SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE FOR A YOUNG EARTH

Is the earth billions of years old or six thousand as the Bible claims? Is it important?

Suffering and death before Adam is a major problem. Death and suffering in the world was the result of Adam and Eve’s SIN. This new short video is excellent and will give you ammunition to handle these questions. For more information you need to go to http://www.creation.com.

STUDY SILENCED FOR SUGGESTING KIDS BECOME TRANSGENDER DUE TO SOCIAL INFLUENCE

A mainstream study by a Brown University professor is under fire from transgender advocates for suggesting that some children become transgender due to social pressure or influence, and not because they are born that way.

The study by Lisa Littman, an assistant professor of the practice of behavioral and social sciences at Brown’s School of Public Health, was published in PLOS ONE. Brown University since has pulled a press release about the study, according to the magazine Science. The study examined why some children experience transgenderism, which is sparked by a condition known as “gender dysphoria.”

“In on-line forums,” Littman wrote in the study, “parents have been reporting that their children are experiencing what is described here as ‘rapid-onset gender dysphoria,’ appearing for the first time during puberty or even after its completion.”

The gender dysphoria among the children “seemed to occur in the context of belonging to a peer group where one, multiple, or even all of the friends have become gender dysphoric and transgender-identified during the same timeframe.”

In other words, these children identified as transgender only because their friends did, according to the study.

“Parents also report that their children exhibited an increase in social media/internet use prior to disclosure of a transgender identity,” Littman wrote.

She surveyed 250 parents of children who suddenly developed gender dysphoria and found that “21 percent of parents reported their child had one or more friends become transgender-identified at around the same time,” according to the now-pulled Brown University press release.

Bess Marcus, dean of Brown’s School of Public Health, wrote in a statement that he had heard from university community members who argued the study “could be used to discredit efforts to support transgender youth and invalidate the perspectives of members of the transgender community.”

“[W]e believe firmly that it is also incumbent on public health researchers to listen to multiple perspectives and to recognise and articulate the limitations of their work,” Marcus wrote.

God will not tolerate children being deceived and abused this way. His return is imminent at which time His wrath is poured out on the unrepentant. Make sure you are in the centre of God’s will for your life right now, if you are unsure, get on your knees in prayer. Much of the denominational church is apostate, accepting the world’s take on transgenderism and gay marriage, so come out from them. Find a group of like minded believers and do church as in the Book of Acts. There are plenty of Home Church Groups you can connect with e.g wearechurch.com (Francis Chan)

APPALLING END-TIMES APOSTASY

As these last days intensify the spiritual battle, let us predetermine that no matter what we face we will not reject our faith nor renounce Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who lived, died, and is coming again for those who confess him and believe in Him (Rom. 10:9-11) as our Saviour and Lord. Let us encourage one another to keep the commandments of God and our testimony of faith in Jesus the Christ (Rev. 2:13; 12:17; 14:12).

This article by Gary Curtis from Charisma News on the Roman Catholic Church, indicates that many amongst the faithful, recognise that the unfolding horrific sex scandals and cover ups in the leadership, are prophesied “end times” events revealed in the Catholic Catechism and Scripture. Great teaching from Jude.

“The Roman Catholic Church is going through another season of sexual scandals, appalling cover-ups and indefensible hypocrisy. Last month’s salacious Grand Jury report in Pennsylvania, revealed 300 clergy and church officials in 1,000 child-abuse cases, this scandal may trace to the very Vatican, itself. It is reported that the root of this tragic series of revelations is active, aggressive homosexuality, apparently practised by some church leaders and candidates.

The disappointment, discouragement and disillusionment of faithful adherents has grown to unprecedented new levels. Some church officials have even publicly questioned if this may be the “final trial” in the end-times, which they have studied in Scripture and taught about in catechisms and seminaries.

The Catholic catechism confirms a major, future heresy in the church: “Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers…in the form of a religious deception which will be one of apostasy” (CCC 675).

The apostle Paul told the believers in Thessalonica that the season of God’s wrath (Rev. 6:12-17), known prophetically throughout the Old Testament as the Day of the Lord, won’t come until “a falling away comes first (2 Thess. 2:3).” The Greek word used is apostasia, and means a defection, rejection or rebellion against God. It is preceded in the original text with a definite article, “the,” stressing a specific apostasy, as taught by Jesus in Matthew 24.

Paul’s first letter to the saints in that Gentile church explained that God has not destined believers to incur His end-times wrath (1 Thess. 5:9) “but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” Someone has clarified it, saying “He did not select us to condemn us.” Whether we are still alive or dead physically at Christ’s appearing, true believers will spiritually live together with Him and share His life eternally (v.10).

The short, 25-verse epistle of St. Jude appeals to those who were truly “called by God” (v. 1) to “contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints (v. 3).” It is focused on urging them to discern the false teachers and leaders among them who were immoral, covetous, proud and divisive. These false leaders are actually “ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into immorality (v. 4 b).” There are several lessons we can learn from this small, instructive, and timely epistle.

  1. Religious authorities may actually “pervert the grace of our God into immorality” and thereby derail the faith of many, victimising others by their own debauchery and perversion. The Greek word for “immorality” here is aselgeia and usually implies sexual licentiousness. It is found in a list of vices, together with other words for sexual immorality like orgies, adultery and fornication (see Rom. 13:13; Gal. 5:19-21). Those who practice such works of the flesh will be unable to “inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:21).
  2. The apostate religious leaders in Jude’s day not only destroyed their own morals but also their minds and status with God. Instead of living with the destiny of the highest order of God’s creation, they reverted to animal instincts, acting on unrestrained sexual impulses. Ordained to represent man to God, their licentious lifestyles corrupted their character and natural gifts (Jude 10). Jude related poetically about their empty and wasted lives: “[they] care only for themselves. They are clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, uprooted; raging waves of the sea, which are foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom the gloom of darkness has been kept forever (12b-13).”
  3. The only things which will stand in the face of the onslaught of apostasy in the last days will be the preservation of truth and morality by submitting to the teachings of the apostles. Verse 15 begins a series of warnings and exhortations. Jude warns that our Lord is coming to execute judgement and convince or convict the godless of their wicked ways and words. “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires. These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit (vv. 18-19).” Being “devoid of the Spirit,” their motivations and methods are worldly-minded or humanistic.
  4. We need to maintain our personal, spiritual disciplines and devotion, while we continue to “contend earnestly for the faith” in this polluted and godless world. Jude exhorts us to “…build yourselves up in your most hold faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life (vv. 20, 21).” We are humanly weak in the face of spiritually-apostate opposition. But the gap can be overcome if we draw wisdom and strength from the Holy Spirit. Paul teaches us that the Spirit brings both clarity and courage, for “the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words” (Rom. 8:26). Paul taught the Corinthians about praying in a Spirit-initiated, unknown tongue to enable them (and us) to communicate effectively with God and edify ourselves in the process (1 Cor. 14:2-4). This private prayer language leads us into the “mind of the Spirit,” as He intercedes for us “according to the will of God (Rom. 8:27).”
  5. Jude reminds us that these last days provide us with even more mission and ministry. We may face opposition within the church and even persecution from these defectors from the faith and we must use discernment as we continue to “contend earnestly for the faith.” Jude encourages us to “keep ourselves in the love of God (v.21) and try to convince those who “deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ” of the truth with God-given compassion and concern, “pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh (v. 23).”
  6. Jude concludes this epistle with a memorable benediction, reminding the readers that our eternal God is “able to keep you from falling.” This word “falling” is translated from the Greek word aptaistos and is often used to describe a surefooted horse that does not stumble. It teaches us here that God is able to keep us from stumbling into doctrinal error or unintentional sin. (See Ps. 66:9 and 121:3.)

PROOF POSITIVE WE ARE IN THE “LAST DAYS”

‘USA Today’ Warns: You Will Get Microchipped

At one time, the notion that the general population would be microchipped someday was a “conspiracy theory”, but now the mainstream media is coming right out and telling us that we will all get chipped. It is almost as if they are trying to mentally condition us to accept what is coming. Of course it is being portrayed as “cool” and “trendy,” and a lot of people will be fooled by that.

Last month, USA Today published an article entitled “You will get chipped — eventually.” The following is a short excerpt… You will get chipped. It’s just a matter of time. In the aftermath of a Wisconsin firm embedding microchips in employees last week to ditch company badges and corporate log-ons, the Internet has entered into full-throated debate.

Obviously societal attitudes are changing, and a professor interviewed by USA Todayis quite confident that it “will happen to everybody.”

“It will happen to everybody,” says Noelle Chesley, 49, associate professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. “But not this year, and not in 2018. Maybe not my generation, but certainly that of my kids.”

Initially, implantable microchips will be touted as the wave of the future. We will be told that they will make our lives so much easier and more convenient, and the USA Today article made a big deal of that: This would go beyond paying with your smartphone. Instead, chipped customers would simply wave their hands in lieu of Apple Pay and other mobile-payment systems. The benefits don’t stop there. In the future, consumers could zip through airport scanners sans passport or driver’s license; open doors; start cars and operate home automation systems. All of it, if the technology pans out, with the simple wave of a hand.

The process of implanting the self-installed RFID (radio frequency identification) and NFC (near-field communication) transponders takes just a few seconds.

In Sweden, BioHax says nearly 3,000 customers have had its chip embedded to do many things, including ride the national rail system without having to show the conductor a ticket.

In the U.S., Dangerous Things, a Seattle-based firm, says it has sold “tens of thousands” of chips to consumers via its website. The chip and installation cost about $200.

After years of being a subculture, “the time is now” for chips to be more commonly used, says Amal Graafstra, founder of Dangerous Things. “We’re going to start to see chip implants get the same realm of acceptance as piercings and tattoos do now.”

For a long time, I have warned the “mark of the beast” was coming with previous posts. It amazes me how quickly acceptance of the microchip is becoming mainstream with some people are already willingly microchipping themselves. I hope this drives you to open your Bible, to look at the many end times prophecies which are unfolding in our time.

MORRISON’S PENTECOSTALISM A BLESSING FOR AUSTRALIA

AMAZING this article appeared in the AUSTRALIAN (secular press) this morning. Thank you LORD. The article is by Greg Sheridan Foreign Editor.

Illustration: Eric Lobbecke.

Scott Morrison is probably the first leader of a significant Western nation to be a faithful member of a Pentecostal Christian church. It has been widely reported that he worships at the Horizon Pentecostal church in Sydney’s Sutherland (I live just 8Km/5m from this church). There have been national leaders in Africa and very prominent politicians in other parts of the world who have been Pentecostals, but not before in a big Western nation.

On that basis, we should celebrate the Prime Minister’s advancement as a further sign of pluralism and diversity in Australia. Indeed, as usual Australia leads the world in some elements of diversity. Our top three positions in government are now held by a Pentecostal PM, a Catholic deputy PM and a Jewish deputy Liberal leader. The fact this is all incidental to their politics and not in itself a big deal is a sign of what a sensible, good society we are at heart.

Nonetheless, it is also the case that the ambient culture is becoming ever more hostile to the belief and practice of Christianity. Morrison was right in parliament to foreshadow that he will be proactive in establishing much needed greater protection for religious freedom. This is good in substance and a popular position in the Coalition parties.

Morrison’s Menzies lecture was given almost in the style of an evangelical preacher and I thought it genuine and effective. Politicians govern on the basis of policy and competence but are also judged on character and personality. Communicating personality in a way that people relate to is beneficial, provided it’s genuine.

ScoMo is genuinely, among other things, a suburban churchgoer. Pentecostals are not well known or understood outside their own tradition. In my recent book, God is Good for You, I write at length about Australian Pentecostals. Let me therefore confess a bias: I like and admire the Pentecostals. In Australia, and around the world, the Pentecostals are one of the most dynamic movements in Christianity.

They are completely mainstream and their doctrine is orthodox in Christian terms and Bible-based. Things that people like about them very much are a tradition of great music, a positive, cheerful outlook and an energy about their worship and their corporate personality. Like all Christian movements, like all human movements, they’ve had their scandals, but that just proves they’re human like everyone else.

Pentecostal theology centres on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the central passage in the New Testament that inspires Pentecostals comes in Acts of the Apostles: “When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue raised on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.”

Pentecostals are a Christian denomination, rapidly growing with more than a half-billion followers worldwide, and a movement within many denominations.

Modern Pentecostalism grew out of a little, impoverished, mixed-race church in Azusa Street, Los Angeles, in 1906. It was led by an African-American pastor, William Seymour, a son of freed slaves. This certainly has the right Christian feel about it as the starting point of a big revival.

One of the features that most propels Pentecostal success, I think, is its emphasis on experience rather than intellectualising. This can make its church services emotional and uplifting.

The most controversial aspects of Pentecostalism are traditionally speaking in tongues and faith healing. But almost all Christians of all denominations pray for the sick and accept that occasionally their prayers are answered. Speaking in tongues happens a lot in the New Testament. Pentecostals believe speaking in tongues is the Holy Spirit enabling them to pray. A sceptic may view it as a kind of free-range vocalisation of the sentiment of prayer. There is certainly nothing in it of superstition or of the sinister.

Pentecostals are generally different from evangelicals. The latter typically define themselves by the act of being born again, their adherence to the inerrancy of scripture and the need to actively proclaim the faith. Pentecostals would share much of that and add the need to be baptised again in the Spirit. They have had a lot of success recruiting young people.

Happily, the old hostilities and rivalries between different Christian denominations have substantially disappeared. The differences now tend to be between those who accept the traditional, orthodox teachings of Christianity — such as the physical resurrection of Christ — and those who interpret all such teachings symbolically or allegorically.

My taste in church music tends towards Gregorian chant. But if I’d paid good money to attend any of the Pentecostal services I’ve been to just for the quality of the rock music, I would have no complaints. Because Pentecostals have been using modern communications techniques to deliver a very traditional message for a long time, they’re good at it.

Traditional message, modern communications. A fertile mix.

HOW EASY IT IS TO GET TRIPPED UP BY SIN

Image result for pictures of king solomon's throne

For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord, as did his father David. Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon. And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

Ashtoreth:  Female goddess worship, over-exaltation of women power.
Milcom:  National god.  Worship of political power.
Chemosh:  The god of SELF focus.  False confidence, audacity, worship of the temple itself.
Molech:  Required the sacrifice of your very own children.
What an abomination this must have been to God and of course we know that it was because of Solomon’s disobedience that the entire nation of Israel was rent in two after his death.

Thank goodness we have this stark example of the dangers of worldly treasures, the WISEST human in all of history turns away from God because of them. It should force us to our knees to ask God to protect us not only from the evil one but from our own selfish evil desires.

Sin is toxic.  Sin is the equivalent of cancer in the Body of Christ. The same applies to our nations. Like cancer, it metastasises. As it progresses, the Body is ravaged and wasted.  If we were giving a medical prognosis:  We only have a certain amount of time left to live.  Sin cancer will lay us flat out.

Three helpful Scriptures:

“O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!”  Romans 7:24

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”Romans 8:1-2

“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.” Ephesians  5:17-21

HOW POWERFUL ARE TESTIMONIES

Testimonies of changed lives are powerful. Listen to Luke’s authentic testimony, hopefully it will challenge you to develop your own testimony to help change lives. Also, Luke stresses the importance of sound in depth teaching from God’s Word. and the power of prayer.

ESTABLISHMENT RAMPS UP EFFORTS TO IMPEACH TRUMP

This article by Greg Canavan, Editor, Crisis & Opportunity in Markets & Money an Australian publication, Port Phillip Publishing Pty Ltd shows a concerted campaign by the establishment to get rid of President Trump. I am interested to hear from a few US followers of this website whether they support the views expressed in Greg’s report. If they do, can I suggest they ramp up prayer support for him.

Yesterday, The New York Times ran an unprecedented anonymous op-ed against a sitting American President.

A White House ‘insider’ (so the NY Times says) wrote a scathing piece that paints Trump as some foaming at the mouth lunatic, out of control and destroying the country.

To understand this epic hit piece on Trump, you have to put it in context. I’ve mentioned this a few times before, but it bears repeating. Trump campaigned on a promise todrain the swamp’. That is, ridding Washington of its deeply entrenched corruption.

The establishment media plays a part in this corruption by publishing stories that come from anonymous sources and ‘high up officials’. This is not a conspiracy theory. It’s a fact.

Look up Operation Mockingbird. This was a CIA initiated program designed to have the media create narratives. Arthur Hays Sulzberger, owner of the New York Times, was an original participant. You can check out more info here if you’re sceptical.

So why did the NY Times run the piece yesterday?

There are a few reasons. Bob Mueller’s investigation into Trump’s alleged collusion with the Russians is going nowhere. In fact, it’s now surfacing that the Democrats and their deep state allies tried to frame Trump to bring about impeachment, although you won’t hear about that in the mainstream media.

NEW YORK, NY - JULY 06: Donald Trump attends the 2015 Hank's Yanks Golf Classic at Trump Golf Links Ferry Point on July 6, 2015 in New York City. (Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images)

Yesterday, Trump tweeted the single word, ‘TREASON?’ It was probably both in response to the article and the attempts to overthrow a democratically elected President.

As I’ve been saying for weeks, this is only going to continue to heat up. But if you don’t view it through the lens of what Trump is trying to do, you’ll get sucked into the mainstream media narrative. That is, that Trump is some deranged dictator.

Two more of Trump’s tweets in the past 24 hours give you an idea of the real battle going on.

I’m draining the swamp, and the swamp is trying to fight back. Don’t worry, we will win!’ and;

The Deep State and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy – & they don’t know what to do. The economy is booming like never before, Jobs are at Historic Highs, soon TWO Supreme Court Justices and maybe Declassification to find Additional Corruption. Wow!

Brett Kavanaugh, Trump’s nomination for the Supreme Court, is set to receive Senate approval. This should give Trump the numbers on the Supreme Court and make things very uncomfortable for Hillary Clinton, given her past history.

Trump IS draining the swamp. And the swamp critters don’t like it.

If he succeeds, it will be ultimately beneficial for the US and global economy. But there might be some considerable turbulence in the short-term. That’s why this story bears close watching.

PREWRATH ESCHATOLOGY SIMPLIFIED

Prewrath eschatology sees the Parousia as a complex-whole, where God will fulfil a variety of purposes:

  1. Beginning with the revelation of Christ in the sky displaying his shekinah glory and power to the whole world .
  2. Resurrection and rapture of God’s people.
  3. Immediately followed by the wrath of God poured out on the earth with the trumpet and bowl judgements. It is the day of the Lord’s judgements upon the ungodly and Antichrist’s kingdom. Duration is possibly 1 year and 10 days, same time as God poured out His wrath the first time during the days of Noah.
  4. Jesus return to this earth with the saints, restoring Israel to salvation which begins Christ’s earthly reign on this earth for a thousand years. Curse is not lifted off the entire earth. People still die. At the end of Jesus thousand year reign, Satan is released and deceives the nations and a final battle occurs which God ends with fire from heaven. Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire and God’s word says he, the beast and the false prophet will be tormented forever and ever.
  5. The Great White Throne Judgement is held in heaven after the dead unbelievers are raised to life.
  6. Unbelievers will be cast into the lake of Fire, which for them will be ultimately, after due punishment, the second death. “Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:14 Also Jesus said, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Only Satan and his minions face eternal torment in the Lake of Fire which was prepared for them. Matthew 25:41
  7. “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Revelation 21:2-5

THE CHURCH IN THE LAST DAYS

This article is taken from the book by John Burton – The Coming Church. It only confirms what I have been saying for a number of years now. The traditional institutional church must change if it is to be used by God in the “last days”.

The Coming Church, by John Burton

“We need a church on fire today more than ever. The lost are being introduced into lukewarm, natural, Ichabod religion instead of a supernatural shaking that can only come from the Great I Am. They are convinced they are saved as they are assimilated into a community of like minded quasi-spiritual people who would love to see God manifest in their natural realm—yet have no interest in manifesting in the spiritual realm where the Holy Spirit broods.

My challenge to pastors is simple: Risk everything. Allow your church to dwindle, if necessary, to a few remnant people who will live, pray, walk and advance in the Spirit. The world is waiting for them. (Francis Chan is a living example of a pastor who has accepted the challenge.)

We soon won’t be able to define going to church the way we do now. God is coming to reform, to crush structures of old for what is to be introduced very soon. Our call isn’t to stand strong until the shift comes, it’s to prophetically sound the alarm and awaken those at risk! God is coming! The force from Heaven, the celestial asteroid, is going to impact the Church, and most pastors and people will resist with everything that’s within them. Man-made support systems will be removed. People’s financial and relational structures will be threatened by this strange new spiritual invasion. The human wisdom and natural common sense that have been involved in the development of the current church structure will not be usable in the new. Those who walk by sight are in danger.

I’ve met countless pastors and others who say they are focused on revival, but who are misguided on exactly what it is. Their focus is on attracting people to the church, on people getting “saved” and on other church growth strategies.

The problem? The foundational pursuit of revival has nothing to do with church growth or the lost. It has everything to do with the church awakening, contending in intercession and attracting the fire of the Holy Spirit.

The lost didn’t show up in the upper room. Marginal followers of Jesus were repelled by the upper room. Acts 2:1-3

Revival isn’t marked by a full house. Revival starts in a room that reveals the remnant. The revival that erupted in that roomful of remnants resulted in explosive church growth and kingdom advance.

The pure Christian message of surrender, repentance, holiness, intercession and rescuing souls from hell has been replaced by a self-centred gospel that boldly affirms a focus on benefits without cost, on personal gain without sacrifice, on freedom without consecration. The Church has been unapologetically and boldly focused on how to have faith to receive while forsaking the call to have faith to give. The spirit of the age infiltrated churches long ago—and now, all too often, that demonic spirit is the primary counsellor.”
