In his speech on Thursday, August 16, Senator Ricardo Lara slandered therapists, pastors, and Bible-believing Christians . Lara’s defamatory statement on the floor of the Senate came in defence of AB 2943, a bill that bans the sale of goods and services to adults experiencing unwanted same sex attractions and behaviour, as well as gender dysphoria. The disgusting slur from Lara claims that beliefs about “conversion” lead to torture, and even “perpetuated the brutal murder” of two children in Los Angeles at the hand of their parents. Much of what Lara dogmatically claims are lies and is unsupported by the facts. Michael Brown does a great job of dealing with the lies, providing evidence for Biblical truth. Sadly, the bill will be passed into law and persecution of Christian leaders will escalate. God told us that this will happen in the “last days” so we know Jesus return is near. Jesus also told His disciples that it in the “last days” it will be like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. How true. Again, in the last days, everything that can be shaken will be shaken so that what cannot be shaken remains.
