With the Judaeo-Christian tradition, western societies collectively understood that God reigns above the affairs of men—and we shall all answer to Him in the end. But something has changed in recent years largely spawned by evolution.
JUDAEO CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW
- There is an objective reality.
- Moral law is immutable and handed down from God
(rather than invented and imposed by mankind). - Each person is accountable to a Judge who will execute
perfect justice in due time.

CONTRASTING WORLDVIEWS
Humanism versus Christianity:
Man is Supreme versus God is Supreme
Man is basically good versus Man is inherently evil (disobeying his creator)
Evolution produced life versus God created life
Life has no meaning versus Jesus gives life meaning
Morality is irrelevant versus God’s Word determines morality
Truth is relevant versus Truth is absolute
The supernatural is a myth versus The supernatural is real
There is no life after death versus Eternal life possible through Jesus
Life is about achievement versus Life is about service to God
The world’s only hope is economic political and social reform versus The world’s only hope is Jesus.
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:15-17
Which worldview do you hold? Your eternal destiny depends upon you making the right choice.
God has given us the truth about His world from its beginning to its end. Fulfilled prophecy proves it is the word of God. Jesus expected the Old Testament Scriptures to be fulfilled to the letter because the honour of God resides in the fulfillment of His Word. That is why Jesus made it a condition of Christian discipleship, that we not be ashamed of His words because His honour is likewise at stake.
“For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26
