GOD WILL GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.John 3:16-17

Step 1. You need to repent of your sin of rebellion against God and His commandments, accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, acknowledging the enormity of His sacrifice on the cross.

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.John 3:5

Step 2. You need to be baptised (evidence you have died to self and arisen a new person in Christ) and receive the Holy Spirit as your counsellor, teacher, helper and comforter; otherwise, you cannot live the Christian life.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you’, says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”  Jeremiah 29:11

Step 3. Know that God has a plan for your life, but you must allow the Holy Spirit to guide your every step. Do not grieve Him or quench His work in your life.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

GOD AT WORK IN SYDNEY

God is using Christ Forgiveness Ministries (CFM) in a major way in Sydney. The video below is streaming from Brighton Beach in Sydney of people being baptised in groups of at least ten at a time. This is just minutes from where I live.

Hundreds met at Kings Cross last night and marched the streets, past strip clubs and bars preaching Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I have never seen anything like it, all nationalities are represented, and all age groups including many young people.

This is just one of the groups that God is calling to go out on the streets and evangelize the lost. Make sure you connect with a like-minded group in your area.

CFM is embarking on a mission to set up Gospel Booths and Evangelists on every major street corner and plant CFM trained churches throughout the globe to both unite churches and that Christ will truly be present in our nation.

NEVER TOO OLD TO GET RIGHT WITH GOD

The video clip was first shared Sunday by Ryan Burton King, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Wood Green, London.

King said his brother, Regan Burton King — also a preacher — is the man featured in the clip.

“It has been an excellent day, but this video of my brother [Regan Burton King] baptizing a frail and elderly woman who is newly trusting in Christ, then picking her up and carrying her out of the baptismal pool, has made it,” King wrote. “Blessed be the Lord!”

The video shows King speaking to the woman before gently dunking her under the water. The pastor then hugged her and helped lift her out of the baptismal pool.

In a separate tweet of his own, Regan Burton King, the preacher in the video, said the 77-year-old woman’s name is Susan.

This previously agnostic new believer has been struggling with Parkinson’s disease, among other issues, but is “now trusting Jesus as Messiah and Lord of her life,” according to King.

PRAY, PRAY, PRAY

These were actress Candace Cameron Bure’s powerful words for fellow parents after her daughter’s baptism.

She said her heart was “overwhelmed by God’s goodness and grace” last Sunday after watching her daughter, Natasha Bure, publicly profess her faith through baptism.

Bure thanked Pastor Dudley Rutherford of Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, California, for baptizing her daughter

“As a mama, there’s nothing that tops this day. Nothing!” the “Fuller House” star wrote on Instagram:

“My three adult children have now all professed their faith, love, service, and devotion to Jesus Christ; Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world.”

She also said “walking the talk” is essential for parents’ own Christian journeys, especially as their kids observe. “How you handle the hardships in attitude and character by praying, submitting to God, and honoring the Lord in your decisions speaks volumes to your kids, even if you don’t think they see it at the time,” she said. “Be the example you wanted to have growing up. God is faithful, even when you aren’t.”

The actress added another essential reminder: “Read the Bible. And read the Bible to your children.”

Research has found Bible engagement is an essential indicator for children maintaining faith in adulthood.

And considering the mandate we see in Proverbs 22:6 — “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” Bure’s Scripture-based advice is essential for all parents.

IMPORTANCE OF BAPTISM AND PUBLIC TESTIMONY

Singer and actress Jana Kramer was baptized Sunday, and offered a touching proclamation on her Instagram page, writing that she has found “healing” in Jesus and now realizes she was “never alone.”

“I don’t have the words yet…I will…but for now… ‘In the name of Jesus, there is healing,’” Kramer wrote in her initial post. She then shared an emotional video of the baptism. You can find it on Instagram.

Christian celebrities and fans responded with encouraging and touching affirmations.

“Praise the Lord,” actress Candace Cameron Bure wrote. “And all the angels sang in Heaven and rejoiced! Praise His holy name!! A step in faith reaps an eternal reward.”

Former “Bachelor” star Ben Higgins added, “Amen.”

The Great Commission

Afterward, he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. “And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name, they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18

TRUTH ABOUT BAPTISM

TWO HOURS AND FOURTEEN MINUTES WHICH CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER – WHY YOU NEED TO BE BAPTISED

We can learn two things from the baptism of Jesus:

  1. Jesus was baptized because it was the right thing to do (“To fulfill all righteousness”).
  2. It pleased God that Jesus was baptized (“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased”).

Are those enough reasons to be baptized? Absolutely! What could be more important than doing what is right, and what pleases God? It is hard to come up with anything that would be a higher priority than both of those things.

The following excellent video on baptism was produced by Torben Sondergaad of the Last Reformation Movement. Torben also produced the following introduction. Be blessed.

“I am very, very excited about this teaching. After I finished it, I went through it again, and I felt like the Word cut into me like I’ve never experienced before when it comes to a teaching about baptism. This is so firm. This is so solid. And this will set so many people free! I know it’s a long video, but you can divide it up and see a little at a time. In this video, I’m speaking to three groups of people – you who are deceived like I was when it comes to understanding baptism – you who have seen the truth in the Bible and have experienced the true freedom when it comes to baptism – and you who believe that baptism is not part of the Gospel and just don’t want to see it and are fighting it with everything you can. To the last group, we are looking at those Scriptures you love using and always use – John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8, and Romans 10:9. Of course, we are also looking at Paul’s words in I Corinthians 1:17, “Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel.” Besides that, we are looking at the thief on the cross, and all the arguments I’ve heard over the last twenty years when it comes to going against baptism as part of salvation. But for all of you, we are also looking at “baptismal regeneration” and what the Lutheran and Catholic churches are teaching, which is a lie in some ways. Some of the things they’re saying are true, but the practice is off. We are also looking at salvation as a past, present and future tense. This is so important when it comes to understanding where in this salvation, past, present and future tense, does baptism come in. And of course, we are also looking at traditions when it comes to baptism. Then we are looking at the BIBLE. What does the BIBLE truly say. We go through the Bible verse by verse, and this is what makes this video so powerful, because when we get rid of all the lies when it comes to baptismal regeneration, when we understand salvation in a past, present and future tense, when we understand what is history and what is Bible, and deal with all these things first, and then just look at the BIBLE, verse by verse, it becomes so powerful! After this, we are looking at re-baptism – also baptism “in Jesus’ name” / “the Father, Son and Holy Spirit” – deliverance from demons in baptism – and many other things.
