THE BATTLE WAGES FOR THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF AMERICANS

Worcester, located about 35 miles west of Boston, is the second-biggest city by population in the state, with just over 200,000 residents. The City Council passed a resolution, titled “Sanctuary City for Transgender and Gender Diverse People“. It prevents the city from cooperating with federal or state policies deemed harmful to trans-identified individuals and ensures access to healthcare, housing, education and employment without discrimination.

While critics have argued the resolution defies federal law and fails to protect youth, approximately 200 people, activists and residents, showed up for the council meeting to support the resolution, many of them speaking out — some even singing — during the five-hour public meeting.

Among those who spoke out in favor of the resolution was Julie Payne-Britton, a pastor at the Hadwen Park Congregational Church, which is affiliated with the progressive United Church of Christ. Payne-Britton, who identifies as a disabled, cisgender lesbian, sported a clerical collar as she told council members that if Jesus were at the meeting, He would be “dressed in full drag.”

“The Jesus I know would be dressed in full drag and serving face, or handsome as a trans man, or wrapped in the garb of a non-binary person who knows one gender is way too small to capture their gloriousness,” Payne-Britton claimed. “The Jesus I know would be at this mic with a trembling voice and a shaking body and tears that will not be held back crying, ‘make this city safe for my child.’”

Another speaker, a blue-haired, white-gloved man in drag who identified as “Dee Dee Delight” spoke about being “afraid” of President Donald Trump’s executive order requiring federal agencies to recognize only two sexes — male and female — and a second order prohibiting trans medical operations for anyone younger than 19.

“I need the city to protect me because the federal government won’t. And if you think you’re afraid of Trump, you should see how afraid of Trump I am,” the speaker said.

After identifying as “multiply disabled,” the speaker, standing in front of a sign that read “Silence = death,” issued what appeared to be a threat against the council.

“If you say you’re afraid of Trump and that’s why you don’t want the city to be a safe space for [trans] people, you better prepare for [trans] people to make this a very unsafe space,” said the person.

A short time later, a black female activist warned the council about “strong, queer” transgender-identified people who “will collect you with the quickness.”

Another activist wearing a wig screamed at the city council, “How many of my friends have to die before you do anything?”

The City of Worcester has folded to the increasingly threatening demands of LBTQ proponents. The battle is escalating. Fortunately, we know how the story ends, Jesus returns to put things right.

TRANS DYLAN MULVANEY NAMED ‘WOMAN OF THE YEAR’ BY LGBT MAGAZINE

Trans-identified influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who has been recognized as a “Woman of the Year” by an LGBT magazine, is characterizing anyone who refuses to acknowledge the social media personality’s preferred gender identity as “hateful.”

Attitude Magazine, which identifies itself as “the UK & Europe’s best-selling LGBTQ magazine,” unveiled Mulvaney as its Woman of the Year in a post on X Wednesday. Mulvaney, a biological male, is one of several LGBT personalities included in the publication’s “Awards Issue,” scheduled for release in November.

This perversion of God’s commandments reveals along with all of the other Biblical end times prophecies that we are fast approaching the last seven years prior to Jesus’ return first to take the Saints to heaven prior to God pouring out His wrath upon an unrepentant Earth. The Bible gives us a lot of detail about the events that precede Jesus’ return so that we know He is in control. The following Scripture was given to us by Jesus in response to His disciple’s questions about the time of His return to Earth. We need to keep our focus on Jesus’ promise of eternal life. That is why this blog is called livingeternal.

You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance, you will gain your lives.Luke 21:16-19

MEN HAVE FORGOTTEN GOD

In his 1983 Templeton Prize address, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn offered this summary explanation for why all the horrors of Soviet communism came to pass: “Men have forgotten God; that’s why all this has happened.

This answer is also a valid explanation for the crises enveloping the West today, including the widespread falling away from faith, the disintegration of the family, a loss of communal purpose, erotomania, erasing the boundaries between male and female, and a general spirit of demonic destruction that denies the sacredness of human life. Because men have forgotten God, they have also forgotten man; that’s why all this has happened.

The above two para’s are the beginning of the Foreword to Carl Trueman’s new book The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self

The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self

“This is a characteristically brilliant book by Carl Trueman, helping the church understand why people believe that sexual difference is a matter of psychological choice. Indeed, Trueman shows how the story we tell ourselves about normalized LGBTQ+ values is false and foolish. With wisdom and clarity, Trueman guides readers through the work of Charles Taylor, Philip Rieff, British Romantic poets, and Continental philosophers to trace the history of expressive individualism from the eighteenth century to the present. The rejection of mimesis (finding excellence by imitating something greater than yourself) for poiesis (finding authenticity by inventing yourself on your own terms), in addition to the Romantic movement’s welding of sexual expression as a building block of political liberation, ushers in the modern LGBTQ+ movement as if on cue. This book reveals how important it is for thinking Christians to distinguish virtue from virtue signaling. The former makes you brave; the latter renders you a man pleaser, which is a hard line to toe in a world where there are so few real men left to please.”

Rosaria Butterfield, Former Professor of English, Syracuse University; author, The Gospel Comes with a House Key

“The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self is perhaps the most significant analysis and evaluation of Western culture written by a Protestant during the past fifty years. If you want to understand the social, cultural, and political convulsions we are now experiencing, buy this book, and read it for all it is worth. Highly recommended.”

A MESSAGE FOR THE LGBT COMMUNITY

Edward Byrd, who co-founded the Freedom March, was also featured in the Here’s my Heart documentary.

The Freedom March proved beyond doubt to LA legislators that it would be criminal to legislate against conversion therapy for LGBT persons. By accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, these marchers were born again empowered now by the Holy Spirit to live as God intended. They were converted from the LGBT lifestyle.

Byrd, a former member of the LGBT community, opens up his heart in “Ran Into You,” which he defines as his testimony in a song.

Byrd, who previously identified as a gender-fluid or androgynous person, says he was giving himself away until he ran into God.

“Nothing could make me whole,” he belts in the song. “Until I ran into You.”

Byrd’s mother was 15 years old when she had him. Byrd was raped, abused and then abandoned by his father.

Broken, confused and devastated, Byrd turned to the LGBT community for acceptance. Yet he knew something was missing.

“God met me right in my sin and loved me into a personal relationship with him. This year actually marks my seventh year of being free!” Byrd tells Charisma.

This song will blow you away. Just listen!

A PUBLIC PUSH BACK AGAINST DARKNESS

WASHINGTON — A survivor of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, believes it’s time for Christians to exchange “church Christianity” for “lifestyle Christianity,” and that the mainstream media narrative about “conversion therapy” amounts to “fake news.”

At the Freedom March, a gathering of men and women who shared their stories of abandoning the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer lifestyles and identity labels, which occurred at the Sylvan Theatre next to the Washington Monument Saturday, Luis Javier Ruiz, who survived the June 2016 massacre at the Pulse nightclub, began his speech by kneeling and proclaiming forgiveness.

“I come as a pastor’s child to ask forgiveness of the Church. Because we have kicked out, we have thrown [LGBTQ persons] out, including myself, and I want to ask [for] forgiveness, and I want to welcome the LGBTQ, I want to welcome anybody to come into the Church, to come worship in a safe place.”

“Maybe we didn’t know how to do it back in the days, but we sure do now. The Holy Spirit is pouring out. And He is raising up a generation with boldness. And I just want to thank Him … my identity is Jesus.”

Ruiz no longer lives or identifies as a homosexual. He explained that he lost many friends at the Pulse nightclub that night in Orlando, and described the massacre as one of the scariest events of his life. Ruiz stressed that those who hold hateful signs and express hate for homosexuals are “not us.”

“We love,” he said, “and the same love that Jesus gave us when He forgives us on the cross, He also does the same for anybody.”

Those in attendance were marching to proclaim their freedom from all kinds of issues, not just from homosexuality, he went on to say. Ruiz then prayed for God to raise up a generation who will be bold, for men and women who would not compromise nor water down the Word of God, for people to love others radically, and for a revival to be ignited in Washington, D.C.

He told The Christian Post in an interview following his talk that life in Christ is about “falling in love with Him in that secret place and allowing Him to take things off of you, whatever they may be, however they may look.”

“The Holy Spirit and Jesus will be the only ones to tell you what you can and cannot do. And of course, reading the Word, because He is the Word,” he said.

When asked what he would like to communicate most and what God’s heart is for the LBGT community, he said: “I feel like God’s heart right now is that he wants your heart. He wants to fall in love with you.”

“You are His creation, you are His child, no matter what you’re going through. And I believe that as soon as you forget about everything and fall in love with Christ deeply, everything is going to change. It’s going to cause you to come out [of the LGBTQ life], and His perfect love that will cast out fear, and boldness.”

He added that too many Christians tend to live a “church kind” of Christian faith, “but God is calling us to lifestyle Christianity, and you can only find that and only do that through Christ.”

CP asked Ruiz what he makes of the media coverage about him no longer identifying as gay, particularly the reports emphasising the harms of what is often referred to as “conversion therapy.”

“What’s that?” he replied with a laugh.  “Honestly, I don’t know what that is. I’ve never been through conversion therapy. I’ve been through Holy Spirit therapy. That’s the only [kind] I know. All they are trying to do is, I think, it’s lies. It’s fake people and fake news.”

“Jesus said ‘Follow me.’ He didn’t give you a list of rules. He said: ‘Follow me. So trust Him to do the rest.”

Freedom March organizer Jeffrey McCall, who once lived as a gay male prostitute and then as a transwoman named Scarlett, commented to CP following the event that the Freedom March was “a public declaration, a public pushback against darkness in not only our capital but our country,” in the spiritual realm.

“It was a public push back that people can be free not only from homosexuality and transgender lives but from anything. That it is through the power of the Holy Spirit, and it’s through the grace of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.”

“The heart of God for LGBTQ people is the same that it is for all people. His heart loves them, and He wants all of them. And [what] I want to say to them is: you’re so special, you are worth more than rubies and jewels and diamonds.”  “This is the Gospel for all people.
