CHURCHES THAT WILL TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES – Part 1

When our pastors recognise they are called to a city not a church and are touched by what God sees in our cities -the pain and the suffering, then we might see transformation of communities. When they see their priority is to train up disciples that will go into their marketplace with the Good News, to bring God’s Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven, then we will see communities transformed.

Movement Australia is preaching this message. Listen to the highlights of the recent Movement Day Australia 2018 and be encouraged.

ERDOGAN CALLS FOR ANOTHER EMERGENCY PAN-ISLAMIC MEETING AGAINST ISRAEL AND US ‘TERROR STATES’

“He shall be a wild ass of a man; His hand against everyone, And everyone’s hand against him; He shall dwell alongside of all his kinsmen.” Genesis 16:12

The descendants of Ishmael are acting exactly as predicted in Biblical prophesy. Erdogan is intent on reestablishing the Ottoman Empire when Turkey ruled all of the surrounding Muslim countries. Moreover, of all the Muslim countries it is the most powerful, with an army of 350,000 active personnel and 360,500 reserve personnel and its Air Power similar in numbers to Israel.

The Turkish president called for an emergency session of of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul to be held on Friday to discuss the situation in Gaza. A massive anti-Israel rally is also scheduled to be held concurrently in Taksim Square in Istanbul.

On Monday, a six week Hamas-led protest-turned-riot culminated with 35,000 Palestinians challenging the security fence and approximately 60 Palestinians killed. Erdogan was quoted in the press as saying that Israel is a “a terror state” that has committed “a genocide.”

“Israel is wreaking state terror,” Erdogan said in a speech to Turkish students in London broadcast by state television. “Israel is a terror state. What Israel has done is a genocide. I condemn this humanitarian drama, the genocide, from whichever side it comes, Israel or America.”

The Middle East Media Research Institute, released a compilation of videos following Monday’s confrontations that give a much different perspective.

The videos show members of the tire-burning and wire-cutting units saying their highest aspiration is to die for the sake of Allah, to cut the Zionist enemy’s main barbed-wire fence and take it down with “the fingernails of their children.'”

One tribal leader declared that the Palestinian people will liberate its land with blood, women and children.

Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon called this a Palestinian cycle of death. “First, they incite people to violence. Then, they place as many civilians as possible – including women and children – in the line of fire to maximise civilian casualties. Then they blame Israel, and then they come here to complain to the UN,” Danon said.

Also, undaunted, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Erdogan , issuing a statement that “Erdogan is among Hamas’s biggest supporters and there is no doubt that he well understands terrorism and slaughter. I suggest that he not preach morality to us.”

There is only one possible end to the Satanic inspired hatred of the Jews and it is prophesied in God’s Word.

TIME TO STEP UP AS ESTHER DID AND SERVE GOD

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?Esther 4:14

A timeless verse from the Book of Esther continually challenges us to step up when we are called upon to take action. Note: Mordecai understood that God would save the Jewish people from Haman’s devious plot to destroy the Jews. God did not need Esther, but this was her opportunity to show her love to God and her people as well as her trust in God’s provision.

Jesus said, during the “last days” it would be like the days of Noah. “The lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart were evil continually.” Genesis 6:5

How the flood gates have opened with same-sex marriage. Listen to what the Executive Director of Unharm, an organisation that aims to make drug use as positive, ethical and as safe as it can be.

Learning from the same-sex marriage example , we need acoming out’ movement for people who use drugs. We need to show that you can use drugs and live a flourishing, socially integrated life. We can change culture and laws through a movement that starts with visibility and defiance. And in the face of discriminatory and failing drug control regime, we need to do that now.” Will Tregoning (B.A.and PhD in Cultural Studies Sydney University)

PROPHESIED LAST DAYS EVENTS – PROOF THE BIBLE IS INFALLIBLE AND INERRANT

The California Assembly approved a bill 50-18 that tells churches and other[s] with traditional beliefs about gender and sexual orientation that advocating for their views could get them sued.

AB 2943, declares ‘advertising, offering to engage in or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual’ is illegal under state’s consumer fraud law.” Note carefully the vote in the Assembly was 50 to 18 in favour of the bill. Talk about insane.

On April 17, David French noted that this bill “would actually—among other things—ban the sale of books expressing orthodox Christian beliefs about sexual morality. “Yes, ban the sale of books. What about banning the best selling book of all time – The Bible?

Perhaps those truly born again in the church will now see the utter intolerance of the radical left, but we know from Scripture that in the last days there will be a great falling away in the church. Jesus said, that even the elect will be deceived.

Thank goodness for Bible Prophecy, which besides being the ultimate truth of Holy Spirit inspiration of God’s Word, it tells us that when we see the events that are unfolding in our time, that we are approaching the last seven years prior to Jesus return (Daniels 70th Week). In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus tells us that Christians will experience tribulation and even see the Antichrist, “Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place ” (Matthew 24:15).

Are we ready? Is the church even talking about these end times prophecies and the coming tribulation?

TIME TO FIGHT: PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD

Paul says fight the good fight of faith and I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

As darkness increases, we need to put on the full armour of God, says Jonathan Cahn. Listen to how God gave Jonathan this important message for these “last days”

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD, DAILY

TRANSFORMATION POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Ex-Trans Woman’s Bold Testimony Lights Up Internet:

A man formerly living as a transgender woman has given his powerful testimony of how he came to exchange his life of homosexual promiscuity for following Jesus Christ. Jeffrey McCall, who organised the “Freedom March” in D.C. this weekend, spent years living as a woman named “Scarlet.” Then, God spoke to him, and everything changed.

Despite many secular media outlets reporting that the march was advocating “conversion therapy” McCall set the record straight. “This freedom march was about the transformation power of the holy spirit,” he declared.

I was living as a female,” McCall told the crowd at the march, which gathered together ex-gay and transgender people who have chosen to live lives of chastity to honour Christ, as reported by LifeSite News.

McCall further explained that when he was younger, he went to see a psychiatrist and was on the verge of undergoing gender transitioning surgeries.

“One night I was secretly listening to a preacher in my apartment,” McCall continued.  “I called out to the Lord, and asked, ‘Will I ever live for you? … I’ve seen real people live for you … not just going to church; They have relationships with you, and they have peace and joy.”

“I had wanted to kill myself,” McCall continued in his testimony.  “I was spiritually bankrupt; I was destitute.”

Then, at that moment, McCall knew he “was being convicted by the Holy Spirit that there is so much more than [what] I had been a part of.”

McCall decided it was time to make a choice.

“‘If I follow you, it will be all the way.  I don’t do things half-way.  I didn’t do things half-way in the world;  I’m not going to do things half-way with you,’” he told the Lord. “And so I took all my life as Scarlett and I went to a dumpster and threw it all away—the clothes, the hair, the make-up, the jewelry, the shoes, my whole identity—I threw it away to follow Jesus.”

Now living a life for the glory of Jesus Christ, McCall concluded his testimony with a prayer, urging others to give commit their lives to the Lord.

“Father God … I thank you that the lies and deception that have been placed on our country are about to begin to break.  Lives will be transformed today. People will see, through the telling of our stories, the power of the Gospel, the power of the blood of Jesus Christ,” he prayed.

A WORLD THAT SHUNS TRUTH AND CLARITY

When it comes to morality, sexuality, and identity, feelings and preferences are increasingly replacing facts and truth. Author Abdu Murray sounds the alarm at the confusion being embraced and even celebrated around us.

How can Christians offer truth and clarity to a world that shuns both? Murray challenges Christians to consider how they have played a part in fostering the Culture of Confusion. And he equips us to respond to those enmeshed in a post—truth mindset with integrity, respect, and a gospel clarity that offers hope and truth in our post—truth culture.

Oxford’s announcement of post-truth as its 2016 Word of the Year received mixed reactions, but some instinctively claimed post-truth as a positive development, the means to forge one’s own destiny free of the shackles of tradition, facts and even logic.

Abdu Murray says, “POST TRUTH has two modes. First is the soft mode. In this soft mode of post truth, the truth exists objectively but our subjective feelings and opinions matter more.

The Second mode is the hard mode – a willingness to propagate blatant falsehoods knowing they’re false because doing so will serve a higher social or political agenda.

Both are troubling and both appear to be growing more pervasive but perhaps the soft mode is the more dangerous. Abdu explains, Post Modernism which emerged in the 70’s was a rejection of the notion of objective truth – “What’s true for you may not necessarily be true for me. ” was a typical saying. Or they might say, “There is no such thing as objective truth.” Both statements are self-defeating and unlivable. Yet despite its incoherence, Post Modernism was quite resilient and remained influential in the West for decades. Its lustre has finally faded but where postmodernism failed because it was inherently incoherent, the post-truth mindset may succeed because it is not. It faces the problem of truth head-on.

The Post-Truth mindset acknowledges objective truth but subordinates it to preferences. In a Post-Truth age, if the evidence fits our preferences and opinions, then all is well and good. If it doesn’t, then the evidence is deemed inadmissible, offensive, even dangerous, these being a solvent against sound arguments.’

We are seeing this in laws now against any attempt to convert homosexuals back to heterosexual behaviour. It is a jail able offence.

Read what Luis Javier Ruiz had to say, who survived the June 2016 massacre at the Pulse nightclub,

“You are His creation, you are His child, no matter what you’re going through. And I believe that as soon as you forget about everything and fall in love with Christ deeply, everything is going to change. It’s going to cause you to come out [of the LGBTQ life], and His perfect love that will cast out fear, and boldness.”

ONCE AGAIN PRESIDENT TRUMP IS GOD’S MAN TO ACHIEVE HIS PURPOSES

North Korea released three hostages on Wednesday, including a pastor, in a good will gesture after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Franklin Graham recognised who was responsible for this miracle.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is greeted by Korean officials.
ABC News reports the hostages Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak Song and Kim Sang Duk, who is also known as Tony Kim, have been detained in North Korea for more than a year.

Kim’s family issued a statement through their lawyer, Randall Brandt, after his release was made public.

“We want to thank all of those who have worked toward and contributed to his return home. We also want to thank the president for engaging directly with North Korea. Mostly, we thank God for Tony’s safe return,” the statement said. “We appreciate all of the support and prayers of friends and even strangers during this challenging year. You are dear to our hearts. We ask that you continue to pray for the people of North Korea and for the release of all who are still being held.”

The move brought praises from around the globe, but especially within the Christian community. Some commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s firm hand toward the dictatorship.

BIBLICAL PROPHECY UNFOLDING IN OUR DAY

Iranian lawmakers burned a US flag and chanted “death to America” in parliament after Trump’s nuclear deal pullout.

The stage is being set for the prophesied “last days” war of Gog (Leader/Prince/King) of the land of Magog (uttermost parts, north of Israel) outlined in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Gog forms an alliance with Persia (Iran) Ezekiel 38:5 and ” it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring you against my land (Israel)” Ezekiel 38:16.  The other countries in the alliance to come against Israel are Sudan, Libya, Turkey and some of the -stan countries (Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc) countries (all Muslim).

US flag burn

The lawmakers, including a Shiite cleric, held the flaming flag alight as their colleagues joined their chants. They also burned a piece of paper representing the nuclear deal and stomped on the papers’ ashes. While US flag burning is common in Iran and harsh criticism of America has been a staple of Iranian parliamentary politics for years, it was the first time political observers could remember anything being burned inside the parliament itself.

Wednesday morning after the flag burning, parliament speaker Ali Larijani urged the country’s nuclear department to prepare for “resumption of all aspects of nuclear activities.”

Netanyahu lauded his American counterpart for withdrawing from the Iran deal, declaring that “Israel thanks President Trump for his courageous leadership.”

In a live address on Israeli television after Trump’s announcement of US withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, Netanyahu expressed “full support” for the president’s decision.

Netanyahu added, “as we exposed last week, since the deal, Iran intensified its efforts to hide its secret nuclear weapons program. So if you leave all of this unchanged, all this combined is a recipe for disaster, a disaster for our region, a disaster for the peace of the world.”

CAN YOU BE GAY AND CHRISTIAN?

Dr Michael Brown does a credible job of addressing this critical issue in this 6 1/2 minute video

It’s the question that’s dividing churches and separating family members. It’s the question that must be answered: Can you be gay and Christian?

Well, if you claim to be a Christian, that means Jesus is your Lord and the Bible is your authority, so the real question is: What does Jesus have to say about this? And what does the Bible—God’s Word—have to say? That’s what we need to find out.

Of course, we understand that every Christian struggles in some area, whether it be pride or anger or lust or jealousy or greed. But we also recognize that these desires and attitudes are sinful, and so we say no to them and yes to the Lord.

In the same way, some Christians struggle with same-sex attractions, saying no to those attractions and yes to the Lord. That’s their area of temptation and battle.

But what about those who say, “God made me gay, and if I’m in a committed relationship, the Lord is pleased. After all, God is love, and love wins. What the Bible opposes is abusive relationships like homosexual pederasty and prostitution and promiscuity. That’s what the Scriptures condemn. But the Lord blesses committed same-sex relationships.”

Is this true?

There’s only one way to answer this question. With humility, we must come to God and His Word and say, “Father, whatever You say, we will obey. We only want Your will.”

So, what does God’s Word have to say? Can you practice homosexuality and follow Jesus at the same time?

We’ve put together a six-minute video that answers this head-on, clarifying misunderstandings, dispelling myths and offering hope.

Can you be gay and Christian? You’ll find your answers in this video.
