundreds of quakes striking near or under lava craters. No doubt, Covid 19 is the reason this seismic activity is not being given any attention by mainstream media.

Multiples volcanoes erupting around the world along with hundreds of quakes striking near or under lava craters

There are currently 26 volcanoes erupting around the world and 13 showing enhanced activity. More than 100 earthquakes have been reported near or at volcanic peaks… Well the Ring is on Fire!

The Ring of Fire is currently heating up. There are 26 erupting volcanoes, 13 showing enhanced signs of explosion and 45 in unrest…

Moreover, many earthquakes happen right under or near volcanoes probably announcing movement of magma or magma chamber refill. Yes more than 100 have happened as of July 14th, 2020.

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Jesus privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them,

“…. and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:3-14

THREE ANGELS DELIVER THE FINAL PROCLAMATION OF THE GOSPEL

Then I (John) saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.Revelation 14:6-7

TAKEN CAPTIVE THROUGH PHILOSOPHY AND EMPTY DECEPTION

“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truththe teachings of] Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]” (Colossians 2:8 -9 AMP).

Political correctness is a control issue and a bullying tactic, used by the politically left special interest groups, and their fake news media outlets, to oppose and oppress free speech and religious freedom. They quickly label anyone and everyone who disagrees with their unnatural, crazy worldview, as a bigot, racist, and every other derogatory name they can come up with.

You know we live in a mad, crazy, politically correct world, when the natural is unnatural and the unnatural is natural; when right is wrong and wrong is right; when normal is abnormal and abnormal is normal. In this world, God does not exist or if acknowledged is powerless and homosexuality, trans genders, same sex marriage are all acceptable lifestyle choices. God’s laws on sexuality and morality are unacceptable.

The further down the political correctness road you go, the further away you get from common sense. God has given each of us a conscience. In our hearts we know what is right and wrong but a rebellious spirit is increasingly evident in society. This should not come as a surprise to Christians that rightly discern the Word of God. Godlessness, lawlessness will abound in the last days before Jesus returns. Moreover, even though Jesus and glorified saints are ruling here on the earth during the Millennium. Scripture tells us they need to do so with a “rod of iron”. People, at least some, will still be rebellious not wanting to submit to God’s laws, God’s commandments. It appears the Millennium is a transitional period, the curse has not been totally lifted off the earth as people still die and people will still need to repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour in order to inherit eternal life. We know Satan is bound for most of the thousand years but he is released at the end and is still able to assemble a great army to come against Jesus. The following Scripture reveals the outcome.

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.Revelation 20:7-10

Judgment Before the Great White Throne

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15

The New Heaven and the New Earth

” Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:1-4

FOUNDATION OF THE CHURCH BUILT UPON APOSTLES AND PROPHETS

The bible says that the foundation of the church is built upon apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone.

You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22

Today’s religious system has primarily built churches on the three offices modern believers are comfortable with—pastors, teachers, and evangelists; as powerful as that is, this is not the foundation Christ established. Why? One reason can be found in a simple definition of the word apostle and prophet. The word apostle relates to a mission or sent one, and the word prophet relates to some type of vision. We need prophets and prophecy because it is how God chose to build his church.

“In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 2:28

God’s plan all along was a generation of sons and daughters that could hear his voice, see like He sees, feel His heart, and know what to do.

God has made it possible through the love of the Father, the sacrifice of Christ, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to empower every human being so that they can share in fulfilling the prayer Christ taught us to pray that God’s will might be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Worth repeating: God the Father through the atoning work of Jesus has provided all believers with the indwelling Holy Spirit to equip us all for the good works He has preordained for us to do. He wants us all to be armed and equipped with a mission and a vision.

“Why am I on this earth?” is one of the great questions of life. God has made it possible with the indwelling Holy Spirit to not only know the answer to that question but to be empowered to carry out the work He wants us to do.

However, each day we need to submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Just as Jesus said to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Not My will, but Your will be done”, likewise, we need to submit daily to the Holy Spirit so that we don’t grieve Him or quench His work in our lives

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-20

Let me give a plug for my book to those of you who are called to business – Build a Kingdom Business – Empowered by the Holy Spirit, It is available on Amazon as a ebook or from me (ron@bakb.com.au) as a trade paperback book.

IS WHAT I BELIEVE TRUE?

I CAN’T THINK OF ANYTHING MORE TRAGIC THAN LIVING LIFE WITH A FALSE SENSE OF REALITY.

I am certain God exists because I have the Holy Spirit resident in my spirit. The Holy Spirit came to be my counsellor, teacher and comforter when I repented of my godless lifestyle, recognised who Jesus is and what He had accomplished for me by dying on the Cross.

God has revealed in His Word why this world is as it is with pain, death and suffering. True history reveals that God is involved in this worlds events. The extent of man’s rebellion against God was revealed when God destroyed all of mankind except one family that He preserved on a massive boat. The fossil record – dead things buried all over the world including fossil fuels demonstrates the truth of God’s judgement with a world wide flood.

Next God established the nations and caused them to disseminate throughout the world when He created new languages for each people group at Babel. There is no other sensible explanation for the languages or existence of tribes and nations.

God then established Israel as His nation to show the world His rules for fallen mankind living on His planet. At the outset, Israel knew that God would bless them if they obeyed but would judge them if they disobeyed (blessings and curses). God gave them His calendar with appointed Feast Days and the design for a Temple where sacrifices were to be offered as an atonement for sin. These sacrifices were but a foreshadow of God’s son, Jesus, ultimate sacrifice to provide a way for mankind to come back into a relationship with our heavenly Father.

JESUS entered history at the appointed time to establish His church and to divide history into BC and AD.

Israel has clearly demonstrated mankind’s inability to live according to God’s Laws and of course God knew that beforehand. Moses prophesied this would be the case prior to Israel even going into the Promised Land. He said they would be scattered throughout the nations and that only prior to Jesus return to this earth would Israel be regathered and reestablished as a nation ready for Jesus to rule and reign with a rod of iron for 1000 years. Israel’s very existence is proof God exists.

Ultimately, the belief that is true will be consistent with the real world and the one which is untrue will present a view of life that is not in harmony with reality. The paradigm that this world evolved from nothing by chance is a view of life that is not in harmony with reality. Nothing comes from nothing and this complex world where DNA (a word made up of many letters) is the building block of all living things reveals that God’s Word reveals the truth.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5

In this brief treatise on world history showing when God intervened to control the outcome, I have made no mention of God’s adversary Satan and his involvement to upset God’s plan for mankind. Satan deceives mankind. His ultimate aim is their destruction. However, he was created by God. He is a spiritual being in rebellion against God and is unable to do anything outside of God’s control. We need to understand that when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and followed Satan’s lead they gave their sovereignty of this earth to him. If we do not repent and except God’s forgiveness through Jesus sacrifice on our behalf then we continue to be under the authority of Satan and will do evil continually.

What is your world view does it line up with reality?
