OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS CHRISTIANS FOR OUR CITIES AND NATIONS

Christians are under attack as never before. Now, those who believe in the biblical definition of marriage and just two genders created by God are being labelled as bigots and treated as such by governments, employers, and, schools.

Intercessors can change the atmosphere in their cities through prayer, worship, and a corporate spiritual authority far greater than any demonic threat or attack.  The posture of our hearts and the words from our mouths determine the atmosphere in a place.  The power of our praises and our prayers can shift atmospheres in a room, a building, a neighbourhood, and even an entire city.

We are still to see what God’s response will be to the prayers of the thousands of saints that gathered to pray in Washington just prior to the election.

 In the early Church, unity was so strong that Scriptures speak of a “great grace” that was released in the city.  This grace opened the door to miracles, signs, and wonders, and salvations on a daily basis (see Acts 4:32-34).  Earlier in this same chapter, it speaks of their daily fellowship and breaking of bread.  Because of these things, God’s grace empowered them to do far beyond what they could have done in the natural.

This should be our desire as we come together as watchmen in prayer over our cities and nation.  We can pray in such agreement with heaven that the atmosphere over the city begins to be permeated with the grace and favour of the Lord.  Our spiritual adversary will continually find ways to spread fear, chaos, turmoil, and hopelessness over the land.  It is our responsibility to displace those demonic spirits by keeping our corporate prayer altars ablaze. 

We must use our authority in Christ to displace rulers in high places and declare the work of the cross and the power of Christ’s resurrection.  Let’s agree together to speak life instead of death, order instead of chaos, and faith instead of fear.

PRAYER AND FASTING

Terry and Barbi Franklin are seeing the results of prayer and fasting in God’s church. God is doing something new in the USA. Also, I am not sure what it is, but God is about to bring something good out of the recent election. I sense we are in for a surprise as God exposes both deception and corruption. For Christians, it will be obvious that God did it and He will get the glory He deserves.

In the video below Terry and Barbi Franklin tell us about what they see happening in Tennessee. Revival is breaking out among churches in Rogersville Tn. Through a statewide effort, 1,000 churches are participating in a call for prayer and fasting. It has now exploded into revival services controlled by the Holy Spirit across the region.

PRAYER IS THE ONLY ANSWER

On Saturday, September 26, Franklin Graham led the Prayer March 2020 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern starting at the Lincoln Memorial. How many people attended the nearly two-mile march in Washington, D.C.? It was estimated at close to 50,000. 

As well, thousands of churches across the United States will pray for repentance and revival on Sunday, September 27 in response to calls by the leaders of more than 50 churches and ministries to observe Repentance Sunday as the country is going through “division, destruction, and degradation.”

“Inspired by Old Testament calls to sacred assemblies, this special day (September 27) marks the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, in the historic Church calendar,” said the organizers on the event’s website.

Rev Franklin Graham has said events this year such as the coronavirus pandemic and injustice has caused the US to reach a boiling point. He said: “I think there’s kind of a boiling point here with many people,” he said. “We have seen injustice on our streets and some of our communities. The frustration that people aren’t heard, that people are marginalized. It seems that all of this is boiling at the same time. “Republicans cannot fix it; Democrats cannot fix it. Only God can.” The US evangelist was speaking in an interview ahead of this past weekend’s national prayer march which took place in Washington DC. Thousands of people walked on the National Mall from Lincoln Memorial to the US Capitol building, pausing to pray at different landmarks.

He said “America is in trouble, but we do have hope and that hope is in almighty God. “We need to pray now more than we’ve ever done in our life. Our communities are hurting, people are divided and there is fear and uncertainty all around.” Rev Graham said it’s hard to say whether there can be a Great Awakening in the nation because many pastors won’t be vocal with the Biblical view on controversial subjects. “Many in the Church today are comfortable and a lot of pastors don’t want to rock the boat,” he said. However, be believes 2020’s events have caused people to think about their spiritual lives. “I sense there is something moving in our country. I don’t believe that our country is going to be spared from God’s judgment. We are not a Christian nation. We are now a secular nation and the secularists are wanting to strip God out of everything,” he said.

The Return will reach beyond the borders of America and gather all nations for a Global Day of Prayer and Repentance. Do what you can to get people involved in this event. Johnathan Cahn, a Messianic Jewish rabbi believes the United States is in the midst of great shaking where the nation may soon pass the point of no return absent large-scale repentance. I am sure Jonathan’s assessment is correct not only for America but Australia and most Western nations.

In Australia, the Aboriginal Christian Elders of Australia, led by Ps Peter Walker, will lead Australia’s churches in a National Solemn Assembly. If you click on Ps Peter Walker you can hear his powerful testimony from alcoholic to Aboriginal Christian elder.

We are in the last days prior to Jesus’ return. Already, fulfilled Bible prophecies make that clear, starting back in 1948 with Israel being re-established as a nation and ever since in the Middle east, wars and rumours of wars. A LONE VOICE AT THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

In recent years, the Democratic Party has only become increasingly supportive of abortion. In the 1990s, under then-President Bill Clinton, the Democrats sought to ensure abortion was “safe, legal, and rare.” It has since, though, been rebranded as a “reproductive right” to be celebrated and shouted.

Hence it was to be applauded that at the close of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, a prominent progressive Catholic priest mentioned the sanctity of life during a prayer in which he asked God to “open our hearts to those most in need.”

Father James Martin, a Jesuit priest, delivered the following prayer:

“Loving God, open our hearts to those most in need,” he prayed. “The unemployed parent worried about feeding his or her children; the woman who is underpaid, harassed, or abused; the black man or woman who fear for their lives; the immigrant at the border, longing for safety. The homeless person looking for a meal; the LGBT teen who is bullied; the unborn child in the womb; the inmate on death row. Help us to be a nation where every life is sacred, all people are loved, and all are welcome, Amen.”

In October 2019, it should be noted, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a professed Catholic, was denied communion at a South Carolina church over his support of access to abortion. Biden has also reversed his position on the Hyde Amendment.

Explaining why he denied Biden communion, Father Robert Morey of Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence said the sacrament “signifies we are one with God, each other, and the church.” “Our actions should reflect that,” he continued. “Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of church teaching.”

He went on to note he would keep the former vice president “in my prayers.” And we should pray, that the prayer offered up by James Martin laid Holy Spirit conviction on many of the Democrats present at the Democratic National Convention.

DANIEL 9 – END TIMES PROPHECIES

FAMINE AND PESTILENCES IN THE LAST DAYS

Conflict, famine and the worst humanitarian crisis in the world have led the United Nations to call for a global response as Yemen nears collapse.  “Four people out of every five, 24 million people in all, need lifesaving aid in what remains the world’s largest humanitarian crisis,” reported UN Secretary-General António Guterres.  “Two million Yemeni children are suffering from acute malnutrition, which could stunt their growth and affect them throughout their lives.”  Aside from the humanitarian crisis, Yemen is currently facing the largest outbreak of cholera in the world and one of the most substantial mortality rates of COVID-19.

Pray essential resources and aid will fall into the hands of those who need it.  With most Yemeni children remembering nothing but war, pray they will seek and find the King of Peace.

Many Christians are being denied lifesaving resources as emergency relief is often distributed through Islamic organisations and local mosques.  But as the Word reassures, “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” – John 14:13-14.
