Oral sex is causing an oral cancer epidemic in men by outwitting natural defences
Five years ago, when actor Michael Douglas candidly revealed that his throat cancer was linked to having oral sex, two things happened.
He made headlines that mortified his family. And he helped publicize the fact that a pervasive, sexually transmitted virus called HPV was unleashing an epidemic of oral cancer among men.
Since then, scientists have made headway in figuring out why HPV, the human papillomavirus, has this glaring gender bias. Men are four times more likely than women to be diagnosed with oral cancer, a hard-to-detect, hard-to-treat disease that has overtaken cervical cancer as the most common HPV-related malignancy in the United States.
To be sure, changes in sexual norms over the last few generations have played a role in this alarming trend. But research increasingly shows the real problem is something men have practically no control over: their immune response.
“Likewise also the men , leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” Romans 1:27
Sunday’s 90th Annual Oscar Ceremony reveals the extent of the depths of degradation to which Western society has fallen. In Luke 17:28-30, Jesus reveals that in the last days before He returns it will be like the days of Sodom.
Instead of honouring the best, most entertaining or most worthy movies, acting and craftsmanship, the members of the Academy are nominating and awarding the best antagonistic, anti-human propaganda, promoting radical identity politics and weird abuse, especially in the major categories like Best Picture, Best Acting, Best Directing, and Best Writing.
For example, the movie DUNKIRK, an excellent, patriotic piece of cinematic craftsmanship with no ax to grind, won three major technical awards for craftsmanship but won none of the major awards. What did win the major awards?
1. A bestiality movie attacking traditional American values and promoting abuse.
2. A movie about a 24-year-old graduate intern abusively seducing a 17-year-old boy who himself is fornicating with a teenage girl his own age.
3. A movie from Chile about a man, who’s undergone one of those mythical “sex change” operations and who becomes a better woman than any other woman, including the ex-wife of his dead lover.
4. A horror movie about an old white man and his white friends trying to put his brain inside the body of a young black man.
5. A story about a rape and murder that occurred in a small Missouri town where a bunch of small-minded people live.
6. A movie about an Olympic ice skater with a terrible mother and even more terrible friends who decide to break the leg of her closest competitor.
Evil is a spiritual battle, well before it is a physical one.
An unidentified gunman barrelled the truck two kilometres through a crowd that had been enjoying a fireworks display for France’s national day before being shot dead by police.
The physical cannot even test, let alone defeat the spiritual. The natural is toothless when faced by the supernatural. This earth, this visible universe is not all there is. Reality is not measured by the five senses. Reality lives eternally beyond any mere man’s perceptions. Human imagination can not account for all it is unable to see, try as it might. History is heading somewhere. God is in control and He has revealed in His Word, the end-time scenario.
Mankind’s skills are as impotent to prevent evil as legislation is incompetent.
The Fight against Evil (Ephesians 6:10 CEV)
Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. 11 Put on all the armour that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil’s tricks. 12 We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world. 13 So put on all the armour that God gives. Then when that evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm.
Be ready! Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God’s justice protect you like armour. 15 Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. 16 Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Let God’s saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit.
Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people.
