I put the following question to the app ChatGPT and was amazed at the Biblical answer given but of course with qualifications. It demonstrates what AI is capable of doing. I was prompted to go to ChatGPT after I had watched a video by Jordan Peterson on AI. I will post the AI video next. It reveals the potential of AI is both amazing and terrifying. E.g. The jobs of a whole team of PhD-level financial analysts are at risk after a new AI model outperformed them. An acquaintance in PR uses Chat-GPT to write emails to colleagues she suspects are doing the same thing – the humans are intermediaries in a robotic correspondence. Australia’s school curriculum chief has warned of a “dystopian future’’ for children struggling to separate fact from fiction, as artificial intelligence (AI) transforms knowledge.

This was further confirmation for me that we are living in the Biblical prophesied “end times” prior to Jesus’ return.

What does the Bible reveal about the coming Millennial Kingdom with Jesus and the resurrected Saints ruling and reigning with a rod of iron?

I was impressed by the answer I got to the question I put to ChatGPT above, but you will be “blown away” by what you learn from the video. I was convinced that it demonstrates that we are in the Biblical prophesied end times.

GOD IS SOVEREIGN

We know as Christians that God places rulers in power to accomplish His purposes, as difficult as that might seem for us.

“He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Daniel 2:21

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” Romans 13:1

These verses and others like them are great reminders of God’s sovereignty in history. These are the kind of bedrock verses to meditate on when a new government arises headed by an Islamic leader, who seemingly will be big trouble for Christ-followers.

Our faith cannot be shaken by whoever is in the driver’s seat of any given government. God is in control and often we get the leader we deserve. In Australia, the Victorian people voted in the ungodly Daniel Andrews and they are now getting the anti-God legisation they deserve.

It is useful to reflect on how God uses kings for His purposes. For example, Divine judgment came against the Lord’s people by means of King Nebuchadnezzar and the nation of Babylon. God refers to Nebuchadnezzar as His servant, meaning that the king was doing the work of God in punishing the people of Judah.

The fact that Nebuchadnezzar was referred to as the Lord’s servant should not be interpreted to mean that he was a righteous king. It is also not an indication that Babylon was replacing Judah as God’s special people. This is made clear as God’s judgment would later be pronounced against Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon.

“‘Then it will be when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ declares the Lord, ‘for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it an everlasting desolation. We must drill down into the Rock. Jesus and cling to Him as world events continue to mold a godless future at a faster rate than ever seen before. We must also use the many prophecies of these future events for what I call apocalyptic evangelism. They prove the inerrancy of the Bible and the fact God is in control of History. The Bible clearly indicates the world gets darker as the world comes under greater control of Satan and his demonic powers. God even allows Satan to install his Antichrist and prophet to rule for three and a half years prior to Jesus’ return to earth with the glorified Saints to rule and reign for 1000 years.

“They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:5-6

DEAD SEA PROPHECY EXPLAINS ALL OF HISTORY

It is no coincidence that the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947 just prior to Israel being re-established as a nation in 1947. The Dead Sea Scrolls provided proof of Israel’s right to the land they were about to occupy and what is ahead for God’s nation. Jesus will eventually rule all the nations of the world from a renewed expanded Jerusalem. Israel will be the prime nation of the world during Jesus’ Millennium Kingdom.

There is one prophecy in the Dead Sea Scrolls that explains all of history from Noah to Jesus to the Tribulation and even to the Millennial Kingdom. Known as Enoch’s 10 Weeks Prophecy (200 BC), it is amazing in its accuracy about all the seasons of man’s history from the antediluvian period, the flood, the founding of Israel to Jesus to where we are today to the Tribulation. Whilst the Book of Enoch is not in the canon of Scripture the 10 Weeks Prophecy is accurate to date so we need to look at what it says about the age we’re in today and the coming Tribulation. Is the following good news an indicator that the world is turning back to God’s values? Sadly, God’s Word, the Bible tells us that godlessness and lawlessness will increase as we approach the time of Jesus’ Second Coming. God has given us at least 1800 prophecies of His return to earth, first to raise the dead in Christ and then to rapture believers to heaven before God pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced on Monday that he has implemented an emergency regulation imposing what his office calls “guardrails” on gender transition interventions for minors as the push to ban the controversial practices continues on a state-by-state basis. “Even Europe recognizes that mutilating children for the sake of a woke, leftist agenda has irreversible consequences, and countries like Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom have all sharply curtailed these procedures,”

The new regulation “clarifies that state law already prohibits performing experimental procedures in the absence of specific guardrails” and requires medical professionals to inform patients that the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones “is experimental and is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)” and that “the FDA has issued a warning that puberty blockers can lead to brain swelling and blindness.” Bailey’s office says the move was necessary “due to the skyrocketing number of gender transition interventions despite rising concerns in the medical community that these procedures are experimental and lack clinical evidence of safety or success.”

At one point, Barrymore, one of the most famous women in the world, kneeled before Mulvaney in a gushing display of deference to the male who shot to fame performing an over-the-top ditsy-woman persona in the TikTok series 100 Days of Girlhood.

Trans activists like Dylan Mulvaney, whose painfully offensive internet content shows each day of his life of “girlhood” using outdated female stereotypes, may merit our compassion and an invitation to redemption — but Barrymore’s behavior was more akin to worship. She appeared to wholeheartedly celebrate everything that Dylan falsely proclaims himself to be, perpetuating the same façade that both she and everyone watching knew to be a lie.

Contrary to Barrymore’s example, in a culture where the existence and privacy of women are increasingly thrust into question by transgender ideology, it is more important than ever that women stick together in defending the dignity of our sex against those who parody it in the public square.

In a similar act of kneeling to transgender ideology, Wellesley College made headlines this week due to a student referendum that supported welcoming all transgender and so-called nonbinary-identifying students to the traditionally all-female institution. If adopted, this change would mark a significant departure from the original intention of the school, which was founded in 1875 with the goal of expanding higher education opportunities to women; notably, Ivy League universities didn’t accept female students until they began in the late 1960s. In more recent years, women’s colleges have offered young women an oasis of privacy, particularly for students with a prior history of sexual trauma and a desire to minimize the risk of suffering the all-too-common experience of campus sexual assault.

This is clear evidence we are living in the last days before Jesus returns to set up His millennial reign on this earth. DOES GOD LOVE YOU?

I decided to do this post after reading this quote from Mike Bickle:

“We will never have more affection or passion for God than we understand He has for us. We will never be more committed to God that our understanding of His commitment to us.“

Let me start with what Jesus told us about our Heavenly Fathers’ love for us.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.” John 15:9

“I (Jesus) in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” John 17:23

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in Him and He in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:15-16

“We love Him because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

LIVING ETERNAL NOW

“Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.“ 1 Timothy 6:12

“Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.” 1 Timothy 6:11

Have you taken hold of eternal life which was won for you by the sacrifice of Jesus on The Cross? By His sacrifice, Jesus made it possible for our Heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit to indwell your Spirit to be your counsellor, teacher, and comforter. The Holy Spirit enables you to take hold of eternal life and prepare yourself for what is coming next: Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom on this earth. God has given us incredible detail on what plays out on this earth prior to Jesus’ return, first to raise the dead in Christ, and then to rapture all believers who are alive on earth. God then pours out His wrath upon an unrepentant world for one year and ten days.

The Day of the Lord extends from Yom Teruah of the Sixth Year of the 70th Week until Yom Kippur at the end of Year Seven which will be followed by a Jubilee year to start Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom.

A Jubilee year starts on Yom Kippur (Lev. 25:9) rather than on Yom Teruah (also called Rosh Hashanah) as most Jewish years do. This makes the year before a Jubilee year exactly one year and ten days long. This is the length of time we propose for the Day of the Lord (God’s Wrath).

God calls his Wrath both a day of vengeance and a year of recompense (Heb: SHILLUM, meaning “retribution”).

“For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.” Isaiah 34:8

On Tishri 10, the Jews celebrate the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) which is often referred to simply as “The Day.” Prophetically on this day, Jesus returns to earth, triumphs over evil, destroys the Antichrist, and redeems the Jewish remnant who will repent. He will “atone” for their sins.

A Jubilee year beginning precisely at the Second Coming (on Yom Kippur) would indeed fulfill the promise inherent in a Jubilee of “setting the captives free.”

“To proclaim the favourable year (Jubilee year) of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God.” Isaiah 61:2

The length of time God poured out His wrath upon the earth, the first time, was one year and ten days – Noah’s Flood. (calculated from Gen 7:11, Gen. 8:14). It is the same interval of time God will pour out His wrath prior to Jesus’ second coming to earth. Jesus said it will be like the days of Noah and so it will be in more ways than one.

CAN YOU KNOW THE HISTORY OF OUR COSMOS?

God’s Word reveals the entire history of this Cosmos from its creation out of water to its fiery end. Also, the Apostle Peter told us 2000 years ago that in the last days before Jesus returns to set up His Millennial Kingdom scoffers will deny it:

“You should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires ... For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these, the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word, the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.” 2 Peter 3:2-7

  1. The creation of the Cosmos by God and that the earth was formed out of water. Physicist Dr. Russell Humphreys proposed that God first created the earth and other heavenly bodies out of water. Then, according to this model, God transformed much of the water into other substances. Based on plausible assumptions about the initial magnetism, and a biblical age of the Creation, Humphreys also calculated the magnetic fields of other planets. In 1984 the Messenger spacecraft, made by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory for NASA measured the magnetic field of Mercury which confirmed Humphrey’s prediction to the astonishment of evolutionists. His model accurately predicts the field strengths we observe for other planets and explains features that are a puzzle to evolutionists. However, before this earth is destroyed the Bible reveals that it will exist for another 1000 years ruled by Jesus and the resurrected Saints. It is a transition period from the reign of Satan to God creating a new heaven and new earth where only the righteous dwell. During this transition period, Jesus will fulfill the prophecies given to Abraham and most of the O.T. prophets that God would raise up a Messiah, Jesus who would rule the nations from a magnificently restructured Jerusalem. God established His nation, Israel, to fulfill His purposes on this earth.

The following N.T. Scripture reveals that the Messiah must reign over his kingdom until he has defeated all his enemies. Once this is accomplished, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to the Father. When the Kingdom of God is handed over to the Father, it will be free of sin and death, identifying it as the Eternal State (Revelation 21:4, 8).

“But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.” 1 Corinthians 15:23-25

Two more N.T. Scriptures refer to Jesus’ coming Millennial reign on this earth.

“ Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way, all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” Romans 11:25-27

“Repent, therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.” Acts 3:19-21

MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

With Jesus and the Saints ruling the nations in the Millennium, we can expect new technology to be developed further. I expect Nuclear Fusion will be the main power source. Robotics for the production and distribution of goods and other services: health, transport, and construction, to name a few. In the Millennium, I was surprised to learn that Jesus tells us repeatedly that He and the Saints will rule the nations with a rod of iron. Wise use of technology will be closely monitored. We will not see aborted fetuses used for medical experimentation, cryonics, cloning, or modifying DNA, things that are being pursued vigorously now.

“As for me, I have set my King (Jesus) on Zion, my holy hill.” I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Psalm 2:6-9

“From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron.” Revelation 19:15

“She (Mary)gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,” Revelation 12:5

MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

One purpose of the thousand-year reign is to allow for the fulfillment of the promises God made with Jesus, Israel, the Saints, and the Creation, to vindicate His Holy name. The Messiah must reign over His kingdom until He has defeated all His enemies.

And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. The main purpose of the Millennium is to prepare the Nations and Saints for the Father coming in the fullness of His glory. Then, there will be a new heaven and new earth free of sin and death, identifying it as the Eternal State.

Revelation 21:1-4 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”

Revelation 22:3-5 “No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.” 

MILLENNIAL KINGDOM – CURSE

During the reign of Jesus and the Saints in the Millennial Kingdom, the curse has not been fully lifted from the Cosmos. The land across the planet will produce food in a way that none on earth has experienced since Adam and Eve’s exit from paradise but Israel will enjoy the greatest level of production. It will be restored to be like the Garden of Eden but not the rest of the world. Men and women still marry and have children. They still die but have a longer life span.

The millennium is still a time of sin, death, rebellion, and harsh judgment. Its true character seems to fall between the present age (the “church age”) and the future sinless coexistence of the redeemed in the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21). With reference to death in the millennial age, we read:

“No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. Isaiah 65:20

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.” Zechariah 4:5

Also, it appears that the curse has been lifted off the animals in Israel but we are not told if that is the case in the rest of the world.

“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together, and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Isaiah 11:6-9

The river that emanates from the new Temple of God in Jerusalem gives us proof that the river brings life to a fallen world.

“Son of man, have you seen this?… when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh. And wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish... And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fails, but they will bear fresh fruit every month because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:9-12

EVIDENCE OF MAN’S PAST REBELLION

“But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.” Ezekiel 47:11

The remaining salted areas are emblematic of the transitional nature of the Millennium. The saltiness of the Dead Sea can rightly be understood to symbolize death. Even with Jesus reigning from David’s throne there will still be death, though it is diminished.

WASTELANDS

Edom in Southern Jordan: The most comprehensive description of Edom’s future is found in Isaiah 34:8-10.

“For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. And the streams of Edom shall be turned into pitch, and her soil into sulfur; her land shall become burning pitch. Night and day it shall not be quenched; its smoke shall go up forever. From generation to generation, it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it forever and ever.” Isaiah 34:8-10

In Jeremiah, it is compared to Sodom and Gomorrah. Its devastation is the result of God avenging Israel. “Because of the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever.” Obadiah 1:10

Life will not be prematurely cut off by pestilence and war, but man will live long: “for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.” Isaiah 65:22b. The age of a hundred will be thought of as dying young; even the sinner, dying before his time as the penalty of his guilt, will live out 100 years. With this view, the effect of human sin will be reduced, but not eradicated. Death will still exist. Only on the New Earth will God finally wipe away all tears (Rev 21.4). Man’s sinful human nature will also result in national rebellion against Christ’s rule and will be firmly dealt with. Nations will serve the Lord or be punished severely. They will need to go up to Jerusalem and observe at least the Feast of Tabernacles or there will be no rain on their land.

“And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain; there shall be the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths. This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.” Zechariah 14:17-19

Work will be a blessing, not a curse. Moreover, the wise use of technology will be expanded.

“They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their descendants with them.” Isaiah 65:21-23

“Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favour, I have had mercy on you. Your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut, that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve, you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste.” Isaiah 60:10-12

LIVING READY TO RULE AND REIGN WITH JESUS

In the Millennium the Levites demoted from being priests will become the temple’s caretakers (Ezekiel 44:11, 14). The Levites must face the consequence of seeking idols instead of God (v. 10). The Levites became a stumbling block of iniquity to Israel, and so they must bear that shame. They shall not come near to God, for they are no longer priests (vv. 12–13). How one lives his or her life results in very real repercussions in the coming Millennial Kingdom.

“But the Levites who went far from me, going astray from me after their idols when Israel went astray, shall bear their punishment. They shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before the people, to minister to them… They shall not come near to me, to serve me as priest, nor come near any of my holy things and the things that are most holy, but they shall bear their shame and the abominations that they have committed. Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the temple, to do all its service and all that is to be done in it.” Ezekiel 44:9-11,13-14

Ezekiel 44:15–31 discloses the duties of the only Levites who are allowed to serve as priests in the Millennial Kingdom: the line of Zadok (cf. 1 Chronicles 6:1–8). In 1 Samuel 2:35 God declared that he would raise up for himself a faithful priest who would act according to his heart and soul. This priest, later confirmed as Zadok (2 Sam 8:17; 15:24–29), was to be rewarded with an enduring house as he walks before God’s anointed forever. God also promised Zadok’s ancestor, Phinehas, that his descendants would become a perpetual priesthood (Numbers 25:13).

The reinstitution of the priestly functions to the Zadokites fulfills God’s promises to their forefathers. When the rest of Israel went astray, the Zadok family priests remained faithful to their temple duties. They will be rewarded by continuing their faithful temple service, only this time they will be doing so directly before the Messiah in the Messianic Kingdom.

The Zadokites are charged with teaching the people the difference between the holy and profane, resulting in their ability to discern the clean from the unclean. The very regulations that the Zadokites will adhere to, allow them to serve as living examples of this kind of separation. They also teach by judging disputes according to God’s rules.
