INSPIRING SPEECH – PRO ETERNAL LIFE

One of the most moving moments in the Republican Convention was the speech by Sister Dede Byrne, a surgeon and army veteran of the War in Afghanistan, who joined the order of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Sister Dede Byrne speaks at the 2020 Republican National Convention

Here is an excerpt:

“Humility is at the foundation of our order, which makes it very difficult to talk about myself. But I can speak about my experience working for those fleeing war-torn and impoverished countries all around the world. Those refugees all share a common experience. They have all been marginalized, viewed as insignificant, powerless and voiceless. And while we tend to think of the marginalized as living beyond our borders, the truth is the largest marginalized group in the world can be found here in the United States. They are the unborn.

As Christians, we first met Jesus as a stirring embryo in the womb of an unwed mother and saw him born nine months later in the poverty of the cave. It is no coincidence that Jesus stood up for what was just and was ultimately crucified because what he said was not politically correct or fashionable. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand up for life against the politically correct or fashionable of today. We must fight against a legislative agenda that supports and even celebrates destroying life in the womb. Keep in mind, the laws we create define how we see our humanity. We must ask ourselves: What we are saying when we go into a womb and snuff out an innocent, powerless, voiceless life? As a physician, I can say without hesitation: Life begins at conception. While what I have to say may be difficult for some to hear, I am saying it because I am not just pro-life, I am pro-eternal life. I want all of us to end up in heaven together someday. Which brings me to why I am here today.

Donald Trump is the most pro-life president this nation has ever had, defending life at all stages. His belief in the sanctity of life transcends politics. President Trump will stand up against Biden-Harris, who are the most anti-life presidential ticket ever, even supporting the horrors of late-term abortion and infanticide. Because of his courage and conviction, President Trump has earned the support of America’s pro-life community. Moreover, he has a nationwide of religious standing behind him. You’ll find us here with our weapon of choice, the rosary. Thank you, Mr. President, we are all praying for you.”

BEST OPTION FOR CHRISTIANS

The 2020 Republican National Convention was planned around the theme “Land of Opportunity,” but it was faith in God, religious freedom and the pro-life movement that stole the spotlight.

When we the people elected Donald Trump. The people of faith suddenly had a fierce advocate in the White House,” Cissie Graham Lynch added. “He appointed judges who respect the First Amendment. He supported religious beliefs in court. He ensured that religious ministries would not be forced to violate their beliefs. He reversed the policies that placed our little girls at risk,” she continued. “And on the world stage, President Trump became the first president to talk about the importance of religious freedom at the United Nations, giving hope to people around the world,” Lynch said. “In America, we have not experienced physical persecution even though the left has tried to silence us.”

The convention also highlighted the need for the protection of the unborn. Pro-life advocate Abby Johnson told her personal story about how she worked in a Planned Parenthood clinic, rising to the job of abortion clinic director. Her story is told in a book and a movie titled “Unplanned.”

A LONE VOICE AT THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

In recent years, the Democratic Party has only become increasingly supportive of abortion. In the 1990s, under then-President Bill Clinton, the Democrats sought to ensure abortion was “safe, legal, and rare.” It has since, though, been rebranded as a “reproductive right” to be celebrated and shouted.

Hence it was to be applauded that at the close of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, a prominent progressive Catholic priest mentioned the sanctity of life during a prayer in which he asked God to “open our hearts to those most in need.”

Father James Martin, a Jesuit priest, delivered the following prayer:

“Loving God, open our hearts to those most in need,” he prayed. “The unemployed parent worried about feeding his or her children; the woman who is underpaid, harassed, or abused; the black man or woman who fear for their lives; the immigrant at the border, longing for safety. The homeless person looking for a meal; the LGBT teen who is bullied; the unborn child in the womb; the inmate on death row. Help us to be a nation where every life is sacred, all people are loved, and all are welcome, Amen.”

In October 2019, it should be noted, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a professed Catholic, was denied communion at a South Carolina church over his support of access to abortion. Biden has also reversed his position on the Hyde Amendment.

Explaining why he denied Biden communion, Father Robert Morey of Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence said the sacrament “signifies we are one with God, each other, and the church.” “Our actions should reflect that,” he continued. “Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of church teaching.”

He went on to note he would keep the former vice president “in my prayers.” And we should pray, that the prayer offered up by James Martin laid Holy Spirit conviction on many of the Democrats present at the Democratic National Convention.

THE TIDE IS TURNING AS WE PRAY

Christians must continue to join together in corporate agreement. In the midst of extremist views and divisive rhetoric, the tide is turning as the Ekklesia of God rise with a united voice on behalf of Australia.

South Australian Christians asked the nation to stand with them and pray, and it resulted in increased effectiveness of prayer as tens of thousands joined their voices to help in the fight to stop the SA abortion bill to full term. To those who interceded for the Walk for Life and the 39 Days of Mercy, Heaven has heard and freedom for the unborn is the answer – a turning of the tide away from the shedding of innocent blood.

Adelaide- You truly were a ‘voice for the voiceless’ today! Over 3000 gathered in Adelaide this morning to stand and walk for life.

Many Prayer Groups have been calling for prayer and fasting particularly at this time for the unborn, in dire danger of the radical abortion bills that have swept Australia. Groups such as Canberra Declaration have done a fine job of initiating and coordinating prayer at this time.

The following scripture is appropriate:

“We feel a personal responsibility to continually be thanking God for you, our spiritual family, every time we pray. And we have every reason to do so because your faith is growing marvellously beyond measure. The unselfish love each of you share for one another is increasing and overflowing!”

PROOF TRUMP IS GOD’S MAN FOR AMERICA

Trump Made Pro-Life History Today at March for Life 2020. He becomes first president to speak at March for Life in person.

At the rally, Trump offered these inspiring words:

“Sadly, the far left is actively working to erase our God-given rights, shut down faith-based charities, ban religious believers from the public square and silence Americans who believe in the sanctity of life. They are coming after me because I am fighting for you. And we are fighting for those who have no voice, and we will win. … Democrats have embraced the most radical and extreme positions taken and seen in this country for years and decades and you could even say for centuries. Nearly every top Democrat in Congress now supports taxpayer-funded abortion all the way up until the moment of birth.”

What else has Trump done that is pro life?

He has signed into law legislation that excludes organisations that perform abortions from Title X projects, reinstated and enlarged the Mexico City Policy preventing tax payer dollars from funding foreign abortions, defended conscience rights, called on Congress to prohibit later-term abortions where a child can feel pain, will not allow taxpayers’ dollars to fund scientific research using fetal tissue, is building an international coalition to dispel the concept that abortion is a human right, and has created pathways to help children and women in often difficult situations with foster care, adoption and support for healing.

May the grace of God continue to be on President Trump for his courageous stance for the dignity of all life.

HOW CHURCHES CAN POSITIVELY IMPACT THEIR COMMUNITY

August 20, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — The standing room only crowd attending the August 19 meeting of the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners in North Carolina erupted in loud cheers as the commissioners passed a resolution to become the first official sanctuary county for pre-born children in America.

Attorney Gualberto Garcia Jones, Esq., president of the Personhood Alliance, believes that Sanctuaries for Life are constitutional. “Look at the 1977 opinion of Poelker v. Doe, a case in which the Supreme Court held that the Constitution does not forbid a state or city, pursuant to democratic processes, from expressing a preference for normal childbirth instead of abortion. The Supreme Court also decided in the 1989 case of Webster v. Reproductive Health Services that Roe imposes no limitation on a state’s authority to make a value judgement favouring childbirth over abortion.”

The president of Personhood North Carolina, Pastor Keith Pavlansky, declared the passage of this pro-life resolution an historic event and emphasised that the resolution “is the first step in adopting a complete culture of life in our communities.”

The role of the Church and a return to law and order

“It is going to take time for communities to build connections and learn to invest in a culture of life again, but there isn’t a moment to lose,” stated Mrs. Quale. “Our communities are breaking under the weight of all the intentional political division forced upon us every day. We’ve forgotten, and in some ways, even denied our need for real human relationships. This is why the fight to defend the sanctity of life is the Church’s battle, and this is why we are so excited about the courage and leadership shown by the people of Yadkin County and our affiliate, Personhood North Carolina.”

In Yadkin County, Pastor Keith Pavlansky is working with local communities to begin the next phase of the Sanctuaries for Life project. “As the resolution states, the County Board of Commissioners will be reaching out to activate the community to come together to provide care and support for expectant moms and dads, before and after their children are born.”

Pastor Pavlansky said, “I am especially excited to activate the churches to step up to the plate and do what Christians have done from the earliest days — to do as Jesus commanded and love our neighbour as ourselves. I am convinced that when the community steps up, we can make abortion unthinkable and finally obsolete.”

TRUMP MOST PRO LIFE PRESIDENT EVER

President Donald Trump assured a prominent gathering of pro-life leaders and activists Tuesday night that the pro-life movement will “never fail” as long as “we keep trusting God” and quoted the Old Testament to argue that “every child is a precious gift from God.”

Trump addressed hundreds gathered for the 11th annual Campaign for Life Gala, hosted by the nation’s most prominent pro-life lobbying organisation, Susan B. Anthony List, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.

He stressed that “every life has meaning” and that “every life is worth protecting.”

“As the Lord says in Jeremiah, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart,'” Trump said, quoting Jeremiah 1:5.

Trump, whom many conservatives believe to be one of the greatest pro-life presidents in history even though he has only been in office for just 15 months, praised his administration’s pro-life accomplishments and declared to the crowd that he has kept his campaign promises to pro-lifers.

Trump’s speech came on the same day that the Department of Health and Human Services officially proposed a rule change to the Title X Family Planning Grant Program so that abortion providers wouldn’t receive federal tax dollars through the program.

“Today, we are making another historic announcement. For decades, American taxpayers have been wrongfully forced to subsidise the abortion industry through Title X federal funding,” Trump said. “So today, we have kept another promise. My administration has proposed a new rule to prohibit Title X funding from going to any clinic that performs abortions.”

Trump followed in the footsteps of Vice President Mike Pence, who spoke at the gala last year.

“When a mother and a father hold a new baby in their arms, they are changed forever,” the president said. “When a child says, ‘Mommy or Daddy,’ for the first time, there is nothing like it anywhere in the world. No matter what you do, there is nothing like it. When parents watch their children thrive and grow, they are filled with joy beyond words and a love beyond measure. When we look into the eyes of a newborn child, there is no doubt we see the beauty of human soul and the mystery of God’s great creation.”

“As long we have faith in our citizens, confidence in our values and trust in our God, then we will never, ever fail,” he asserted. “Our nation will thrive, our people will prosper and America will be greater than ever before. That is what’s happening.”

SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser called the president’s words “encouraging and warmly received.” She stated that Trump’s remarks at the annual gala represent “a watershed moment” in the history of the pro-life movement.

“President Trump has embraced the pro-life movement as his own. True to his word, he is governing as the most pro-life president our nation has ever seen,” Dannenfelser said. “He has been a fighter and a champion for unborn children, their mothers, and pro-life taxpayers, and his administration has made unprecedented gains for life. With President Trump leading the charge and the pro-life grassroots energized by his agenda, we are closer than ever to ending the injustice of abortion and restoring a society that protects every mother and child.”

Later on in the evening, Counsellor to the President, Kelly Anne Conway, a longtime conservative pro-life pollster, received the SBA List’s 2018 Distinguished Leader Award. Another speaker at the event was Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, who was shot last year by a far-left gunman during a Congressional baseball practice in Virginia. Scalise led the “Toast for Life.

WOE TO THOSE THAT CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL

The March 14 episode “Bad Faith,” continues the ongoing plot of Eddie Lane (Aaron Paul) running the fictional Meyerist movement while some prominent members experience some crisis of beliefs. One of them includes the former leader Cal Roberts (Hugh Dancy) who has also been working as a motivational speaker following his loss of status. One of his clients includes a prominent congressman, which promises some political benefits to the group in the long run. Until then, we’re treated to a brief commercial on the fight for abortion. The twist here is that the commercial is part of the show.

Here is what the Congressman says about those that support the rights of the unborn child, those that are Pro Life – “dark forces in our society”  and those that support the right to abortion are involved in “one of the most important and righteous fights taking place in the nation”

Congressman: …I’ll say this in conclusion, the fight fight that the Americans for Reproductive Freedom (AFRF) is waging against the dark forces in our society, forces that are hellbent on dictating what women can and can’t do with their own bodies, is one of the most important and righteous fights taking place in our nation today. It’s a privilege to have the AFRF’s support and as both a congressman and a citizen, it’s an honour to offer them mine.

The extent and intensity of the spiritual warfare is now becoming obvious and is just another “end times” sign for discerning Christians who hold to the authority of Scripture.
