Pope Francis recently announced he would visit Iraq for the first time in early March, 2021. He is scheduled to visit Baghdad, the southern city of Ur and the Christian heartland of Nineveh province.
Iraq’s Christian community has witnessed years of conflict and targeted attacks, forcing many to flee. From 1.4 million three decades ago, its population has come down to an estimated less than 400,000.
Days before Christmas, the Muslim-majority country’s parliament announced that Christmas will now be an annual national holiday.
The Pope’s announcement has sprung hope in Karemlash, a predominantly Christian town on the Nineveh Plains about 18 miles southeast of Mosul and which was once held by the Islamic State terror group.
“We hope this visit can prevent demographic change, preserve the identity of our region, and prompt the government to seriously start rebuilding our areas,” St. Adday’s priest, Fr. Thabet al-Mekko, said, according to AFP. “We’ve started the countdown. We need to feel closer to the Christian community in the rest of the world.”
Responding to the pope’s announcement, Zuhair Mansour, a 50-year-old school principal in Karemlash, said, “It could be the step in building peace in this wounded country.” Martin Banni, the priest at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Baghdad, called the pope’s decision “a great, wonderful Christmas gift.”
Pope Francis claims Islamand Christianity are equal In The Eyes of God
Pope Francis, who has previously called for a “one-world government” to “save humanity”, signed in 2019 a historic covenant with leaders of the world’s major faiths, pushing us much closer to a one-world religion.
Is this proposed visit by Pope Francis to Iraq in March 2021 one step closer to the biblical “end times” one world religion? Could he be the false prophet? If he is we know his end.
“And the beast (Antichrist) was captured and with it the false prophetwho in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.” Revelation 19:20
Pope Francis has set about uniting all faiths, many times he has said that all major religions are meeting God in different ways. Prophecy reveals that in the end times the False Prophet will lead a one world religion. Could Pope Francis, the current leader of over 1 billion Catholics, be a likely candidate?
In February of this year about 135,000 attended the Mass led by Pope Francis in Zayed Sports City stadium in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Catholics from about 100 nations were expected to attend the Mass, along with about 4,000 Muslims, including government officials, organisers said. As mentioned, we should not be surprised as the pope has said many times that all major religions are meeting God in different ways. This is apostasy of the first order. Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6
In the video below FR. JOSEPH FESSIO, SJ, founder and editor of Ignatius Press provides his analysis on WorldOver of a new open letter signed by a growing number of Catholic theologians accusing the Pope of heresy.
Summary of the open letter to bishops as presented by the authors themselves:
The Open letter to the bishops of the Catholic Church is the third stage in a process that began in the summer of 2016. At that time, an ad hoc group of Catholic clergy and scholars wrote a private letter to all the cardinals and Eastern Catholic patriarchs, pointing out heresies and other serious errors that appeared to be contained in or favoured by Pope Francis’s Apostolic Exhortation Amoris laetitia.
The following year, after Pope Francis had continued by word, deed, and omission to propagate many of these same heresies, a ‘Filial Correction’ was addressed to the pope by many of the same people, as well as by other clergy and scholars. This second letter was made public in September 2017, and a petition in support of it was signed by some 14,000 people.
The present Open letter to the bishops of the Catholic Church goes a stage further in claiming that Pope Francis is guilty of the crime of heresy.
This crime is committed when a Catholic knowingly and persistently denies something which he knows that the Church teaches to be revealed by God. Taken together, the words and actions of Pope Francis amount to a comprehensive rejection of Catholic teaching on marriage and sexual activity, on the moral law, and on grace and the forgiveness of sins.
The Open letter also indicates the link between this rejection of Catholic teaching and the favour shown by Pope Francis to bishops and other clergy who have either been guilty of sexual sins and crimes, such as former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, or who have protected clergy guilty of sexual sins and crimes, such as the late Cardinal Godfried Danneels. This protection and promotion of clerics who reject Catholic teaching on marriage, sexual activity, and on the moral law in general, even when these clerics personally violate the moral and civil law in horrendous ways, is consistent enough to be considered a policy on the part of Pope Francis. At the least it is evidence of disbelief in the truth of Catholic teaching on these subjects. It also indicates a strategy to impose rejection of these teachings on the Church, by naming to influential posts individuals whose personal lives are based on violation of these truths.
The authors consider that a heretical papacy may not be tolerated or dissimulated to avoid a worse evil. It strikes at the basic good of the Church and must be corrected. For this reason, the study concludes by describing the traditional theological and legal principles that apply to the present situation.
The authors respectfully request the bishops of the Church to investigate the accusations contained in the letter, so that if they judge them to be well founded, they may free the Church from her present distress, in accordance with the hallowed adage, Salus animarum prima lex (‘the salvation of souls is the highest law’). They can do this by admonishing Pope Francis to reject these heresies, and if he should persistently refuse, by declaring that he has freely deprived himself of the papacy.
Just as soon as U.S. President Trump moved the Embassy in 2018, Israel became the focus of condemnation on various fronts.
The Jews view the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel exactly 70 years since its establishment, by a major world leader, Trump, as a Messianic sign. They see a link between Trump and King Cyrus, the major world leader at the time the Jews had completed 70 years in captivity. Cyrus also recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered it to be rebuilt. Both leaders were in the first year of their reign when they did so.
The Arab world, Western media and even Christian leaders opposed the move. This reaction is viewed as an essential step in the process of the coming of the Messiah according to prolific end-of-days author and educator Rabbi Pinchas Winston. He noted that an alliance between Catholicism and Islam was predicted as an essential step in the process of Moshiach (Messiah).
Turkish and Vatican flags (Photo via Shutterstock)
The meeting February 2018 between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pope Francis may have grave implications for Jerusalem as both leaders appear to be building an agenda based upon their joint opposition to US President Donald Trump’s recognition of the city as Israel’s capital.
The meeting, which took place at the Vatican, was already significant in that it was the first visit by a Turkish head of state since diplomatic relations between the Vatican and Turkey were established in 1960. However, a statement released by the Vatican says that both leaders also used the occasion to discuss the ”the status of Jerusalem, highlighting the need to promote peace and stability in the region (Middle East) through dialogue and negotiation, with respect for human rights and international law.”
Both Erdogan and Pope Francis are opposed to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Erdogan responded to the move by calling for an emergency meeting of the OIC (Erdogan is President of the coalition of 57 Muslim States). The summit, held in Istanbul, declared “East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine” and called upon “all countries to recognise the State of Palestine and East Jerusalem as its occupied capital.”
Many of the readers of Living Eternal Now will know I have suggested that Pope Francis is a good candidate for the False Prophet and now Erdogan is looking like he could be a possible candidate for the Antichrist.
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has established himself as a leader in the End-of-Days by calling for the Islamic world to unite against Jerusalem. Erdogan’s perplexing statement could be the cry that rallies the world of Ishmael for the prophesied third and final battle of Jerusalem preceding the Messiah.
Pope Francis Says All Major Religions Are ‘Meeting God In Different Ways’
A new video has just been released in which Pope Francis very clearly expresses his belief that all of the major religions are different paths to the same God. He says that while people from various global faiths may be “seeking God or meeting God in different ways” that it is important to keep in mind that “we are all children of God”. This is the most recent example that shows that the Pope has completely abandoned any notion that a relationship with God is available only through Jesus Christ. In fact, he has warned that seeking a personal relationship with God is dangerous.
As he has done throughout his papacy, he continues to lay the groundwork for the coming one world religion, and yet hardly anyone seems upset by this.
The Pope’s first-ever video message on his monthly prayer intentions was released Tuesday, highlighting the importance of inter-religious dialogue and the beliefs different faith traditions hold in common, such as the figure of God and love. Pope Francis said in his message, released Jan. 6, the feast of the Epiphany:
“Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways. In this crowd, in this range of religions, there is only one certainty that we have for all: we are all children of God,”
Certainly Pope Francis is a universalist and an evolutionist. I covered this in my 03/11/2017 post on Pope Francis
He says, you cannot have a personal relationship with God. In fact, Pope Francis says it is a dangerous doctrine.
You cannot believe God’s Word as inerrant and hold to these views. What does he do with all the prophesies of Jesus Second Coming? To my mind, he represents the Antichrist spirit in our time but is he also the False Prophet spoken of in Revelation 19:20.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.” 1 Timothy 4:1-2
The Vatican signed a treaty that includes recognition of the “state of Palestine,” lending significant symbolic weight to an intensifying Palestinian push for international support for sovereignty that bypasses the paralysed negotiations with Israel.
Palestine is committed to the demise of Israel and from Scripture we know it’s final end. It and all the other nations that come up against Israel. Jesus will destroy them and He will rule and reign from Jerusalem in His soon coming Millennial reign.
“Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war… And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses…. And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and His army.Revelation 19:11-19
This move by the Holy See, demonstrates it is totally oblivious to the Scriptures prophesying Jesus Second Coming just as the Pharisees and Sadducee’s were at the time of Jesus First Coming.
Palestinian leaders celebrated the Holy See’s endorsement as particularly important, given the international stature of Pope Francis. For Israelis, it was an emotional blow, since Francis has deep relationships with Jews dating back decades, and Christians are critical backers of their enterprise.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio is the 112th Pope prophesied by St Malachy. Pope Francis may just be the final man to claim the papacy before the utter destruction of Rome—at least according to St. Malachy’s Prophecy of the Popes.
St. Malachy was an Irish bishop in the 12th century. The first native-born Irishman to be canonized, he is known in the Roman Catholic Church for his work as a healer, a miracle worker, and as a reformer of the Church in Ireland.
But what he is most known for today is prophecy. St. Malachy was summoned to Rome in 1139 by Pope Innocent II, and while there, he experienced a vision of 112 future popes, which he then recorded as a series of short phrases. This transcript was then placed into the Vatican Secret Archives, where it lay until 1590.
First published in 1595 by Arnold de Wyon, a Benedictine monk, Malachy’s prophecy consists of 112 short Latin descriptions of future popes. Each of these descriptions identifies one outstanding trait for each of these future popes, beginning with Pope Celestine II, who was elected in 1130. This list stretches all the way from the time of St. Malachy to the present, describing, among many others, Pope John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and finally, Pope Francis.
In many ways, these descriptions were uncannily accurate, and so have led to hundreds of years of speculation that this prophecy might just be real, but the real draw of the Prophecy of the Popes is the cataclysm predicted at the end—and the idea that the current pope may be the last before that disaster occurs.
The final of the 112 Latin entries of the prophecy reads as follows.
“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”
The destruction of Rome. With the safety of the Vatican, itself, being threatened, many are now paying close attention to this 12th century foretelling.
The mention of the “tribulations” and “persecution” occurring at the end of Malachy’s prophecy can be interpreted in a sinister way—that “Peter the Roman,” the final pope, may be the Antichrist or False Prophet of Revelation 19:20, which could mean that the Prophecy of the Popes predicts not only the end of Rome, but the Biblical apocalypse.
I posted this video on 03/11/2017 and was surprised I did not get any feedback. The message is important, and as mentioned, whilst I don’t like Dwayne’s impetuous style, it is hard to disagree with what he says.
From Islamic traditions and Muslim scholars, the Mahdi (12th Imam), like the Antichrist is prophesied to be a political and military world leader unparalleled throughout world history. The Mahdi is said to “fight against the forces of evil, lead a world revolution and set up a new world order based on righteousness, justice and virtue”. At this time, according to Islamic tradition, the Mahdi is said to preside over the entire earth as the final Islamic Caliph. Clearly then, we see that the Antichrist and the Mahdi are both described as being political and military leaders the likes of which the world has never before seen. They are both viewed as being supreme religious leaders as well. Muslims believe the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent and many Bible prophesy teachers are watching expectantly for the Antichrist to emerge. Could they be one and the same person.
After examining the Antichrist’s role as a universal religious leader, many Bible prophesy teachers have talked about the coming of the “One World Religion” or the false church which the Antichrist will both create and enforce upon the entire earth.
Are we now seeing the beginnings of this “One World Religion”. Here we see Imam Sali Salem recite a verse from the Koran in Rome’s Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, on July 31, 2016. (Image source: La Stampa video screenshot)
A priest in the south of Italy enraged parishioners by dressing the Virgin Mary in a Muslim burqa for his church’s Christmas Nativity scene. These interfaith initiatives are based on the gradual elimination of the Western-Christian heritage in favour of Islam.
The Catholic clergy is probably disoriented by Pope Francis himself; he was the first to allow the reading of Islamic prayers and Koran readings from the Vatican. The Pope has embraced religious relativism when it comes to Islam. He repeated that Islamist violence is the work of “a small group of fundamentalists” who, according to him, have nothing to do with Islam.
For the first time in more than 700 years, Islamic songs resonated in Florence’s Cathedral, the Church Santa Maria del Fiore. Under the famous Dome of Brunelleschi, Islamic melodies accompanied Christian ones. The “interfaith initiative” was promoted a week after the barbaric massacre by Islamist terrorists in Paris at the magazine Charlie Hebdo, and included “Koran is Justice” and other such “hymns”.
Church of England Bishop Harries suggested that Prince Charles’s coronation service should be opened with a Koran reading.
In the US, more than 50 churches, including the Washington National Cathedral, hold Koran readings. Can you imagine Imams allowing the reading of the Christian liturgy in mosques?
Surely, this is clear evidence we are in the “last days” and the prophesied falling away in the church is already happening. We are living in the days of the Great Apostasy spoken of in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.
‘Unprecedented and potentially historic. That’s how organisers are billing the 2016 Mekudeshet Festival just around the corner this fall.
It might more accurately be dubbed a predecessor of the ‘one world religion’ prophesied in the Bible. Certainly an ‘end times’ event.
Christians, Jews and Muslims are expected to flock to the Holy City for a “spiritual gathering” dubbed Amen—A House of Prayer For All Believers. The self-stated goal is to create “a single home for the world’s three major religions to harness the city’s ancient powers to inspire artists, musicians and cultural figures from around the world to redefine their art and traditions and connect amid troubling times.”
“We will study, argue—yes, this is also allowed—and pray, together and alone,” says Mekudeshet artistic director Itay Mautner. “We will see if it is possible, despite all the corporeal difficulties and earthly obstacles, to create a new reality.”
You mean to create a one world religion?
Expect to see more of these kinds of gatherings in the months ahead. Although we should seek opportunities to love people of all faiths, events like Amen typically breed compromise in the name of unity.
As I’ve said before, dialogue is one thing. Compromising the tenets of Christianity is altogether different. Using art and culture as a shill, Amen appears to be nothing more than an attempt to redefine religion.
This reminds me of Pope Francis’ recent move to gather Christians, Muslims, Jews and Hindus together in prayer.
Disturbing video footage shows the pope receiving a demonic statue from a Buddhist and bending down to pray according to Muslim tradition.
“Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways,” he says. “In this crowd, in this range of religions, there is only one certainty we have for all: We are all children of God.”
Here’s the problem: You can seek God in many ways, but there’s only one way to the Father. There is only one way to meet God, and His name is Jesus Christ. To even hint at anything else causes confusion at best and deceives many at worst. Events like Amen are a tool in the enemy’s hand to dilute the one true and living God’s gospel of salvation.
