DEFEND CHRISTIANITY IN EGYPT AND YOU WILL BE GAOLED

Christian author and apologist Dr Augustine Samaan was detained in early October. His only crime? Criticising Islam.

Samaan’s social media presence is unashamedly Christian. Much of his content contains a defence of Christianity and discussions about Christians who’ve left Islam. According to Samaan’s social media accounts, he is a well-schooled theologian.

While personal information about him is scarce, Samaan’s YouTube page states he is dedicated to preaching the reliability of the Gospel. He describes himself as an ecumenical clerical deacon (reader and teacher), who is enthusiastic about engaging in “defensive and offensive theology in both Arabic and English.”

On a more personal note, Samaan’s “theology channel” is also dedicated to his mother, who, Samaan said, “planted in him the love of Jesus Christ.” This was, he added, “despite all the internal and external wars and persecutions.” The self-titled channel has over 1 million views, hosts 7,400 videos, and enjoys over 106,000 subscribers.

Reasons for his dubious “defaming Islam” arrest could be directly related to content shared two weeks ago. In one video he describes as funny, he shared audio of “a Muslim teaching an attempt to raise doubts about the Bible.” The second video appears to be excerpts from a much longer StreamYard debate about Islam from last year. Samaan’s last post featured a short from that debate in which he calls Islam’s tolerance for child marriage criminal. Particularly, Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha. To recount, Aisha was six years old at the time, and Muhammad consummated that marriage when she was nine. In the debate excerpt (posted twice, once in English and Arabic), Samaan argued that Muhammad’s child bride contradicted Egyptian and International law. Under those laws, Samaan declared, Muhammad had committed a crime.

Christian oppression in Egypt continues to worsen. Kidnappings, false imprisonments, and forced disappearances are at least a weekly occurrence. The latest is 18-year-old Bola Adel Naguib. Naguib was forcibly disappeared (secretly arrested) the week before last on suspicion of preaching Christianity and insulting Islam. Egyptian intellectual, Magdy Tadros, told Bassam Sam, owner of the YouTube channel Free Thought, that Naguib’s disappearance was probably due to his contact with Said Mansour Rezk. Rezk was arrested as a terrorist in August for converting to Christianity and criticising Islam.

GODLESSNESS IN THE LAST DAYS BEFORE JESUS RETURNS

​”But understand this, that in the last days, there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:1-7

God tells us in advance so we can prepare for the coming tribulation. It is only after the tribulation prophesied in the last seven years before Jesus returns that the church is raptured and the dead in Christ are raised from the dead.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31

Paul also tells us that before the rapture the rebellion comes first and the man of rebellion (Antichrist) is revealed and declares himself to be a god in the temple in Jerusalem.

“Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5

The celestial signs Jesus refers to in Matthew 24 that precede the rapture are also given by John at the opening of the sixth seal. John also tells us that immediately after the rapture the wrath of God is poured out on an unrepentant world.

“When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” Revelation 6:12-17

BE PREPARED – END TIMES TRIBULATION

Persecution of Christians is escalating just as the Bible prophesied would happen before Jesus’ second coming. For simply stating the truth that natural marriage between a man and a woman is the fundamental building block for a successful society, Maureen Martin lost her job as a Housing Manager with the London & Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q).

A recent article in Christian Post stated: “A housing trust in England has doubled down on its decision to terminate a housing manager who voiced her belief in the biblical definition of marriage while campaigning for mayor of her local community.”

The L & Q which houses over 250,000 people, issued a statement this week in response to legal action filed by former employee Maureen Martin, who claims she was terminated this spring after voicing her beliefs on marriage in a leaflet during her campaign for mayor of Lewisham.

The alleged offensive copy in the election leaflet:

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.” Genesis 2:24

“Marriage: I pledge to cut through political correctness and simply state the truth that natural marriage between a man and a woman is the fundamental building block (ordained by God) for a successful society and the safest environment for raising children,”

In a statement, the Christian Peoples Alliance, a political party formed in 1999, said Martin’s beliefs on marriage are “what millions of people believe and is a belief that is protected in U.K. law.”

Someone posted an image of the leaflet on Twitter, calling it against the law and hate speech. Three complaints followed, telling L&Q’s chief executive that Martin’s beliefs should have no place at the company. The Christian candidate was described in the complaint as “bigoted” in need of “anti-oppressive training.”

Martin was soon “suspended, investigated, hindered from campaigning as part of the election and then dismissed for allegedly bringing L&Q into disrepute, breaching social media policy and failing to declare political interests.”

The Bible reveals that losing one’s job is just the beginning of tribulation as the following Scripture reveals. This warning is given by Jesus on what will occur in the end times before He returns.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:9-14

PERSECUTION ESCALATING AS PROPHESIED

In Australia in the State of Victoria, the Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Act 2021 ( It ensures LGBTQ Victorians are able to live their lives authentically with pride and makes clear that a person’s sexual orientation and gender identity are not broken and do not need to be fixed.) comes into force today.  

Here’s how this new legislation will restrict Christian’s freedom to live out their faith, wherever they live in Australia …

This law gives broad powers to locate, investigate, and punish anyone who holds to and teaches Christian convictions on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Penalties could be as much as 10 years imprisonment and a $500,000 fine.

Complaints can be reported by “any person”, even those who are not affected and can be made anonymously – even about conduct in other states.

Those opposed to the Christian faith will be able to harass and silence churches, organisations, and individuals they don’t agree with.

No other law in Australia has this power to limit your religious freedom.

It could land anyone in jail for failing to toe the line on LGBT issues and, more disturbingly, it could imprison anyone who carries out religious practices such as prayer.

We should not be surprised to see this happening as Jesus told us beforehand that prior to His second coming to put things right, persecution of Christians and even being “hated by all for my name’s sake” will be the law of the land.

“And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Mark 13:11-13

Many Australians are already facing unfair treatment – people like …

  • Hannah, who was banned from a café for reading the Bible
  • Ian, a teacher whose job was threatened for expressing his religious beliefs on social media
  • Jereth, a doctor who was suspended by the Medical Board and has been unable to practise for two years because of his social media posts.

The real fight is not political: it’s spiritual and only with us preaching the Gospel and the Holy Spirit transforming minds will God’s truth be made known.

A GODLESS WORLD PRIOR TO JESUS SECOND COMING

What happens when humans believe that the world began with a big bang and evolved over billions of years from single celled amoeba to the humans walking the planet today?

For me, It seems absurd that anyone can believe that something as complex, ordered and beautiful as the Cosmos came into being without any meaningful explanation and known mechanism to make it happen. Natural selection and mutations cannot do it and yet this is what is taught in our universities and schools. Moreover, our Creator has gone to extraordinary lengths to reveal the truth about Himself, ourselves and the Cosmos, as revealed by His actions in history, His prophets, His nation (Israel), His Word (Bible) and above all else through His Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

The following is what we will see unfold as we move from truth to chaos.

  • From the conviction that God is Transcendent—above all and to Whom all must give an account, including governments to the belief that there is nothing Transcendent but ourselves and ultimately our rulers
  • From the freedom not to believe to enforced state or cultural religion
  • From churches to re-education centres
  • From schools pursuing knowledge to schools indoctrinating Satanically inspired nonsense
  • From the Bible as God’s revelation to us and the source of our formative worldview to the displacement of the Bible from public life
  • From constitutionalism to tyrannical edict and the emergence of The Antichrist
  • From healthy individuality to collectivism
  • From a free market economy to a state-controlled economy and finally the Mark of the Beast
  • From democracy to oligarchy through the elite establishments of Information, Entertainment, Academia, Politics, Corporations
  • From mature independence to socialist dependency
  • From a healthy respect for just law to a belief we are above God’s law.
  • From unity to fragmentation
  • From freedom of religion to bondage to the secular humanist religion of the state and then the false prophet
  • From Biblical family to state-determined family

This is the world Jesus describes prior to His second coming to earth to complete His covenantal promise to Abraham Isaac and Jacob that their Messiah (Jesus) will rule the nations from a restructured and renamed Jerusalem.

WILL CHRISTIANS BE LABELLED DURING THE COMING TRIBULATION?

The Journal of Theoretical Biology (JTB) editors apparently feel that scientists with “creationist” connections should be required to reveal this whenever they submit a paper. People who lived under the Soviet Union had similar experiences. Under Communism, members of disfavored groups were theoretically free to work and live as they wished. Yet to have “Jew,” for example, stamped on your passport was a guarantee of punishing discrimination.

Just read the disclaimer that the editors of the Journal of Theoretical Biology (JTB) appended to the recent peer-reviewed paper they published on Intelligent Design. This important paper, argues for intelligent design in the context of biological fine-tuning. It seems that the censors got hold of the editors, who backed down and repented, claiming they were quite surprised to discover what they themselves had approved and published. Here’s the relevant language from the disclaimer:

Since the publication of the paper, it has now become evident that the authors are connected to a creationist group (although their addresses are given on the paper as departments in bona fide universities). We were unaware of this fact while the paper was being reviewed.

As “end times” prophesied persecution steps up and we move into the last three and a half years of great tribulation prior to Jesus return, God’s Word tells us the reverse will be true, all that follow the Antichrist will carry his mark, the mark of the Beast. Christians will face death rather than take the Antichrist’s mark.

“Also it (Antichrist) causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” Revelation 13:16-18
