(ABC News) Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Wednesday that if the United States deploys intermediate-range missiles in Europe, Russia will have to target the nations that would host them. The stern statement follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement over the weekend that he intends to opt out of a 1987 nuclear arms control pact over alleged Russian violations. Putin said he hoped the United States wouldn’t follow up by positioning intermediate-range missiles in Europe.

Such a move would be a repeat of a Cold War showdown in the 1980s, when the U.S. and the Soviet Union both deployed intermediate-range missiles on the continent, the Russian leader said. “If they are deployed in Europe, we will naturally have to respond in kind,”

RUMORS OF WAR: Retired General warns “War with China likely in 15 years”

(Military Times) The former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe says it’s likely the United States will be at war with China in 15 years. Retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said at a Warsaw security forum on Wednesday that European allies will have to do more to ensure their own defences against Russia as Americans focus more on the Pacific. Hodges said: “I think in 15 years — it’s not inevitable, but it is a very strong likelihood — that we will be at war with China. The United States does not have the capacity to do everything it has to do in Europe and in the Pacific to deal with the Chinese threat.”

Hodges, now with the Center for European Policy Analysis, was U.S. Army commander in Europe during 2014-17.

Around 50,000 soldiers, 10,000 vehicles, 65 ships and 250 aircraft from 31 countries were taking part in Trident Juncture 18,

which is aimed at training the Atlantic Alliance to defend a member state after an aggression. The show of force comes amid recent concerns over US President Donald Trump’s commitment to NATO, in particular, the “Article 5” mutual defence clause which requires all member states to come to the aid of another member state

God has revealed in His Word what will take place in the end times prior to Jesus return to rule and reign from Jerusalem. He said He would return to the exact site on Mt Olives where He ascended into heaven. I believe we are living in the last days before the prophesied last seven years before His return (Daniel’s 70th week).

Iran (Shia) is a significant player in last days events. The Bible prophecies it will invade and dominate and control Muslim countries in the Middle East and this it is what it is doing, directly in Syria and Iraq, but also indirectly with Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza (Daniel 8:4,20 – Iran is the ram). Bible prophecy then reveals that Turkey (Sunni) overcomes Iran ( Daniel 8:5 – Turkey is the goat). Remember, Turkey was previously in control of the Ottoman Empire. It will not tolerate Iran taking its leadership role. Sunni represents at least 80% of Muslims. The following video provides a detailed report on Hezbollah. London Closes 500 Churches; Opens 423 New Mosques. It already has a Muslim Mayor.

The city of London has closed 500 churches and opened 423 new mosques, and now allows sharia courts to operate in the city.

The creeping Islamization of London is almost complete, with hundreds of official sharia courts operating in the capital, and mosques opening where famous Christian churches have stood for many hundreds of years.

“London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together“, according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead “Londonistan“, as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist. Nobel Laureate for Literature,Wole Soyinka,  was less generous. He called the UK “a cesspit for Islamist’s“.

In Birmingham, the second-largest British city, where many jihadists live and orchestrate their attacks, an Islamic minaret dominates the sky. There are petitions to allow British mosques to call the Islamic faithful to prayer on loudspeakers three times a day.

By 2020, estimates are that the number of Muslims attending prayers will reach at least 683,000, while the number of Christians attending weekly Mass will drop to 679,000. “The new cultural landscape of English cities has arrived; the homogenised, Christian landscape of state religion is in retreat”, said Ceri Peachof Oxford University. While nearly half of British Muslims are under the age of 25, a quarter of Christians are over 65. “In another 20 years there are going to be more active Muslims than there are churchgoers,” said Keith Porteous Wood, director of the National Secular Society.

A central tenet of the Muslim faith is the future coming of Imam Mahdi at the end of time. He is also known as Q’aim or the promised one. It is common to both Shia and Sunni sects but the most heightened state of expectation now is in Shia Islam – Iran.  For Christians, looking at the Mahdi’s credentials, he is the best candidate for the Biblical Antichrist.

“LAST DAYS” EVENTS ESCALATING AS PROPHECIED

Sadly, most of these people live their lives as if God does not exist, certainly not the God of the Bible who tells us that   to fear God is the  beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 1:7  At this time, I am also reminded of what Jesus said,

“If you abide in my WORD, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

God’s word also tells us, that “scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgement and destruction of the ungodly.

The world no longer believes that God judged the world just four thousand years ago. Only eight human survivors of a worldwide flood and yet the evidence of billions of things buried quickly all over the world is stark and ample evidence.

Probably the greatest proof of the authenticity of the Bible is fulfilled prophecy. Over 300 prophecies of Jesus first coming is enough, but do you know that there are many more prophecies concerning His second coming and these are beginning to unfold in our time. One of the most significant is the prophecy of Israel being reborn as a nation and that God would bring Jews back to Israel from all around the world. This is happening at an increasing rate as we approach the last seven years before Jesus return – The 70th Week of Daniel.

Many of the recent posts on this website clearly demonstrate we are in the “last days”. Another, very significant sign given by Jesus, is that in the “last days” there would be apostasy in the church. A great falling away, as the church no longer stands on God’s Word, heeding sound doctrine. Abortion, same sex marriage, gender fluidity and euthanasia are four abominations in God’s sight which will bring God’s judgement on nations that approve of these sins. Australia now joins those other nations that are going down this path of destruction. Judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah was a real historical event but the scoffers are blind.
