CHILE REJECTS SOCIALISM: CONSERVATIVE CATHOLIC ELECTED PRESIDENT IN LANDSLIDE WIN

Pro life, Catholic José Antonio Kast just won 58% of the vote in Chile’s national elections. That’s a big boon for Latin America and the dissident right. Kast’s victory kicks out the governing Communist Party led by career leftist Jeannette Jara. Kast’s win is also a rejection of mass immigration, open borders, and the Marxian woke hijacking of life, livelihoods, law, and order.

A possible explanation for the major voter shift is Kast’s Partido Republicano (PR) Party’s firm commitments to faith, family, and freedom. In this sense, PR’s win was powered by the fresh optimism offered by MAGA-level patriotism. PR is “the force of change,” their website states, with further campaign slogans presenting themselves as a clear rebuke of globalism. For instance, ‘diversity is our strength’ is replaced with “together we are strong,” and “together we are change.” Instead of “Defund the Police,” PR promises to “defeat organised crime.” Likewise, the Open Borders doctrine is implicitly rejected by Kast’s additional promise to “restore security and economic progress.” This coincides with an implied no to mass immigration. “We are here to build greatness: A strong country, a safe country, a better country for all. To rebuild the pride of being Chilean.”

Nuclear Family Upheld

Other sections of PR’s website communicate a sound appreciation for constitutional democracy and protecting Western Christian traditions. Such as defending the nuclear family. Listed as number 3 in PR’s 17 core principles is a refreshingly strong affirmation of traditional marriage. Signalling a departure from LGBTQ+ism, PR’s policy is emphatically pro-family. “The family unit is founded on marriage between a man and a woman,” PR declared. “Therefore, we believe that, based on this family ideal, children have the right to a father and a mother.” “Society must,” PR’s principles page added, “make every effort to create the conditions for the exercise of this right.”

Media Meltdown

Much of this explains legacy media’s apparent narrative manipulation, which seems to distort the Overton Window. Almost every major outlet appears to have intentionally mislabelled PR and Kast with the pejorative prefix ‘far-right’. Far from far-right extremism, the party offers explicit support for “social justice.” Even with PR’s caveat against the welfare state, this is still a salute to the forced redistribution of wealth. For example, Principle 7 declares “that one of the most relevant elements of the common good is social justice.” We believe, PR stated, in “the virtue of giving each person what is due to them, based on guaranteeing everyone the greatest possible dignity.” This means ending “serious disadvantage,” and “making Chile a country free of all poverty and the evils associated with it.”

Election Result Welcomed

Those not mourning the election of Kast and his life, liberty and limited government Republicans included Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. She shared her thoughts and congratulations with the 59-year-old Catholic, and father of nine, in an X post. Meloni indicated that she was looking forward to “stronger ties between their two nations.” Beginning with “economic cooperation and the fight against irregular immigration.”

Argentina’s Javier Milei was slightly more enthusiastic. According to the Buenos Aires Herald, the Libertarian leader described Kast’s Make Chile Great Again victory as a “crushing triumph.” Naming a chief reason for Latin Americans to cheer with joy, he exclaimed, the “Left is receding, freedom is advancing!” “I am sure we will work together so that the Americas can embrace the ideas of freedom and liberate ourselves from the 21st-century socialist yoke.”

It appears that going into Jesus Millennial Kingdom there will be some sheep nations with the many goat nations. Hopefully Chile, Italy and Argentina will be among the sheep nations.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Matthew 25: 31-34

SEISMIC SPIRITUAL SHIFT IN THE WORLD’S LARGEST CATHOLIC COUNTRY

Brazil is witnessing a seismic shift in its religious landscape that’s rapidly reshaping the country’s spiritual and social fabric. Evangelicals are poised to outnumber Catholics as the largest faith group there. In the heart of Brazil, amidst the rhythmic beats of samba and the vibrant colours of carnival, something spiritually profound is unfolding. “We are on the verge of a religious change in Brazil’, said Brazilian sociologist Dr. José Alves. If there’s one image that symbolizes Catholicism’s influence here, it’s Rio de Janeiro’s 98-foot-tall Christ the Redeemer. Inaugurated in 1931, the iconic statute celebrated the country’s rich Catholic heritage. There’s also the beautiful blue Cathedral of Brasilia – one of the largest Catholic churches in Brazil’s capital city.  But despite these historical landmarks, Alves says the faith’s dominance is rapidly declining. “In 1950, 93 percent of Brazilians identified as Catholics. The Church was losing about 1 percent of followers every decade,” said Alves. “However, from 1991 onwards, the Catholic Church started to lose 1 percent of followers every year, resulting in a dramatic drop.”

Evangelical Christianity, once a minority faith here, is now growing at unprecedented levels. The surveys show that what was once the world’s largest Catholic nation, will be overwhelming evangelical by 2030. Signs of this growth are everywhere—mega-churches dotting the landscape, filled with thousands of worshippers each week. That includes Andre Fernandes’ church in São Paulo. “We are living in the fulfillment of a promise,” said Fernandes, who pastors Lagoinha Church. “For many decades, we have heard that Brazil would experience a wave of revival that would be exported around the world, and I believe that this is what we are experiencing at this moment.” It also includes Lourival Pereira’s congregation in the Amazon region—boasting more than 10,000 members across roughly 600 cell groups. “The foundation of our growth is these cells,” said Pereira, pastor of a Foursquare Church in Belem. “The real revival is taking place outside the church walls. Every day, people are meeting in small groups in homes; it’s the biblical model.”

Then there’s J.B. Carvalho’s church in the capital city of Brasília. “We started the church in 2003 with only 25 people. Today, we have about 12,000 people in Brasília alone,” said Carvalho of Community of the Nations Church. “We also have another 15,000 people in Fortaleza. Our churches are spread throughout Brazil.” And Silas Malafaia’s church in Rio de Janeiro is one of the largest and most influential Pentecostal churches in Brazil with more than 100,000 members. “In the next seven years or so, we will be the majority in the country,” declared Malafaia of the Assembly of God Victory in Christ church. “Today, we make up about 35% of the population, and God’s Kingdom has influence in every corner of Brazilian society.” Marcelo Crivella, a well-known evangelical pastor turned politician, once served as mayor of Rio de Janeiro. He says that, years ago, evangelical Christians hesitated to get involved in politics—but that’s no longer the case. More than 30% of the country’s legislators are now evangelical. “We are more than 140 deputies and more than 20 senators,” said Crivella, a Brazilian Congressman.

Many of them gather each Wednesday in the halls of Brazil’s Congress for worship and prayer. Celina Leão, the vice governor of Brasília, said that God is also at work in other branches of the government. “I used to participate in those prayer meetings when I was in Congress,” Leao said. “Now, every month in the governor’s office, we meet for prayer, and people come to my office. It’s a wonderful time to see friends and be in communion.” The country’s first evangelical church opened in 1922. By 1990, the number had grown to more than 7,000 congregations. Nearly 30 years later, it grew to almost 110,000. The growth is so staggering that one study found 17 new evangelical churches opening every day across Brazil. “Now in Brazil we have 550,000 churches,” declared Crivella. Ezenete Rodrigues says this dramatic transformation began, as in many great movements, with the most profound of practices: prayer. “I’ve always believed that prayer is like planting: You plant, plant, plant, and at some point, it will sprout, and then the explosion will come,” Rodrigues told CBN News.

Rodrigues is one of the country’s most well-known intercessors. She has organized countless prayer rallies nationwide, urging her fellow countrymen to turn to God. “Brazil has been hungry and thirsty for God, and the key has been intercession—bending our knees, seeking God, and letting the Spirit of the Lord guide us in everything we do,” said Rodrigues. “Today, we can look back and see so many beautiful fruits of this commitment.” Those who have been tracking the explosive growth of the evangelical movement here in Brazil say worship has also played a monumental role in the church’s growth. And one Christian artist, above all, has been at the centre of it all. Her name is Ana Paula Valadao. “Even growing up, I had glimpses of crowds, of multitudes worshipping the Lord,” Valadao said. From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, her group’s music became synonymous with a powerful worship movement that emphasized intimacy with God, passionate worship, and personal revival. “As I was songwriting, the whole idea was about transformation, was about changing the nation.” Valadao said.

Paula’s songs played across Brazil, helping many experience a deeper connection to their faith. “It was about healing the land, and we started seeing amazing salvation numbers,” said Valadao. She held concerts in strategic locations, drawing millions of people, many of whom were Catholics. “Like the carnival sight in Rio de Janeiro and in the soccer stadiums, Jesus broke every record, gathering more people than any soccer tournament,” Valadao recalled. Because of her songs, many Catholic services in Brazil today have embraced a more evangelistic style of worship, shifting away from traditional liturgies to incorporate contemporary music. Father Antonio Luiz Catelan Ferreira, who leads the Cathedral of São Sebastião in Rio de Janeiro, says the change is part of an effort to encourage former Catholics to ‘come home.’ “People are attracted to environments where worship celebrations and moments of prayer are done in a more charismatic way,” Ferreira said. “Today, a growing number of Catholics are returning precisely because prayer meetings are conducted in a more Pentecostal style.”

The Bible refers to Jesus’ judging the nations, and mention is made of sheep and goat nations. Hopefully, Brazil will be a sheep nation going into Jesus’s Millennial reign on this Earth.

SHEEP AND GOAT NATIONS

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei announced his intention to make Guatemala Latin America’s pro-life capital during a speech at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C., last week. Giammattei delivered remarks at an event hosted by the Institute for Women’s Health, a pro-life organization founded by former Trump administration Department of Health and Human Services official Valerie Huber, and the International Human Rights Group.

Guatemala
Members of the Catholic and Evangelical churches and conservative sectors participate in a demonstration against abortion in Guatemala City on Sept. 2, 2018, as the Congress is scheduled to vote on September 4, 2018, a bill to further criminalize abortion. Guatemala only allows abortions in cases where the mother’s life is deemed to be in danger.

As noted in a statement from the Institute for Women’s Health, Giammattei was not invited to President Joe Biden’s Democracy Summit, where leaders from the world’s democracies gathered: “Guatemala was not invited to take part in the Summit, despite being a democratic nation. Alfonso Aguilar, president of the International Human Rights Group, suggested that ideological differences were likely a significant reason for the country’s omission since Guatemala is unapologetically pro-life.”

In his speech at the Institute for Women’s Health event, Giammattei elaborated on his passion for the pro-life movement and announced that Guatemala would be declared the pro-life capital of Ibero-America on Mar. 9, 2022: “Every individual deserves to have their lives protected, from conception to natural death. … It is totally false that abortion is a human right. Any effort to try to impose abortion in a country is undue interference in international affairs.”

“We seek to protect life and to prevent interference,” he added. “We do not approve of abortion because of my faith but also my profession as a medical doctor. Life should be protected from conception.”

It is wonderful to be able to put up posts like this that show us there are sheep nations in the world. Those that hold to God’s values.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before Him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.Matthew 24:12-14

MALAWI’S NEW CHRISTIAN PRESIDENT

Malawi’s newest president, Lazarus Chakwera signals hope for the people of Malawi and for Christians across the African continent. He was sworn into office in late June 2020 and identifies himself as a “man of God.”

Lazarus Chakwera hopes to usher in a new era for Malawi

After Malawi’s much-disputed 2019 election—the results of which were annulled by the court system—Chakwera threw his hat in the ring and was embraced by the country’s large Christian population.

Chakwera’s leadership skills originated in the church.  He led Malawi’s Assemblies of God for over 20 years, only leaving his role as pastor when he felt God’s firm call to politics.

“I had to argue with God over a direction in life that didn’t seem natural to me,” he admitted. “God was saying that: ‘I’m extending your ministry so that you’re able to pastor a whole nation.’”

It was a thrilling thought for Chakwera, who then studied the Scriptures carefully to understand God’s design for leadership in the social and political realms of life.

Although he has no intention of turning Malawi into a theocracy, Chakwera understands the importance of Christian leadership for the protection and prosperity of every nation.

“The president believes that government is something that God subscribes to in nations in order to bring about order and progress in society, for the flourishing of human beings,” noted Sean Kampondeni, one of Chakwera’s advisors.

“In Malawi, he feels that the government institutions have been deliberately crippled over the last 25 years to not provide that service and he is there as someone who is offering [himself] to do that.”

Chakwera has spoken openly about his “dream” for Malawi, a dream “that binds us together…to enjoy shared prosperity, not just freedom.”

Now that he’s been elected president, Chakwera is determined to lead Malawi—and surrounding nations—into a season of God-honoring action.

As Christians across the African continent are threatened by violent persecution and terrorist attacks, Chakwera is focused on protecting the vulnerable populations within Malawi’s borders.

“This new Malawi is a home for [everyone] and so long as I am its president, it will be a home in you too will prosper,” Chakwera told the nation.

So far, the president has worked hard to unite the many different factions across the nation.

“He’s got a huge task as the past regime was so openly tribalistic in its appointments of people and people felt sidelined, especially from the central and northern regions,” wrote one journalist.

“Christians dream for a better country and an improved leadership,” added Matilda Matabwa, secretary general of the Malawian Assemblies of God.

“We expect to see and experience the birth of a new nation, and are excited to have a highly respected man of God as the head of state.”

God is responsible for appointing the leaders of nations and I have reported previously on the fact that we have seen God over rule in seemingly impossible situations to appoint His Kingdom man, three notable examples are Donald Trump (God’s wrecking ball) in the USA, Scott Morrison in Australia and Jair Bolsanaro of Brazil. This latest appointment, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi is an encouraging sign. Sadly in many nations God gives the people the leader they want who will lead them further down a path of judgement and destruction.

At the start of Jesus Millennial Reign we know God judges the nations. It is called the Sheep and Goat Judgement and it will determine those who live on into the Millennium. How important it is that we pray that our nation may be a sheep nation.

JESUS WILL RULE & REIGN THE NATIONS FROM JERUSALEM

I am on the Australian Board of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC). Recently, we had our International Conference in Jerusalem which I attended. The following is my report on the conference. It challenged me, I hope it will do so for you.

The Commonwealth of Israel – Releasing a blessing for the nations

November 3-7th, 2018, Jerusalem

The opening address for the conference was given by Jan Sturesson, Chairman of ICCC International on the evening prior to Day One of the conference.

The hour has come for ICCC to serve in a new way – reformation in practice.

DAY ONE

The Commonwealth of Israel – Releasing a blessing for the nations

What does it mean for Israel, the nations and the body of Christ?

The timing and location of the conference was strategic, Israel is celebrating its 70th anniversary. It is no accident that the USA and other nations are or will move their embassies to Jerusalem. Do their leaders know that God will rule and reign from there in the Millennium? Probably not.  Little do these nations know how important it is for them to support Israel:

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd divides His sheep from the goats. Then He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left hand.” Matthew 25:31-33

The sheep nations get to live on in the Millennial reign of Yeshua but the goat nations do not.

Will your nation be a sheep or goat nation?

Our International Board were Holy Spirit lead to choose Rick Riding of Succat Hallel as the opening speaker. Aligning with God and His purposes for this time.

Succat Hallel (Hebrew for Tabernacle of Praise) is a dynamic community of worshippers and intercessors from five continents drawn together to stand as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem.

I will urge all people who want to connect with God’s purposes for these “last days” to connect with and support Succat Hallel. Rick challenged me to do all I can to ensure Australia is not a goat nation.

Recent events in Australia, particularly Scott Morrison’s elevation to Prime Minister and Josh Fryberg to Deputy, indicate God has given us a window of opportunity to get in step with His purposes. The fact our Prime Minister and his Deputy indicate they will consider moving the Australian embassy to Jerusalem is another very significant indicator, but requires significant prayer and Holy Spirit led action to become a reality. I will make sure all Prayer Networks in Australia get a copy of this document.

The second speaker, Calev Myers, Founder and President of Arise (Alliance to Reinforce Israel’s Security and Economy) was also a Holy Spirit inspired choice that reinforced the message given by Rick Riding that Israel is on track with God’s plan to be a blessing to the nations with emerging technologies that will change the world. One day of the ICCC conference was devoted to support the first ARISE SUMMIT more on that later.

The rest of the first day of the ICCC Conference was spent on: Leveraging the relationship between business organisations in the body of Christ and the state of Israel. Including Breakout Sessions.

Once again, the choice of speakers was Holy Spirit inspired particularly as Jan shared that he did not think all would turn up. ICCC played a significant role in connecting these men and forming what will be significant relationships – Jews/Christians.

DAY TWO

Key note: A Commonwealth Future Starts with Prayer

Albert Veksler, Director of Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast Movement

The first-ever Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast was hosted at the Israel Knesset (Israeli Parliament) on June 6th by the Speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and Members of the Knesset, Robert Ilatov (Chairman of the Beiteinu party) and Rabbi Yahuda Glick.

More than 550 delegates from 56 countries attended, representing politicians, pastors, leaders, and business people from all walks of life (ICCC was well represented including our Chairman).

At the reception in the Knesset commemorating the 50-year anniversary of the reunification of the ancient city of Jerusalem, Mr Ilatov (as mentioned, a speaker on Day One of our conference) spoke of the need to stand together to promote the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy of Jerusalem as the undivided capital and ‘eternal home’ of the people of Israel. “Now is the time to put prayer into action and to put pressure on our governments to relocate their embassies to Jerusalem.”

Michele Bachman. Former U.S. Congresswoman. And head of the U.S. Allies Caucus, received a standing ovation as she gave her commitment on behalf of the U.S. to stand with Israel, including a reminder that those who bless Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:2-3 and Acts 3:25).

After Albert Veksler on “the future starts with prayer”, there was a distinguished panel on:

How do we stand in the GAP for Israel and Jerusalem?”

Panel speakers:

Dr Jorgen Buhler, Director, International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem (trained physicist and ordained minister (German Pentecostal Federation)

Israel Pochtar, Founder of Voice of Judah Israel and Senior Pastor in Ashdad. Hebrew speaking Messianic Congregation.

Voice of Judah Israel is a voice in the land that proclaims the Good News to the people of Israel; reaches out a helping hand to feed and clothe the poor, plants and cultivates congregations, and raises up a generation of servant leaders.

Dr Naim Khoury, cofounder of Holy Land Missions based in Bethlehem working with Arab Christians (60% of church members unemployed)

ICCC’s participation in the first Arise Summit 2018 (Connecting Businesses, Facilitating Investments in Israeli Industries, Advancing Peaceful Coexistence) in Tel Aviv on the third day of the conference was a major initiative for ICCC in how we can stand in the GAP for Israel and Jerusalem.

ARISE exists to combat such threats to the security and economy of Israel through highly strategic advocacy.

What’s the Impact of BDS on Palestinians?

Well over 100,000 Palestinians are employed, this very day, in Jewish businesses across Israel, Judea and Samaria. Currently, some 70,000 Palestinians possess Israeli work permits, with experts estimating that tens of thousands more are employed illegally by Jewish citizens of Israel. Approximately 30,000 Palestinians are employed in Jewish-owned businesses throughout the West Bank, providing upwards of USD $300,000,000 in salaries to Palestinians per annum.

Each salary earned by them supports an average of ten people, due to the traditional multi-generational co-habitation in Palestinian households. The very businesses which the boycott movement would like to shut down put food on the table for approximately 1,000,000 Palestinians every day.

Arab Christians: All agreed, ICCC needs to consider how we work with people such as Dr Khoury to help, particularly with training (TWL) and mentoring of Arab Christian business people starting in Bethlehem.

Every ICCC Chapter needs to connect with local, State and National Prayer Networks to participate with prayer for the nation, prayer for Israel and other nations as led by the Holy Spirit.

The rest of the DAY THREE provided “A Taste of the Kingdom in business and working life” with testimonies and excellent choice of Breakout Sessions:

  1. Business Clinic for Israeli Entrepreneurs.
  2. Serving the Body of Christ using the new ICCC training materials – Transformed Working Life.
  3. How to make a Biblical based business/life plan.
  4. Stand in the GAP in prayer (What does it mean in real life).

The evening session “Releasing a blessing from Israel to the nations – Business in the days to come” was the last session of the conference as Day 4 was devoted to the Arise Summit.

The speaker Peter Tsuahira, Director of Or HaCarmel (Light of Carmel) Ministry Centre. It is a residential community to be a demonstration of the love of God to Israel. Since its beginning in 2002 it has become a place for the development and launching of new projects and areas of service for those in need. Peter is also an International Business Consultant.

He reinforced the message we had been getting since the start of the conference. God will rule nations when He returns and He will rule with a rod of iron. Zechariah expresses this well.

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.” Zechariah 14:16-17

For me once again it asks the question; will my nation be a sheep or goat nation and what am I doing now to ensure the truth of where we are in Biblical history is made known.

My calling is to provide resources (power point sermons, podcasts and videos) to equip the “last days” church and to partner with organisations that understand the times and know their calling from God (www.powerpointsermons.net)

I am convinced that apart from its leading role in supporting Israel, ICCC is playing an important role at this time to both train up marketplace leaders and to connect with and support other marketplace ministries.
